I booked a stay for my girlfriend through Expedia, but due to a check-in date issue, she was forced to rebook and pay again, while I was still charged for the unused reservation. When I called the hotel immediately to fix the mistake, Nick at the front desk admitted their system could not adjust the date and told her to book in person. He also said he would ask the manager to waive the cancellation fee. She followed their instructions, paid in full, and stayed the night--but now the hotel is refusing to waive the original charge, double-billing us for the same stay. To make matters worse, management has been dodging my calls and refusing to address the issue. This is completely dishonest and a shady way to take advantage of customers. If you book here, be prepared for terrible customer service and a management team that hides when there is a problem. Avoid this place at all costs. read more

Worst experience that has ever happened to me. They canceled both of my reservations without calling to let me know. I was already driving to Blythe when I received an email that they canceled my reservation due to the rate being too low. I am a Choice employee and receive employee discounts. They do not honor and cancel without remorse. If this property does not want to accept SED rates, they should not have it available online. I called for them to reinstate my reservation and the front desk man Told me he could not because the manager said to cancel and there was nothing he can do about it. I asked to be transferred to the manager and he said he was not there and would call me back. We've stood here several times and I never had an issue. I had reservations for July 24-27, 2025 through booking.com and cancel them a month in advance due to the passing of my mother on April 27. 2025. I reached out to booking.com and they have compassion as well as sent an email to the Quality Inn management. Management at Quality Inn has absolutely no compassion and will not refund my $332.55. In order to get refunded I had to cancel 150 days prior to my reservation. I'm sorry, had I known my mom was passing away I would have canceled my reservation 150 days prior to her passing. My husband reached out to them to see if we could go a different weekend and they said no. This place is all about stealing your money and I will never stay at this hotel again due to management having no compassion at all. Nothing but problems with the hotel management. Driving cross country and needed to change plans and cancel reservation because we would not be able to make it to the hotel as planned. Contacted Choice Hotels customer service and they said that the manager would need to authorize the cancellation because I was past the cancellation window. It was 11 AM of the day we were to arrive. The manager would not take the time to speak with me. He left it to the front desk person to be the 'middle man', very unprofessional. In the manager's words, 'he had 10,000 other things to do besides deal with cancellation requests'. This is a small hotel, along I-10, just over the California-Arizona border, basically out in the desert. Ended up being charged for the room and the hotel will not provide the Choice Hotel points even though they charged me the full amount for the room. read more

Very nice and reasonably priced motel on the California - Arizona border, great place to stay if you are going to Quartzsite for the winter shows or if you don't want to continue on to Phoenix or LA, however be warned that there is not much to do in Blythe so it's only recommended if you are ready to get something to eat and go to bed. Room was clean, comfortable and quiet, comes with Wi-Fi bed was very comfortable, and breakfast in the morning. Breakfast selection was average but pretty much everyone should be able to find something to eat. eggs, breads, potatoes and sausage along with fresh waffles. I want to preface this by saying that I'm not normally someone who complains about accommodations, especially when I knowingly book a cheaper hotel to save money. I've stayed at this hotel several times, and it was a standard cheap hotel. Not nice, but I'm not paying for the Ritz. But I had generally gotten clean rooms. This week, though, the first room I was given had hair and visible dirt covering the shower floor and the refrigerator didn't work. I asked for a room change and they gave me another one. That one was a little cleaner but still had hair in the shower and, unfortunately, hair in the sheets as well. I didn't have time to switch rooms again, so I slept on a towel. The next morning, I tried to cancel the rest of my stay but was told that they couldn't do it since I had booked through a third party site. I called Choice Hotels, who told me that they couldn't do it and the hotel staff had to take care of it. I was transferred back to the front desk rep, who offered to switch me to a different room and personally check that it was clean. I appreciate the effort that guy put in, and I feel bad that he took on the responsibility to make sure the room was clean, since that's really not his problem. I got a call from the manager later saying they could cancel the reservation for me, and thankfully, they were able to, but goddamn. On a separate note, as a young woman traveling alone, when hotel employees say my room number out loud in front of other-particularly male-guests in the lobby, it adds safety concerns. read more

