Had their internet for 2 years. Needed to move. Their slow, buggy website keeps telling me to use a portal that doesn't exist, then their customer service person tells me i have to cancel my plan (they keep the money for the whole month, even if you've only used a few days of it), and make a new account (which also doesn't work on their website). So lets see, slow, greedy, unhelpful. Oh and as soon as I set an end date to my contract my internet got throttled IMMEDIATELY. Even though they're still charging me for the higher speed!! Essentially as long as everything is online and working they are fine; however, if there are any issues they are basically the same as having centurylink. If you've ever had centurylink you understand that they provide 0 support. They have outages without any notification and when they do provide notification it's vague and will span days. Below is an excerpt of a text message I received at 7:46 PM on the 20th of February Quantum Fiber: We're sorry for the inconvenience but an outage in your area may be impacting your service. Our team is working on it and estimates repairs will be completed by 02-21-2026 at 03:32 PM. If you scheduled a technician appointment for your location, we'll cancel it. We'll update you if anything changes. So basically, "your service is out and it might be online tomorrow, if you entered a work order, we canceled it" this was after I received no notice service outages which dropped business calls, during the three weeks prior. When I attempted to obtain the reasoning for the service outage they gave vague dismissals and no actual reasoning. The net result is their system has no redundancy, they will provide no actual status updates and they will not provide any actual information when you are experiencing an outage. Would not recommend, if you are a remote worker I think you'll have better luck with starlink as the reason I was trying this service was that I already had very bad experiences with comcast. I'd steer away from both ISPs and see what Mr. Musk has to offer, you may see a similar review for starlink from me in the coming months; however, presently it looks like they're doing far better than "Quantum". Their support team truly are a bunch of jackasses and do not attempt to provide actual service on any level. As a status update to this review, they are now not going to online before sometime in the afternoon on Monday, I'll probably have a different service provider by then. read more

I have had my services installed two weeks ago and the app has not worked ever since the services were installed and set up. I have contacted the company twice. And they have made promises and guarantees that they will have all of my issues resolved within three days and both times that I called them. Customer service sucks. Needed to update my payment method and was unable to do so because of some problem they have with their site. They are aware of the problem and claim they have been working to get it resolved, but they were unable to get it working during the 3 weeks I attempted to make the update. Most companies have a way to contact customer service with such problems; not Quantum Fiber. I ended up canceling my service rather than deal with them further. One would think that since they know they have a problem, they would have let me send them a check, but of course that wouldn't work, or leave my service connected while they figured out the problem. Spotty at best! I have had Quantum Fiber since August 2024 and to say the experience has been questionable is putting it nicely. Connectivity is inconsistent and it takes days to get anyone out to fix issues. I feel like the month of December has been nothing but outage notifications. Also, don't depend on the WiFi working in the house! I had to purchase Ethernet cables to plug into the router for any computer to stay connected after upgrading o the $100 plan. And yes, we do have network extenders but even those can't connect most of the time. Shop around for something else before committing to this provider. read more

Steer clear! Worst 2-day service experience of my life. Scheduled to install 8am-11am on Saturday. They showed up at 4pm. Wasted my whole day. After install I was only getting 200mbps, was supposed to get close to a gig. After I made some adjustments, my speed was close to the gig. after 30-min, it shut down. It seemed as though they shut me down cause of the speed I was getting. They couldn't help me on the phone. I had to set up service. Well, they told me service was out a week!! I couldn't believe it. I told them I could have a whole new provider much faster. They offered me a $100 credit. I told them to keep it and cancel. Going with Xfinity for now. Set up my Internet two weeks early before I moved into my new apartment just to ensure that I had Internet when I moved in. It was not set up properly. The sales person was amazing. Very friendly and good at her job. However, the installer was not so great. When he finished the installation, he stated that the equipment would "easily" cover a 3500 square foot home. While he was still here, I pointed out that the internet speed in my wife's office upstairs was half that of our current ISP. He said "There's nothing I can do." I asked if they could add an extender for the Wifi, which he stated would not provide any benefit. My wife's office is 200 feet from the router and "Pods", yet gets 80 MB download speed when we're paying for 1GB. So we canceled while still in the trial. read more

Terrible customer service. They did not send me a modem but only a phone jack. When I chatted with them they said the package had been delivered. Yes, but it was only the phone jack. I kept the package they sent from UPS and it was labeled as 1 pound. After giving this proof and being transferred 5 times and having to restate my problem each time they said they couldn't send it to me because the leased unit didn't have the "tools". This was after 1 1/2 hours of chats. I finally said to left me know by email or text how to proceed. They never contacted me so I will cancel my service. read more

