My last experience with them I got burn with boiling water. The girl that was doing the service apologized and ran to seek help, but the other lady which I'm guessing is the manager/owner was taking no accountability. Telling me it was just red, that nothing happened, telling me I was ok and didn't even apologize. Obviously I didn't get charged since this was 1 min into my session but she didn't even offer any other compensations specially because now my face is burnt. I was beyond frustrated with the situation and the worst part was that she didn't even acknowledge her wrongdoing. read more

Went in last min to get my eyebrows threaded. I've never had this done before. She did AMAZING!!! Asked so many questions about how I like certain styles, how thick, where I wanted it trimmed. Very very thorough. Moved here in January and have yet to find anyone nearly as great as this place. 100% perfect!! read more

What...the...fuck!? Uneven eyebrows! Awful! I didn't get her name. But Labor Day 2020 @ 10:00 AM new girl was awful. I told the lady to stop before she finished because it hurt like hell! Never been that painful. It hurt so bad because she didn't know what she was doing and she took way too much hair off my left brow!! Told her it was horrible, Didn't like it, and I can't believe I even paid for it. Told her they were uneven and that she took way too much off on one side. She kept denying it which was annoying. I do not ever write poor reviews but I had to here. Please do not get your eyelashes done here. Everything else was great but the lash extensions were terrifying. My eyes were glued shut 4 times and my lashes had to be cut to open my eyes. Some of the lashes were glued to my upper eyelids, I have glue still on my lower eyelashes, huge clumps, and each side was a different length. The facial, waxing, and threading was great but please be careful with the extensions After looking at my haircut a few days after I saw how uneven it was and had to get it fixed somewhere else. Everyone who works here is super friendly, the environment is always really relaxing, and they do an amazing job each time with virtually no pain. Prices are also very fair. I've had my brows threaded here a few times by an older woman who did a nice job however the last time, another woman failed. I didn't catch her name but she had big winged eyeliner that was smeared. She seemed a bit off (or drunk) but I let her "clean up" my brows anyway. Nevertheless, she gave me a hack job and ruined my shape. Sucks because I would have kept going to the other nice lady but don't even want to go in there again now. read more

It's a bit difficult to find and you can miss it easily if you drive too fast or aren't paying attention. It's a small place located near some type of tire repair store. The wait list wasn't long when I went. There were already two ladies waiting to get their eyebrows done which let me know it's a relatively busy place - people trust them. I have trust issues with my eyebrows so seeing this gave me a sense of relief. Right after one of the girls got finished, she instructed me to sit down on the same chair. Being a nurse and esthetician myself, I wish she disinfected the chair and station after each use, but she didn't with me so I took off one star for cleanliness/hygiene purposes. For the actual threading - she was great. She was quick and didn't take off too much. She asked me about my preferences first and then discussed what looks good with my face shape. When it got painful, she would ask me if I'm okay and when I'd tear up, she got me a tissue and would take little breaks. She was super sweet. Overall, I loved my eyebrows. She tried to get them as symmetrical as possible and definitely did well. I loved the results. My boyfriend also got his eyebrows done because he saw the great results. I did take off one extra star because of the price. For me and my boyfriend I ended up paying 31$ for two people. I have no idea how that happened from just eyebrow threading for the two of us. I didn't question the price though since I liked my eyebrows and she didnt mess up the look. It just felt like for the price, it was too much seeing as how there was barely any change in my boyfriends eyebrows or that I could have done better waxing them lol. I was content that she got the job done and she was nice but I don't think it's worth the drive and the price for me. But if you live in the area and have trust issues - she's definitely someone you can trust your eyebrows with! :) read more

