Alright. I have given this place multiple chances now and I will officially not be back. Worst experience at a nail salon since I've moved to the area. Firstly, apparently, there is only 1 person that can do nail designs and they weren't in the salon, so consider that when booking. There was also apparently no black SNS powder and the staff was unsure if what was on hand was really "black"; thus I decided to forgo the manicure and just stick with the pedicure only. The only enjoyable part of this service was the massage. It was great. However, the enjoyment was short lived when I got to my pedicure chair and the water was cold?!?! Do yourself a favor and just take the extra time to go to Polished in downtown Raleigh. Their service is consistent and I have never had a bad experience. read more

Relaxing while listening to the birds chirp melted all the stress away. After that came the pedicure with so much attention to detail. My feet feel fantastic and look great! What a treat! I came here a few years ago and didn't have the best experience but I as in need of a pedicure before going on vacation and this was close by to work. The massage was great but the pedicure was terrible. I was the only one in the salon and the employees were so loud it was hard to even relax. I asked the tech to look at the corner of my nail it seemed ingrown and she goes and literally clips my skin deeply not the nail. While I know this was an accident and she said sorry you have to be very careful on what your doing to ensure you don't hurt someone or cause an infection. She cut my skin deep and it hasn't stopped bleeding in the last ten minutes. She further more paints my toes and they don't look great and than sticks a cotton ball on my toe where jt was cut and still tries painting the nail. I didn't even stay to let me toes dry and as I paid I said something about it and they gave me $10 back. It's not about the money it's about the lack or paying attention. And once I walked out lights went off- hope they plan to clean those tools because my blood was all over it. Stick with your regular nail place it's not worth these kind of experiences. They have gone downhill. Best foot massages. Worst manicures and customer service. Went in with appointment for a dip manicure. They began to remove my previous dip polish. A walk In arrived and my technician left me in the middle of my services to start her services. I was shocked. They kept telling me to soak my nails and my tech left to give walk-in a pedicure. 20 mins later I inquired as to where where my tech was.. and was told to just keep soaking and pick my color. Not a good experience. Went with my 2 sisters and grand daughter for a girls day. The gentleman showed us the menu and asked what type of pedicure we wanted. We chose the $39.00 one each. I asked how much for the child's pedicure (she is 5) he pointed to the same price. Spoke no English. My sisters had there toes done first. One sister got the full foot treatment as asked for...the other did not. They then each got a manicure. The one sister basically got her nails polished....nothing else. She was charged over $70.00 for basically a mini leg massage and polish change on her toes and gel polish on her hand. I was charged $18.00 to have my 5 year olds toes and fingernails painted. Only one person spoke "some" English. There was lots of discussion in a foreign language and gentleman was clearly annoyed and not displaying good customer service. We will NOT return. read more

I found this salon and Hannah's work on Instagram. I already had a design in mind and when I called, they had me text the design to give a quote. Prices are decent and Hannah delivered!!! I love my nails, she was super fast (only took 1hr), very friendly, and the spa is gorgeous. Although Hannah is fast, she's also thorough. I'm very picky about my shape and clean cuticles. She did great with very little direction. I didn't have to nit pick and look over her work every two seconds. There was no acrylic or polish residue all over my skin nor under my nails. Super clean! She doesn't have a heavy hand either (this could also be because I've been getting my nails done regularly for years and my tolerance is higher) The salon was beautifully decorated, nice music, and quiet (I went midday during the week). Scheduled an appointment online 2 days prior. Showed up on time for my appointment only to be told to come back in a half hour. Came back in a half hour then was told to sit in a chair for my manicure, well...I sat for another :45 min. No one even looked at me, had to ask for water. Then asked again, when would I be seen given I am now an hour and :15 min past my scheduled time. No one responded other than speaking to each other. Finally I got up and left. Could not give my money to a business I felt did not deserve it, much less a tip. This is the second bad experience I've had here. Definitely will not be going again. read more

