I ordered a smoke infused Old Fashioned which was absolutely amazing! The food was good, but nothing to celebrate about. I ordered the filet, but was surprisingly tough for this cut of meat, but seasoned well. The veggies and potatoes were tasty and cooked well. Overall, I would definitely come back to this restaurant if I'm ever in Alexandria again, but I would try something different on the menu, for sure. No apology was offered, no discount - nothing. To add insult to injury, I asked for a to go container and the server brought a small one, saying they ran out of the large size. My group came here twice during the short work trip we had in Alexandria. It was a very small town with not too many options, but many were craving Cajun since we were in the south. I am personally not a huge fan of Southern food and the food here was not super authentic in my opinion, but again, it was a very small town in Louisiana, so I wasn't expecting anything out of the ordinary. Went here for Lunch yesterday they brought has some fresh baked dinner rolls with butter they were sso good!! Hard to beat fresh baked bread. We ordered . Oh my goodneOnion Ring Appetizer they were amazing yummy yummy! I order salad with Ranch Dressing, Fettuccini Alfredo and Blackened Chicken Breast they were really excellent. Ordered the seafood gumbo. It was good but very salty. Supposed to be the best in central louisiana. The service was good.

This is the second time that I have eaten here and I have been disappointed both times. The print is so small that you cannot see where the seafood comes from. There were only 2 waitresses today so service wasn't the best. My cousin had the prime rib sandwich which she said was good. My crawfish deuce was cold when it was brought to the table. Do not sleep on this place! Everything we had was amazing! Crab cakes were light with a little spice, a huge portion of shrimp and grits with the most amazing smoked ham and étouffée stuffed snapper, wild rice and scalloped potatoes like you have never had them before. All with the best flavor!!! Also had a perfectly balanced Smoked Old Fashioned to round out the dinner. Antonio and his staff and kitchen crew were so warm and kind. Visited this restaurant in a strip center off the highway at 8:52 p.m. and it closed at 9 p.m. Immediately inquired whether it would be an issue serving us and was assured by the hostess it wasn't. The kitchen will fill orders no later than 9:10 p,m. The waitstaff was friendly and accommodating. Parking available in front of restaurant. Upon entry, the hostess stand is near the door and there were one couple and a small family seated. The waiter, a graduate student in Strategic Leadership, immediately took our dinner order. I always engage my servers with kindness and respect and leave great tips. Service industry is sometimes challenging. My party of 4 ordered: Shrimp Po'boy, seafood platter, burger, fried catfish and a garden salad. The food was delicious and well seasoned with no complaints. Reasonably priced menu items. The Cajun themed medium sized restaurant has a section for Live music on weekends. None during our visit. There is a bar, clean restrooms, and ample seating. It's an inviting place to enjoy dinner. Stopped in on a weeknight for dinner. The server was really friendly. We were all happy with our meals. Pastas, salad, crab cakes, etc. The decor around the restaurant is fun. I think I finally figured out the problem with the Pineville restaurant, they are putting too much effort into their catering side of business than their actual restaurant customers. During lunch that is. Also, Somehow the confusion from the menu to the chef on the dishes served seems to have increased. For example jumbo shrimp on the menu, the chef cooks the dish he uses medium to large shrimp, cooked in a wine white sauce on the menu the chef cooks it without wine in sour milk? Needless to say it was sent back. Seems the owner needs to make some changes if he expects Pineville and surrounding area customers to continue eating there. Will he? read more

Found myself up this way to visit family and we stopped by this place to grab a bite to eat. Nice little place in a shopping center with several seafood and burger options to try. Food and service was fast and the food was fresh. I also tried the hurricane and woo it was strong but good. Would love to try out more options here if I'm back this way. read more

Some friends wanted to try this place. I'll go when someone else picks it, but I wouldn't choose them. It feels more like a tourist place than a local place, but maybe its just me. We discovered the place was closed. There was an official looking note on the door...something about being shut down. Didn't see when it will open, so that was a bust. Greatly disappointed in this place. My husband ordered the seafood platter and he got food poisoning. All the seafood tasted frozen and not fresh whatsoever. This is a nice family restaurant that has a private lot that it shares with the other strip mall residents. They have a nice menu full of cajun food and they also serve alcohol. The restaurant has a stage that looks like they host bands/singers on certain nights. The night I was there did not have any entertainment. The restaurant is well decorated, bright and colorful. It has a cabin like feel. If you really like the restaurant and want to take a memory of it home with you, they have T-shirts that you may purchase. I do not do shrimp, and many of the menu items have shrimp or similar seafood in them, so I went with the cajun burger. It came with fries and it was all delicious. The burger had a little kick to it with a unique taste. The fries were much better than your average fries. Perfectly cooked and well seasoned. My server Dylan, was awesome. He was friendly and very attentive. Other staff and the cook came out and greeted me and inquired about my meal. I highly recommend this place. Front desk manager at Hampton inn and suites down the road suggested this place for authentic Cajun food. I got the stuffed red snapper with sautéed vegetables and stuffed potato. Everything was wonderful. I also got southern bread pudding, everybody on line was raving about it. I don't usually get desserts, I don't care for them...... this bread pudding was a gingerbread roll with ice cream and whipped cream on top. The bread and nuts and cranberries in it, it was way too sweet for me. The atmosphere was great. It was loud with laughter and conversation. Stopped to visit since we were in the area visiting. Quaint lil spot; not busy at all- surprisingly b/c the food was good. Had the seafood balls appetizer (so delish, forgot to take a pic), Chef John's Seafood Au Gratin and the Stuffed Red Snapper. All very tasty!!! This establishment as a whole has the most disgusting policies when it comes to customer service. I ordered a porkchop plate to go, and the porkchop was extremely salty. I asked for a replacement meal and was told I could not receive one and was not offered a refund. This is not the first time. When one of their establishments used to serve crawfish I was told I couldnt get a replacement meal or refund. Their crawfish was overcooked as if twice cooked. Was treated to this place, and it did not disappoint. You got to experience the full flavors of Louisiana, with a heaping portion at a good price. Every bit of the food tasted fresh and was seasoned to perfection. The catfish étouffée po-boy, while a bit messy was amazing. I had never had the style of fry that came out but it too, like everything else was delicious. The establishment itself was still coming together, and a bit warm, but overall a great place to eat.
