This little place is a hidden gem. The staff is incredibly sweet and go out of their way to help you. There is a very nice old man who greets you and makes sure you have everything you need. He was smiling the whole time and it seemed genuine not just for face. I loved that although he spoke some broken english, that did not stop him from communicating with english only guests. Amazing birria tacos with no cheese (yay!). Seems like a super local spot. We also tried the tacos dorados which looked amazing but didn't really have any flavor (non marinated chicken inside.) The guac was pretty watery. The lemonade did not taste fresh even though I asked before ordering (possibly language barrier.) The food was good. But the service and menu on their tv when you order really could use improvement. Two of the things I ordered were different prices than what was on the screen behind the lady when I was ordering. And then when I asked about it they were rude and said oh that's wrong price. So I opted out because it's was like $3ish or $4 dollars more than what they had posted. The ambiance was very plain but that didn't bother us at all. The other issue we had was they only have one high chair in the restaurant so it was hard having a toddler that wants to be on move. They never apologized for price change and instead brought me a paper to scan to see the correct prices because their menu also listed incorrect prices. The el pastor tacos I had were pretty good it's just unfortunate that the service didn't match the flavors of the food and the prices didn't match the actual prices of the food! read more

Stopped by tonight and we're not disappointed! Appetizers were great especially the Mexican corn and Guacamole and chips. Service was great and everything came out right away. We were in the area and looked for a Mexican restaurant. We found "Que Chido" and was pleasantly surprised! We had tacos and delicious Chorizo Queso Fundido. Their Horchata is very yummy! The food was great & the staff was nice. The birria tacos were some of the best tacos I have had outside of Mexico. The pepino loco appetizer was also spicy delicious. It was quiet on this Saturday afternoon. My only gripes that dropped it to 4 stars was it took a little long for our food despite how empty it was but on the flip side the chips and taco shells were freshly made. The restroom also could use a little TLC in terms of ceiling tiles, dusting and uniform lighting. Restrooms are usually a good indicator of overall restaurant cleanliness. Easy things to fix so I would definitely go back and recommend them if in the area. read more

We started with the chips and guacamole, I loved the chips they were thick and you could tell they were freshly made. The guacamole was also super delicious. My boyfriend ordered tacos, he ate them so fast and loved them all! I absolutely loved the fish taco, it was crispy and the sauce on top was delicious. I was searching for a good taco place and found this one online. I looked at the reviews on here and wanted to try. I called in and the young lady who answered was polite and took my order for pickup. I arrived and it was surprisingly not busy. I wish there was more to the aesthetics of the place but it has potential. I approached the counter and the young lady who took my order over the phone was there to hand me the order and check me out. She was as polite and helpful as she was over the phone. The food looked good and was exactly what I ordered and expected. There's a sauce bar and I grabbed some guac mild and red extra hot. I got three Birria tacos with cheese. The tacos were delicious. The guac mild is good and if you like hot sauce the red extra hot is great for you. I was stepping out my comfort zone with that sauce lol. Too hot for me. Headed out tonight for a different restaurant but made a switch and ended up here. We were not disappointed. No expectations coming in, but portions were generous and everything was delicious. I had asada tacos and a steak quesadilla and my wife had enchiladas suiza. The tacos had a HUGE amount of steak. The quesadilla was so big I couldn't finish it. Guacamole was outstanding. It's hard to find authentic Mexican food around Miami. Que chido has a lot to offer. They don't carry Plato's fuertes that a signature chef created, they don't have michelin grades or any fancy bells and whistles. What they have is flavor at a good price. Birria menu is decent and the flavors are there. I want this place to do well. If you give them a shot just remember that this is an everyday mom n pop restaurant. This is the closest I've been to authentic Mexican food in North Miami. The hot sauce bar is HOT and the sauces are homemade. The ambiance, the decorations, and the music is always on theme and it's very cute. The server is helpful and the cooks always peep out to check on staff and guests, with smiles and eye contact. I would've like some bites of meat in the consome sauce, it had none. The condiments were perfect. They offer over 4 different sauces, grilled onions / peppers along with some jalapeños. First of all the Ambiance is really nice so if you're going to go there to hang out it's a pretty cool place they have a lot of artwork around the restaurant truly pretty parking and there is good parking around. You go up and you place your order and then they bring the food to you. All right starting off with the chips and salsa the chips are fried flour tortillas and the salsa is a little different it's warm and I love the the fresh cilantro on it I just honestly wasn't that thrilled with the salsa and the chips I guess some it may be me but I'm more of a corn tortilla fresh corn tortilla chips. Now the two main the birra quesadilla was amazing this really took in all the good flavors of a true birra meal! It's a good size that you could pretty much share it comes with three huge pieces full of meat cheese and on top they have like pieces of onions that's been cooked on it I have to say this was really tasteful flavorful and would definitely end up getting this again. Ok folks, new taqueria in North Miami Beach - Stopped in on my way home to check out the new kids in town- this place is where Big Slicks used to be. Upon entering noticed all the cool Mexican decor and was greeted by a very nice lady at the counter asked what was good, showed me the menu and decided to order three different tacos to start: two chicken and two Asadas, and two Pastor as well as their homemade guac and chips. Got the order to go. Got home and started to feast on the tacos and a homemade guac. Let's start off with the homemade guac super delicious, super fresh as well as all three types of tacos. Nice portions full of meat and all of them and very fresh and flavorful. They've been open for two months and seemed a little slow at the time however, I believe this is because they just opened.
