    Iced Vanilla latte
    Andreya P.

I stopped by Que Rico Caffecito around 7:15 a.m. on a Sunday right when they opened because I was really looking forward to trying the Biscoff Cookie Latte. Unfortunately, they were already out of that one and the Churro Latte, which was pretty disappointing. I can understand running out later in the day, but I was surprised they were sold out first thing in the morning. I ended up ordering the vanilla latte instead. It was good I enjoyed it . The coffee shop itself is really cute, though, with a nice little seating area if you want to hang out for a bit. Their matcha drinks looked really good, so I'll definitely have to come back and give one of those a try. The ladies working up front were very friendly and welcoming, which made for a pleasant experience overall. Hopefully next time they'll have the drink I originally came for and I will go back to try their matcha overall 7/10

Great service, a clean and welcoming location, and an all-around great experience! I ordered the Mazapán iced latte, and it was hands down the best one I've had all year. It was perfectly balanced, full of flavor, and not overly sweet. I'll definitely be coming back to try more from the menu!

I got it hot today, but when you ask for it iced they torch the sugar on top which is a nice touch. Chaggacino- We discovered it here- a mushroom latte sweetened by monkfruit. Would describe it as having a smooth nutty flavor. Great with almond milk. On the weekends it can get pretty busy, so it was nice to enjoy a quiet weekday morning here. Friendly and quick service. The service was great, they were attentive and quick, the drinks came out quick as well! Coffee : got the plain vanilla latte with almond milk because I wanted to try their coffee/lattes without all the extra flavorings. My friend got the creme brulee latte, and overall they both kinda tasted more like milk than coffee. And I understand that they are lattes but I barely tasted coffee. The food is where I was more disappointed in. I got both chicken pesto and turkey swiss panini. Chicken pesto: had no pesto, I had asked the server if the pesto was a spread vs chicken flavored with pesto or something because i was confused on why I just got a chicken and cheese panini, and they told me it should be a spread. Don't get me wrong it wasn't bad, but a panini pressed chicken and cheese is baseline good. Turkey Swiss: had no arugula, and I mean not a huge deal but if its unavailable it should be expressed or at least changed on the menu? Again not a bad sandwich but it was just a turkey Swiss panini with not much else so I'm not sure if i would want to pay $10+ for it. I want to try their matcha but I'm debating if its worth to gamble seeing if it's going to be good matcha or just a sweet drink. Nothing wrong with a sweet treat, but more a personal preference if I'm looking for a quality coffee/ matcha.

I ordered the banana matcha. The banana overpowered the matcha, and overall the matcha tasted very water down. I was disappointed with the quality of the matcha because I've heard many great things about this cafe. The staff were very sweet and welcoming. My mother ordered a banana cold brew and a protein shake. We didn't wait that long for our drinks, but the staff forgot about our banana cold brew. My mother didn't like her protein shake and found it disgusting. I do enjoy the vibes of this cafe, it's extremely adorable. However, I think their coffee is below average. They have an amazing reward system, though. If you buy two drinks, you get the third for free. I wish that more cafes can incorporate. I really wanted to enjoy their coffee because I've heard so many nice things about it and they have an amazing reward system, but their coffee was below average in quality.

We opted for the alfajores, strawberry croissant, and warm ham and cheese croissant. First, the alfajores! Delicious, delicious, DELICIOUS! This wonderful South American dessert was properly made and HUGE. The filling and the outside cookie were both perfect -- the flavors felt like a symphony dancing across my tongue. Next, the strawberry croissant: a perfectly flaky pastry filled with creamy, smooth custard that had just the right amount of everything. It was like a dream. Third and finally, the ham and cheese croissant -- OMG! I don't remember ever having a ham and cheese croissant like this before. This was quite possibly the best one I've ever eaten. This little family-owned and operated bakery/coffeehouse is one of my favorites. I highly recommend that anyone passing through stop by and indulge -- and I don't mean a little... go all out and treat yourself! The staff were friendly and quick to assist both during and after ordering. The shop has a great vibe that makes you feel transported from the busy California city hustle to a charming small-town coffeehouse that's been around for 30 years. This is a must-visit spot for everyone!

I did have to drive the block twice to find parking, but locals know this spot pretty well so cars will be in and out of parking spaces in no time. On the plus side, by driving around the block, you will see other businesses and murals that you would want to check out once you visit Mestiza Coffeehouse. The coffeehouse is cashless, so be prepared to pay accordingly. Behind the counter are employees baking and barista-ing all aspects of this place. Upon placing your order be prepared to pick-up your order separately if you order a pastry and a beverage. Speaking of beverages, I ordered a Bees and Flowers...iced. As recommended by the barista. So good! For foods, I ordered a deliciously flaky Almond Croissant, that was topped with sliced almonds and powdered sugar and filled with their house-made almond paste. I highly recommend visiting Mestiza Coffeehouse and shop one of its many vendors of goods in the seating area.

Very straightforward, but really well balanced. If you've never had chicory coffee before, it has a deeper, slightly earthy flavor that stands out from a standard cold brew without being overly bitter. It feels inspired by Louisiana/New Orleans-style coffee rather than the super sugary "dessert coffee" trend that a lot of places lean into right now. What I especially appreciate is the price point. At around $5.75, it feels reasonable for a specialty coffee drink that still tastes unique and intentional.

The line was out the door, but I knew she'd love waking up to a nice cup of coffee, so the wait didn't bother me. I ordered coffee along with three ham and cheese croissants to go. When I got home, my wife was so happy. She ate part of her croissant but didn't finish it. My son did the same and only picked at the edges. I ended up finishing mine and the rest of my son's. About 8 hours later, after grilling dinner, both my wife and I suddenly became extremely sick. Severe stomach pain, nonstop trips to the restroom, and all the signs of food poisoning hit us hard. Our guest had just started eating dinner while my wife and I were both stuck dealing with the symptoms. The symptoms carried throughout the entire night and are still lingering. Both of us have been dealing with fevers, body aches, nausea, stomach cramps, and constant trips to the restroom. It completely ruined what started as such a special Mother's Day for our family. I normally don't leave reviews like this, but I felt it was important to share our experience. I truly hope this was an isolated incident, especially on a busy holiday, but I also hope food handling and quality control are looked into so no other families have to spend Mother's Day ending like ours did.