I stayed at the Quality Inn Blythe Ca from Friday the 3rd of January 2025 until Saturday the 11th of January. My negative experiences during that time include... Day manager questioning my actual need for the handicapped room I reserved 3 months earlier when I checked in. Half the outlets in the room had no power. Night manager burning incense at the front desk when I went to eat breakfast at 5am. Whole lobby reeked of it. Night manager watching something on her cell phone which was louder than the tv in the lobby that people were trying to watch. Breakfast 6 out of 7 days consisted of burned leathery scrambled eggs and uncooked to cold and soft to barely warm home fries. Had to request night manager to put out the cereal dispenser after he forgot to do it. No hot water for tea. Night manager took my cup to the bathroom sink behind the front desk and filled it with hot water from the faucet for me but never put out the hot water dispenser for anyone else. Woke up to a dog fight in the middle of the night in the adjacent room with people screaming trying to break it up. Bathroom floor on first day had clumps of someone elses hair on floor. No tread on very slippery shower floor. Shower head produced a stream of water like a hose with no pressure because there was no pressure. House keeping decided I didn't need one of my bath towels and removed it for no apparent reason one day. Final night there housekeeping never even bothered to replace my towels that I had left on the floor in a pile for them that morning. 6 nights into my stay the DTV I had been watching movies on every night suddenly stopped working and was replaced with a new remote and an abbreviated DTV with no movies and not much worth watching. If I didn't experience all of this first hand I would have not believed that any hotel could be this dysfunctional. I have stayed at quite a few hotels in my 72 years and a few glitches are inevitable and understood. I have never felt the need to complain or write a negative review about any of them until this one. I don't ask for much, a good nights sleep and something edible in the morning to start my day. I paid $120 a night to stay at this Quality Inn and got the service I would expect from Motel 6 or Super 8 motel at half the price I paid here. The lack of basic hospitality, caring and customer satisfaction by the night staff is glaringly evident at this hotel. Some people embrace their work and strive to do a good job no matter what the circumstance and some just show up to fill a space for 8 hours, do as little as possible and collect their pay at the end of the week. From a lifetime of dealing with help I know the difference and this Quality Inn has shown me nothing but the latter. Where is the professionalism? Where is the "Quality" in this Inn? Is this how Choice Hotels wants their brand represented? Absolutely the worst accommodations I have ever experienced by a reputable hotel chain. read more

They were on the used soap in my shower. The sheets were dirty. The floors are sticky. I'm gonna post some pictures. They should definitely close this place down the management is horrible. These people needs to be put out of business and when I ask what they gonna do about it. They said there's nothing that they can do. We were at an RV show yesterday and wanted to stay the night because it's an exhausting day. We had stayed at a Quality Inn before and it was pretty good. It's a medium level priced hotel but even then it seemed high for our in the middle of nowhere. Registration is in a really nice room that includes the free breakfast area with coffee and tea available all day. I tasted it and ugh, no. Though hubs tried it for breakfast and said it was ok. I admit I am spoiled as we bring a small Keurig and coffee. So we will make our own. The room was decent size and clean. I am a real nudge and check the beds (can't be too safe) and bathroom. The bath had some fixes to the tub-shower that were discolored and a dark handprint on the top of the shower curtain and upper tile that was a bit creepy but it was so high up, I wouldn't touch it. The floor, towels and sink area were very clean. There was a microwave, coffee pot and mini fridge. The fridge wasn't very cold but I wasn't interested enough to check how or if I could change it. Large tv had plenty of good channels and the bed & pillows were comfy. They offer a free breakfast with nice options. Hot options were waffles, scrambled eggs, biscuits & gravy and bacon. They also had cereal, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, toast, bagels as fruit. It was ok. Wouldn't go out of my way to eat here but since it is handy, we stopped for breakfast before going out for the day again. Overall, it was a good night sleep even as close to the freeway as it was. Curtains kept it dark too. For a basic night sleep, it was ok. It wouldn't be my first choice of hotels but it wasn't bad either. read more

