I've been seeing Dr Menghani for a few years now. He removed both of my cataracts. What I really value is that he actually cares for the wellbeing of his patients. One example: After my first cataract surgery (laser), I was dreading the second. It wasn't painful but the laser was so bright that I was stressed, even though it's a relatively quick procedure. When I shared my concern with Dr M, he helped me come up with a strategy involving the anesthesiologist to help me relax before the actual surgery. The second one went so smoothly and stress free. Took my mom to her eye appointment today and we arrived 30 minutes late due to an unexpected car issue blocking us from leaving on time. We still drove all the way there hoping they could work with us since we've been patients there multiple times before. It would help if patients were clearly informed ahead of time that after a certain amount of lateness, they should reschedule instead of driving there unnecessarily. A little more understanding and communication would go a long way, especially when bringing elderly family members to appointments. read more

Very disappointed. I called on the suggestion of my PCP. They insisted on payment up front even though I have excellent employer health insurance. Unfortunately, they were unfamiliar with it, and instead of contacting my insurance to verify, like every other doctor, they refused to see me without payment. I contacted my insurance, and they informed me that doctors could not do this and are contractually obligated NOT to require payment upfront for insured patients. I use Gravie insurance, and it's the best coverage I have ever had. Dr Ravi is an Excellent Provider. The Office is polite & knowledgeable of their craft. However, I never gone in & found Any of the staff to be of an Afro-Centric background. This is bothersome because we all need to be represented if you care fir all Races, then All Races should be considered fir hire. Notwithstanding a language barrier may be an obstacle, however, in Today's market there are many means to accommodate that issue. What a fabulous group of professionals! We called last minute with an urgent eye problem and they squeezed us in - and I do mean squeezed. I've never seen a busier medical office. If you can get an appointment, you'll still ave a substantial wait before they get you in for the exam. They're super busy. Although the staff is professional and amiable, Dr. Menghani is the true star of the show. He's intelligent, funny, interactive. When visiting the office, you feel so at home you almost expect them to hand you a beer and the remote control. Dr. Menghani also knows his stuff. He explains things clearly and uses every means possible to show you whats happening with your eyes. I'd highly recommend this group to anyone, but make sure you build in wait time. Dr. Menghani is great! He is informative and encourages you to research the products he offers. He has many different kinds of patients with a variety of needs and he tailors his work to each one. I had my left cataract removed June 25 and the right on July 23rd. Each one was slightly different in how it felt afterward but virtually no pain and I was driving within a week of each. I opted for the Panoptic lens and I now have 20/20 in both eyes. I did opt, also, for the laser instead of the scalpel which heals more quickly but I hardly saw any evidence that surgery had happened. My right eye had some slight bloodshot but the left had none at all. My worries and fears were great prior to the first one but afterward, it was so easy, I could hardly believe it. I am 63 years old, no diabetes, no heart trouble, and am fairly active. I try to walk at least 2 miles 2x a week. I say this because some people might have different reactions or experiences but if you're like me, I feel you will glad you did it. Also, I love his staff, all of the ladies in the office are superb! Let me start by saying last year I was told by my previous ophthalmologist that I would be a candidate for cataract surgery near the end of 2017. As I begin to investigate different doctors, I was sure that my previous doctor was not qualified to operate on my precious eyes. I definitely wanted a 5-star doctor and that is what led me to Dr. Menghani. The more that I investigated the more impressed and excited I was about Dr. Menghani. From my very first appointment I was actually amazed at the professionalism of his staff. They were very friendly, kind, considerate and it was obvious that they enjoyed serving the public. Dr. Menghani's bedside manner is absolutely AWESOME! He is extremely knowledgeable, very kind, considerate and very concerned that I understood every detail of my situation and the care that he would be taking with my eyes. He explained everything, showed me graphs and a short video, explained everything down to the final detail and made sure that I understood everything. He took his time and was extremely passionate about what he does. I never fell rushed, he continuously asked if I had any questions. He was most gracious and I absolutely felt extremely confident that I had made the right decision on who would operate on my eyes. On the day of my cataract surgery as I was prepped, Dr. Menghani came into the prep room, spoke with me, explain the procedure once again, wanted to make sure that I was good and that I understood everything. Once I was rolled into the operating room Dr. Menghani once again reassured me, wanted to know if I had any questions, made sure that I had been introduced to the staff, the anesthesiologist and the nurses that would be assisting in the operation and then proceeded. Everything went extremely well! Better than I ever expected! I was provided full instructions on what the next 24 hours would be like and thatn I would be seeing him the following day for a follow-up appointment. At my follow-up appointment, one of the first comments he made to me was to thank me for trusting him with my eyes! I thought that was so fabulous! This man is a true professional! My husband and I go to Dr. Ravi for our annual eye exams. He explains the steps he's taking and spends time answering any questions we have. His office is pretty busy, but he spends quality time with you and does't make you feel rushed. We think he's fantastic! I decided to switch contact lenses from Acuvue Oasys to Acuvue 1-days and didn't realize I needed a new contact lens prescription. I called the office and they gave me Dr. Ravi's email to request it directly through him and he gave me a new contact lens prescription at no charge. I came down from the bay area to visit OC on vacation, and had an eye emergency and had to see a doctor on short notice. Dr. Menghani was the only doctor who could accommodate me on short notice. On my friend's recommendations, I made an appointment and came in today for my check up. I have never had an eye exam before because I haven't had a need to. Now that I am getting older and my eye sight isn't what it used to be. Dr. Revi was my doctor who took care of all my exams and questions. He checked my vision (far and near sights), Glaucoma using 2 separate machines, one, which connected to the web (anonymously) to see matches among other conditions similar to mine, as well as checking my eye for other conditions related with someone my age. I do noticed that as I was aging, things don't seem as sharp that are farther away. He immediately addressed it and wrote up a prescription for me. Comparing him with other doctors, I would say that he is knowledgeable and patient. He moves fluidly as he is doing all of his testings and observations, to a point, where it didn't even seem like an appointment. Also, as a wheelchair user, all of the testing areas were very comfortable and accessible. I never felt discomfort in any way. This is the first that I will be saying it, but I do believe I will be looking forward to a return visit. read more
