Having been there before I warned them that this place was very disorganized and felt like walking into a hoarders home, but sometimes they have really great things. On this day, for whatever reason, the guy working was incredibly unhelpful and rude. At forty minutes before they close he refused to help us citing it was "too close to closing time" and to come back tomorrow if we really wanted to look. I was shocked. If I had my things for sale in this store I would be upset by that. Anyways, they lost a few customers that day. And we weren't the only ones. As we were coming into the store a woman, who seemed very upset, was walking out after an exchange with the same man.

Mecox fits the bill! They are pricey but I dare you to find any of their inventory anywhere else. Everything is unique and of high quality. I love the idea that the items we bought are rare and won't be seen in every transitional DFW home. Furthermore, the "Cheers" atmosphere is unmatched in the area. David is one of the most talented and genuine human beings in retail. All the staff is truly wonderful, however, I feel like I not only found a great place to shop but also a friend in him. He makes spending $2k on a lamp or $3500 on a chair feel good! Lol. You will never regret your purchase here-they even have a 24 hr try period where you can use your credit card to reserve a piece, take it home, make sure it suits the room, and decide if you want to keep it or return it. On the sale side working with Evan, I loved the quick communication over text and the detailed invoices to review. He was always available for my questions or change updates. This made my husband and I uneasy at times, but Living Modern has an amazing showroom that is not going anywhere anytime soon. She made my purchase of cushions for the 4 club chairs we bought at the recent sale very easy. While the furniture is undeniably beautiful, the customer service was surprisingly poor. I purchased five items during their anniversary sale, where everything was sold "as is." After dealing with an overcharge on my credit card, I was told I'd receive a call the next day to schedule delivery, which I paid $99 for. That call never came until I followed up on social media three days later. It wasn't until August 27 that I finally heard from someone to schedule the delivery. On September 11, the delivery arrived, but one of the pieces was not what I had ordered. I immediately called customer service and sent photos of the correct item. They did offer to refund the incorrect item, but instead of taking ownership, they made it seem like they were doing me a favor. I also requested a refund of the $99 delivery fee, since the service I paid for (delivering the correct items) wasn't fulfilled. Later, I saw some internal emails by mistake, and it became clear they had no intention of refunding the delivery fee. The whole interaction left me feeling disappointed and puzzled as to why they wouldn't just refund such a small fee to keep a customer. Despite being excited about the furniture itself, this experience has soured me on purchasing from them again. My advice: take photos of everything you buy and be prepared for potential issues. If they're willing to lose a customer over $99, it raises concerns about their overall business practices.

I sent an inquiry to A&A and received a very enthusiastic reply saying my chairs were great and as soon as I agreed , she would send over the consignment form. Pretty standard. 50/50 split, but if she sells them online she charges you the consignor another $100 fee. But oh and you have to deliver the pieces to them. They have no delivery or pickup infrastructure in place. What kind of furniture store doesn't deliver ??? I explained in email that my chairs will not fit in either of our vehicles ( and I will not crush them in to make them fit ) and I got ... crickets. No further replies. This store wants no hassles , just bring them the stuff, then they rob you of half the value plus and then make the buyers pick up! Crazy. Plus the quality of items they sell is questionable at best. See a photo of these formica hexagon tables that are chipped dirty and frankly look sourced from a thrift store. So given that they want nothing to do with handling their stock ( my stock essentially ) why would I entrust my chairs to them? Since writing this Erin has sent two emails to get me to change my review.

We were only given one option for an entertainment center for our living room. I should have known then that of a "decorator" can only give you one option..LEAVE IMMEDIATELY. We have been lied to by Rori Rhodes, Teresa Higdon, and MCGS concerning the delivery of our furniture. Apparently I am supposed to know the definitions of "Ready to Ship", " In Transit" , and "Ready for immediate delivery" actually mean 4-6 months, or in this case MAYBE the end of January, 2022....unless the factory in Vietnam closes AGAIN. Rori Rhodes, NEVER told us about any issues until pressed repeatedly. Today, December 22, 2021 she admitted that out furniture is indefinitely delayed. We paid by check, which means we can not file for a refund under our credit card. Now I know why she didn't want to take a credit card, because we would have been protected. Order whatever you want online, don't go here, they are doing the exact same thing you could do, and you would have more protection and you wouldn't have to pay the extra 20% for her "services". My furniture doesn't match. My personal belongings are still in black buckets with yellow lids from Home Depot. My bedroom side table is a bucket. I have a 300 lb+ coffee table I can not move to clean under. I trusted Rori Rhodes and McGannon Showrooms... for what? $63,000 later I have no shelves, and I am living out of buckets. We went $13,000 over budget (and we were willing to spend more) to live in our beautiful condo that we have worked our entire life for. The pictures are reflective of the current state of our condo. I sold all of my furniture in late August/ Early September because we were going to get our furniture "any day now", but still nothing.
