I spoke to Brian yesterday regarding a heavy leak on my pool pump. I texted him some pictures of the leak. I was expecting him to say I needed a new pump, which would be very costly for me. Instead, Brian gave me an alternative option of replacing the cracked portion of my pump casing, which was causing the leak, instead of paying for an entire new pump. This would save me several thousand dollars. Brian said he would call around to find out if he could find the part and contact me the next day. This morning, Brian texted me that he found the part that was needed for the repair. A huge cost savings for me. Brian came by the same day I reached out to him. He was able to diagnose that our pool heater had issues, and created a pipe loop so that we could use our pool without a heater temporarily. We will decide if we want to set up a new heater in the future but it's great that we can still use it in the meantime. I used Brian a few years ago to install a new pump. His work was excellent and I thought the price he charged was very reasonable. This past couple of weeks I have had an issue with my pool that I couldn't figure out until today when l Discovered I have a broken underground return line. I text Brian and asked for some quick advice. Even though he was out of town, he responded back and walked me through what I needed to do in order to temporarily take care of my issue. After that I text him with a video of what I found. He text me back and gave me the phone number of someone who could do the permanent repair. Brian is awesome. After prior frustrating experiences with other pool companies, I found Quality Pool on Yelp and called Brian. He called back in an hour and figured out the issue with a quick explanation and FaceTime (looking at what's happening with all the valves). Just from the initial call, I felt like our spa was in good hands. He immediately provided me an estimate, got the part and came out the next day to fix it. Within 20 mins, a new valve was installed, he figured out the issue with the jets and fixed that as well. That evening, we turned on the spa and it started draining after 20 minutes. I texted Brian... he asked for pictures and told me everything seems fine but will be out the following morning to take a look. And of course, he came as promptly as before and turned on the spa... everything looked just fine so told me to keep it on and call him if it happens again. Of course, it happened again and sent him a video. He came over soon after and figured out the issue in 2 mins! He is super detail oriented so what he found, I'm not sure others would have! I would give 10 stars if I could because Quality Pool Service & Repair is awesome! My pool pump has been out for a while and it was urgent for me to get another pump up and running. Brian said I was out of his service area but he still wanted to troubleshoot with me to see if he could help. Because it had been so long since my pump was running, I opted to just get a new one and upgrade to a variable-speed pump. Brian was patient with explaining what my options were in terms of the different pumps available. He knew I really needed help and was able to get one of his installers, Daniel, out within a few days to help me replace my pump. Daniel's work was superb. The work was clean and looks great. Brian came and saved the day after my regular pool service failed yet again and let the pool go a nice shade of green. Was interested in their weekly service, but much like other good companies their customer list is full and so is their wait list. However, that didn't stop Brian from troubleshooting issues I was having with my spa heater and pool. He was on the phone with me for about 15 minutes walking me through things step by step. My swimming pool pump has gone through its life cycle and needs to be replaced. I called my swimming pool service company twice for a quote. They never got back to me. Reached out to Brian based on the five star review here. He responded quickly and gave me a reasonable quote with pictures sent through text. Once I confirmed, he scheduled to get the pump quickly and installed it over the weekend. He told me that his schedule is backed up for three weeks but he gives priority to people without a running pump to avoid the swimming pool growing algae. I am very satisfied with how quickly he responded and installed the pump on weekend. He is very nice and patient with my requests and questions. He also checked everything thoroughly and fixed a leaking pipe, all at very reasonable price. Highly recommend Brian to anyone who has swimming pool issues. I texted Brian Thursday and he showed up on Friday. He is very responsive (great with text), shows up on-time, courteous and great troubleshooting skills. Another company wanted $800 to replace the board on my Pentair EasyTouch, Brian figured out where the short was and solved my issue in an hour for $87. He also re-calibrated my EasyTouch and fixed everything the previous installer did wrong. I will definitely hire him again for anything related to my EasyTouch / Screenlogic system. Brian is one of the most genuine people I have ever met as a contractor. Let me say a five star does not enough justice. Let me say what was my problem and what he did. I have a water feature in my nice house in San Ramon and needed to see why it was not working. I thought it needed a pump and I had allocated money for a new pump to fix it since my pump is 15 years old. He was amazing. First, he tried to understand the problem and see if we had a piping issue and not a pump issue. That was a blessing from the start, but it was his guess and was correct. So, in short he fixed it for a fraction of the cost. This was not the good part. I this market that everyone is busy and has no time, he made time for my emergency. God bless his soul. I have a pentair pool pump and it's tuff for me to figure out the many programs it provides.What this leads to is anxiety when something is wrong with the system.This morning I went out to the pump and it had on a alarm that had stopped the system.I tried to reset and the pump but it heated up the water inside the skimmer.Well there must be something terribly wrong with the entire system.When something is broken around here it normally costs a fortune to fix .I called Brian and told him the symptoms.He told me to add water to the pool. Brian has completed a couple different repairs on my pool and spa. I will continue to utilize his services in future. In June he diagnosed and repaired the jets in the spa by removing clogged debris. It's been working perfectly ever since. He just also fixed and replaced our pool light and wiring with a low voltage LED unit. I'm very pleased with his work. Yes, another 5 star review. It's a great thing to find someone in the service industry who is honest and reliable. I had a problem with a leaking valve in my pool. So I called Brian and he explained he could come out and fix it, or I could just get the part for a few bucks and do it myself. He explained how it went together and what part to replace. Armed with the knowledge, I took the valve apart and found additional damage. At that point, I called him back. To make a long story short, Brian gave me some options and prices and by the end of the day, he had my pump running again without any leaks at a very reasonable price. Excellent work Brian. I was having a months-long nightmare with my pool, and it is now running 100% correctly thanks to Brian! I cannot recommend him more highly. Literally for about 3 months, my solar was making this horrid sucking/gurgling noise that could be heard in the house under the panels and pipes. The solar company said it was an issue with my equipment. My pool guy said I needed expensive replacement of the filter and pump. When I told Brian I was going to give him the best Yelp review ever he said, "you know I sorta wish I'd get a one-star review just so people would know the site's legit." But I can't help you there, Brian. WHO calls back on a Sunday morning at 8 a.m. to help a desperate woman who has spent 2 days trying everything to get the lid off her pump's strainer basket? I mean...I crowdsourced the solution on the internet and men all over the country had been dealing with the same problem and none of their ideas worked. I was ready to bash the thing with a sledgehammer but thought I'd call in a pro just in case the lid could be salvaged. Brian is about 6'4" and has the strength of 10 and it was a challenge even for him but he persevered and set me free... AND THEN... he refused to accept any payment! It wasn't like I was a regular customer. I had just found him on Yelp and called in desperation (I maintain my own pool normally). Luckily this man does everything from pool service to equipment replacement so now I know who I'm gonna call when my pump finally gives out and I need a new filter. Called on a Sunday and left a message because our pool pump was not working properly and thought it may need to be replaced. Brian phoned me back within 15 minutes and helped me troubleshoot the problem over the phone. Long story short, we were having some work done on the patio around the pool and some paper material was stuck in the filter thus not allowing the pump to work properly.
