I explained that I had a lot of tension in my neck and shoulders and was hoping for focused deep tissue work. The massage I received did not feel like deep tissue. Most of it was done with elbow and forearm pressure rather than the kind of targeted deep tissue work I was expecting. There was also hot stone used, which was relaxing, but it was not what I had booked or what I needed that day. My massage therapist seemed to have some difficulty understanding me, so it is possible there was a communication issue. Either way, I left disappointed. The pricing was reasonable at $90 for 90 minutes, and I still tipped both therapists $20 each, but based on my experience, I would not return or recommend it for someone looking for a true deep tissue massage.

She focused on the right side of my back a little, but mainly my legs and feet, after the general first phase of the massage. The oil she uses also moisturizes your skin for days and you can get a salt scrub enhancer--which softens skin, dramatically, in the area you choose to use it on.
