There are two ways to go about this. 1) you waste hours trying to set up the network, waiting in online chat rooms, or sitting on a phone on hold, to transfer and go on hold again, to then be told they can't help and because you don't have an account and they can't set up the account for you, but the network isn't working so you can't set up the account to get service to help. These hours of your life will be entirely wasted and be infuriating. 2) you watch the south park cable scene and understand that is who you are dealing with. We had a "lifetime price " when we signed up over a yr ago. They forced a new system on us and then raised our bill and won't honor our "lifetime price. Can't log in to app to remove my account info. Can't get them on the phone. Every time I waste an entire day on hold to speak to someone they say oh we are escalating this and you will be refunded. In Seattle. I am now in my second major outage in 3 months. The first one, in July lasted a week. So far this one is promised to last two days, but last time they just kept adding a day every day until a week had gone by. I am moving and on their site went to "chat". The first response to my question on why I should stick with them when I move was of course with an AI, this was expected. It then let me request to speak with a specialist. Once the specialist was on, I repeated my question, because apparently they can't see the history? Whatever. So, they then respond to my question... and it is obvious it is another AI. Either that or a very bad canned response, definitely not a specialist. At that point, I quit out, no point it talking to an AI, or someone who can only give canned responses. There are other options, to bad most of them suck so I am stuck with trying to figure out which crappy ISP is the least crappy ISP. read more

The internet is fast when it works... but the issue is that it only worked fine for about half a day. 95 percent of the time, it didn't work. Customer service is horrible. No one can give you a straight answer. They were supposed to send a tech to my home to fix whatever issues I was having, and they canceled without telling me. After signing up for a Price for Life plan, I recently got an email saying that they were tacking on a fee, and there's nothing to be done about it. I contacted their customer service and was told that they actually didn't mark my plan as Price for Life, and said that if I wanted a Price for Life plan I needed to go to my account and re-sign up for it at a higher rate, despite that being exactly what I did with my current plan. Very dishonest, and I definitely think they are trying to push out their price for life customers in order to raise rates. Do not trust them. read more

So far they have shut off my internet service without notice, installed a wireless router that doesn't work yet, canceled a service call without telling me, and I've found out their "24 hour" customer service line shuts off at 9pm PST. They didn't do the install. Some guy wandered around for an hour in my yard, said there was an emergency, and left... The next day the installer showed up and said the guy from the previous day didn't do his job so now we have to wait. A third guy climbed a pole and dropped a big a long cable on the ground and left. So that's just laying out there. A week later and no contact from them at all. So I called them up and they say they still don't have the equipment... What equipment? We where not waiting on equipment! Customer service is all foreign and impossible to understand. They made no effort to help; they just say "sorry for the inconvenience" over and over. It took a lot of time to resolve. They also recently transitioned to new equipment. Completely no-showed me for our installation window. I arrived at my office to start my 3 hour wait at 8am. They texted at 9:15 saying they were on their way. 10am arrives and I'm still waiting, so we call customer service, only to be told they have no way to track their techs (um okay, I can track anything for $20, so...?) but they assured us that they're coming. We wait another hour and 11am rolls around (the end of our window) and they hadn't arrived. Wow wow wow. 8 minutes later they claim they've arrived, but they're NOT in the parking lot and we are searching frantically. In less than 2 minutes I get a text saying they couldn't get in, and to reschedule. It's absolutely untrue, and I feel fairly sure they just wrote us off and moved onto the next person. To waste my day, lie repeatedly and then basically gaslight me, as if we weren't prepared for them? Too much. Just SO offensive. I will be exploring other options at this time. You can barely understand anyone on the service line that's if you can even get ahold of them. On top of that the internet is CONSTANTLY down and they barely help you along with the phone calls being "disconnected" I'm more sure it's them not wanting to do their job. We just "upgraded" to quantum fiber 2 weeks ago and let me tell you what a joke it has been. The first red flag should've been when the technician called me he listed off 3 companies that he installs for so he wasn't even sure which one I was going through. When he came to install he was explaining how there has recently been an outage and they finally have people working on it. I'm sorry, but if there's any sort of outage, you should have people working on it. I'm paying $80 a month for 1 gig Internet but at times am only receiving 300mbps. I've called customer support and all they could do was apologize, absolutely zero help. I will be contacting a technician to come out and fix whatever the hell needs to be fixed so I can receive closer to the 1 gig I was promised. Otherwise I will be going back to sparklight, at least they were reliable and didn't lie to my face on what I would be receiving. The app has to be the least user friendly app in the world. Every time you click on a section it just brings you to their website, what's even the point of an app if you're just going to send people to your website?! We have repeatedly called for updates since they do not provide any. We have been out of internet for 6 days now without any communication. We contacted 6 days ago and they still have not done anything about fixing our internet connection since they have "bigger neighborhoods to fix." I talked with the subcontractor they eventually sent out to fix our lines (which didn't end up fixing the problem) and he recommended Xfinity. We will be calling them this week to change our service. Absolutely terrible service. Been without internet for 3 days. The technician who was scheduled to come out today was a no-show. Now we've been rescheduled for Tuesday (which will be 6 days without internet). My husband and I have spent 6 hrs on hold on the phone. Call wait times have ranged from 1.5 - 4 hrs. We were informed that one of their service centers recently shut down so doesn't seem to be an end in sight to their issues. We will be moving asap. read more

