Great shop, honest and upfront pricing. I've been going here for my auto repair and maintenance for 23 years.

They are honest and direct about the repairs they do, always explaining options or necessities, prices, etc. Their pricing is solid too. But the BIG point I want to make here is about the character behind the business. I had some rather extensive repairs done on my car last year. Shortly after which I had to travel to Massachusetts for medical reasons, needing to stay in Massachusetts for surgery and a fairly long PT rehab. During this time I had difficulty with my car. I was told my car needed the same repair John's shop had done on my car...big $$$. I knew it couldn't be true but had no idea what to do. I reached out to John HAUSER'S and John went ABOVE AND BEYOND, helping me trouble shoot, find a reputable garage, and HE called to apprise the garage owner about the case. I have no words!!! I have such respect and gratitude for John's kind, professional, honest, straightforward help!!!! This took time and effort away from his busy day with quite a few different interactions; not only calls with me but researching garages in the area I was in in Massachusetts, but also actually calling and talking with the owner of the garage I ended up taking my car for the service needed. The net result of the repair saved me HUNDREDS of dollars (over a thousand) and a car that's safe to drive back to Pennsylvania in a few weeks! I would give John and John HAUSER'S garage a HUNDRED Yelp stars if I could!!! It is rare that businesses now days treat customers respectfully....but John and his Company not only treated me with respect, but with honesty, kindness, and effort that will stick in my mind forever, inspiring me to "pass it forward"! Thank you, John!!!

I am leaving this review because I am extremely disappointed with this establishment…read more I brought my vehicle in due to issues with the air conditioning. After a diagnosis, they completed a repair they believed would fix the problem. I was told my car would be left outside after hours, unlocked, with the key placed under the mat for pickup. However, when I arrived, the key was clearly visible inside the cup holder. Anyone could have taken my vehicle, which was very concerning. After driving home, I quickly realized the air conditioning was still not working properly. When I contacted the shop, I was told I could bring it back for another assessment. I asked whether I would be responsible for additional repair costs and was informed that while the diagnosis would be free, I would have to pay for any repairs. This was upsetting, as I had already paid for a repair that did not fix the issue. The owner, I believe her name is Patrice, explained that their process is to start with the least expensive fix and move on to more costly repairs if the issue continues. I find this approach unacceptable. If the root cause of the problem is unknown, that should be clearly communicated rather than charging customers for unsuccessful repairs. Despite my concerns, I gave them another opportunity to diagnose the issue. I was then told the repair would cost $680. I explained that I could not afford another failed repair after already spending a significant amount of money with them. They suggested financing through Koalafi. I specifically asked if they could assure me this repair would resolve the issue, as I could not afford to finance something that might not work. I was told via text message, which I still have, "The replacement of the AC condenser should certainly be the immediate fix to this AC issue you are currently experiencing." Based on that assurance, I proceeded with the financing and repair. Unfortunately, after picking up my car, the exact same issue occurred--the AC still did not work. I had explained to them how critical this repair was, as I have a child with seizures that can be triggered by heat. I was devastated and cried the entire drive home. As a single mother caring for a child with special needs, this experience was incredibly distressing. When I contacted them on the next business day, they allowed another diagnosis and performed what they described as a "small fix" at no charge. Once again, it did not resolve the problem. At that point, I was completely done. I sent a message expressing my dissatisfaction, and their only response was to offer another free diagnosis--no offer to repair the issue at no cost or take responsibility for the repeated failures. I do not believe they made a genuine effort to make this right. I do not recommend this establishment unless you are prepared to waste money. I recently finished paying the $680 through Koalafi (all of my payments were on time as they were direct debit), only to discover that I still owe $749 because it was not paid off within 90 days ( I guess I did not read the fine print). My advice: run far away from this business unless you have disposable income and are willing to pay for repeated, unsuccessful repairs.

GAC is the best mechanic to visit in the Upper Darby and Philadelphia area!…read more I love coming here because they have a VID (Very important driver) program where you pay monthly and can partake in multiple vehicle care products such as oil changes, inspections, and alignments versus paying for it all at once which helps save on the value of car maintenance. It also includes tire care if you run over a nail or need a patch. The she-chanics at GAC are also very kind and caring, explaining how each step of the process works in a way that is not intimidating or 'man-splaining' which I have experienced across my lifetime at other mechanics. There is a salon where you can get your nails done while you wait, sitting areas with WiFi, and a general comfortable feel to the space when you need to stay and wait for your vehicle to be done. I trust GAC as my Primary Care Technician location to take my car and know they will help me keep her for the long haul.
