The food was traditional Louisiana Cajun creole food. The portions were large and the service was excellent, the decor was traditional Louisiana and that of a dinner restaurant

Chicken crackling

This is a must stop! The boudin balls are off the chart outstanding! The crawfish meat pie was outstanding! If you have never had chicken or pork crackling, you must try. The staff left I try the crackling. It is slap your sister good! The humble was the best I have had to date! I travel a good amount of time for work and try all types of food. They haven everything they make frozen in vacuum bags.

Do yourself a favor and visit this place. Love the atmosphere and they have the best music playing. Seems a fun place to eat some food... and you WILL eat some good food. Chicken cracklings... loved them. Bread pudding is huge and sweetness overload. Love it Ask for Kaylynn. A good waitress can make or break your experience for the first time visiting a place. She was genuinely friendly, very informative. She didn't steer us wrong. Overall... I enjoyed my experience and would return.

Loved the service here. Friendly, polite, professional etc. The inside was so cute with Bayou theme decorations and even the bathroom. View next part for food... The pepper Jack Boudin ball is Bippity Bobbity boop slap your momma in the face good and the price is right. DO NOT PASS ON THE BOUDIN BALLS!!! Thank goodness they put that creole seasoning on the fries. That's a LOUISIANA thang baby. The fried pork chop, chickens were cooked to perfection. Until next time Quebedeauxs.

They have a real stuffed alligator you can take a photo with.

The food was good. The atmosphere was fun and uplifting. It was clean and had great parking. The service was amazing.

This establishment as a whole has the most disgusting policies when it comes to customer service. I ordered a porkchop plate to go, and the porkchop was extremely salty. I asked for a replacement meal and was told I could not receive one and was not offered a refund. This is not the first time. When one of their establishments used to serve crawfish I was told I couldnt get a replacement meal or refund. Their crawfish was overcooked as if twice cooked. The food is sub par the dirty rice was also dry. I do not recommend. I told the manager on duty I would write a review and he said, "no problem". Date of incident 8/20/2024. Meat pie, pepper jack cheese boudin ball and snack gumbo

This restaurant is a solid 3 1/2 stars but since I can't give half stars I'm rounding down because this is definitely not a four. I ordered way too much food but I wanted to sample it, I started with a meat pie, which is another Louisiana specialty that I had never heard of till I came here. It's seasoned meat, breaded and deep-fried. It's greasy and yummy and will clog your arteries. The Pepper Jack Boudin Ball is a meatball-type-thing with pepper jack cheese in the middle stringed by boudin and cooked. Boudin is usually a ground pork, rice and seasoning mixture. The gumbo was a complete bust for me. So was the lukewarm sausage. But the pièce de résistance was the awesome catfish. I sweat catfish in Louisiana is better than anywhere else. I'd come back to this place just for this catfish

Great staff and creative recipes! Ambients is topically Cajun and restrooms very clean! Must stop at the area!

Walk in hungry for Louisiana #ComfortFood and you waddle out with leftovers to go. Not my first time in Alexandria--It's been 15+ years ago--but first time here. The menu reminds me of Mudbugs in Mobile AL--a bit overwhelming for a newbie. The cashier was accommodating allowing me to swap catfish for a pork chop with my Red Beans and Rice and Andouille Sausage. The catfish was prepared special so it took a few minutes longer but all good as I was able to enjoy a Pepper Jack Boudin Ball. Thoroughly enjoyed. #ThumbsUp OoooWheeee!

Still great and the prices keep going up. 60 dollars for 2 people to eat a combo meal with a drink…read moreis a lot. We love the food so I guess we just keep coming back! The fish and shrimp are great. The hush puppies are so good. They have crinkle fries which I love. The slaw is a little sweet for me. Service is always great. There really isn't anywhere else in this city that has better fried seafood.

Smackin Mack's-If we lived here this place would be worth the 90 minute drive OFTEN to go to!!!!…read more It's on the end of a "plaza", a little hole in the wall decorated with silly signs, limited seating, huge chalkboard menu. You order your food at the counter and they call your name when it's ready. We were greeted with a huge smile as soon as we walked in (Southern hospitality) You don't get the shit in Ohio most of the time! The food.....let's put it this way, when the 2 moms (we had the grandsons) say it's hard to get the boys to eat and all 3 boys got a cheeseburger and fries and all 3 ate every last bite but a few fries and one of them (7 yr old) says "I want to stop eating but I can't" and they gave it a million The food was fabulous!! I say this about some places but this place was top notch- out of this world-I don't even know how to describe it- I ordered hush puppies, she gave them to us and said "I'll give them to you because yall are Yankees" (She had asked about the boys and told her we were babysitting and from Ohio) The BEST freaking hush puppies I've ever had!!! I also had a fried green tomato BLT- who would have thought??? He had a Shrimp PoBoy and loved it!
