Comfortable Cafe Love the location! Service was amazing. Food was good too. Came for breakfast and am worried that I don't know how to restaurant right. I walked in the back door, went to the front and ordered from the to go counter, took my food out back and sat at a table to eat. I think I should have let them serve me like a restaurant, and they didn't correct me or say anything. The owner Mo, came out and bussed the table after asking if there was anything he could do to make me more comfortable, and getting me the WiFi code so I could keep working. Bottom line is that this is a nice sit down place (if you let them seat you) and has an amazing view of quarry lake. Bagels were good with Russian black-bread bagels with sesame seeds. They also have a lunch buffet and felafel and a full menu. The small entryway hides the size of the place that goes to both sides of the building. After breakfast got to walk up the quarry walkway. Left happy and relaxed.

This was 7.70$ for a steak egg and cheese. When I asked for more steak because the portion is virtually none existent, the cashier only said that's how they make it and there is nothing she can do. Messed up like 3 other things in our order. For a small cafe that rarely seems busy they lack key execution skills to be considered a good restaurant

Grilled Spicy Chicken Panini and Curly Fries

Would recommend the curly fries, tater tots, and spicy chicken panini. They didn't take long and has great during the week specials. I didn't like the gyro special but the others i suggested were delicious.

    Allegedly a poppy bagel.

Our first experience with Quarry Bagel was great; the last three have been not so good. It first time there, I got a poppy bagel with pain cream cheese, and it was great. Tons of poppy seeds, just the right amount of cream cheese. Great bagel. Since then, I've gotten the bagels that haven't measured up to the first. The bagel in the picture doesn't look like a poppy bagel, it looks like a plain bagel that had incidental contact with a poppy bagel. Additionally, when I came in to pick up my order, I was ignored by the of the people that work there, and had to speak up and ask if the bag on the counter for pick up was mine. I have spent over ten years working in the retail and retail food industry, and one thing you never do is ignore your customers. Greet them when they come thru the door, acknowledge their presence when they're standing at the counter.

I only venture in here when I visit the laser place a few doors up, am starving for a meal and have some pocket money to blow. Perhaps it's the area, but Quarry Bagel is as overpriced as everyone says it is in this review. There's no reason why I should have to pay $8 for 3 small falafel balls inside a pita with some raggedy chips and a sad looking pickle. This place really takes advantage of the comfort of convenience. Usually there's a younger staff person available and while the service isn't always pleasant, it's never unpleasant. The wait times are completely ridiculous however. I've never waited under 10 minutes and all I get is the falafel pita, which I can never understand given the only people in the restaurant would be already eating and there's never less than two people behind the counter preparing food. I will give them a shout out for having gluten free bagels although I've never tried them. They also have a section for locally made products such as cream cheeses and spreads but, again, just a tad too steep in my opinion. On my last visit my order was wrong and all I asked them to do was nix the pickles. I didn't have the additional ten minutes to wait for the order so I requested my money back and walked out, making that my last time giving my money to this overpriced place.

Insanely good sandwiches worth paying more than Subway or other shops. The breakfast is incredible and bagels with lox are to die for. Today they accidentally charged us for an extra sandwich and minutes later realized the mistake and corrected it before we could notice. They brought the mistake to our attention and immediately fixed it with kindness and earnest. The food is always perfectly hot and toasted when it comes out, and I recommend their paninis because of this. The California sandwich is a must have especially because they can use turkey bacon too.

As I've said in other reviews from places in the Quarry, I'm in love with this location-- how convenient and what a great kept secret! It was jam-packed during lunchtime which seemed surprising since I feel as though the Quarry itself was relatively empty! Despite the crowd, the food came out quite quickly and was fantastic. There are a few outdoor tables that overlook the quarry, which I think would be great view and a great location for a moderately-priced breakfast or lunch. I ordered carry-out lunch from this cafe yesterday with some friends-- what a great surprise! We hadn't planned on the location having such a vast menu and it took us a little while to decide which entrees would be best; ultimately, I decided on the tuna melt panini, while friends ordered two different vegetarian sandwiches which they were more than pleased with. They have plenty of options for just about anyone for any meal; we couldn't help but try the sweet potato fries (delicious, but no restaurant can compete with Miss Shirley's). We didn't try the bagels, but I have big plans for returning since our lunch orders were so satisfying.

breakfast special! 2 eggs, potatoes and a blueberry bagel and coffee
    Linn G.

Great bagels! Very soft and fresh. I ordered the breakfast special with a bagel, 2 eggs, potatoes and coffee. I couldn't believe what a great deal all for $5.82!! The potatoes weren't bad after adding a little salt and pepper as well as the eggs. Coffee was pretty good and there was a variety of blends and flavors of coffee to choose from. I ordered carryout and my order was ready upon arrival. This place is very clean, which is a great sign. My only gripe was there was no toilet paper in the ladies room.... I will be back!!

When we walked in, the cashier immediately asked whether we were dining in or taking out. We chose to dine in. We ordered the roast beef sandwich and the pastrami sandwich, along with potato pancakes. They brought out a full assortment of pickles and pickled vegetables. Unfortunately, they only offer one diet option: Dr Pepper Zero, no other diet sodas from the fountain or in bottles. The potato pancakes were a disappointment -- mostly batter with very little shredded potato. The pickled vegetables also lacked flavor and didn't really taste pickled. Our table wasn't cleared at any point during the meal, and the waiter stood nearby waiting for us to finish, which felt a bit uncomfortable. The desserts looked amazing, but we were too full to try them. We also couldn't take anything to go since we had plans for the rest of the day and didn't want it sitting in the car. Next time, we'll come back specifically to try the desserts.

The food is served via cafeteria style in a quick fashion. You are able to watch your food being cooked which has its positive and negatives. The negative is the kitchen needs a full deep cleaning along with the staff T shirts which has clear evidence of grease and food stains. The drink included with the platter is tea, coffee or a soft drink. None of the bottled drinks are included as signs are posted on the refrigerator doors. I explained to the cashier that I don't drink coffee at all, I only drink tea for a sore throat and I don't drink soft drinks for breakfast. I was inquiring for an additional drink option as I only purchased the breakfast platter because the drink was included. There are no options as I purchase a bottled orange juice to drink instead. There is open seating available with TV to watch while you eat. There is also a bakery and deli counter inside as well. Pretty good parking available outside. I will likely return but, hopefully some feedback will bring about some changes.

Ridiculously thick and large cuts, super juicy and tender. So it sounds like a fabulous evening, right??? BUT... -Despite a seat "away from door", the place is tiny and there is no barrier between open door and seating area. -Restaurant was very cold throughout the meal and cold gusts from the door occurred on each opening. -By the end of the meal, the room was 60 degrees and dropping. The waitress told us there had been numerous complaints to management but nothing changed. -We seriously ate with coat and fingerless gloves on. We were surprised by how few patrons were there when we entered, as every other Monday night had been packed and sometimes the specials sold out. Clearly, guests don't want to eat in 60 degree restaurant. Considering the difference in number of patrons this visit, the management would be well-advised to do something (anything) quickly to remedy the situation. My personal recommendations include baseboard heating around room and a door barrier. While there are other space and cosmetic issues that would improve the place, heating must be the first task. Such a shame this terrific restaurant is facing (and will continue) to face poor attendance due to physical issues that influence customer comfort. I guess our next visit will be in the spring.

Salad with grilled chicken per my coworker was just average. Nothing to write home about. The chicken soup wasn't that great either. Like I said earlier, stick to the sandwiches maybe. If thinking grilled chicken salad, maybe look elsewhere. If getting a sandwich, I say go here.
