Mold along the wall of AC unit.
    Debbie A.

My mother and I stayed for one night while visiting Solvang. The room looked fine but once I turned off the AC unit the next morning I noticed all the mold growing on the exterior wall where the window is located. When we checked out, I mentioned to the lady at the front desk that they should never rent out room 503 because all the mold on the walls. I also showed her the picture and video. She quickly responded that she will have maintenance look at it. I wasn't happy that I was breathing in that toxic mold all night and I really hope they don't just rent the room again in that condition. I won't be staying here again.

The floors are not in synch, it has, 1 L for Lobby, then 5. There is no 5th floor, only 3 floors.

This is a horrible hotel. Everything here is old. The carpets are dirty, the decor needs to be replaced, due to it looking like the 1970's, curtains dirty and dusty, the bathroom is horrible. You have to close the door to the bathroom due to having to reach for the toilet paper, if you don't choose the door, you're hitting your knees. There is an old fashion air conditioning unit in the windows, it has a dusty smell in the hotel. They placed me in a room that feels like a basement. You look out the window and all you see is a receding wall and dirt. The bed sheets and comforters look dirty. They charged close to $700.00. For 2 days, not even worth $100.00 a night.

Quality Inn Buellton - Solvang 630 Ave of the Flags Buellton, CA 93427 (805) 688-0022 https://www.choicehotels.com/california/buellton/quality-inn-hotels/ca238/rates May 25th- May 27th. Solvang & Santa Barbara Memorial Day Weekend. *I picked Quality Inn Buellton for the affordable price per night for a Memorial Day weekend. It is less than 10 minutes from Solvang, Ostrich Land (Yes. I did say Ostrich Land. A must in Solvang), 30-to 45 minutes to Avila Beach, Pismo Beach, and Santa Barbara. Plus being member of the Choice Hotels- rewards and points. *We arrived there before the check in hour of 4pm. I made a note while making the reservation-may arrive early and it possible if room is available, we can check in upon arrival. It never hurts to note that when making the reservation, there is no guarantee that a room will be available. *The entrance to the hotel is very cute. Rocking chairs and a bench. I would have loved to take advantage of those rocking chairs with a cup of coffee. YES! Coffee available any time. Plenty of parking spaces and good size parking lot. *I am not sure how the floor is set up. We were on the 3rd floor, but it is on the main floor (Front Desk/Lobby). Our room was very nice (please note I took the pictures as we were ready to check out). Very thoroughly cleaned, no odor. No odor as well with the blankets and comforters. The room does face the main road and entrance to the freeway, you can hear the noise level if you open the window. I love our room. Two bedroom/queens. Not all rooms I think comes with microwave, so be sure to check when making the room reservation. *Breakfast is from 7am-10pm. It fueled us to start the morning until lunch time. Very small breakfast room and kind enough to tell me, OK to bring a plate or two in our room. Even though most hotels are OK with that, it was still nice to know verbally and confirmed by the Front Desk Staff. *Speaking of Front Desk Staff- very professional, courteous, service with a smile. I forgot the name of the Front Desk lady when we got there at around 2:30ish pm but she was awesome. Very friendly, answered my questions, she checked me in fast, had a room available for us even though it was not official check in time of 4pm. In the morning during the shift changes, all of them said Good Morning to everyone walking and passing by the Front Desk. *Overall GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! Thank you for a wonderful, Memorial Day weekend stay Quality Inn-Buellton. ** If you are craving for tacos, check out California Tacos. There is a brewery as well, but I am not beer drinker. Chinese Food, China Panda or is it Panda China-located at a small strip shopping area. Food is delicious. For Fast Food places, I saw Taco Bell, McDonalds, Starbucks, within like 5 minutes from the hotel.

This hotel is a gem especially when it is so close to the main town & almost half-priced to those in the town. Check-in was fast and the room was a lot better than we expected it to be for the price we paid. It is located in a quiet neighborhood & it just takes 10 mins to be in Solvang downtown from here. They do have good enough parking spaces to accommodate your car. The staff was nice and all basic amenities are included in the room. Breakfast has some good hot food variety too. Don't expect a 5-star experience but it is a lot better in 2-3 star criteria.

6/3/20 Stayed one night here, and was given the 5th floor, room 516. The room was clean, no bed bugs, and all necessary amenities were provided. I didn't like the fact that my paperwork was hidden under a couch cushion for me to get to my room, along with others. If I hadn't called to check on my reservation, how would I even have known to look under a cushion for my room key and paperwork? This could go a bad route if the key got into the hands of someone else. I get it that there's no 24 hour service for checking in, but leaving it outside for anyone to find, is not the way to go. It infuriates me that this hotel things it's ok to do things like this. Why not have a person on stand by, that lives close to deliver the keys if you don't want to extend your hours? This is not a safe way to do things. Other than that, I enjoyed my nights rest here.

