Have used this salon for 6 weeks now. As described in the original review, the gel manicures were all excellent. However, now having problems with my nails themselves. My nails are naturally strong and grow fast. After removing the last polish discovered that they are thin and breaking back to virtually zero length. Gel polish/manicures should not do this which indicates to me that they have been 'over prepped" (buffed too much) during the manicure. I went here because my regular salon wasn't open for a few hours and my toes needed attention and fast! (was early on a Saturday morning) The massage was great for the pedi and the staff nice. A bit older equipment (no massage chairs)... I am used to the nice big comfy massage chairs so only 3 stars for the chairs and charging $35 for the pedi alone. I don't mind paying more for a great pedi but when the equipment isn't up to date it's kind of a bummer to pay so much. (that's just me) This is my go to place when in a pinch. I told her I was just looking for a fill and she walked away. Didn't say a single word to me. I stood there for 5 minutes being treated like I wasn't even there. I turned right out and left. It took them 2.5 hours to do my nails, the lady who helped me wad on her phone face timing her mom... and when my nails where done they where horrible! I asked for them to be thin and look more natural. But they where super thick and horrible. They put the wrong color on my nails that looked pepto pink. I will never be going back. read more

Queen Nails is the best nail salon around- no question. I have been going here for 15 years, and nowhere else compares. I live in Greenlake, and still drive out to Renton specifically for Queen's. I've tried other places when I'm desperate and need something quick, but I always leave wishing I had just made the trip to go here. The owner, Kim, and her daughter Hang care about their customers' experience and satisfaction with their service. If you are not 100% happy, they will do whatever is necessary to accommodate you. All of their nail techs are expert polishers and really take the time to trim, scrub and massage your nails to perfection. Their shellac work is on point, and I guarantee you've never had a foot/leg massage this extensive for just $23. Extra perk: the salon was just redone with all new chairs, flooring, tables, and decor! read more

Worst experience of my life. I came in just to get my my dip powder removed from my nails and have them shaped. She didn't appear to know what dip powder was and kept insisting that I had shellac. Finally, she accepted that it was not shellac. Then she said "oh, acrylic!" and them proceeded to rip off most of my fingernails. I kept telling her that no, they're not acrylic, and you're ripping my actual nails. She continued. One of my fingers started to bleed a little, and I told her it hurt and that she was tearing off my nail, but she just laughed. read more

This place does excellent manicures and pedicures. They pay very close attention to detail so your nails always end up looking fabulous.

Horrible customer service!!! Had a gel manicure and 3 days later 3 nails had peeled completely off. Went back to ask for a fix, was told to wait. No problem waiting but then was completely ignored as she helped 2 other clients before me. Will never go back, why spend 40 bucks on a gel manicure that lasts less than 3 days and then no common courtesy to help resolve the problem!! read more

Would give 0 stars if I could. I went in today as I had about 45 min available and wanted my toes done. After about 5 minutes I got a chair and I was happy. 35 minutes go by and not one person spoke to me so I left. I get that sometimes places are busy but dont have my feet prune up and just have someone sit there without a word. Say, it will just be 5 more minutes or something. When living in Utah, I had a close friend who was an amazing esthetician. I was spoiled! Free eyebrow waxes, cheap mani & pedis, and all the girly gossip that comes between two close friends. Since moving back to Washington state I have been less prone to pamper myself just because I miss everything that came with that dear friend of mine. However, I came here on a spur of the moment decision to make myself just a wee bit more girly and pretty for an upcoming event. This place was ~busy~, but I happily chose my nail color and waited for my full set and pedicure. The girl who did the set was great -- made sure to ask me questions about what I wanted and double checked to make sure I was happy with what I had. Greatly appreciated considering I have experienced nail techs who only seem to want to get you out of there as fast as possible and not bother asking what you want. My pedicure was nice -- massages are always a welcome thing in my life, though the lady seemed more interested in my left leg than my right. My new favorite pedicure place. I have been here five times over the past few months, and each time I have gone have left happy. The pedicurists are meticulous and skimp on nothing - from soaking time to cuticle time. The staff is warm and friendly, and many of the patrons seem to be regulars. I would suggest allotting 45 minutes for the actual pedicure, plus another 15-30 for the wait, depending on time of day (mornings, unsurprisingly, are less busy). Bring your smartphone, a book, or a friend - the wait may be a pain but the experience is worth it. read more

good pedicure for $20! the girl i had seemed really inexperienced - she took over an hour, which was fine - but she didn't want to cut my toenails with the nail clipper, she just wanted to file them. i told her i wanted my nails short but she was really hesitant. in the end she gave me a nice long leg massage and i left happy. i clipped my nails when i got home. read more

Sad. Normally I'd give a five star review for this place- simply for the 40 minute leg and foot massage alone. It's clean enough, the service is good enough, etc. It's all about the massage here. HOWEVER: don't waste your time booking an appointment. Today marks the second time I have booked an appt and arrived in time only to be told it would be a 'wait'- and I wait, but then the wait gets longer and longer. I had booked today for two mani-pedis for a friend and I. I booked it MONDAY, for Thursday. Today we arrived and were not even told "sorry" or "we'll take you next", we were left to wait and they took walk-ins ahead of us- even though we were now 45 minutes past the time of the appt. So we left and went to LOTUS nails near Uwajimaya in Renton. Whilst the massage was not even close, the service and atmosphere were better, cleaner and the new tubs had disposable liners (love that) and everything was new, clean and fresh. Sad for Queen Nails, but you've lost a customer over this. If someone books, they have priority. read more

