They usually have or keep a nice jar with some fresh lemons already squeezed ready to keep you hydrated. It's a nice touch. And while the price of seemingly all the products here are somewhat well; pricey, you can't help but feel at home, plop down, and people watch for a bit especially if you get lucky and get one of the couches or love seats that face outward toward the mall foot traffic. And while my mother is more of a customer at this particular location than I am, I have purchased products here before and have always come away happy with the results. They unboxed my husband's chair and it was broken. They set up the oversized chair, which so far is fine. The pull out sofa bed was set up as well. The ottoman was not in the delivery. Within one week the sofa was broken. Screws and hinges popped off. Husband contacted West Elm and they told him a part would be ordered or a new couch ordered by May. So, he does not have a chair to sit in, we cannot fold the bed up since it is broken so our living room is not usable, and we do not have any guarantee that this issue will be resolved anytime soon. I do not recommend this company. Prices are high and you do not get what you pay for. Customer service is non existent and quality of product is poor. I think we will return couch and go to Living Spaces.

Fabric started pilling excessively before 6 months of use. We brought one of the pillows back to their store in Manhattan Beach to show what was happening. They kept the pillow and after several weeks their store manager called saying they agreed to redo the items. Once we picked the replacement fabric Quatrine came up with several invoices charging $500 per pillow and didn't even include the appropriate credit for what we had already paid. We asked them to take the furniture back and they refused it. Something so simple to solve ended up into a nightmare.

Do you want to give them some guidelines, get them to know you and then have them come up with recommendations? Or, do you want to work alongside of them in a collaborative manner? Jamie is equally good at either approach. In our case, we liked to collaborate with her in real time. My wife and I would sit with her in her studio in front of a big screen monitor. We would surf the web pulling together the furniture, materials, colors and accents that we all agreed upon. In some cases, she gently "guided" to consider things that on our own we might not have done. Now that we see those decisions in place, we're glad we were gently pushed to expand our thinking about what we wanted. You may not have the time to spend the time like that, but we did and we loved the outcome of the process.
