Spotty at best! I have had Quantum Fiber since August 2024 and to say the experience has been questionable is putting it nicely. Connectivity is inconsistent and it takes days to get anyone out to fix issues. I feel like the month of December has been nothing but outage notifications. Also, don't depend on the WiFi working in the house! I had to purchase Ethernet cables to plug into the router for any computer to stay connected after upgrading o the $100 plan. And yes, we do have network extenders but even those can't connect most of the time. Shop around for something else before committing to this provider. read more

I had Centurylink which became Quantum Fiber and expected the 950 Mbps service I was paying for, but consistently got speeds closer to 50 Mbps. After multiple complaints, they finally sent a technician out -- only to tell me there was "nothing they could do" and blamed my equipment. The problem? The equipment was actually old CenturyLink equipment that Quantum inherited after acquiring CenturyLink. Even more frustrating, a Quantum representative who came door-to-door promised the equipment would be replaced when the technician visited. I finally cancelled and switched to Xfinity. Now I'm paying $10 less per month, getting free Peacock included, and consistently seeing over 1 Gbps speeds with no issues. I had an extremely frustrating experience with Quantum Fiber that felt both misleading and completely unacceptable from a service standpoint. I was originally on a stable 500 Mbps plan, but after experiencing ongoing connectivity issues, I was told the solution was to upgrade to 1 Gig. This conveniently removed me from my original "lifelong" pricing plan, which already felt questionable. It came across less like a fix and more like a forced upsell. What's worse is that the upgrade didn't solve anything. My internet performance did not improve at all. In fact, it got significantly worse. I ended up completely without internet for two full days. When I reached out for support, the earliest technician appointment they could offer was several days out. We have been without service for 4 days now and have received 3 updates as to when we can expect service again. The 1st two updates were we would be back online in one day, then 3 days and now almost a week. I know numerous people in our community, including us, that work remotely. This has a huge impact to our livelihoo. I understand that some outages are out of their control but, to not have procedures in place to rectify ANY issue within 24 hours is absurd! I went with quantum fiber in mid 2025. It was ok at first and I did the $65/ 1gig plan for Lifetime. It was good for a while and started noticing dropped internet always said insecure internet on my phone, most days. I called them 3 times yesterday. First call: Girl said she did not see any interruption in service. I told her several of the neighbors have the same issue. She was suppose to see if she could reset from office. Second call got the same representative, she apparently didn't even try to reset my service . And I told her it was still not working. Third call same representative, told her it still is not up and I need Internet to work even phone, not to mention everything else. She said we will have to send out a technician and I'm leaving a lot out now... she came back and said, tech. Is scheduled for June 26th. I said that 26 days from now, no way that is possible I can't be with out service for 26 days. She said well we can expedited service to tomorrow which is Saturday, May 30th, between 8-12. The catch is it has to be approved by a supervisor and not a guaranteed until saturday morning. Well I didn't get that appt. No call no yes we will be out today. I got my sms message, said appt is set for June 26th, between 8-12. One more call today Saturday May 30th 8:30 am this morning. Called to cancel, I told the guy on the phone I can't wait 26 days to have Internet in my home. Ya know this blew my mind!! He says your acct is to far away, we are unable to Service you, and the 26th is the earliest we can be out in your area. Wow, like that's stupid, that is what I told him besides saying, why would they put this in our area, if they were not planning to service on a normal service. Their information and web site even says we have great service for issues... do Not get this quantum's fiber. Was great at first, but guessing the ATT purchase destroyed customer service, throttled speeds and is now charging me on 4/13 $479 for their crap $39 routers that I sent back and they confirmed receipt on 4/3. They couldn't even find them even after I proved confirmed delivery. Final straw was outtage and then service appointment 5 days out.... For those of us work from home this is a hard no. They have been charging me for service for two weeks already but I can't even use the service because they never shipped my router. I have called them twice and chatted online once to no avail. My internet went out, and after doing all the troubleshooting on my end with the customer help, I was told a technician had to come out, but the earliest appointment was over a week away. That is completely unacceptable, especially for someone like me who works from home and relies on internet access to do my job. I tried to escalate the issue to a supervisor or management to get an earlier appointment to get it fixed, but they refused to connect me with anyone higher up and told me "they would escalate it" but my appointment never changed. I contacted them 3 times. If the delay is due to a shortage of trained fiber technicians, then the company should not have expanded its services before having the proper support in place for the high demand. When I asked how to file a formal complaint, I was told to just tell the representative on the phone my complaint. There's no email address, no survey link, nothing that allows customers to formally submit feedback so the company can actually improve. Where does that complaint even go? It certainly doesn't feel like it leads to any real accountability. This experience has been beyond frustrating and unacceptable in today's world, where reliable internet is essential. Additionally their techs call off and leave you without service knowing you are dependent on their service for work. We were "migrating" Century Link customers Quantum Fiber inherited. They have shut off our service twice with basically impossible Asia based "customer service." We do not understand how an existing, functioning fiber optic line paid in full would be shut off arbitrarily twice. They have literally taken something working and broken it. We are working from hot spots from our phones until the Starlink equipment arrives. My wife's job depends on reliable internet. Notice also this is written during tax season, so downloads are a white knuckle affair. Keeping my phone on an ice pack so it doesn't overheat. read more