Had my fill done here, my normal shop was packed. (Sola nails in burien) My nails were done by a man, I didn't catch his name. Anywho, I do shellac. Shellac colors are very limited here. I picked a color, ( pink) and was told to pick 2 additional colors incase they were out of my original color? Weird. Nails were very lumpy, uneven and jagged on the edges. You sit in a message chair with your feet soaking away in perfectly warmed water reading a magazine and then a wonderful lady treats you to a scrub and message your soon not to forget. The pedicure's here are really good. They take a good 45 minutes on you and give you a really nice leg massage. I recently went there to get my nails done and was very pleased. I've had my nails done at about 5 different places because I can't find a good one. This places did my french tips really good. The man who works there did them. ( i dont know if there is more than one guy working there but Ive only seen him there) He did a great job. Very happy with my nails. read more

I've had good experiences here before, but not today, and unfortunately I won't be back. The owner's (manager's?) daughter and grandson were in the store, and the little boy pretty much screamed the whole time I was there. He's probably about a year and a half or so. And then, voila, he vomited right in front of me. I was up in the pedi chair. I had brought a snack, and it became considerably less appetizing when there was vomit in the vicinity. But mostly, I couldn't believe they just let him stay there and scream like that. (It's not the baby's fault. Sometimes babies scream! But in a business? On and off for an hour?) I told the owner that it wasn't very relaxing to get services while a baby was screaming. The boy's mom got pissed off and told me from the other side of the room I should just leave if I wasn't relaxed. What a great solution! I had intended to stay for a mani-pedi but left after the pedi. The owner told me "She isn't here very much" and "There aren't any customers. You're the only one in here." (It was a slow day and at that point, this was true.) I honestly had to say, "~I'M~ a customer!" I requested a discount because of the situation, and was refused. I omitted the tip and created my own discount. The owner did my pedicure, so it came out of her pocket--I wouldn't have done that to someone else. I usually tip $10 on a $30 mani-pedi because I know the girls don't earn very much. Anyway, there are lots of other salons in the neighborhood. I'm definitely not going to subject myself to that possibility again.They'll probably be glad not to see me again, and vice versa. read more

Popular as long as I can remember -- probably because they are right by the Super Safeway. They give an adequate pedicure, though their massage chairs are never working. Pedicures are WONDERFUL here! You get a foot/leg massage for 15-20 minutes! I go here just for the pedicures. The acrylic nail services are not top notch though. On more than one occasion, there has only been one technician to do acrylics and I had to wait almost 20 minutes after my pedicure to start my nail enhancements. She cut my friend and laughed while taking her polish off. She polished my nails bulky and thick. She wouldn't stop adding coats! 2-3 was enough! She did like 5, while my friend got 2. My shape is horrible, everything was rushed and they charged me for a "cut down" and fix, yet my nail is STILL cracked. Do NOT come here!!! read more

The best thing about getting a pedicure here (aside from great look toes and feet) is the leg/foot massage. The pedicurist seems to lose track of time and just keeps going and going. Often though, they spend tons of time on one leg, and the other leg gets short changed! Always pleased with my mani and/or pedi. They are very neat and my polish stays on my toe nails for weeks! I sometimes wonder though how thoroughly they sanitize their tools/foot tub. read more

I went here because my normal salon in Newcastle was booked for the day, but now I wish I would've just waited and gone there! I went here for a shellac manicure, the lady who did my manicure cut too much of my cuticle on 3 different fingers and made me bleed...she apologized so I let it go. The shellac is really uneven and thick in spots. Then after she was finished, she put all of the tools she used INCLUDING the ones I bled on, back into her drawer without sanitizing any of them!! Went here instead of my usual place (Polished Nails in Newcastle) for a pedicure because I went with someone else who wanted to go there. Quality was fine and nails look great but what really turned me off was the customer service. I asked for a flower and she asked if I wanted a gem. I asked for only a yellow gem in the middle, she proceeded to tell me no that it would not look good. So I asked for a red gem, after placing the red gem she started putting blue gems around it. I asked her to please not put gems around, just polish. She then told me it would not look good and started to engage in an argument. I let it go and just did whatever she wanted but will not be returning. read more

I come in here for a pedicure only. They do a wonderful job at pedis and it does not matter who does it for you, they are all amazing. They take their time and give you wonderful massages. After all the places I have been to in this area, I will only go here to get a pedicure. The prices are reasonable and they are very friendly. They can get busy but the wait is never more than 5 minutes. It is well worth the $20 and the wonderful massaging experience. Would totally recommend it! read more

I've been going here for a couple years to get the polish changed on my toes and the price on the board used to say $5-8 for polish change and I was usually charged $6 to cut my nails and polish them. Today I went and the lady did a quick cut of my nails and one coat of polish and charged me $10.99! When I asked her if prices had gone up, she said "No, it's $7 to change the polish and $3 to cut the nails." I was outraged! I will never go back there. read more

I would not recommend this business to anyone. Long story short....made appointment for 4:00 PM and didn't finish till 6:37 PM. They quoted one price on the phone and then charged more, without disclosing that the service they gave us would cost more. Used a dirty towel with someone else's nail clippings stuck to it on my daughter.
