I have to say that this cleaner and the former seamstress at Queen Street Cleaners was out of this world. Her skill with a machine, needle and thread is out of this world. She was hemming and taking care of my clothes (and my boys clothes) for years and I am so distraught to hear that she has left!! She always did exactly what I asked her to do and even made suggestions to make it better! The customer service from all who work there has always been fantastic. read more

Got here early to the 'in line' for the seamstress. She welcomed me in the back. She didn't even have me put the dresses on. Just said she can't do it. To be told that she cannot do small alternations on the tops of my Derby dresses with a 6-day turnaround. I called in advance and was told to come in. Less than friendly seamstress, although the owner is lovely. Very disappointed in the treatment. Not professional, just a mean countenance. read more

BUYER BEWARE!!! I took an expensive, brand new blouse, worn once to this establishment for its first cleaning. It was pink colored when I dropped it off... it came back a dirty, off white color. When I confronted the store manager and the store owner they stated that the blouse must have been defective and they bore no responsibility. I have other clothing items from this manufacturer and they are of the highest quality and I have never had a problem having them cleaned. The owner of Queen Street Cleaners would not listen to any discussion to those points and again refused to accept any responsibility. Clearly their policy and practice is to avoid any liability for their shoddy work and to blame the manufacturer for their incompetence. Also be aware that this individual owns dry cleaning establishments in other towns in the area....One Stop Cleaners in Bethel, Danbury and New Fairfield. read more

Let me just state that I have no love for this place! We asked them to launder my partner's tuxedo and tuxedo shirt. They lost the tuxedo shirt which was a Hugo boss. They offered to replace it with something of the value of 30 USD. Are you seriously kidding me?!!! I asked them to then please find the shirt as i would rather NOT have the replacement, and of course they didn't. I would never go back there. But my partner is a much more decent, kind and forgiving fellow, so he still gets his clothes dry cleaned there! I find it most irresponsible of the place that they take no responsibility for the fact that they lost a very expensive designer tuxedo shirt! They could at least give Store credit if they can't replace the shirt, but of course they don't! It's not upto me, but if it were, I would never go bck there. They could at least apologize, but my partner says they did me wrong, and leaves it at that. Some people are just too nice! And places like these instead of showing appreciation just shit and crap all over the nice customers and take shameless full advantage like they are entitled to it!!! read more

The worst dry cleaner ever! They ruined my sons suit and then blamed me for it. Claimed that I ran it through the washing machine and then brought it back in. The suit is burned, ripped and stretched out of shape. They also lost a dress and fought with me over that until I forced them to go through racks where, surprise, surprise I found it! They suck and should not be entrusted with your clothing. read more

Stay away! Rude owner! Overpriced. Quality clearly lacking. Happen to have a $5 off coupon from Newtown Bee and owner refused saying not valid on shirts. Had 1 suit, 12 shirts. ABSOLUTELY NO FINE PRINT ON COUPON. Checked newspaper on return home and again NO RESTRICTIONS. Apparently owner isn't even familiar with his own coupons/policies. Used twice, and both times rude. Witness rudeness to other customers too. Surprised he even has a business treating customers the way he does. Im new to Newtown and will certainly never return. read more

Owners and employees are super rude to customers, they never complete the clothes on time and return them still soiled and stained and are way overpriced. Just took the plastic off a blazer and a button is missing. A few weeks ago I brought my son's shirts in. Got back 2 shirts with broken buttons and one wasn't even dry yet. (The blazer had been brought in before I brought the shirtst in.) Can I give NO stars? Horrible, horrible. read more