We had new neighbors move in and wanted Quantum. In a suburb of Minneapolis, MN. The Quantum techs went into our yard 3 times without asking for access. Left our gate open, and we have dogs so this is not appreciated. They never knocked on the door, just entered through our fence and helped themselves into our yard with zero notice. They also left a wire sticking out so my husband almost clipped his head off trying to mow the lawn as we had no idea that people had been accessing our backyard. This is trespassing and a complete joke. They're trying to dig through our other neighbors yard to get to ours without asking our permission. Worst experience ever! Called 2 weeks prior to needing installation at my new home. Got it scheduled for 2-5pm. 5pm comes and goes with no one showing up. Got a text saying they were delayed but still coming. I waited until 545pm and then chatted with them, I was told my appointment was unscheduled by the installer, couldn't tell me why. I asked to get an appointment the next day but they didn't have anything until next week. We work from home so we needed it immediately. I've had one of the most disappointing experiences with Quantum Fiber Internet. Their customer service is terrible -- every time I call, I spend an average of 3-8 hours on the phone just to schedule a service. They've sent technicians out four times, and each time they claimed the issue was fixed, only for the same problem to return. On one occasion, the technician didn't even show up. Because of their repeated failures, I've had to miss work multiple times, which has cost me both time and money. The overall lack of accountability and reliability is unacceptable. Quantum Fiber, for a company of its apparent success, has the most hideous means of customer communication. Hire some people to answer phone calls! I have fallen down the rabbit hole with this company and wasted at least two hours trying to find answers to problems. My adult son and daughter wanted to use the referral system soon after I started with Quantum and I had expressed my satisfaction (thus far) with the service. They each bought new homes and asked what internet company I preferred. After experiencing Cox, and the expensive problems related, my husband and I answered the door to a QR rep. He promised great improvements, so we decided the switch couldn't be worse than Cox. The service has been better, that is true. But nothing could prepare me for the challenges of trying to speak with a QF rep. I have spent over two hours trying to follow up on the referral compensation promised to my son and daughter. Each had been happy to tell me that I would be receiving a 'thank you' from Quantam for referring them. I just spent another 45 minutes trying to find the $200.00 in gift cards (one promised for each referral) It was pretty breathtaking to hear the agent very matter-of-factly tell me, "the time has run out" for me to redeem some referral code. I had zero idea of what she was speaking. How can time run out on something I was unable to activate? The $200 isn't the point of this- other than the fact that my adult children wanted to do something nice for me. QF apparently has a time limit on their appreciation...as well as great skill at making the redemption of this nearly impossible. QF is another company steeped in gains made at the expense of loyal customers. That doesn't make it any more pleasant to endure. read more

They currently have sales people going door to door in my neighborhood and rang my doorbell after 7:30 pm. Terrible customer service. When you try to use their website, it leads you around in circles, with no resolution to your problem. Then when you call an agent, they tell you to go online. I recently needed to transfer service from my current apartment to a unit I am moving to in about a week--was told that they could not set up new service unless I gave them a whole new email address. So I made an entirely new email account just to have my service address changed. Online, it shows that they give you the option to select a date for new service to begin. However I was unable to complete the process (see above about the website leading in circles) online, so I called their number. The agent set up my account, but began the service immediately. When I commented on this, I was told that they couldn't set the service date to be in the future. I pointed out this misalignment between what I heard from the agent and what the website indicates, and the agent began to argue with me, Unfortunately, they are pretty much a monopoly in my area. But if you are able to use another ISP, run far, far away from Quantum Fiber. read more

The internet service itself is fine. But God help you if you need to schedule service or something is wrong and you need a technician. Oh, you'll get an email and a text confirming your appointment for the time you scheduled because you're off of work and can be there, they'll even send you a text saying they are sorry but your technician is running late. When you finally call to find out what's what, they will tell you that you don't have anything scheduled, even though you've been getting confirmations and updates. I know we've become accustomed to crappy customer service in this day and age, but Quantum Fiber takes bad customer service to a new level. I have had Quantum Fiber as my internet service provider for ten months. On February 4th, 2026 I was notified by them that they canceled my Internet service and closed my account without warning or any input from me. My payments were on time and I had two weeks remaining for internet use I had already paid for. I spoke to three customer service representatives who gave me different answers but the last one I spoke to said the account had been closed because it had been marked as an account for a residential unit into which no one ever moved or used internet service. I have lived here and used Quantum here for ten months. I was advised to open a new account, which I did, but I still do not have internet access through wifi. read more

I had quantum fiber for three or four months. Head problems with the service dropping out and a lot of problems with the Wi-Fi not working right. It's sometimes dropped out especially when trying to connect via the hotspots which were connected to the modem via ethernet. Technicians came about five times I believe, replace the modem and the Wi-Fi module twice, every time blaming poor installation of the previous technician. No matter what, they just couldn't make this thing work. Their tech support was also pretty annoying, refusing to look at my service record, realize that the problems I have cannot be solved by the tech support person on the call, and insisting every time to go through their basic rudimentary tests which was annoying and time-wasting. They really don't have their business together in any way. I'm back to Xfinity who gave me a deal just as good and reliable service. read more

I'm so irritated. Where do I start. When I moved in to my new place I switch my internet from Century link to Quantum Fiber (4 months this month). This 2 internet companies are from both the same brand technology. Quantum Fiber is definitely way faster service. In my 20 years with Century link my internet has never been down this long. It's been down since 9/9/25 at 12:15pm. Received delay notification that it'll be repair by 2:19am & then 8:45am on 9/10/25. Now today 9/10/25 at 7:23am delayed notification text message -- Quantum Fiber now shows that it is still being repair and should be done by 649pm today 9/10/25. They said it's the main box at their main office that is having problems, but on my end my setup is fine. I'm connected, but with no internet. They claimed a lot of people are having the same issue. The Representative I spoke with - Freddy said customers can't stream. I told him he needs to send a message to his Supervisor and CEOs that I work from home remotely and I can show them proof. I'm not one of the customers calling in because I can't use the internet/wifi to stream or for my leisure time. This is my job. I have unlimited data, talk & text on my cell phone- I can stream and leisure usage there. That's not why I'm irritated about. We're talking about my job. He said that they will prorate me however long the internet is down and it'll be on my next bill. The amount prorated is not enough for the hours/wages that I have already lost. read more

Trying to set up service at brand new construction, and they seem mystified that the service is even available at my location despite my immediate neighbor having QF service. When I ask that they send a technician out the reply is we have to verify that service is available first. I was handed off to 3 different agents during my call as they continue to "escalate" my request. Each time I had to repeat my name, contact information and service address as none of this was forwarded to the new agent. After all of this frustration, I was told we will have a response for within 48 hours. I called this time because I hadn't heard back from them after the first 48 hours. To make matters worse, the hold music is terrible and I had the misfortune of having to listen to it repeatedly.
