The headrest was on the table, and as I was undressing the woman I thought was going to give me a massage left, and as I was lying there, a man came in to perform my massage. Muscles tight as a rock, he began to realize I needed a lot of work. Our brief exchange left us both trying to find the right words. He did a great job! He worked on areas of my body that no one has done, and I could not reveal that I had 31 surgeries, and what to be careful of. They offer a translator app that might be helpful if you want to communicate effectively. They had the bars on the ceiling, and I thought Alright, they are going to walk on me, " but my therapist did not. The price was reasonable for a 90-minute massage, which came in at $100 with a tip, $130 because he worked hard with hot stones and towels--going back again today at 9 am. If you want quiet, dark, relaxing, with real work getting done, then this is a great place without the fluff. Big spas don't always offer the best work, and certainly their prices! read more

The first thing I noticed when I entered the room was the ceiling contraption with rails and wrist straps. It looked to be something between Fifty Shades and a Pilates reformer. Not sure what that railing is attached to above the T-grid ceiling, but it held the weight of my masseuse just fine! She maneuvered up and over the table, all around me, using that ceiling system like a seasoned parkour athlete. She dug deep into the knots in my back, and hit on something that opened my sinuses and caused my nose to start running suddenly. Amazing. At some point she had me in a high school wrestling pose of sorts and then followed that by rolling some hot rocks on my back that felt perfectly heated by the desert sun. She pressed, rubbed and contorted me, sometimes a little painfully, but all the while asking, "is this ok?", "are you ok?". It's what I imagine first time consensual s*x should be like. The place wasn't fancy but the 1 hour full-body massage was only $70 and seeing as how you spend most of the session faced down or with a towel over your eyes, I'll take the value rate! I'm being generous given my last experience 2 years ago at another nearby Asian massage place. We started calling around for same day massages, and luckily this place attempted to be accommodating to us on short notice. It was noon and we wanted to get massages around 2-3p before heading back to our resort. We called Quality and, to make a long story short, they were able to accommodate a couples massage for 230p. Evidently, they shifted an appointment for us. Don't be alarmed if your GPS directs you to a secluded building, because you're in the right place. Go upstairs and you'll be greeted by the ladies who are ready to give you a massage. We were led to a room with 2 massage tables, and the ladies started with our Swedish massage. I prefer deep tissue or Thai, since the Swedish to me is really soft. However, if they ask you about pressure, make sure you request Swedish or else you'll get upsold! (We learned from our previous experiences with other places in the area.) What bothered me a little was that my massage was interrupted by a phone call. The person massaging me left the room and took the call, which resulted to less time for me getting a massage. Not even an "excuse me" or "do you mind if I take this call?" Therefore, I was jipped a couple minutes. BOO! They use hot stones for a portion of the massage, which was cool. (No extra charge) Overall, decent massage for the price, and not too far from our resort. read more

Absolutely love this place. I've come here about 4 times within these past months, and all I can say is that the masseuses know what they are doing. Upon arrival you are welcomed and instantly calmed by the dim lighting, plants on the patio, and tranquil music. They give great deep tissue massages (which I need) so much so that it's become a go-to little spot of mine. It's also a plus on communication, through each massage I have been given they always check in and ask if they need to go softer or harder which is such a plus. I just wanted to add to my previous review that Lisa , Jin and Annie, have become our favorites. Go for the hour and a half massage because they do an incredible job with the extra half hour. They spend more time on your feet, hands, and face. Although the couples massage is great, you have to try the separate rooms where they have the rods mounted on the ceiling so the girls can walk on your back. I lOVE when they stretch your back out this way. I can not stay awake when they use the hot stones to massage your back. The heat penetrates deep into your muscles. I also love when they scrub you down with the hot towels. I have been to almost every spa in the desert and although this place may not be as glamorous as the resort spas, it is definitely the best and most therapeutic massage you 'll find. read more

The only thing that was the slightest bit of uncomfortable was that it was kind of hot/stuffy in there because we were the first clients so they had to turn the AC on, but it cooled off & was overall a great experience! I have had many therapeutic massages in the past at various Californian resort areas such as Palm Springs, Desert Hot Springs, Lake Tahoe, Monterey, and Calistoga but the quality of their massages is no way as good. At Value Quality Massage, I have gotten awesome massages that were effective in unlocking my hand crippled with arthritis for over 2 years (I am 63 years old). I went into this place with extreme pain in my hand but left with no pain and I felt that I had a "new hand", what a miracle! And my friend whose 80 years old, went into this place with limping and pain in her leg but left with no pain in the leg and had a normal walk. My friend agreed with me that the young man who gave us a massage was a "miracle worker". Although I travel 2 hours to get a massage at this place, it is well worth it. It's much better than me going to a physical therapist or doctor. As I said, this business is a HIDDEN GEM in the desert. read more
