I LOVE Logan. They are so disarmingly kind, helpful, and amazing at their job. I've gotten waxed by them, and most recently revived a brow tint+lamination service. The wax was fairly painless. The brow tint, spot on with my hair/complexion. They hair an eye for it! The brow lamination really changed the game for me. I have thin, sparse eyebrows (the scene kid era hit me HARD), and they were able to make me look like I have great brows and it honestly cut my morning routine in half. First, this is not a salon. This is a very small room that appears to be rented by a group of individual wax technicians. Their ads make it seem like you will be entering into a spa. Not at all! Very deceptive advertising! The eyebrow waxing that I rec'd from Alexandra is one of the worst I have ever gotten. The tinting is very splotchy and my eyebrows are very uneven. They look awful! What was the worst was that I had an allergic reaction to the tinting material and the wax! My eyes began burning and itching, and they began to swell! I reached out to Alex to get the product information and she did not provide it. I wanted to make sure to avoid that line in the future. Very disappointing experience! As you know ladies, when you get a botched eyebrow waxing, it really bums you out because it's your face! Sigh. Now comes the waiting for them to grow out so that I can have someone correct them. The setup isn't what I was expecting but it's pretty cool- Queen Bee rents out three stalls in the bottom floor of a building which rents stalls to all kinds of beauty providers. So there's no front desk or receptionist. A wee bit confusing at first but ultimately very figure out-able. Alex did a Brazilian and half leg on me and was fast, efficient and professional. You really can't ask for anything else from someone who's spending half an hour in your lady bits. I have been a loyal client of Queen Bee Salon in Los Angeles since the days of Jodi's converted garage 10 years ago. I've tried other salons in L.A. and SF, and I have never found any place I like better. Queen Bee is my go-to for Brazilian upkeep. After moving to San Francisco last year and not having a chance to go back to L.A. yet, I was beyond thrilled to visit Alex at Queen Bee's Seattle post during a last minute trip up. Queen Bee owner Jodi is the best, and she sets the bar high for her team both at the front and behind the scenes; everyone is friendly and professional. Level of service is fantastic, and it begins with booking your appointment: it's super easy to book (you can call, fill out a request form online, or email; you will always get a response within 24 hours). Unlike other online booking systems I've seen at big chain wax centers, rest assured an actual person put your name and appointment time on the books. This is no different for the satellite salon in Seattle (the same team is getting you prepped for your visit). Alex is fantastic. I met her (and got a wax with her) only once at the Culver City location, but we were like old friends at my appointment bonding over our beloved time in Los Angeles and making the transition to "colder" climates. I know it sounds ridiculous, but my wax was relatively painless (as is my usual experience at any Queen Bee location)... seriously, I've had some nightmare waxes, and these girls KNOW what they're doing. Queen Bee has managed to make a regular Brazilian appointment spa-like and something to actually look forward to. TIP: Check out the detailed Location section of Queen Bee's website to make sure you know where you're going (you're looking for Sola Salons in the Aspira building); I found that little extra research to be super helpful in getting there. I finally got around to getting waxed for the first time, and I am so glad I decided to go see Alex at the new location of Queen Bee Salon in Seattle! From the moment I walked in the door, Alex was super welcoming, totally non-judgmental about me being a first-timer, and very informative about everything I was about to endure :-) They say that waxing is super painful, and although some swipes made me wince, it wasn't near as painful I expected it to be. I credit that fact primarily to Alex's skill and dedication to her work. Afterward, she filled me in on everything I needed to know for care until my next appointment (which I'll definitely be making with her). I was sore for the first 24 hours after the job, but that was definitely expected after a first-ever appointment. They took me last-minute for a leg wax in an urgent situation, which was great. She was super friendly and quick, but did a generally good job. I would saw "awesome", but there were a few missed spots. Small, only a few hairs here and there, but my leg hair was long enough that it was noticeable. That said, for 25 mins, I was very happy to be in and out and hairless. UPDATE: Not to "out" Alex, but I finally did just check my email and noticed a really nice note from her RE: this review and that had she would have known, she would have done anything to fix it (though I was in a huge rush and suppose it's my fault for not communicating after the fact). Let me tell you though, her reaching out to me and being super kind + adding details that she (somehow) remembered from our conversation does also show me that she cares, and 100% made the difference. I had a disaster of a brow waxing experience in September of 2014 that left my brows sparse and unattractive. Determined to grow them back out, I waited more than a year before booking an appointment to shape what little amount had grown back. Right before moving to Seattle (like literally, three days before), I had spoken with a few friends whose brows I had liked and asked them where they had them groomed. They told me about Queen Bee in Culver City, and while they didn't have any appointments available before we were leaving, I saw that they had a location in Seattle. Well, a month after arriving in the Emerald city I finally called Alex and made an appointment. If anything, I wish I had called sooner. Alex is exceptionally professional, knowledgable, and beyond talented. She posseses a calming demeanor as she works away at creating a beautiful shape to complement your features. We had an in-depth discussion about what I was looking for and how she would go about helping me achieve those results, both presently and longterm. I also love that she is conservative in her approach to shaping, which makes me feel more at ease in light of my last experience. She has helped me "rehab" my brows, and with her help I have had wonderful results with finding my natural shape again. Definitely go see Alex...you will not regret it. read more