Could not even have my service installed after 15 days. They would book appointments and just not show up (FIVE TIMES) the customer service team can barely speak English and hung up on me several times. They canceled my account twice before my installation and then said that I did it to cover themselves. Even after they finally came and installed the equipment the tech didnt tell them that he had done it so they needed to book a separate installation that was 6 days out...just for someone to make sure the install was actually done before they turned on my service. When I moved to to Colorado I went with Quantum fiber feeling confident with my decision. For the last months with Quantum, they have had to send a technician monthly to correct the network. Quantum Fiber in the Denver area is a garbage service. My internet keeps going out saying "not connected to the internet" several times a day everyday. When I reached out to them, they tell me there's nothing wrong with my internet. I ordered another pot to increase the wifi range in my house and when the new pod arrived, it wouldn't power up. it's takes OVER AN HOUR on hold to get support. I have tried 5 times to call and cancel my service. Trash for service and feel more like a scam. read more

Scam Company. Cancelled my service and sent their Pods back to them as directed on August 8, 2024. They sent me an email at 5:00am October 10, 2024 saying I had not returned the pods and would charge me $477 by October 10th if I didn't call them. I called at 10am same day and gave them my UPS Receipt and within 3 seconds they said it was received 8/13/24. So I asked when I would receive my money back in my account since it only took a couple of hours to take it. They replyed 2 to 3 weeks. Complete Scam. First off how could Quatum Fiber still be in business with all these horrible reviews? First off setup appointment to be installed and when the installer arrived he told me it would be atleast a month before someone would be out to install main line from across the street to the front of my house. Mind you at this point I had already paid my first months $80.00 payment. A month and a half later I get installed into my house everything seemed to be working great but they about roughly two months later one day they sent contractor out to install neighbors line two house down from mine and cut my main line in two places. I go outside and talk to him and he places claim on Quantum for not flagging underground line before he arrived. He then sets up a temporary fiber main line that sits ontop of the road to my house. Mind you it's a lime rock road and has a fair amount of delivery trucks daily and passenger cars and trucks running over the fiber cable daily. Also he sliced both cut spots and leaves the cable laying ontop the ground. Two w÷is later a truck comes through pulling a low trailer and snags the sliced line and I am without internet again. I call customer service and tell them I want a new line because I am not happy with having a main line spliced in two spots and they tell me that I would have to pay for it if that's what I wanted. Mind you they did a bad job and it was there fault they just didn't do the job right. So I cancel service because it has been a headache on the day of payment due day. I return there equipment to the t of there instructions and I got atleast three texts from them telling me that they will charge me up to $250.00 if I don't return there equipment but guess what I did return there equipment and tracked it all the way. So I call them and ask why I keep getting these texts and customer service tells me that they don't keep track of that and that the customer has to call them and provide them with the traking number before they will stop sending the texts about the equipment. Calling today to find out about my $80.00 they took from me the day I canceled. Oh by the way it is very hard to understand there customer service associates. read more