Not really any nicer than the motel 6 right next door, so might as well save your money. Room was dirty and smelled really bad. Getting the wifi to work was always a hassle. Manager offered to help me get the WiFi setup on my phone. I went to the front desk and after a minute or so of him messing around with my phone I asked what he was doing. He told me he was closing my open tabs. No idea why he would need to do that to setup the wifi, or why he thought this was appropriate. I also mentioned that I would need to leave before breakfast was served and asked if there was any way I could just grab a couple bags of oatmeal or something that evening and he said no. We were driving from LA to Phoenix, and I got tired halfway so we decided to do a pit-stop to grab some food and catch some Zzzs. I lived out of a Quality Inn for a month a few years back, so I know the general layout and theme. This Quality Inn compares strongly with others in the brand, with the standard hot breakfast (tons of options from make-your-own-waffles to eggs and sausage - probably a great deal for families with kiddos) and cheap rates. My husband asked for a room with a king bed and a bathtub, and we ended up getting a nice set-up with a jacuzzi tub and an incredibly comfortable bed for about the same price as all the other standard hotel rooms in town. Nearby, there are several gas stations, a few divey diners, and fast food restaurants. Drive east several miles and you're at the Arizona/ California border. Blythe is the halfway point between Phoenix and Los Angeles, so it is a popular place to stop and rest. Each room at Quality Inn is equipped with the basics: (1) air conditioning which is a necessity in Blythe where temperatures reach triple digits during the summer (2) reasonably comfortable beds, hard pillows and old fashion bedding, but most important features are the clean comforter and linens (3) well-maintained shower (4) 32" LG brand LCD TV with DISH network - HD package, I would consider it to be the room's best feature since there is literally no entertainment available in Blythe, no movie theatre, no discotech, no gym, no shopping mall. We just stayed at quality in this weekend Friday and left this morning. We have stayed at just about all the hotels in Blythe. Quality in is the best one!!! Praying there prices stay the same.. they have remolded all the rooms. The pictures up on Yelp are not what the rooms look like now. They have put New flooring or carpet, updated furniture and paint, microwave and fridge, tvs are on the wall. . Breakfast and coffee in the morning. Waffles, eggs, bacon, muffins, toast, fruit yogurt, fresh juices just to name a few. Very impressive!! The cleaning lady was super sweet. I didn't need my room cleaned but she took all the trash out and gave me fresh towels. The best part was check in was a breeze'!! Took literally a few minutes. It seems we always have some sort of issue when checking into other hotels. Friendly staff that know what they are doing. We will definitely stay here in the future. We go to the river often have a small mobile home on the water but when my sis goes with her huge family it's easier for the hubby and I to stay somewhere else. read more

Well the staff was nice and the bed was comfortable but the rest of the hotel was less then appealing, it was more like a motel 6. She said, the housekeepers looked into the parking lot and did not see cars so they expected everyone had left. HELLO my suv and Uhaul was parked right there. And two other cars in the lot too!. You can enter my room when I check out!!! I was planning on sleeping another day but I felt uncomfortable!! I see a hotel across the street... Bugs, there were two bugs I found on my body as I was in the bed. Uuggghhhh. I feel gross. Don't swim in the pool either. It has bugs like crazy. Nothing like a bug in your mouth as you swim up for air. :( Maybe housekeeping is bored and should be cleaning the pool and disgusting hot tub while waiting for their guests to actually check out before going in the room. I must admit that I was a little nervous about my stay here because I'm somewhat particular about the hotels I stay in. Wow, my expectations were surely met! For under $100 out the door we spent 1 night in a clean modern room with a beautiful flat screen LCD TV, microwave and coffee maker. We also got a great indoor pool and spa to play in and a fantastic continental breakfast in the morning. On top of that, every staff member we encountered was very friendly and service oriented, from the breakfast hostess, to the front desk, and housekeeping. I have no complaints. I have to add that the neighborhood the hotel is in is not the greatest. It's located along the freeway right across the street from an onramp. There were plenty of shady looking characters running around, but I think a lot of that has to do with the community. The hot tub is broken, the door keys keep needing to be reprogramed, there are signs in the room that say "there are towels at the pool so don't bring room towels," but there are no towels at the pool, the water is FRIGIN GROSS. I wouldn't mind the tap water being gross--this is CA--but I was really dehydrated (since the tap water is gross) and got water out of the dispenser at breakfast. It's gross. Are we supposed to just buy bottles of water? Aren't those almost single-handedly killing the ocean? Great job. Everything else is fine, but this hotel isn't any better than the $30/night ones. Had a fantastic night here at the hotel from LA to PHX. Room was really clean, comfortable and the best part of the night was the amazing front desk person who greeted us so nicely at 11pm! The free food in the morning was hot and fresh. The only downside to the hotel was the indoor pool was heated to about 45 degrees. Thank god for the hot tub which ensured that the kids were able to go swimming. If you find yourself needing a place to stay enroute to or from PHX, this is a good choice. read more

