Went in on 6/26/26 in the evening and two young ladies were working, walked in and were quickly greeted and told the promo, when I had a question and asked one of the young ladies she barely helped because her and the other worker were on a phone watching some show. When I finally picked out the two pairs of sunglasses I wanted to buy I waited a few minutes at the counter and the ladies did not even glance up from their phone super engrossed in the show meanwhile the store had a good amount of customers, it wasn't until I had to tell them they I was ready to check out that they even noticed I was standing at the register ready to pay. Cute glasses. Affordable and cutest in the market. When wearing them out I notice all the stares and the quality is good. They offer perscription as well. Customer service here is pretty bad. When I call someone kept answering and hanging up. Horrible customer service voice. In person was the same way. Maybe sunglasses are hard to sale or something but yah customer service is not great. Quay, I guess business (making sales) is not important to you. As an Asian American I felt racism from this store. I was not greeted as I entered the store, which was devoid of customers at the time, and without a smile, I was told perfunctorily the protocols of trying on the glasses at this Los Cerritos Quay sunglasses store, which you can guess I will never give my business to or refer friends to. Perhaps, I was being too sensitive I had thought for a hot second as I tried to shake off the hostility of the representative that obviously does not care about sales, or sales to an Asian. However, as soon as another group walked in, non Asians, they were greeted multiple times by the different staff and immediately assisted. Hmm .... Just sayin'... Well, I went to Sunglass Hut in the South Coast Plaza and made my purchases because I was -oh my goodness - assisted like like an actual paying customer. Quay was so much more affordable. Because I tend to like variety, I could've purchased 5 of your sunglasses over your competitor (nope, there is no competition). As a person who has worked retail and owned a business as well, I've treated everyone with respect and inadvertently got ridiculous sales because I did not judge them by their color or even their appearance. Sunday August 1st 2021 I called Quay in Cerritos mall to confirm if they would take a online coupon in store. First off, who ever answered the phone was super rude and only greeted me with a 'quay'! There was no 'how can I help you' or 'this is _____, how can I help' no customer service AT ALL!! I asked my question and they said 'yes, we will honor that coupon for you' A couple hours later I arrive at the mall and of course I forgot my phone at home ((which is my fault of course)). I decide to go into the store anyway to see if they will take the coupon since I had it memorized. I walk into the store and there were 3 girls hunched over a table and they were laughing and talking... it took about 3 mins for someone to greet me! Finally someone greeted me and I told them that I had called earlier that day about a coupon. I explained to her that I forgot my phone but I remembered the code, she said 'no problem, we can honor the code- go ahead and pick out your glasses'. 5 minutes later she comes up and tells me that I actually need the code. Even though she said it was okay that I didn't have the actual screenshot of the code .. I went back home and got it. Maybe 25 minutes later I come back with my phone AND the screenshot. I tell her that I have the code and I show her the screen shot ... she says 'WELL WHERE IS IT' in the most rude, unprofessional way possible. Her tone literally took me back. I had to point to the code. She was like 'Kay, pick out your glasses'. I picked out my glasses and then she sat me down for a fitting. While all this is happening she's texting back and fourth with a manager about the coupon. Finally, she says 'we can't honor the coupon after all' I was pretty frustrated but I was kind and told her that I 1. called and asked, and you guys say yes... 2. I came into the store and they said again that they would honor the coupon if I went back home and got my phone for the proof of screenshot. 3. I went all the way home and back and AGAIN, you say you will honor it. So I leave and I'm pretty frustrated. I go home and put my order online bc they have a different promo going on.. out of curiosity I tried the coupon code that I want to use... 2 prescription glasses for 95$ 'GETMYRX'.... And it WORKED online still... so why couldn't they honor it in store?? I'm not even as upset that they couldn't accept the coupon but I'm more so upset with the customer service, the tone and overall experience with Quay at Cerritos mall. I spend a lot of money with the brand and this whole experience was just absolutely horrible. I will NEVER go into that store again. read more

I really didn't want to give a 1 star review cause this place is really cute and has great glasses but my review is for the manager Joe I believe his name is. Truly unprofessional and just rude. My friend said she wanted to check out the store cause she wanted some new sunglasses so we go and try on a few pairs and follow the instructions of putting them on a try for them to be sanitized after trying on. Right off the bat he just looks so bothered we are in the store and doesn't even acknowledge us. The whole time just rolling his eyes and definitely felt judged. Like were we interrupting you just standing around?? Then as we leave we say thank you have a good night and he says "bye" in the rudest tone and looking back we see him giving us a look of disgust. Is this how you treat customers? I mean we could easily take our money to Sunglass Hut literally across from you. Think about that next time you're rude to customers for no reason. read more
