This location is next to the Fairfield Black Rock Metro North station. The inside feels cozy with warm lighting. It's a nice place to work, study or meet with friends. I truly enjoy the freshly baked pastries - the plain and chocolate croissants, the savory , cheeese danish and the pretzels. The coffee is good too. The owners are very sweet and friendly. They hosted an event at my apartment community. Soon they may have live jazz music events. I'm looking forward to that. read more

The owner and his server both are friendly and accommodating. My issue is with the ill-fitting lid on the cup of coffee - the large cup. It comes off constantly. It's a hazard taking it on the train. Quick coffee break in between commuting and a community event. They had a pretty big selection. it was better than a deli yet more modern than a diner. I was greeted and everyone was nice. They have a bathroom, outdoor seating, a beautifully styled lounge are and other seating options. This is a very convenient location next to the metro north. They have a parking lot too, oh and lets not forget when weather permits a nice outdoor space too. The vibes were truly welcoming I almost forgot to mention the food. Wow! Didn't expect this when I walked in. Usually coffee spots at train stations are like truck stop gas stations, convenient and nothing special. Wake Up Coffee however is the real deal. Smooth jazz music in a bright and spacious room with plenty of seats. A good place to grab some locally roasted coffee, to get some work done, or just to hang out for some good conversation. They have food on the menu as well, and I think I found another spot to visit again. read more

I found this place after an event in Fairfield, doing some research through Yelp. The place is definitely cute. The coffee and food was good. I ordered a bacon egg and cheese and my friend ordered avocado toast. The staff was friendly. I really did enjoy the different instruments on the wall that were red and the different types of pictures that were there. The only issue we had is that we had to drive around the block several times to find parking because the parking in front of the building is small. There seems to be parking in the area, but it's either paid parking or it's not clear where or where you can't park. So be very careful when you do attempt to park in the area if you can't get in front of the building. read more

I ordered my standard go to when I am not quite sure what to order - Iced mocha. Apparently there iced mocha if I remember correctly is made with nutella. I LOVE Nutella. My husband and I love a french onion soup. This was different in the cheese was not entirely covering the top. While we would have preferred more cheese this soup was excellent. Obviously homemade soup. I loved the grilled pretzel bread with our soup. It was fun and delicious dipping the bread into the soup. This was our second time coming to the cafe. We loved it the first time we were here, and plan to come again. However, my husband and I were disappointed by the service we received. 1) our barista forgot a pastry that we had already paid for, and sold them ahead. By the time we went to pick it up, they said that it was already sold out. 2) they didn't heat up the pastries, and rushed to give it to us. 3) we had asked for water, and didn't get it either. While we would come back again, because we do enjoy the place, we would recommend double checking your order once you make it especially if you have already paid for it. read more

A lot of good things about this neighborhood place. First of all, its super welcoming, with a cool vibe and design. Second, the service is amazing. Friendly, kind, prompt. And third the food and drinks. My 7 year old and I love coming here. Her favorite is Hot Nutella (watch out Hot Chocolate). I love their Mochas. Breakfast sandwiches are delicious, and come on an awesome pretzel bun (my daughter's favorite is bacon, egg and cheese). And their lox sandwich has some of the best smoked salmon I've ever tasted. For those that commute to NYC, it's literally next to the platform, which is super convenient. Great little spot. Beautiful interior, with a fun decor. We had the breakfast sandwiches, bacon egg and cheese, and sausage egg and cheese. I hardly give 5 star reviews but this place really impressed me. On a recent visit to the Porsche dealership in Fairfield, I was hungry enough to look up a coffee place for a sandwich and a cookie and this one came up. I had not heard of this place as it is pretty new, and was surprised to see how big it was. It is kind of tucked in it's own place a bit hidden from the main road. What impressed me the most is the cleanliness of the interior. Everything was so clean that I hesitated to even sit down. Onto the food, as I was hungry I ordered quiet a bit, and a few itmes to-go. The Smoked Salmon sandwich on pretzel bead was simply delicious and the Nutela Cookie was humongous. I also got a Mango Mouse cup and a chocolate cream puff, all of which were delicious. The prices are a bit steep, but given it is Fairfield, be prepared to pay a 20% premium. Highly recomended read more

Outside seating, as well (on Astroturf, but hey). Only demerits are that the coffee isn't world-class (but here it's about so much more than that, and I don't expect gourmet Fairfield pourovers), and that the sexy sax music can be a tiny bit much after awhile. Cancel your breakfast plans and head to Wake Cup Coffee. Tucked next to the NYC-bound train tracks is a cafe that offers exceptional breakfast items, breads and pastries. I got takeout over the summer and the omelettes were cooked and presented perfectly with my requested avocado slices arrayed nicely on top. I returned yesterday and after seeing an online tip, ordered the quesadilla. Wow!! This was the best quesadilla I've ever had. Seriously! The difference is that thin and crispy crepes take the place of tortillas, taking the cheesy dish to new heights. I should note that the quesadilla also has ham so if that's not your thing, let them know. I used to have a go-to breakfast sandwich, but this is my new favorite by far. The iced coffee is great, a nice complement to the quesadilla. I am definitely headed back. I know I want the quesadilla, but next time I want to try their signature pretzel buns, pastries and desserts. Also, the dining area is quite large with lots of tables spread out. When it's warmer, they have outdoor seating. Everyone was very helpful and my order didn't take too long. I recommend a trip to Wake Cup!! I know I will soon be a regular there. read more

We were forced to go in when we missed our train and honestly I'm glad we missed it. This little cafe is spotless! The decor is really cool and the food is great! We have a son with a severe milk allergy and the staff were super helpful in finding stuff he could enjoy (the pretzels are vegan!) I had a bacon egg and cheese on a pretzel bun and it was delicious. A fantastic, family-owned, very cute spot tucked away near the Fairfield train station is a great option for any time of day! My wife and I love stopping here before food shopping at Whole Foods just down the road. The inside is so wonderfully decorated with a modern chic aesthetic, it is so pleasant for enjoying a cup of coffee or tea while you work or just to enjoy a yummy pretzel sandwich. Outside there is a bunch of seating to enjoy the weather. They even bring the food to you wherever you end up sitting. The service has always been stellar and friendly. The food is always super fresh and the flavors are on point!! On the pricier side but completely worth it. I love the smoked salmon pretzel sandwich so much! They have daily combos like half sandwich and soup too. I still want to try their pancakes! I LOVE the mocha latte which is just a Nutella latte. It's subtly sweet and nutty that pairs so well with espresso and a choice of milk. I prefer oat. The perfect late morning/afternoon pick me up.
