While the food is 8/10, everything else is horrible. The establishment is dusty and dirty and the workers act real funny. My friends and I asked for a table and we were pointed to sit wherever, so we did. It was my first time but my friends had been in the past and said they did serve tables like other restaurants, at no point did any employee say we had to get up to the counter to order. And I did see a girl serving the two tables that were already there. We waited almost 30 minutes before I had to stand up to ask if I had to order at the counter and the guy with nail polish finally said yes (he was the only decent one who was actually working). Mind you, the whole time we sat at the table the raggedy girl employee with an easy e wig and crusty pink crocs was staring at us from her phone periodically and never helped us even tho she helped the other tables. As soon as we ordered at the counter and sat back down, other people came in and she came from behind the counter and was waiting on them like no tomorrow, walked up to them and didn't make them wait at all. We got our food, which looks exactly like the pictures, and not once did anybody check on us or anything. Again, the girl was serving the other tables without a problem. I definitely did not tip (I paid $32 for a cup of grits, 6 chicken wings, and 1 waffle- cut in 4) and I definitely will never go there again, the food's not worth all that. Great food, not much seating or best option for parties bigger than 2-3 and there was no coffee available when I went for a vague reason. There is Hard to find parking and they have mobile orders that are pushed out fast. Dine in was okay experience but god damn was the food good. Best fried chicken and the chicken sandwich was massive. Fries were great too. Honey biscuits were great they have high quality bacon used in everything. Will mobile order next time. read more

The Queens Delight in Bridgeport was absolutely delicious! We were in Bridgeport on Friday and decided to try it after reading great reviews. They did a lot of take-out while we were there, and we had to wait about 30 minutes for our food, but definitely worth the wait. We ate in their small, clean, dining area. Ordered one Royalty with fries and one Queen's Supreme with onion rings. Presented beautifully, and the chicken was moist and flavorful. The unique dessert choices looked awesome, so we took two to go! One Key Lime cake and one Banana cake. Obviously home made because they were really delicious too! You won't be disappointed if you are looking for an authentic chicken sandwich! Will definitely be back to try their other specialties (fried shrimp/ fish sandwich). Food was so on point and if someone says any different they're trying to get something for free lol. I'm just being honest. I'm from Bridgeport but I don't live here any longer and I've heard so many things about this food from across the states, I was so eager to try it. I almost missed my shot until I found it she extended the restaurant hours from 3 to 7. My entree ran me $35 but was worth every penny. Everything was prepared so well and the presentation was so pretty. Food wasn't salty, nor greasy but was extremely fresh and filling. Can't wait to return. Food gets 10 stars from me. read more

This place is a delight! The food was wonderful, I got a waffle combo and the waffle was perfectly crisp like I like it. My sister in law got French toast with boneless chicken and the chicken was precisely seasoned and moist. It appears the restaurant is pork free, but nothing was missing in my opinion. I also loved the family run atmosphere. The service was friendly and attentive. There isn't a clear marking or sign, unless I missed it, but it's worth finding. read more

The online orders was turned off; picked up but hung up with sayung anything when tried to call and when we went there said 45 min wait for takeaway which we said was too long we would miss our ferry. Could have picked up the phone or had an answering machine to say its too busy dont come. Travelling from Europe, did a detour to go there so was a waste of time we did not appreciate. Great food. So far I loved everything I tried. The waffles are always soft and delicious. The chicken is always perfectly cooked and goes so good with the saucy sauce. Made a reservation 5 days ago via Google Resy. Reservation was confirmed. Received multiple email reminders. Arrive for reservation and rude staff member pulls out crumpled poece of paper and says we're not on it and won't seat us. Show her the email confirmation and she responds "Oh we don't take those you have to call us." So why allow the confirmation to begin with?? Poor service. read more

Went for brunch on a Friday. Wasn't sure if we were to seat ourselves or order at the counter for dine it. We noticed that people arriving after us were sitting at open tables, so we did the same. Each table has a QR code to scan the menu, then you walk to the counter to order. This seems counterproductive. Once the QR code is scanned, you should be able to view the menu, place the order, and pay at on the website with the order being linked back to your table number. Having to wait on line to order at the counter adds to the wait time referenced in other reviews. Nonetheless, the food was really good! I had the red velvet waffle and chicken. The batter used was different from my normal fried chicken experiences when dining out. The batter provided a crunch that seemed more like fish fry, but didn't detract from the taste. The waffle was perfect! I always judge a waffle by how much syrup I need to use and on this day zero syrup was required. I plan to visit again to try the shrimp and grits. The location is small, but cute and the music makes the time fly by. For those who want to forgo the wait, the option for takeout is available. read more

absolutely delicious....that's all. We took our family that was visiting from South Carolina for a late Breakfast. The owner allowed me to make a reservation due to the size of our party. The food, atmosphere and staff was awesome. Portions were nice and prices were affordable. Only two cons....parking and waitress put creamer in our coffee without asking. The food here & the atmosphere was such a pleasant experience aside from the employees not wearing gloves . I was sitting right by where you can kind of see the employees making your food and a a worker grabbed the chicken with no gloves on to plate the food and i was instantly turned off. It sucks because the food is too fire for the employees to not care about the health violations they caused. Aside from that getting our food was super slow !!! sooo, stopped by on one Sunday after church. Just wanted a quick bite, and all the tables were full so I got some wings to go. The place was clean and bright, the staff was friendly. However, the wings were disappointing. They tasted like they were well marinated, but otherwise were unseasoned. And then there was that aftertaste that meant that they might have been fried in fish grease. I'll try again another day, I would really love this place to make it. read more

The best fried shrimp and grits! For the price I felt it was well worth it. You get 3 pieces of fish, grits and a biscuit! My only issue was the lemonade which is good but should not cost $5.00. I still give it 5 stars and will visit again just won't buy the lemonade. read more

A friend and I came from new Haven(25 mins away) to try this place. Small establishment but cute. Staff was friendly. Food was coming out rather fast looked amazing. We waited 45 mins for a table. The waitress finally sat us. She took another 20 mins to take our order. Let me also state I understand how a busy establishment works so that was fine that's not my complaint. The waitress comes over and I place an order for red velvet waffles she states they ran out of batter and the owner is making more, I asked well how long we drove up here for that specifically. She goes to ask the owner and she comes back and says oh she's not making anymore... To say the very least I was disappointed and annoyed. While we waited in line for 45 min to be seated why didn't you take our order or see if what we waited you still had or wasn't making anymore of. There's so many to go orders either by walk in or phone they tend to forget about the people in line already there waiting to place an order.
