It would run after flushing unless you fiddled with the handle, and the flush itself is incomplete. I finally called Cunningham and was told that could not be as they had sold 1000 of these and had no problems. The person I spoke to was extremely rude. I asked if he was calling me a liar, and he quickly said no. He told me he would contact the installer and get back to me. One week later, I called again, and he was rude and said he was going to call me, so why was I calling? He talked to the installer and was told that there was not a new tank on his truck. He would get back to me. He did not. I called again that same week and got the same rude person. I was told that they could be there the day I called. As they had not called, I had plans for that day and could not have them. He then said it would be late the next week. The following Thursday, I called, and he said that he was going to call me, and the installer would be there on Friday. No notice whatsoever. I said that his customer service was not very good. He said, and I quote, "We are too busy". So the installer comes and asks me if I am having problems with the toilet. I said yes and explained. He said it can't be, as they had installed 1000. I said yes, I heard that, but this one does not work. He replaced reluctantly. This was possibly the worst company that I have ever done business. Do Not do business with them. Can't give a Zero or a negative or they would have got one.

I called Midlands Appliance Service on 12/10/2024 regarding and issue with my Whirlpool Dryer. I…read morehad previously called Sears Appliance Repair (Sears Home Services) to come out and fix my Whirlpool dryer. It would not rotate or start after you hit the power and start button. Sears was very easy to schedule a call and I was surprised when I went to the internet and found that they were available the very next day. All seemed great. The technician opened the top of the dryer, hit the power/start button and heard a click from the control board. Dryer wouldn't rotate. He immediately said "The board is bad". He looked up the part and said "We don't carry the board and can't get it". My wife said "So what are you saying, we have to get a new dryer?" He just shrugged and said we could probably find the board on Amazon. So we looked up the part and he said that it would work. I have an electronics background so I told him I'd order the board and put it in. I said if it didn't work I would call them back. I got the board three days later, put it in and it had the same problem. So I called them and got their voicemail..said I needed them to return. I get a voicemail response that they would be out the next day. They never showed. This went on for a whole week, one day after another...with them telling me they'd be out and then not showing. Finally after four days of this I called Midlands Appliance Service to see if they could come out. I spoke with Steven Woodlief and he said if I'd called him 3 hours earlier he could've stopped out then. I told him the problem with the dryer and he said it was crazy that they didn't check out the thermal relay or switches or anything prior to jumping on the board being bad. He explained where the thermal relay was located and told me of a YouTube video that would show me where it was. I took the front of the dryer off, found the thermal fuse and checked it for continuity. It was open. I went out and ordered the fuse the next morning for $8.16 and replaced the fuse. It's been working great ever since. So no, I did not have to use Midlands for an actual service call, but the help Steve gave me was above and beyond the call of duty. This is what a good service organization should be like. I have gone to Better Business Bureau, Comsumer Protection Agency and my bank in order to try and refund the $129 bad diagnosis and service Sears Appliance Repair gave me. They do not have a live person and no matter what you call you can only get a voicemail routine that sends you back to the beginning. They do not have a phone number, and their address is listed as Sears in the now defunct Sears building in Columbia Mall. Take heed. Never use Sears Appliance Repair, but take your business to Midland's Appliance Service instead

However, I personally think that Home Depot, in general, lags behind Lowe's in a number of key areas, mainly customer service and especially the garden center. Now, I am admittedly not a contractor or experienced in construction, but I think Lowe's does a better job at mastering the overall customer experience.

We ordered the dishwasher, paid for delivery, professional installation, and the required installation kit. Prior to delivery, we completed all preparation exactly as outlined on Home Depot's website. This was a replacement of an existing dishwasher, not a new install. The plumbing and electrical were already in place, and there are existing 2-inch holes through the cabinet to route the water and drain lines, which is standard. After unboxing the dishwasher and bringing it into our home, the installers told my wife they could not hook it up because the lines run through another cabinet. This makes no sense given that the old dishwasher was installed the same way. Anyone with basic installation experience knows you simply tape the old lines to the new ones and pull them through. My wife even asked if they could complete everything except pulling the lines through to the sink cabinet. They said yes and then left without completing the install. I then called Home Depot customer service and, after being transferred three times, finally reached a supervisor. Unfortunately, it felt like talking to someone reading from a script with no interest in resolving the issue. Since it was clear this was going nowhere, I told them to come pick up the dishwasher. I will purchase from a company that can actually perform the installation they sell. I am capable of installing it myself, but I don't have the time, and Home Depot only allows 48 hours for returns. This entire experience was a waste of time and money. Very disappointed, and I will not be purchasing appliances or services from Home Depot again. Around $900 for Dishwasher $200 for installation now someone else will get that sale.
