I can't speak to standard mani/pedis but I would beware if you are coming here for acrylics specifically. We just paid over $100 for acrylics for our daughter and they started falling off five days later. By the time it had been one full week, 3 nails had fallen off. We called to see what can be done since acrylics should definitely last longer than 5 days and they won't do anything. They said since it's over 3 days, they won't do anything for us. When you spend that kind of money on a set of acrylics and take care of them, you expect them to last longer than that. I would think twice about coming here for acrylics unless you're okay with them possibly only staying on for a few days. read more

There is a male worker here who is the worst. He did a poor job on my nails, they looked grown out after 1 day. He never goes to the bottom of my nail. I went in 2 days later to get them fixed and he said they were too grown out. How is that even possible?? He criticized my nails, called them yellow and made me feel self conscious. The nails were okay but the people werent. I got a pedicure and my partner got a pedicure and manicure done. She's Vietnamese born and raised there she usually doesn't speak Vietnamese so on this occasion when they were doing her nails she heard them saying things like "oh, she must not understand cause her mom probably doesn't speak any viet" (keep in mind nothing was ever mention of her race or family). And then they proceeded to say that her face was ugly cause they didn't think she could understand them. Terrible vibe. Horrible words? My right foot has a plantar wart, which makes me really hurt these days but after the pedicure I feel much much better and one of the employees also sent a suggestion of clinic to treat that. 3 of us had an appointment at 9:45 am. When we arrived only 2 employees were there. One of us had to wait 45 minutes before another employee showed up. By this time, the first 2 were almost done. If you can't accommodate the reservation, don't accept it. All in all we were there 1 hour 45 minutes. They didn't offer a discount to the one that had to wait for 45 minutes, one of us came home with bloody scrapes on the heel (that wasn't mentioned at the salon by the employee when it happened), the massage was weak and was only about 3 minutes, and employees were rude when confronted with their issues. Nobody is nice or polite, they literally don't talk to you the first time they did a good job second time they didn't do the color or shape I wanted. I went into Haven nails with an appointment at 4:00pm. I got seated at 5:20, over an hour later. Not a single person apologized or said thank you for waiting. Furthermore, I specified in my appointment request that I wanted a particular nail artist, but that request was not honored either. This has never happened to me before at any other nail salon. When I have an appointment, I am seated within several minutes of the appointment, even if the person is working with someone else. There were walk-ins who did not have appointments that the staff took BEFORE ME. This whole time I thought I was waiting for the particular nail artist, but he ended up taking someone else!!! I understand wanting to be kind to all customers but I made an appointment for a reason and if you cannot honor reservations then don't accept them. I emailed their manager very kindly stating that I normally really like their work but the customer service this time prevented me from being a returning customer. I never got a response back. They did a terrible job on my nails I gave them a reference photo and they said they could do it but when it came to put charms they didn't have any that i wanted so I was okay with it, towards the end it was such a mess I was already there for 3 hours I had things of my own to do I was being honest and respectful through our interaction but towards the 3 hour mark I told them it looked okay and left (I paid 100) I was gonna come in the next day so they could fix it but they were closed so I came in on Wednesday as soon as I walked in the lady who did my nails greeted me and asked what I wanted I told her I just wanted her to fix my nails because they look "funny looking" but she was working on a lady so I had to come back later I did and got on the chair with the same lady who did my nails I asked if she can fix them because through our interaction I kept telling her I didn't like my nails but I still paid because I was telling myself they were decent, she got nervous and was yabbing about idk what so I asked if she can do my nails again how I want it. free of charge something really simple she said no that it was gonna cost 145 so then I asked nicely for a full refund so I can take my money to someone who can fix my nails and give me what I want she said no again and was irritated and raised her voice at me and again yabbing about idk what something about store policy and saying it was my fault for speaking up (i did) I kept calm with her idk how but I did so I asked again but for a half refund she said 40 was the most. When I heard 40 that's when I started getting irritated with her and she was saying that they were scared of me because she kept going back and forth with me and her coworker , so I pushed it with them to give me 50 because it just ten dollars more they didnt want to and I had to beg them for my money back‍ they eventually did give me my 50 don't go to them they are stingy with money they also us MMA which is bad and illegal here in the United States I only know because I when I went to a professional nail tech they told me they used MMA on my nails when she was doing a soak off which is illegal and can get there place shut down read more