Just had a "date night" here with my hubby. We both had the lemon pedicure and it was amazing. 1/2 hour in a cozy recliner with a warm eye and neck mask, covered in a blanket, in a dimly-lit spa room with the burbling water and ambient relaxation music in the background, while getting an fantastic foot and leg massage. Then that was followed by a full pedicure (trim, cuticles, calluses, scrub, and lacquer) ALL for the same price I pay for a mid-tier pedicure at my regular nail place. This place is so different from other nail salons. The first time I went in, I felt so welcomed. The atmosphere was very relaxing. What I did not expect as part of my pedicure was to be led back to a softly lit room where I sat in a comfy reclining chair, soft music playing and was offered a blanket. Then a technician came in and massaged my lower legs before taking me back out to the main salon with the massage chair and foot bath for my pedicure. All of the staff is friendly and helpful and they offer so much more than just your typical pedicure! I am now getting my nails done and am looking forward to trying their reflexology soon. I love getting pedicures here because the environment is nice and they take you to a quiet, dim room, with the comfiest couches for your massage- so much better than trying to enjoy a foot and leg massage when your trying to hold your leg weight up in the air! HIGHLY do NOT recommend. I WILL NEVER go back. Had a guy there for massage, he was great, he is gone. Got a pedi for $35 it was 10 min! No give when requested a lesser charge. My husband bought $180+ gift cert that I couldn't use on time because i was out of town for a month helping a family member recover from surgery. Got back and tried to use it. It was less than a week expired and they would not budge and would not accept it. I have NEVER had this type of gift certificate that a place would not accept a week after it expired. My own mother had one she lost and found it 2 year later and they still took it. You also are lucky if you talk to someone there that can even understand you. read more

I wish I had better things to say about Village Foot Spa. It's a relatively new business that's lovely inside, but my experience was not good. First, I had an appointment for a pedicure and arrived 5 minutes early. After 10 minutes, they led me to a massage room in the back and promptly forgot about me. I finally got someone's attention, and my appointment started 20 minutes late. The pedicurist at one point buffed the skin on the top of my toe instead of the nail, which was painful, the OPI polish she applied didn't provide full coverage, and when I got home, I found that my heels were quite rough, so I had to use a pumice stone to buff them and then apply moisturizer. I expected much better service for $39. read more

I purchased a "Lemon Fancy Hot Stone Pedicure." It boasts the use of hot stones during the massage, and intensive callus removal, both of which were a great disappointment. The hot stones were used for about 30 seconds, and the callus removal was brief and not thorough. Most importantly, the day after my signature service, I developed cuticle infections on both feet which required treatment! Something obviously was not clean, either the tools or the lemon foot bath. So my sister and I went in and decided to get our nails done. While they got us in right away (we made an appointment) and everyone was nice; the tech I got did an awful job. I showed her a design I wanted and I had to correct her on the colors and then the design I wanted was very simple, however it looked horrible after it was done because they were stickers and the design was matte and she finished it glossy. Also, while cleaning up my cuticles; she literally took a chunk of my cuticle out; and 4 days after I got my nails done it was still bleeding. Now I have a huge scab on my nail line that I can't even go get them redone someplace else because they already started lifting and the top coat came off on some of the nails. I've never had that happen before. I'm sure if you go and get the right tech here, it'd be better (based off of others reviews) but I did not have a good experience and I probably won't be returning. So sad considering I would've went back for sure due to the pleasant employees, even though their prices are a bit higher than other salons. read more

My appointment started off great with a very relaxing foot massage in a secluded room with a heated neck wrap -- that was wonderful! Then they switched me to another nail tech -- my pet peeve! There didn't seem to be a reason for the change since most of the other nail techs were sitting around talking with each other or on their phones. The second person wasn't as good as the first and when I got home, I noticed issues with my nail polish (another pet peeve). I really wanted to fall in love with this place! I may try again, but will insist on the same person throughout the appointment. read more

Sometimes I get a pedicure just for the foot and leg rub. This place starts with a 10 minute foot massage in a quiet dark room, including a hot pad for your shoulders and an eye mask all while relaxing in a recliner. If you want to be pampered to the max, go here! Seriously I have had many a pedicure and this one was out of this world. My fiancé and I went and at one point he said "are we like their millionth customer or something? It's like we're getting a VIP treatment!" But no - this place is just that amazing. The place I usually go was booked today, so I called Village Foot Spa about an hour before close to see if they could take us (we live very nearby). She said they didn't have anything for two pedicures until five - I said, "don't you close at five today? It's Sunday." She said "oh, right.. but we can still take you today at 5." So not only did we get the best service ever, they offered to stay late for us! We got taken to a private room with recliners when we arrived and were given warm eye and neck pillows. After a few minutes of relaxing, we had a paragon wax treatment, followed by the best leg/foot massages ever. We were then led out to the massage chairs and given very clean, thorough pedicures.
