I received 2 massages from Angela at Tai Chi Reflexology. Both times the massage was excellent. I like it when all the muscle groups are treated. Some places don't massage quads and thigh muscles. She did a great job of draping so she could do quads and inner thighs. The pressure was very good and she asks if the pressure is too hard or too soft. I was looking for a massage late in the area and was referred to TaiChi. I received a professional massage by a masseur who was strong and effective for a reasonable price of $50. I gave only four stars because I enjoy more of a medium pressure & was never asked upfront or during any questions about the type of pressure I wanted. I have had food issues for a while. I wanted to get a good foot relaxing massage. Seemed very creepy. They did not explain what they were doing so you had no idea what was happening. You lay on a bed that opens at your but area and you put your feet in bucket that she comes in the fill with another bucket. No privacy only partition wall with curtains being held up with push pins. read more

Taichi Reflexology is a great place to get a massage. My wife and I have visited on two occasions. Both times were great experiences. The massages have been some of the best I have ever had. My wife agreed. My masseuse, Lisa, seemed very experienced. I had the hot rock massage, and it was awesome. I prefer a softer massage, so I don't feel like I got beat up the next day. Lisa applied just the right amount of pressure, and the pain was relieved. It was also easy to make an appointment, which I suggest you do. This is especially true if you are going with your significant other and want a massage at the same time. Regarding the location, Taichi is located in a large strip mall, and we did not have any issues with parking. Whenever we are in Palm Desert, we plan to visit Taichi again for a great massage. read more

I appreciate how quickly I can get an appointment here, often with one hour notice or less. I typically book with Steven of Serenity Float. When I need a massage with little notice, this is my favorite place to go. I generally struggle finding someone who is able to use enough pressure to make a lasting difference in my muscle tension (I would say I like an 8 out of 10 on the pressure scale). Twice now the massage therapist I've gotten for the deep tissue massage has done a fantastic job at providing the necessary pressure with very little or even no prompting needed from me. The massage therapist I've worked with doesn't seem to speak much English - this hasn't gotten in the way of my being able to communicate what I need. read more

Been coming here for about 10 years. Always a pleasant experience. No frills but truly efficient, high quality and affordable. I feel fussy if the AC is blasting or the room is too hot. I am from out-of-town; I called and made an appointment for 8:00 pm. I ordered the $50 (one hour foot/body massage); I wore leggings and a loose t shirt. It was exactly what I needed. Unfortunately I have to say, the massage I just had was one of the worst I've ever had in my life (I've had a lot...easily into the hundreds). The guy that did my massage spent less than a minute total on BOTH of my feet despite me paying $50 for a FULL BODY massage. Aside from that, he just didn't go in the right directions of the muscle and everything hurt and felt wrong as opposed to most massages I've had where people just know what they're doing. Then, he massaged my face with body lotion. The cherry on top of this horrible experience was when he went to massage my legs/glutes and he left both sides of my ass exposed (most places use the sheet to cover the side they aren't working on to keep the client comfortable/not like they're totally exposed). I was really hoping this place would at least meet my basic massage expectations but sadly (and for my poor sore feet) I won't be going back to this place EVER. They did give me a complimentary small bottle of water...that was nice. Probably the best part of the whole experience. read more

One piece of advice...They have no problem with Deep Tissue massage...However, that pressure is too much for me... So, if you like lighter pressure as well, just ask them for lighter pressure... First time coming here. Found the location via yelp and it wasn't at the top of search but still had great reviews. I been to another massage place and I wanted to try something different. And this place was great. I called and they took me in as a walk in. Let me say that price wise, it's very affordable and I got an hour full body massage. 50$ and I left a 10$ tip afterwards. Was greeted by a young man and was taken in immediately. So the experience. Well it was great but nothing special except that towards the end of the massage, I got the feet treatment haha. Inside the rooms, on the ceiling their are rails. The massagist will climb on top and walk over your body. Very interesting but it felt great. Some areas were a bit painful but I could handle. Even thou I came for a massage, I really enjoyed the face and ear lobe massage. Just felt good. I could tell the person working with me and giving a lot of attention to certain areas that bothered me. Definitely coming back again :) read more

Here's the thing: it's a reflexology place. You know it's not the spa at La Costa. The people are super nice and friendly, the place is clean and quiet. Very professional; no monkey business. As you can see by my other reviews, I have been to many of these places and I think I am pretty fair and objective in my reviews. I like this place. I would come back. About the massage...homie had hands of steel covered in velvet. Soft touch, great contact and connection...but when he found a knot...YIKES! That thing didn't stand a chance. Imagine being sore and relieved and relaxed all at the same time. Whether you are visiting or a local (like me), when you want to get your reflexology on, come on down. I picked this place in a whim because they were the only ones that were open late and answered the phone. I was pleasantly surprised. The only reason I'm giving this place four stars instead of five is because they pressure was too much. I told him to lessen on the pressure a couple times and he listened at first but then went back to the deep pressure, which is great on certain areas, but not on the boney places. Everything else was great. I walked out very relaxed! I will be coming back for sure, but make sure you tell them about the pressure, because they won't ask. Update: So I've tried multiple reflexology establishments in the valley and I keep coming back here. In my opinion, they have it! Repeat customer right here! I was very pleased with my massage. Normally I go to a different place but my favorite guy was on vacation so I took a chance. Lisa worked on me for the one hour full body massage ($50) and it was very good. What I liked is that she was not overly strong on the pressure nor was she too gentle. I really feel very relaxed and like my muscles are softened without the knots. The only part that felt strong and somewhat painful was when she did the bottoms of my feet. It really hurt when she did it but I did not say anything because I knew that they needed the workout. Now a half hour later, my feet feel soooo good. I called this place because of the reviews... When I got there I thought it was a very nice place. It all started out very pleasant but the man that did my massage was very rough . I have many massages in the past including many 1 hour reflexology massages. This by far was the worst.. I normally do not write reviews but I need to get this out. when it came to pulling on your fingers and toes he pulled so hard that I heard my small toe crack and felt like it dislocated with severe pain. I stopped him and told him that ,"That Hurt!!" He didn't seem to care. He continued and I allowed him to finish. At the end I mentioned it to the lady at the front and her answer was "I hope it gets better by tomorrow"... Okay, the next day my toe was swollen and bruised but decided to wait and hopefully it will resolve itself. I finally had to take time off work and see the doctor. The doctor checked and I showed her a pic of how my toe looked the next day. she said he really bruised my toe and put me in boot and said to stay off my feet to prevent anymore swelling. I have not been able to put on my tennis shoes on for 12 days. today is the first day and hoping for the best. I called to speak to someone and nobody there speaks enough English to have a conversation. Was told to call back ...I WILL BE back. I things happen but at least acknowledge that there is problem to your customer. It's only good business read more

I absolutely loved my massage here. Maybe one of the best I've had! I do prefer quite firm massages, especially when there is a lot of stuff to be worked out and she definitely dug into the stiffness. It was my first time and she didn't say whether I should take my clothes off, I wasn't sure if it was a clothes off kinda place (other reflexology places I've been to aren't) but since it was a private room I went for it and hoped It wasn't going to be weird. She also didn't ask about any specific points to work on, but she definitely found them. And didn't ask about level of firmness, but I didn't complain about the firm pressure so maybe they just go by body language or if you speak up. I rather liked the silence so I just rolled with it. It was a great massage though, I'll definitely be back! I'd recommend it for people who want something muscular fixed or released, probably not to people looking for a soft relaxing rub down. read more
