Saw the good reviews and glad we stopped for dinner. At the counter we asked a million questions as my friend is from Scotland and I'm from New York. Emily and the rest of the staff were so helpful and patient. I was intrigued by the Praline Chicken and it was delicious. Friend had chicken and sausage gumbo and also said hers was excellent. Both of us ordered the red beans and rice and by then we weren't surprised that it was excellent, also. My friend asked if she could take the chef home but the waitress (owner) said "No, because he's my husband!" She's a very lucky lady. This little Hawaiian girl that married someone from Dry Prong and comes back 30 years later to Louisiana ends up eating at this terrific restaurant. When arriving, I had a feeling the food must be good because the place was packed on a Sunday night with us and others waiting to sit. There were 8 of us on our table. I got to eat the catfish poboy with remoulade and I was in Heaven. My husband ate the crawfish and seafood gumbo and loved each bite. Service was good. My only complaint was that the air conditioner was really cold. Fortunately, one of the ladies that were at our table had a blanket and that solved the problem.
