Great place for a great price! All the hotels around here in this price range had mixed reviews. Including this one. However, I noticed that this place responds to every review personally (not a standard response) and seemed to legitamentaly care about the customers! So that told me that things may not be as bad as some people want to make it! We stayed and we r glad we did!! From Tyler at check in, with his professional attitude, Leslie's great smiling personality, and Radha's pleasant and professional demeanor you cant beat a better service team! The room was clean, none of the things we saw that others complained about!! Bathroom was super clean! Great water pressure in shower! Decent clean towels! Refrigerate was large for a small one and freezer was bigger than others that size!! Bed was bug free, clean and comfortable!!Laundry facilities were clean, nice and large! Breakfast was small, not much to it. However, the waffles were good and there was lots of butter!! Mind you this is not the Ritz carlton!! So for what we paid, it was worth it! Stayed at this hotel few tines cause others in area are pretty nasty. Now this place isn't to great either, better than few I went to tho. So 3rd time I'm so tired I get in room n it smells pretty bad. Sprayed some lysol cause too tired to switch. Soillee some water on the floor, grab a towel to ckean it up. Well towel was black from floor being gross!! Woukdnt let my dog sleep on floor its so nasty. Hair in shower, place does NOT clean rooms. On top of that rooms were 200+ cause of gator nationals last week. No discounts at all!! Corporate shuts down all discounts on weekens w events!! Guess ill b finding new hotel read more

Just arrived. The room is really bad. It smells of stale smoke even though it's a non-smoking room. Very old, dirty looking, dated place. We got a better rate online-$94 vs $114 for a walk in-plus $25 pet charge for our small dog. Wouldn't stay here again. This is a $50 room (if that), not a $100 room. It would be no stars if I could post without it. It is a roof over our heads. read more

we checked in on Thursday and Maria was working the front desk. I normally dont remember names but her level of professionalism was outstanding. Maria answered every question I ask about the area eating joints and it was spot on. Maria has definitely found the perfect job cause she is very polite and has the personality for being a manager ! The rooms were just as she described them and just cozy and comfy for us . I hope Maria is there the next time we stay cause she is very uplifting. read more

The inn is not high end enough to rate a five but for the price this place was fantastic. Comfortable, clean and very very friendly staff.

This Quality Inn feels like it's been freshly renovated or updated. Everything smells freshly laundered - the pillows, the towels, it's great. They had a clean washroom with lots of towels provided. The high water pressure in the shower was really nice and appreciated. Sturdy rack for hanging drying clothes was also useful. The air conditioning does blow directly on the outside of the two double beds. Three pillows were provided for each double bed. Lots of lamps provided ample lighting. Most were operated by a switch on the bottom and also had a power plug. 4 plug power outlet provided at bedside table. The breakfast area with tables and booths in a sit-down restaurant style was a nice change of pace from before. Sausages sat in a pool of oil but otherwise the breakfast was good. There were some older reviews that referenced bugs or roaches? I didn't see any. read more

Ugh So to end our vacation we decided to take in a Gators baseball game (they won) we were stopping here on our way back from Orlando go Chicago- with a room rate of $150.00 I was expecting somewhere decent to swim in the pool- take a nice hot shower with CLEAN towels and get some rest... The room we were given had ZERO Quality to it. Cigarette burns on the comforter of the Non Smoking room that reeked of smoke- DISGUSTING bathroom not to mention the horribly ugly yellow tiles and peeling paint- 2 towels that is use to dry my car and hand towels with what appeared to be blood stains. I will say this- the employees were great- the girl working the front desk was truly a sweetheart- we were moved to a different room which quite frankly looked to be in a completely different hotel. I suggest taking some of the prophets from the overpriced rates and redoing some of the rooms that aren't worth $50.00. read more

This is one of the worst motels I've been in. I booked a room for me and my daughter for one night. This was a quick visit to a relative who was celebrating his 89th birthday. We had driven 5 hours and checked in to rest some before dinner. After dinner we came back to the motel to sleep around 8:30pm. The nightmare started at 10:30 when I received a phone call on my cell phone. The hotel receptionist asked if we were still coming because they needed the room!!! I told her that we were there, in the room, asleep! At around 11:30pm, we heard commotion outside and someone literally banging on our door. I tried to look outside but the peephole was painted over. I called the front desk and asked what was going on. The receptionist said I was in someone else's room and I had not paid. (During check in they took both my credit card and drivers license, before giving me the keys.) The receptionist kept insisting that I had not paid and she needed the room! Meanwhile someone "found" my information and she said "they put you in the wrong room!" The commotion outside continued, but we did not move. At 6 the next morning as we were packing I checked my credit card online and saw that the motel had charged for three nights. I spoke with the clerk and he assured me I would only be charged once. I asked to speak to a manager and was told he would not be there till Monday. When I finally spoke to him after several calls, he was rude saying he could have rented the room several times over. No apology, no redress. I will never goto this Quality Inn in Alachua Florida again. In summary: what I thought was going to be a good night's sleep before a long drive home turned out to be the night from hell: rude middle of the night calls, rude manager. The manager said he'd look into it and call me back. Have not heard from him. I had to call the credit card company to void two nights of charges! read more

This place is filthy. Bedbugs, uncleaned toilets and bathroom. The floors in the room were uncleaned. There didn't appear to be any supervision as there seemed to be a lot of loud voices, marijuana and groups hanging out on the top floor. I wouldn't stay here again. We made our reservations by 9a that morning, arrived at 4p and waited 40+ minutes for our room, then it was dirty. We were awoken at 430 by a slamming door. At 620a the office still wasn't open, so no coffee which probably wasn't safe to drink anyway. Felt sorry for the construction workers who were waiting for their morning java/breakfast before work. Find another place to stay. I don't mind mediocre but this was far worse than that. Its too bad that Choice Hotels has this hotel line in their vision as it sure gives them a black eye. This room wasn't worth 50$ and we paid much more than that. Be safe, go somewhere else! read more