Road trip from L.A to Phoenix and with a late start and tons of traffic, I decided to stop overnight. You never know what to expect from a roadside motel and I was prepared for the worst. While this isn't truly a 4* hotel I was SO pleasantly surprised that I had to round up from the 3.5 I was inclined to give it. To start, despite the late hour we were warmly greeted at the front desk. When is the last time you felt a front desk clerk was ACTUALLY glad to see you? (Wish I had thought to write down her name!) Lobby was nice, clean...but they always renovate the lobby. Our room was LOVELY. Plenty of space, beds were comfortable, flat screen TV, small fridge (which we need for meds), coffee maker, and a microwave. Get this...there are TWO extra outlets on the microwave! I'd say that for a roadside hotel this place is great, but in fact...it's just great! read more

Okay, it's not the Waldorf Astoria, but in the world of roadside motels, I rank this a 5. The room was big with a loveseat and the Internet was fast enough for me to watch movies and it didn't cut out as I've had done at other hotels. The room was super clean and though the rooms have an exterior hallway (where some of the more inconsiderate of humankind think it's okay to carry on loud conversations at midnight), I turned on the fan (white noise) and I slept the whole night through (which I don't often do). I had issue with my A/C-fan in the middle of the night and the staff was helpful and fixed it. As a woman traveling alone, I was a little leery about the truckers futzing with/in/around their trucks and the couple of guys who left their hotel room doors open (why do people do that?) and watched everyone's comings and goings, but in the end it was quiet and safe. Overall a very comfy place to get too tired to drive through to LA or Tucson for $100/night. read more

I spent two and a half weeks living out of my room at the Quality Inn in Blythe while on a work detail to the area. I was very pleased with the appliances in the room including the fridge and microwave and most importantly the AC! It was never less than 108 during the day when I was there but my room was always comfortable. They also have a good exercise room and a gas BBQ for cooking you own meals, which you will probably want to do a lot of as there is nowhere particularly good to eat in Blythe. The staff is very friendly and the breakfast was good, the vary it up slightly so its not always the exact same thing (bacon one day, sausage another, chorizo another). Their biscuits and gravy was great, I've had much worse at restraunts before. Overall if you can stay at hotel for two weeks straight and not have a single complaint I'd say thats pretty dang good. read more

What a horrible experience! "Cockroach Infestation" Road trip from California to Arizona and we decided last minute to find a hotel. We pulled in at 11:00 pm and found this hotel. The owner let me know that the rate was $99.00 + tax. When I told him no way and turned to leave he asked me what I was willing to pay. He was a really nice guy and the staff was wonderful. We woke up the next morning to be greeted by a cockroach on the nightstand. I freaked out and told my sister we needed to forget showering and get out of there. As soon as I turned to pack up my stuff another cockroach was climbing up the wall by the sink. It was a big one. I went to the front counter and showed them the picture of the cockroach I had taken on my phone. The owners response was that they had an infestation four days ago and sprayed. They had to close the entire first floor but decided to open it back up since they didn't see any cockroaches the last couple of days. ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME!!! A COCKROACH INFESTATION!!! and four days later you think it's okay to put people in the hotel room and charge a ridiculous price to stay there? Thank you for giving me nightmares that's sure to haunt me for years to come Quality Inn. As for the owner, when I let him know how disappointed I was and that I paid a lot of money to stay there his response was that he lived there and he didn't like cockroaches either.