I was a customer for a very long time. They did a good job. I like them enough to buy a package from them. I had 1 threading left on the package. It was written in the back of the stamp card. My stamp card had stamps for more than 10 times I was there. Today I went in the lady did my eyebrows didn't honor my package and took my stamp card away. Basically I had to pay for two threading. I found this place through yelp. And while this woman who works there doesn't rub me the right way she is absolutely amazing at shaping eyebrows. And I will continue to go there. It does hurt a bit under the brows and when she gets closer to the nose, but all and all totally worth it. FYI IF YOU HAVE OILY/ACNE PRONE SKIN DO THE THREADING INSTEAD OF WAX. A thousand times over do I recommend Queen Threading. I have been to a few "fancy" salons in Austin and they all seem so weirded out when I want threading instead of waxing. And then the service is like $25 dollars and takes forever because other salons are not as familiar, and you need to make an appointment. I go to Queen during my lunch break and have never had to wait. I sit down immediately, they are done in 10 minutes, and the whole thing only costs $12. The location of this shop is in a sketchy part of town, and there aren't a lot of parking spots. However, I think the service makes up for this con. The lady who threaded my brows was very friendly and offered my boyfriend something to drink even though threading only takes a few minutes. I thought that the price would only be $10, but they have increased eyebrow threading to $12 - which is pretty pricey imo. It was still a good experience overall. read more

Basically D.C. Tatts customers take up all of the (4) parking spots in front of the Salon. I parked in a lot to the left of the building.....hope I don't get towed. :crossing fingers: Walk ins are welcome here. Thank goddess. When I showed up there was a family with a mom and three girls who had just finished getting their hairs pulled out. And there was one lady in front of me. The owner was super friendly. She chatted so naturally with everyone on the shop. And they all seemed to have a great rapport with her. It took no time before I hopped in her chair. I let her know that I haven't threaded in over a year because threaded after threaded had royally fucked up my brows by over threading and making one of them too thin. She heard me, and went to work on my good brow and checked in with me to see if I approved. Everything looked great and so she moved to my messed up brow. Y'all .... she did an amazing job! She gave me room to allow the brow to grow in, but everything else was cleaned up so well. Now I'm not used to threaders charging for the forehead and lower lip....like I've always had those areas included when getting my brows and upper lip threaded. It's a major bummer that you'd have to add on like $10 more bucks to get a full threading experience. But, oh well. So I left not fully cleaned up the way that I'm used to---but with my brows looking great. Also my skin is super thin around the sides of my lip and on my eyebrow like...to the point where other threaders have "cut" me while threading me. No such thing here. She's got a firm hand but it doesn't hurt at all to be threaded. Thumbs up in my book. The shop is teeny tiny, but she makes it work. :) read more

I have been getting my brows threaded for the last ten years, and this place offers the fastest and most pain free threading I have ever experienced. Even though I needed some substantial cleaning up of my brow shape I was in and out in less than ten minutes! My brows looked excellent and I was really happy with the results. Spa is clean and right on N Lamar. I just moved here from New York where the number of quality threading places is innumerable. Not so much in Austin. I went to a place near UT and it was dirty, expensive and the lady was rude. The threader here is incredibly nice and knows what she's doing. She takes the time to get your eyebrows done the way you want them. She's diligent and thorough and encourages you to check her work to make sure nothing was missed. I LOVE THIS PLACE! I went on a recommendation from some friends and it lived up to the hype! I walked in a little before noon and she was finishing up with a client. I was helped shortly afterwards, asking for only my brows to be cleaned up and my upper lip threaded. Now, I usually got waxed at a spot where I used to live and my brows were always taken care of. I decided to try threading on a recommendation from my mom and some friends. The first few times I went to get threaded, I had great service. After that, it became standard for my brows to be threaded way too thin for my liking. I always emphasized I just wanted them cleaned up and the shape to stay, but after I left, they just were too thin. I have naturally thicker brows that I love and I hate having to grow them out again. I asked for the brows to be cleaned up at this place, and it came out PERFECT! My shape and thickness I've grown back out is still there, AND they're even too! I also felt like it was done in maybe 5 minutes or less. I didn't get to catch the name of who helped me, but she was AMAZING! The prices were extremely competitive. Already cheaper than what I paid at my old place back home. I will definitely be coming back here for my brows and upper lip from now on. It's down the street from my work too so I can always stop by on my way home. The only place in Austin I would ever trust with my eyebrows. I've never had a place consistently leave them super symmetrical and thick. Usually they're uneven or too thin or just messed up shape-wise. The place is owned by the nicest Persian lady. And honestly, if you know, you know Persians are THE BEST at threading.