I've been interested in trying waxing for a few years. Finally decided to test it out. The end result is worth the few seconds of fire... x 20 to 40 or so. Lol. The QueenBee website is the best of some I've searched before. They explain almost everything and in a fun way too. I found QueenBee online and filled out an appointment request. Easy as that. Scheduling staff wrote back and made an appointment. Lucky they just started the shop in Seattle this year with Alex steering the ship this way. Alex made it almost painless. I actually didn't feel that uncomfortable considering the first wax going nose, chest, stomach then straight through the brozillian. I was amazed at how smooth it is compared to shaving. Given that I was a novice to waxing, I came across Queen Bee salon through both Yelp searching and a friend's recommendation. The online appointment process was easy and quick. The Queen Bee salon itself is inside the Sola Salon complex, which has numerous small shops inside (take a right turn once you enter, and Queen Bee is at the end of the hall). Alex was my waxologist, and she is amazing. She was friendly and walked me through what to expect during and after the wax. The waxing itself wasn't anymore painful than getting my eyebrows threaded. I was very impressed at how quick and efficient Alex was. It literally took me longer to find parking, given all the construction going around in that neighborhood, than it did for her to finish a full Brazilian. Been coming here since 2016 thanks to yelp. Alex is amazing. Her waxing skills are so good. Yeah it's just pulling hair from the root, but trust it can be so much more painful given the person's technique. I don't come as often as i should because i'm lazy, but when I make an appointment it's always with Alex. She makes me feel comfortable and is super efficient and quick. She also constantly undercharges me and offers to do other areas in the region. I like that she asks and I will usually say yeah let's go for it. She makes conversation all throughout and that helps a lot with getting my mind off the hot wax ripping out my hair. She's easy to talk to and very accommodating. My very first professional waxing experience was with her and I felt at ease and it was super fast and not as painful as I thought it would be given the area of the body. The location is super convenient for me, but if you drive I recommend taking the bus or parking somewhere far out because the downtown area is a mess. The prices are very fair and again, for the service, the kindness, and technique you're getting you really can't beat it. read more

I was a client of Alex's when I lived in LA and was bummed when I moved up here and had to try and find someone new. Obviously no one compared. Other places I went (like Buzz Off) were SUPER expensive, not clean, and really unpleasant. They didn't compare to the Queen Bee experience. It's one of the best feelings when you find your new dentist, hair stylist, etc. after moving to a new city. After months of searching for my go-to waxing salon, I finally found it! I absolutely loved my "Full Monty" experience with Alex. I tried various types of wax such as hard wax and sugaring, but realized that soft wax works best for me. The place was a bit tricky to find, especially since there was construction going on today on Terry St. (and since I'm fairly new to Seattle). I parked in the Zirx parking lot and walked to the salon. The salon is small, but clean and professional. Alex was very efficient, friendly and quick. I could definitely tell she has a lot of experience under her belt as the procedure today was probably the least painful I've experienced. Queen Bee's pricing is also very reasonable, considering majority of other places in Seattle are pricier. I'll definitely be coming back to her in the future! read more

It's just one room, but very professional setting; clean and comfortable. Book on a weekend if you can for better parking options, although parking isn't terrible there. Gaylinyet is simply THE BEST - she is an eyebrow magician. Her years and years working as a makeup artist truly sets her apart from the other microblading artists out there. I was so nervous that my eyebrows would be too dark or too thick. But Gaylinyet took her time and added little by little, allowing me to take a look every so often to ensure we stopped exactly when I wanted. She chose the perfect eyebrow color and even mixed multiple colors together. Gaylinyet knows these tiny details make all the difference. I will be seeing her every single year! read more