This service absolutely sucks! First off, the initial installation was botched. They are supposed to send out the crew who run the wire from the street to your house first. But for us, they sent out the final installer who comes into your house to install the modem and wi-fi first. Not once, but three times! Finally, they got that straightened out, but it took a month. So, we finally got the service up and running. After just a few weeks, their modem quit on us. I called and a tech guy tried to fix it remotely, but no dice. So the final straw was that he told me it would take four days for a tech to come out to fix it. Well, after all the crap I went through, I wasn't going to be without internet for four days, so I canceled the service and got our Cox service reactivated until Google comes to our neighborhood, hopefully soon. read more

They cut the Spectrum wire to my house when installing their fiber optic wires in my neighborhood. They damaged one of my neighbors sewer lines too. They then harassed me for weeks by soliciting at my door (in a no soliciting neighborhood) to try to get me to sign up for their services. read more

First off I was thrilled when they finally showed ATT has bought Quantum Fiber and I can sign up with discounts applying to my internet and cell phone bill. BIG MISTAKE!! My installment was supposed to be done on 03/30/26 between 2-6 pm and they never showed up and texted me late saying they are stuck on another job. Fine, things happen so I went online and rescheduled it for 04/18/26 as that was their first available appt in my area. I get a text today saying to confirm my appt which I didn confirm. Then, an hour later I get another text saying oh we cant keep your appt tomorrow so someone will contact you to reschedule. Um NO!! I have been waiting for 3 weeks now and had to cancel other appts to accomodate them. Now they want to reschedule again???? So I cancelled it all together. I work from home and I told them I cannot have my service interrupted. If they cant even fulfill a simple installation, how much worst will the actual service be? No thanks. I had Internet service in Colorado, FWIW. (Not sure why I can't find any of their locations searching Yelp from the Detroit area.) I had a protracted conversation with the salesman who came to my door, who assured me at least 4 or 5 separate times that none of the equipment Quantum was giving me ever needed to be returned. I asked so many times because I didn't believe him when he said nothing had to be returned, under any circumstances. Lo and behold, when I ended my service months later, I started getting emails from Quantum about having to return their "pods". Customer service simply told me that the salesman was lying to me. So, I'll have to return the pods when I can, but in my situation, not having planned for that, that will take a few months. They'll ding me with a $200 charge for the equipment, which I can eventually get back when I return the equipment, but I'm frustrated that they weren't more forthcoming about things. They start off good for the first couple of months and then they show their true colors. Quantum Fiber is nothing more than a cover front for con artists and fraudsters. I am paid up on my bill which is not due until today when I'm writing this review, but I do not have internet. Why you may ask? Because these con artists double billed me for a bill I already paid and shut my internet off in a clear attempt to extort a double payment. Not to mention their "customer service" consists of foreign scammers hiding in third world countries reading scripts because they don't speak or understand a word of English because they can't muster up a single brain cell between them. If you are looking for honest dependable internet service this is not the company for you. If you are one of their current victims, I strongly advice doing as I did and filing federal complaints with FCC and FTC. Unreliable internet. I've had QuantumFiber a very short time and it has been constant outages. Seems that the merger might have some bumps but I'd rather go to xfinity than wait it out. Internet/DNS outage every week causing everyday users to just be without wifi. There are solutions for the DNS outage but it's not easily accessible for the average user. Check reddit for a solution. I have very slow speeds when I am paying for 1GB. My speeds are 64.1 Mbps download / 39.1 Mbps upload. I was told to just downgrade instead of getting a solution from customer service. Website is buggy and impossible to navigate. Customer service is useless. They don't actually track outages, you have to navigate to 3rd party sites. Good luck! I absolutely hate it. read more

Essentially as long as everything is online and working they are fine; however, if there are any issues they are basically the same as having centurylink. If you've ever had centurylink you understand that they provide 0 support. They have outages without any notification and when they do provide notification it's vague and will span days. Below is an excerpt of a text message I received at 7:46 PM on the 20th of February Quantum Fiber: We're sorry for the inconvenience but an outage in your area may be impacting your service. Our team is working on it and estimates repairs will be completed by 02-21-2026 at 03:32 PM. If you scheduled a technician appointment for your location, we'll cancel it. We'll update you if anything changes. So basically, "your service is out and it might be online tomorrow, if you entered a work order, we canceled it" this was after I received no notice service outages which dropped business calls, during the three weeks prior. When I attempted to obtain the reasoning for the service outage they gave vague dismissals and no actual reasoning. The net result is their system has no redundancy, they will provide no actual status updates and they will not provide any actual information when you are experiencing an outage. Would not recommend, if you are a remote worker I think you'll have better luck with starlink as the reason I was trying this service was that I already had very bad experiences with comcast. I'd steer away from both ISPs and see what Mr. Musk has to offer, you may see a similar review for starlink from me in the coming months; however, presently it looks like they're doing far better than "Quantum". Their support team truly are a bunch of jackasses and do not attempt to provide actual service on any level. As a status update to this review, they are now not going to online before sometime in the afternoon on Monday, I'll probably have a different service provider by then. read more

After install I was only getting 200mbps, was supposed to get close to a gig. After I made some adjustments, my speed was close to the gig. after 30-min, it shut down. It seemed as though they shut me down cause of the speed I was getting. They couldn't help me on the phone. I had to set up service. Well, they told me service was out a week!! I couldn't believe it. Their slow, buggy website keeps telling me to use a portal that doesn't exist, then their customer service person tells me i have to cancel my plan (they keep the money for the whole month, even if you've only used a few days of it), and make a new account (which also doesn't work on their website).
