Given this ( name of the manager ) when I asked for a business card.
    Heidi W.

Lacking in customer service Robyn was on the verge of rude and indifferent when she refused our reservation because we told her we had a service dog with us. She never asked what the dog was for and said the manager was unreachable and kept saying we can't let you in the room with a pet. Luckily my husband was on it and immediately looked for another place since we weren't in the mood after driving all day to explain to this person what the law is. My concern was to get my points back since it was after check in time so I called Choice Hotels and they said they tried to contact hotel manager but we're unable to. They gave me my points back and apologized and said they would deal with situation later and unfortunately I needed to find another option for the night. We were lucky and found a awesome Airbnb but it was 45 mins in opposite direction back where we came from. The cabin was way better than a small hotel room so it all worked out but WARNING this hotel is not worth your time. I did notice after the fact they say they are not ADA compliant and only have a few rooms with accommodations since there are stairs etc but nothing about no service animals. I asked for a business card to contact the manager at a later date but was told they had none. I asked for a name and they wrote down a name no number etc. definitely no customer service here.

This place is dirty, old, and just overall gross feeling. There was so much hair in the never used shower and also black hair on the bed that was never slept in. Thank god we only had to stay here one night.

It says there is breakfast right here but they didn't have anything, not even water.

We are staying at this hotel and the front desk lady was SO rude to us. Her name is Jo L and she treated us like we were intruding her own house, instead of giving us the best service that a hotel person should give us. We were just asking her about breakfast because on their website says it and she was just snapping at us, by saying that it says on the website that there is not breakfast. UPDATE IT THEN!!!! Also don't be rude to your customers for asking a basic question. She was literally screaming at us. The worst experience, never again we are staying here. Even talking to the manager was pointless. Don't stay here.

I paid $160 for one week night at this hotel during the summer season. I have paid less for more in terms of facilities and amenities, but the price here doesn't reflect the hotel. It reflects its LOCATION, outside of Yosemite National Park. The staff was helpful and friendly when we checked in, the room was dated but clean. There was a functional flat screen TV with cable and a small coffee maker, but no microwave or fridge. Good water pressure in the shower, but we kept those short in respect of California's water shortage. It was a short walk (albeit with one steep block to navigate) down to the mini-downtown area with shops and restaurants. Be aware that if you spend a long day at Yosemite, your dining choices will be limited if you try to get something to eat after 10pm (there is always Burger King, alas). Decent but not great Wi-Fi is free (I am typing this review from the hotel), as is the breakfast. If you have moderate expectations, you can consider that $30 value bundled into the high price of the room. I don't know that I would stay here again as I would explore other options somewhat closer to the park (Oakhurst), but if this was my only option, I wouldn't complain.

Friendly service, clean room, nice pool and hot tub area by laundry. Relaxing and quiet with many restaurants and amenities nearby in old western styled downtown zone right outside Yosemite. Highly recommend!

Location: 5/5- it's a little over an hour from the Yosemite NP entrance. Service: 5/5- the staff was friendly. Bkfst was great. Very filling. Hotel: 2/5- Hotel doesn't have elevators. We were given the upper level room at the back of the building. So carrying my 20+lbs baby in his carrier and 6 luggages up the stairs was kind of inconvenient. Parking was small so your car might be kind of far from your room. Can't expect much from a hotel in a rural area.

The mattress was so bad that you sat on the bed the whole entire bed would bounce

We were booked in suite 5, which does NOT look anything like the room shown on the website. It is old, dark and dingy. Even the front door lock was loose (as mentioned by another reviewer). I had made the reservations for my friend and me, and when we walked into suite 5, we both just deflated at how junky it looked. I wanted to show my friend how it didn't look anything like the website, but their internet didn't work at all until the next morning. The outdoor area is not lit up and welcoming, but dark and deserted. We made the best of it for that night, and in the morning, I contacted the owner via text. When I said that the room looked nothing like the rooms shown on the website, the reply was, "All of our rooms are different." So why don't they show photos of all of their rooms??? They offered to move us to another room, and I requested one that looks like the one on the website. They instructed me to find the key for suite 1, and that room was great! Looked just like the website, and was exactly what we were expecting. It was weird that this room was not rented out, but yet they didn't put us in that room in the first place. I later learned that we were charged $199 for the first night junky room, and $109 for the second night room that looked like the one on the website. That was contrary to what I remembered from the price listing on the website when I made the reservation, which I believe was $159 per night. But when you receive your confirmation email, there are no prices listed at all. I know it comes out to the same price, but it's very strange that the price/total isn't listed on your confirmation email. I would have asked if I had noticed it before we arrived. I really wanted to like this inn, but next time, I'll just stay in the heated cabins in Yosemite Valley for $155/night. The one-hour drive to the valley from this place wasn't worth it for us. If you're going to stay here, ask them specifically what room you will be in and if it's one that looks like the ones on the website. If not, consider staying elsewhere. Positive: the cafe is super cute with great coffee and food and nice people!

I had my door propped open to cool off the room with the night air and a stray cat waltzed right in. It didn't stay long, but it was a cute and funny encounter. Is the cat part of the staff? If so, it deserves a raise!

And the other staff were just as fun and helpful. Downtown Mariposa is a wonderful old town and the hotel itself is a slice of early 20th century California history. Our group of four stayed in two rooms and each room was just right. Large rooms with comfortable beds, nice bathrooms, good lighting, and a great A/C. The real perk for us was the covered patio in back. Comfortable in the morning for enjoying the complimentary breakfast snack items and coffee, yes. But even better, we ordered take out food every evening and brought it up to the patio to enjoy al fresco dining and wine. To make sure we had a great dinner, Mary made sure we had cutlery, glasses and condiments to make our dinner even better. We can't recommend this place enough and we will definitely be back!
