Reached out to USAA and was quoted 31-50min time delay. The tech showed up reasonable faster than the time predicted. Abbas was professional, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. He jumped the battery, but also checked the charge of it, determined I needed a new one, (showed the level it was at) and was able to assist in putting in the new one. IF YOU WANT TO BE DISABLED ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND IN DANGERS WAY WITH DELAYED HELP.... This is the perfect towing company for you! The only reason why I had to use this company is because it's contracted with Progressive Insurance (in SD county). You'd think paying high amounts of money to Progressive they would contract a better tow company for roadside assistance. Sadly, I have had to use my roadside assistance with insurance more than I'd like. 1ST TIME, my battery died (in my garage). Although after getting it jumped, my car ran just fine but out of safety went with a replacement. I own a BMW and I like to keep it BMW battery but alternates as fine to use. The service guy claimed these "alternative" batteries last longer than BMW batteries (that's not true, this one lasted for quite a long time as it's the original battery). He is the professional but why did he almost install the battery backwards - he could have damaged my car. Luckily he saw it was backwards immediately after putting it in. Nice guy, got the job done. 2ND TIME, my BMW stalled on the freeway (at night). I was scared for my life, cars flying right by at 90mph. BMWs are known to have fuel pumps go out. I guess my car model was one of those statistics. Luckily when my car stalled I was able to get to the right side (but barely) as failed fuel pumps shut everything down immediately. I waited around 40m on the fkn freeway for them to show up. SO DANGEROUS. Also, the location where I was at the tow guy didn't think strategically and at first couldn't get to me and almost got in an accident with 2 cars cutting lanes to get to me. Dude, be smart turn around in and exit and come back to me - don't cut that many lanes at night. When he towed me he said my car starts and drives. Well yes, I know that. When a fuel pump fails it will turn off and disable everything. Within 30m after the fuel pump cools off it can start again but a matter of time it will happen. Best to get towed and fix. 4 months later... after BMW dealership claims to have repaired the fuel pump (this should not be happening ever again), i stalled in the middle of Hillcrest. Roadside said they will be there in 60 minutes!!! Are you kidding me. I'm to sit stuck in traffic disabled for 60m? Luckily people pushed me to safety into a parking spot. I kept getting notifications of time count down but they never came. I called and time just get getting pushed out another 20m. By then, my car was able to start and I got myself home and cancelled the service - at that point "waiting 1h and 10m" still. 1. Owning a BMW can (sometimes) be a headache. 2. Full coverage with roadside assistance thru Progressive at extremely high rates in SD, is not worth it 3. I signed up for Triple A's roadside assistance because they have quicker and faster service. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. My vehicle broke down and unfortunately this tow company is on my insurance' rotation. I understand that delays happen and that tow companies can get busy. Had they simply been honest about the wait time, I would have been understanding. Instead, I was repeatedly told that the driver would arrive in "15-20 minutes." This continued for over 2.5 hours. The issue wasn't the delay itself, it was the constant inaccurate ETAs and lack of transparency. I called for an update, I was given the same promise, only to continue waiting. Had I been told from the beginning that the wait would be several hours, I could have made other arrangements instead of wasting my time sitting with my car broken down. read more

Driver 4 Stars, Company 3 stars. I would've gave more stars, company was easy to schedule a pick up appointment however we set a designated pick up window 7-8am. I had to call dispatch for an ETA after it passed 810am. I was not picked up till 9am. Driver said he got the call at 8am. Hmmm. He was a friendly driver, I asked if I could get some discount for late arrival, considering he would ask dispatch, but when it was time to pay, my card was charged right away, car unloaded and the driver was gone. I wasn't able to thank him. Dispatch didn't apologize while charging my card and charged me full price. Kinda a bummer. read more

My 2001 Corvette developed an electrical problem which prevented it from starting. I needed a tow. My insurance company hooked me up with Quality Towing and Recovery...twice. The first tow was from my house to my place of employment. I wanted to give the technicians at my work a shot at diagnosing it before taking it to a shop, just in case it was something simple (it wasn't). Properly diagnosed, I had to tow it again, this time to a specialist (Auto Air Marine Electric in El Cajon). The first tow I scheduled ahead of time for a 6:00 AM pick up. My confirmation stated that my window was btwn 5:00 and 7:00 AM. I received a text at 5:44 AM alerting me that the driver was 30 minutes away. After 40 minutes I called. They apologized for the delay. My driver arrived at 6:40. I woke up extra early for nothing. That was the only hiccup though. The driver was super nice and very efficient. He had my car on deck and tied down in no time. I met him at my work and he was equally quick and dropping it off. The second tow was even more efficient. I scheduled a tow and a driver arrived at my work within 20 minutes. Just like the first guy, he had it on the flatbed and was on his way in a matter of minutes. About 10 minutes later the shop called and said that my car had arrived safely. Very happy with the service from Quality Tow and Recovery. read more

This towing company is awful. First they tell you they will arrive at a particular time. Then they tell you it will be 15 to 30 minutes after that initial time. 30 minutes then passes and you call and they tell you 40 minutes. You call again 40 minutes later and they said they took another emergency job and will be here in 40 minutes. We ended up canceling the service and getting a different towing company. We noticed on these reviews that many people are strong along... Don't trust their ETA at all! read more