Very painful experience. The lady did my pedicure kept on turning her head away and talking to other ladies. She poked me several times with sharp tools and burn me really badly with the hot stone all because she was busy talking. I am hoping whoever cutting my cuticles will pay more attention to what they are doing. The massage she gave was also very mediocre. I've tried almost every nail salon in Renton (over the last 15 years) and by far, this is my favorite salon. They've been consistently good each and every time! I get the signature pedicure and shellac manicure so I can't speak to anything else. The technicians take their time and do not rush, no matter how busy. The polish selection could be better, but they just recently added a new line of beautiful, fun colors. The staff is very friendly and they truly value my business! The salon is clean and the spa pedicure chairs are fairly new. I'd highly recommend giving Haven Nails a try- you'll be a customer for life! read more

I have been a faithful customer for 10+ years to Time For Nails 2. Now called HAVEN Nails & Spa. I have always liked that they happily accept Walk-Ins and their friendly customer service. It has sadly changed and it's not quite what it used to be. The employees are not as talkative and and as friendly as they once were. Today, September 21st, 2018 I walked in expecting to maybe wait a couple minutes before someone could take me back to the wax room to do my eyebrows NOT today! There was only one customer in their having her nails done. They asked me to come back in a hour. I asked why? There was only one customer in the shop and two employees. One employee to each customer was reasonable or so I thought. The lady said she was the only one there that could wax. So much for "Walk-Ins welcome". My daughter told the technician what she wanted and the technician never said a word about any up charges or anything and waited until it was time to pay. Then told me charge was $90 for four different items long nails, and three other items, these were plain nails no extra accoutrements added. I've been to many nail places over the years, and this is shady. Why not just say $90 the actual price. Or when adding an extra service why not let the person know that there's an extra charge for that. Simple. They must be getting away with this practice or they would not do it. This is under new and terrible management and nail professionals. My Mom and Dad had been going to the old Haven Nails. They loved them. They went twice to this now new management shop and will never go back. They had the 11:00 am appointment for 2 manicures. They waited and 2 more customers came in, and the salon took these 2 ladies first. My Mom and Dad still waited, they had the 11:00 am appointment and was not seen till 11:45. Then they had cold water to stick their feet in. On top of this, they cut my Mom's cuticles and made them bleed. When she mentioned this they just put her feet back into the cold water. They cut my Dad's toe nails super short and gave him a hangnail. They were then overcharged. Please read these ratings, the 5 star ratings are from the old Haven Nails. Watch the dates, any dates after June and July 2021 are from the new terrible management. Don't waste your time or money with this new management. read more

My mails re not smoothly filed, uneven and I ended up with a nick and the nail polish came off two hours after my visit. Update, I arrived for a pedicure, was quoted 16 minutes, waited close to 30 plus minutes. They thanked me for waiting, then for started. The pedicure was ok, I felt a bit rushed. Had to ask for the razor on my feet and heels, I pretty much had to coach the whole pedicure. My toenails were uneven. My shoe was doused with water so I stepped my foot in that and wasn't too happy. Had to beg them go wipe it out and it seemed like they had an attitude or problem and didn't even apologize for my shoe being cold and wet. I've been here once and it was fine. Just as you'd expect for a strip mall nail salon. They did a good job on my pedicure. The reason I've only been here once is the 4 other times I've tried there has been at least a 30 min wait. And they didn't even seem that busy. I understand that's the risk you take with waking in but there are soooooo many other salons within a 2 mile radius. They can get you in within 15 mins (20 tops) and their service is just as good.