Their is nothing quality about this inn. The marquee advertises that they have the "Cle nest rooms in town". the first day we were stuck cleaning our own room because only one worker showed up for work that day. The second day coffee was still in the pot that they never cleaned from the guest that stayed in the room previously. The did not replace the towels so we had to call front desk and was told it would be 2 hours till we got fresh ones. WTH!!!! What kind of hotel does not have enough towels to replace the dirty ones with when they clean the room? Unfortunately this was the hotel that was blocked off for the wedding we were here to attend. It was described as the best hotel in town. If that is the case I would recommend avoiding all hotels off of exit 399 on I-75! read more

This hotel was horrible. We drove in from New Orleans on our way to Orlando Friday night and decided to stop and get a few hours sleep. All seemed well until I woke up and looked over at my fiancee who was sleeping and saw two black bed bugs crawling on the pillow next to his face. It's been a few days and i thought we didnt have any bites or anything but i was wrong. They don't appear right away and now we have them all over.This is unacceptable and thank God I left my luggage in my vehicle. I have called the customer complaint line twice now and no one ever answers. read more

They were under a boil water notice and only had a piece of paper taped to the desk when we checked in. No bottled water offered for us to at least be able to brush our teeth and none available in any of their vending machines. At breakfast they had just used tap water for the coffee!! I realize this Inn has received some good and bad reviews but I must say on our recent stay there it was extremely clean and the employees were unbelievably pleasant. We travel with a cat so it's always a crapshoot when you ask for a pet friendly room. But in this case we were pleasantly surprised. Front desk lady is very nice, rooms are decent, the room we got was clean with clean towels. Super comfy pillows. The only thing is that with the exception of the bathroom area, there no ceiling light, just a bunch of lamps. They have good, free wifi and breakfast. read more

Got here and the lobby looked alright. First, we have a trailer hooked on and need space to park. So they tell us where we have to park and then put us in the very last room at the opposite side of the hotel. After climbing stairs and walking to the other end I get to my room, the air isn't turned on and the room has to be a hundred degrees. There are 4 teeny pillows on a king size bed and a huge black spider on the wall. So seeing as I didn't want to take a hot shower with the room being so hot I set off to find some cold bottles of water. After searching the whole hotel there are no bottles of water in any of the vending machines. I asked the ladies at the front desk they told me that none of the machines sell water and that id have to go across the street to McDonald's it's open til midnight. So thirsty and hot I set off to find something to drink for me and my diabetic husband. Come to find every machine is out of anything diet and there is only soda. Mmm that'll quench my thirst. Walking back to the room there are lots of shady men staring me down in the hallways, it reeks of marijuana. Get back to my room it is still hot, I proceed to go (hopefully) have a nice shower and the tub looks filthy. Now I've got the creepy crawleys. DO NOT stay at this hotel unless you are as desperate as I was tonight. Just hoping I do not get bed bugs from here... read more

Road side room was noisy do to road right outside window. Get a room on backside of hotel. Breakfast sausage was cold and eggs were less than desirable. Coffee was hot and fresh. Would not stay here again. Price was 80 for a night. read more

I travel every week for work. This was one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had in my entire life. The hotel staff was so incredibly rude. Safety must be a concern considering two locks on the doors including that swivel lock thing that is standard with hotels. Glad my husband was with me on this trip or I probably would have left and stayed somewhere else after seeing the rooms. RUDEST HOTEL STAFF I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH!!! we walked into the hotel and the beds were a twin size and the place just seemed very sketchy. then we walked into our hotel room there was a cricket in the middle of the room. once we went to sleep the sheets smelled like cigarettes and there was knocking from the rooms besides us and a lot of noise from the other rooms. in the morning welshmen we went to breakfast all the food was awful the orange juice tasted like water, the eggs were hard and didn't taste like actually eggs, and the waffles had no flavor. afterwards we came upstairs and my daughter laid in her bed then right away felt a big on her it was a cockroach crawling on her arm. we went out for the day and came back and had to ask for them to change the sheets which they change every 2-3 days and on the girls bed there was a blood stain on the comforter and they had to change it. the showers are very small and disgusting as well as it is very hard to breathe in there because it was such a small compacted room. read more

**WORST HOTEL EXPERIENCE EVER** in a stay that was supposed to total $500 for 2 NIGHTS. I ended up being charged $1400 TOTAL. Michael the "Manager" upon check in told me I pre authorize some reservations and not others PRIOR TO PHYSICAL CHECK IN. When I found the triple charges I advised and he assured me they would be off by midnight 100% it is now 3 BUSINESS DAYS after I checked out and nothing has been refunded or dropped. Even after speaking with Choice Guest Experiences and filing a complaint nothing has been done and I had to call the hotel personally only to be told "Michael isn't here" then after I told them what is going on he MAGICALLY "just walked back in" only to pick up the call and say my name then disconnect without calling me back. Now a "BARRY" supposed Owner of the hotel is going to "take care" of this and call me back. This is literally the worst management and Choice experience I have ever had. Do NOT go to this hotel if you can help it. Aside from all of that absurdity, the hotel rooms were dirty, without towels, and breakfast staff that literally harassed you as you are trying to get your "complimentary breakfast". It's not a place I would ever send my worst enemy. read more
