Spacious Mexican establishment with an extensive menu. It's tough to find good Mexican food in the Miami area and this is one of the better ones I've been to. Tons of seating, mostly inside with some out. We sat outside and our server was prompt and helpful. I ordered mole enchiladas with cheese. They brought me the wrong thing (chicken). Annoying because I like to eat vegetarian most of the time but was still good. The mole had nice flavors. Enjoyed the beans as well and tortillas were fresh. I absolutely love the food here and always recommend it to folks when talking about Mexican food or tacos in general. However, my last visit wasn't as enjoyable as the others, which is why I'm going with 3 starts. The food is still great and the service is great but the other day they had a live singer singing from what seems to be a Karaoke box. It was way too loud. I had trouble hearing the server, hearing my friends and hearing my inner thoughts. The food was still great (i always get the tacos, but everyone in the table enjoyed their food too and they got other things) but I absolutely hate places where the music is louder than your own thoughts. This experience has made me rethink eating in ever again. However the food is amazing so I can still recommend either take out or the little stand they have for tacos to go. read more

Stopped by on the 4th of July as I was having a birria taco craving. When you enter, seating is to the right although the entrance would make you think you've arrived at a takeout restaurant! We were assisted and seated and immediately ordered birria tacos and sodas. After about 2-3 minutes or so, the waitress returned to the table and informed us that birria was not an option and that it is offered on the weekend only. Whew! A bummer. The waitress offered recommendations from the menu as I'm sure she understood the disappointment which was super nice! We had an assortment of the chicken and steak hard shell tacos which appeared to be authentic Mexican tacos but did not satisfy my taste buds. They seem to have entertainment in the establishment at some point as there is a space setup. There is a parking lot with plenty parking available at no charge. There's also a little store as you walk in the restaurant. Overall it was pretty good. We have been looking for a good low-key neighborhood Mexican restaurant in the Aventura/North Miami/Hallandale area, and the vast majority of Mexican food options usually get too fancy and expensive. Finally, we decided to try Chapultepec, we were just a little reluctant because the reviews were so low, but we're so glad we gave them a try! On the weekends, they have a taco stand in front of the restaurant, with high top tables in the parking lot, or you can also eat inside (and have the tacos delivered to you inside). Parking can be a little limited, so you can park in front of the restaurant, behind the restaurant or in the residential neighborhood in the street. We dined inside and it took a few minutes to be assigned a server but once we were greeted, the server was very warm and friendly and hospitable. My partner and I both ordered a margarita ($7.50/each). I tried both the lime and strawberry on the rocks. I would say the line was my favorite. We ordered chips and salsa to start, they weren't brought by default. They weren't on the menu either, so if we were charged for them it was a very small amount. The chips I believe were house made and were very tasty. For entrees, I ordered the a la carte tacos ($3 each). I tried the carnitas, barbacoa, Al pastor, and pollo. They were all extremely tasty and I encourage trying a mix of the tacos. I also added on the refried beans and rice as sides for a couple of bucks each. Overall, it was an amazing experience, was exactly what we were looking for in a Neighborhood Mexican restaurant and look forward to returning! read more

Hands down one of the best Taco spots I've had in all of Florida. On the weekends they set up shop outside of the restaurant and make the tacos to order right in front of you, just like they do in Mexico. I eat here every single chance I get and get a bunch of different tacos from each time and stuff my face. The staff is always friendly and they are open late on the days they set up shop outside. There's typically a line but trust me it's more than worth it. They have a range of sauces available and they do not hold back when you ask. I have searched yelp and visited dozens of tacos spots from south Miami to Fort Lauderdale. This place blows all of them out of the water. Best street food tacos in South FL! We always come on the weekend evening - they have an outdoor grill and make delicious carne asada, al pastor, suadero, lengua, and more. Topped with onions and cilantro. The arbol hot sauce is ridiculously SPICY and tasty. It's incredible. We enjoy the Horchata (rice and cinnamon) and Jarritos strawberry drinks. At the entrance they measure your temperature before passing you to the seating area. The waitress was friendly and attentive, the prices are good. One of few places that serves tasty orchata. I ordered a Chicken Enchilada with mole and pupusas mixtas. The pupusas were thin and mostly burnt and didn't even come with a curtido (Salvadorean cabbage slaw).
