There has been a new owner for a little over a year now. Old reviews shouldn't apply. Professional shop with a hard working crew.

Been looking around and getting quotes from many places. Quality was $700 more than my lowest quote with better reviews.

I would not recommend AAMCO based on my experience. I spent nearly $7,000 on repairs for my 2015…read moreBuick Encore, including an engine replacement, yet I continued to experience repeated problems. My vehicle was unreliable, and I couldn't even drive it short distances without additional issues. After AAMCO's repairs, a Buick dealership found multiple coolant leaks that required additional repairs. I was also informed that the temperature gauge/temperature sensor previously installed on my vehicle was an outdated component and it had to be replaced. I was promised reimbursement for towing expenses, but that promise was never fulfilled. Communication was another major issue. Calls were not returned promptly, and I often had to go to the shop in person just to get updates or answers. In my experience, every time AAMCO worked on my vehicle, another issue seemed to arise shortly afterward. I also experienced problems with the engine replacement and thermostat that resulted in additional time, stress, and expense. Ricardo and Ken were courteous at times, but I was disappointed by the lack of communication and the overall handling of my repairs. If you choose this shop, keep every receipt, document every conversation, and don't rely on verbal promises. Based on my experience, you'll likely get faster responses by going to the shop in person rather than waiting for a return call.

I had mixed emotions about this place at first but I came to realize it was because the person who…read morewas there and willing to help me was from another city and just happened to be in town helping his GM. My mom's vehicle overheated and it happened a few feet from AAMCO. It was a Sunday so they weren't open but someone was there so it all seemed like devine intervention. The guy who was willing to bend over backwards to help me was named MOSES and he was from Holland. He assured me that it would be taken care of and they would be fair. He located the issue and said it just needed a hose replaced for the coolant overflow tank. Simple procedure but he left. I got the quote afterwards and they said $411 to replace the hose. Which is CRAZY. I called around and EVERY other place said they would charge around $100-$150 to replace it I just had to buy the part. Unfortunately my parents are old school and wanted to just have it done where it was as opposed to going the cheaper route. They finished the job in less than an hour and were ready for me to come pick it up. When I got there I was told that I would need to jumpstart it because the battery was no good and needed to be replaced. Only thing was there was ABSOLUTELY NOTHING wrong with the battery before it was left at this company. I was told it would need a jump every time I start it because the battery was just no good. So now the vehicle needs something else done that wasn't even an issue before they got the truck. They thought we would just have them fix that also but since I KNEW they had sabotaged the battery I took it elsewhere. They take advantage of a person when you're down and out and in need of a helping hand. They have no problem overcharging and will destroy something in your vehicle to provide more work for themselves, which shows absence of morals. Moses was AWESOME, but he doesn't work there, he is from Holland. Would not recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a FAIR deal!!

When I was told, I about cried because I knew a dealer would charge me hundreds of dollars I didn't have. But the owner said he would try and fix it. He ordered a special tool, and he got the old one out in a minute flat!!! He saved me at least 300$. He took time he didn't have to, made calls he didn't have to, and did way above the normal he was required. Such a kind man. I would recommend this business to everyone

They say a fool and his money are soon parted. Not at Muffler Man…read more I've been to this Muffler Man location a few times with two vehicles over the last half-decade or so. I need an auto shop I can trust because I'm not enough of a gear-head to answer my own questions. Twice recently I've walked in talking like any crooked mechanic's ideal chump customer: no idea what's wrong, but ready to pay to fix it. Example 1: A year ago I brought my trusty old rust-bucket of a car in for a noisy exhaust. Nobody would've blamed them for simply doing the work I asked, but they did even better. They started with an inspection of the vehicle, and found a number of issues more serious than a mere noise problem. After checking with me, they started tallying up an estimate. Their official diagnosis: they *could* do a couple thousand dollars of repairs for me, but said I'd be wiser to save that money and put it toward buying a new car. Charge: $0. Example 2: Monday I hit a whopper of a pot-hole in my aforementioned new car. It blew out my tire, and bottomed-out my vehicle enough to dent the bumper. After getting the tire fixed the car felt fine, but I brought it to Muffler Man for an inspection, just to be sure the impact didn't cause any trouble. Their official diagnosis: no problems, nothing to fix. Charge: $0. I genuinely believe the folks who operate and run this shop would rather have a reputation for honesty than to have ill-gotten money. That's better than value -- that's values. That's why Muffler Man is my mechanic.