Not an exaggeration, they are the worst ISP from a speed and reliability standpoint, but also the absolute worst customer service I have ever seen across all industries (even worse than healthcare, insurance, and airlines!). We've had countless outages since being forced to switch over from century link, the hardware they provide is also complete garbage, technicians cut corners and do not show up on time, customer support is rude, not trained properly, and dishonest -- always trying to get off the phone as quickly as possible without actually resolving any issues. As mentioned by others, it will take a minumum of 45-60 minutes on hold until you finally speak to one of these useless support agents. read more

Horrible customer service, I am unable to manage my network, this includes managing devices, changing the SSID and password and setting u parental controls. using the app they told me to install. I have contacted customer service multiple times. The first time I was told my account hadn't been activated yet and to wait 30 minutes them try again. Then the conversation was disconnected. 3 hours later when it still showed as offline I contacted them again this time I was told "it take time for the account to sync with the app" and then they added that taking 3 hours is "rare, like once in a blue moon" my issue was "escalated" with not ETA of a resolution and then the conversation was disconnected 2 days later, the issue has not been resolved and when I contacted support for a 3rd time I was told it's an "new issue" with the app and to give it 24-48 hours to be resolved, and AGAIN the call was disconnected when I tried to question things. Seems odd to be a "New issue" when the app stores and reddit have complaints going back 3 months of the same issue. I do not know about anyone else, but to me a top priority is being able to set up parental controls, my kids safety online is more important than fast internet read more

Was paying for up to 940 MB was getting between 50 and 200 when I call customer service I get somebody in the Philippines who barely speaks English and the only thing they would do is reset my modem remotely, which I could've done and they refused to send somebody out to look at my equipment to see what's wrong when I call to cancel, they just say OK don't even try and rectify the problem. I scheduled 3 appointments and never heard from or saw a tech. I took PTO at work. I called ahead to ensure everything was hashed out prior to the first appointment. Over 12 hours on the phone and all customer service can say (at every single failed appointment) is "he'll be there for the next one if you just get rescheduled." Then after the third failed appointment, I began calling to get a refund, and mysteriously get disconnected while the representative is "checking on that for me." It's a scam. Quantum Fiber turned off my internet and canceled my CenturyLink subscription without my permission. My partners son who is a felon called up Quantum Fiber and had them put internet in the basement so he could play video games and put the service in his mothers name. They never talked to his mother. Now I can't get my service reconnected or the service in the basement canceled. They found an error and can not correct it. For anyone that is thinking about opening an account with Quantum Fiber I would suggest you rethink that move. This company is CURSED!! Having spent long and multiple hours on the phone trying to connect to customer service, I have directed many, many curses to Quantum Fiber for their inefficient, unskilled, woefully incompetent phone support. I have also cursed Quantum for their arrogant, ill prepared leap to 5G without planning for the possibility that customers will need support due to some...I don't know...technical problems. And given the extended delay in reconnecting our internet (15 days), the length of time from when a technician could come to the house to address the problem(9 days), and the constant 2+ hour waits when calling about the absence of wifi, it seems obvious a huge number of (equally disgruntled) customers were experiencing problems too. During these past two weeks-a LONG time without internet connection-we did manage to get through several times to the tech department, talking to helpless, inexperienced, clueless technicians with heavy accents. Compared to other internet providers (T-Mobile!!), the technical support was abysmal. And it was obvious this new company has funneled all of their resources into enticing new customers, but has done minimal work in developing their phone and online tech department. The anxiety and stress this extended period has caused cannot be fully appreciated without also adding that our phones were handicapped due to the lack of internet, that we wasted hours upon hours trying to contact Quantum, and wasted more effort trying to trouble shoot the problem ourselves. We asked more experienced family members to try to identify the problem...and we finally reached out to T-Mobile to change providers. In contrast to Quantum, T-Mobile's tech support was awesome-immediately available, knowledgeable, able to problem solve, and dedicated to finding a solution-everything that Quantum's tech support is NOT. So, for those who have Quantum, be forewarned-it is good only as long as it is working. The first bad storm, extended power outage, router issue, or upgrade, and you too will be madly scrambling.
