This place was a dump! There was mold on the walls in our bathroom and the glass on the sliding glass window was foges up. The property was pretty but also very run down.

    Hole in the ceiling.

I stayed at this location last week for a work-related trip, and I honestly would not recommend. While the service was friendly, the room I stayed in was in major disrepair! There was a strong smell of cat piss in the room, the bathtub was dirty, and the ceiling where the bathtub was had a huge gaping hole the size of an avocado. Also, the fan in the bathroom, which turns on automatically when you turn on the light, sounds like a lawn mower! I don't know if they need to hire more housekeepers or better ones, but this was definitely not worth $200/night.

Dirty floor in our room and torn and frayed carpet in both rooms on our last visit. Smh doesn't sound like a 800 dollar stay to me.

We have been a patron of this hotel for years. It is where my husband and I considered "our place" only because we booked the honeymoon suite ( that has now been under renovation for at least three years) when we were first falling in love. The first stay we had to have the TV replaced ( so sexy) and that took a while. Second time, it was the heater... we have stayed there many times and I think there has only been one, maybe two times there has not been an issue with the room. We had always stayed up front. I booked a room for a week or 5 days alone to get away and paint. I have a small dog and I stayed in a no pet room so I did not bring her, however my husband came up and brought her to see me and we went OUT to spend the day shopping and he took her home. She spent no more than 15 minutes in the room. She is hypoallergenic and did not pee in the room. Someone tattled and they felt it was fair to charge us a huge fee for all of the days I stayed there without telling me. I saw the manager every day so this was a shock. We stayed there the weekend of the 4th of July for three nights and pid over 800.00. We were put in this part of the motel that scared the crap out of me. Right by our door there was exposed plumbing? Wrapped but torn and it was smelly and dirty and looked like a nest for all sorts of bugs and breeding ground for germs. We went out to the patio and found a yellow jacket crawling into the sprinkler system over our heads. We were moved to the far end of the hall. There, even though it had been 'checked, we had to request towels, toilet paper and other missing items. At night i could watch the the crack heads ( i am assuming her by their behavior and the in and out of cars and screaming or woman walking up and down the back of rite aide and...) So.... I will leave this long review with saying... we will not be staying there again. I do not trust them. The only redeeming thing about the place is Cathy, one of the managers... but I am not sure if it was her or someone else who felt it was appropriate to charge us a five day stay for a doggie visit that last ten to fifteen minutes... I meant to take pictures

My first impression of the hotel was not great. The lady checking people in at the lobby was nice but she was frantic, frazzled, and kept complaining to all of the guests that she was overworked. The check in pretty process took way longer than it should have because of her going on and on with her complaints. We stayed in a king room. It was decent but nothing special. The room was worn down and outdated but clean. It was a bit humid in the room, turning on the AC wall unit took care of that. The bed was comfortable, it felt medium firm. While the towels appeared to be washed, there were a few we couldn't use because they were pretty badly stained. They have a coffee maker in the room but the stirring straws aren't in any type of packaging, they were just sitting at the bottom of the basket. They have a small recycling bin in each room, which was cool since most places don't. The continental breakfast lacked options, it was just okay. The lady at the lobby when I checked out was nice and all I had to do was hand over the keys and I was on my way.

Overall, this place was fine for the price. There was plenty of room, the hot tub was hot, and it was conveniently located to Yosemite. The towels were pretty gross (see photo). I'd bring my own next time. The breakfast was decent: cereal, waffles, donuts, instant oatmeal... basically nothing fresh. Some fruit would have really been nice. Ultimately, the price was good for what it was but not expect too much from it.

We are staying here for two nights. It's about a one hour drive to Yosemite, without traffic. The room is clean and comfortable. Cute gift shop and plenty of parking. The room comes equipped with microwave, refrigerator, coffee machine and all the basics. Nice walk in shower. I love me a free breakfast! The breakfast includes bacon, sausages, eggs, variety of donuts, pancakes, waffles, toppings station, fresh fruit, 4 kinds of cereal, muffins, three kinds of juice and coffee (no decaf).

Miners Inn Motel...not too shabby! It was actually better than I thought it would be. I had a wedding to go to in Mariposa, so we were trying to book a hotel and amazingly enough everything was booked. So somehow we ended here at Miners Inn, however the pictures from the website doesn't look so great...I feared my stay at Miners Inn. But you know what?? Nothing to fear here at this little motel. It's not like that movie "Vacancy"...but still I didn't watch any videos that might be in the room. Luckily our room had a nice new flat screen TV and even though the furniture seemed old, the bathroom was recently remodeled and it was nice. It did have a funky smell when we entered, but nothing a little febreeze couldn't handle!! Always bring the febreeze, it comes in handy! But it was a bit pricey... $165 a night, but maybe they are able to raise the prices in the area because there isn't much to pick from and its the neareest city to Yosmite. It's seriously right next door!! The town is cute too...small little town where everyone knows everyone. Would I stay here again?? Perhaps if the Comfort Inn was full. It wouldn't be my first choice but I wouldn't complain if I had to stay here again.

We were booked in suite 5, which does NOT look anything like the room shown on the website. It is old, dark and dingy. Even the front door lock was loose (as mentioned by another reviewer). I had made the reservations for my friend and me, and when we walked into suite 5, we both just deflated at how junky it looked. I wanted to show my friend how it didn't look anything like the website, but their internet didn't work at all until the next morning. The outdoor area is not lit up and welcoming, but dark and deserted. We made the best of it for that night, and in the morning, I contacted the owner via text. When I said that the room looked nothing like the rooms shown on the website, the reply was, "All of our rooms are different." So why don't they show photos of all of their rooms??? They offered to move us to another room, and I requested one that looks like the one on the website. They instructed me to find the key for suite 1, and that room was great! Looked just like the website, and was exactly what we were expecting. It was weird that this room was not rented out, but yet they didn't put us in that room in the first place. I later learned that we were charged $199 for the first night junky room, and $109 for the second night room that looked like the one on the website. That was contrary to what I remembered from the price listing on the website when I made the reservation, which I believe was $159 per night. But when you receive your confirmation email, there are no prices listed at all. I know it comes out to the same price, but it's very strange that the price/total isn't listed on your confirmation email. I would have asked if I had noticed it before we arrived. I really wanted to like this inn, but next time, I'll just stay in the heated cabins in Yosemite Valley for $155/night. The one-hour drive to the valley from this place wasn't worth it for us. If you're going to stay here, ask them specifically what room you will be in and if it's one that looks like the ones on the website. If not, consider staying elsewhere. Positive: the cafe is super cute with great coffee and food and nice people!

I had my door propped open to cool off the room with the night air and a stray cat waltzed right in. It didn't stay long, but it was a cute and funny encounter. Is the cat part of the staff? And the other staff were just as fun and helpful. Downtown Mariposa is a wonderful old town and the hotel itself is a slice of early 20th century California history. Our group of four stayed in two rooms and each room was just right. Large rooms with comfortable beds, nice bathrooms, good lighting, and a great A/C. The real perk for us was the covered patio in back. Comfortable in the morning for enjoying the complimentary breakfast snack items and coffee, yes. But even better, we ordered take out food every evening and brought it up to the patio to enjoy al fresco dining and wine. To make sure we had a great dinner, Mary made sure we had cutlery, glasses and condiments to make our dinner even better. We can't recommend this place enough and we will definitely be back!