Gross- please store with handles up

Surprisingly comfortable for a budget stay. I really like that they constantly have regular coffee, decaf and hot water in the lobby with oatmeal also available. The cookies in the afternoon are incredible, and the room was just fine. However, 2 things were icky - - This is a pet friendly hotel, and I got attacked by fleas there. - See photo for how they store their plastic ware there. You can't help but touch all over the bottoms of the forks and spoons when you pick one out. So unsanitary and not kind to this post-pandemic crowd. Please store them with the handles up or flat - thank you!

The property has a spacious lobby, plenty of outdoor seating with cozy fire pits, a nice swimming pool with a Jacuzzi, and a complimentary breakfast served daily from 6:00 to 10:00 a.m. One of our favorite features was the peaceful setting. Behind the hotel is a small hillside, which gives the property a quiet, secluded feel surrounded by nature. In the evenings, we loved relaxing by the fire pits, enjoying takeout dinner paired with some local wines. The pool area was well maintained, with plenty of fresh towels and ample lounge chairs. The complimentary breakfast had a good variety of options, including bread, omelets, pancakes, yogurt, cereal, muffins, oatmeal, and fresh coffee. They also offer a 24/7 coffee station in the lobby along with complimentary apples, which was a nice touch. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The bed was very cozy, and the hotel was quiet at night, making it easy to get a good night's sleep. There's also a great brewery nearby that's worth checking out for good food and drinks. If you're planning to visit Solvang and Santa Barbara, I would definitely recommend staying here.

The price was affordable and we had booked a few days prior. We were welcomed by the night time Innskeeper, Joan who warmly welcomed us. We were very touched by the warm hospitality and how helpful she was (shared her recommendations for food places and gave helpful tips and showed us a map of the area) She had us checked in less than 10 minutes and we were sent off to our room. The overall room was spacious, cozy, and clean. We had stayed on upper floor. The bed was cozy, there was cable, and the towels were fluffy. The tap water tasted good (they do a great job with the purification) and the shower pressure was perfect after a couple hours of straight driving. There are no elevators so please be mindful of that! They have complimentary coffee and danishes from a local danish bakery from solvang. There is orange and cranberry juice for those who dont want coffee or tea. This is from 7 am - 10 am. The area its self has golfing for kids, a heated swimming pool and the inn partners with multiple local shops and areas which offer you a discount if you show the little "passport card" they give you when you check in. Aside from that, housekeeping is splendid. Our first time experience went well and we are so excited to book again in the near future.

If you're someone who insists on staying right in the middle of all the action, this may not be the spot for you--but don't expect much quiet over there! The hotel has been newly renovated, and our room was adorable, clean, and very comfortable. The staff was incredibly accommodating and quick to respond to anything we needed. They truly made us feel welcome throughout our stay. The property itself isn't huge, but they did an excellent job making the most of the space. There's a cute full-service bar with indoor and outdoor seating, a café offering breakfast, pastries, coffee, and a surprisingly good selection of food throughout the day. The lobby also has a convenient grab-and-go market, and outside you'll find a cozy fire pit lounge with games and a relaxing water feature that makes for a great place to unwind in the evening. There isn't a pool, but honestly, that's not why you come to Solvang. If you're looking for outdoor adventures, you're just a short drive from Lake Cachuma and the beach. But let's be real--most people come here for the amazing food, wine, shopping, and the charming Danish village atmosphere, and this hotel puts you close to all of it. I'm actually surprised there aren't more reviews for this property because it was completely sold out during our stay, and now I understand why. Out of the several Hilton properties I stayed at during my trip this week, this one was easily my favorite. Great job to the entire team! You all set the standard for hospitality. They were friendly, diligent, and the cleanliness of the room was excellent. They were actually helpful in many other ways as they had to show us where the manager's room was located - as there were no signs. It was the room with McDonald's trash waiting to be carried out. Unfortunately, the rest of our experience was disappointing. When we arrived, the manager told us we had to wait for him to "clock back in from lunch" before he could help us. After the wait, he walked us to our room, and we were surprised by how incredibly small it was. There was barely enough space for two people to move around the bed, and one person had to step aside just so the other could get into the bathroom. There wasn't even a small table or desk, so I had nowhere to work or even sit comfortably to enjoy a cup of coffee. Booking was also frustrating. I called the hotel directly to ask about my employer discount, but the person who answered wasn't very helpful and told me I had to book through a specific website. We did, but nowhere on that site did it accurately convey just how tiny the room would be. Had we known, we would have stayed elsewhere, since I was there for work. The excellent housekeeping staff is the reason I'm giving more than one star. Management, communication, and transparency about the room size (including the pictures on their website) all need significant improvement.

Give guests a call-that's what cell phones are for. 4.) yes the towels are old & scratchy, but at least they appeared clean 5.) Having a working fridge, microwave & AC were good so those were positives. 6.) weird tv channel (too many porn & religious channel options & very few normal tv channels, but hey I got to watch Matrix movie)
