We were here on a special occasion around 8:30pm and it was an exceptionally bad experience. Our server was very nice and the set up inside the restaurant is cool, but that was about all that was good. Drinks were very slow. Food was very slow. All but one food item was cold. All steaks overcooked. Not even close. Salmon overcooked. Not even close No chimichurri for steak. No gravy for chicken and gravy. No green beans. No vegetables. We didn't know any of that ahead of time. When our food arrived, the sauces and sides didn't come out with the food. When they went back to get them, they had no sauces and no vegetables/green beans. The chicken and gravy Father's Day special had no gravy, the steak chimichurri had no chimichurri. No warning from the kitchen and waitress was sent out to tell us. Solution to all of it was to give us a $3 discount on the individual items, the steak and the chicken and gravy. It's hard to explain how exceptionally slow, cold and overcooked the food was. Seemed like one server, one manager and one cook at the restaurant. Wouldn't have written the review if they were even somewhat understanding of how bad things were. The $3 off was incredibly token especially for Father's Day meal where we spent upwards of $500. Just didn't want anyone else having the experience we did. read more

Our bartender both times was John and he had a great knowledge of wine and craft beer. The wine tasting side has a decent size bar, some unique decor and a nice sitting area. Welp the Moroccan cooks left and it's so sad cause the food went from 10 to 3 the steaks were horrible. Tasted like they were cooked on a dirty grill with no flavor. This spot was recommended by a coworker for lunch while we were out in the Kissimmee area. As I'm not too familiar with restaurants out here I was looking forward to trying it out! The restaurant was fairly quiet for the lunch shift. It has an old timey gastropub vibe to it which was a cool touch! The server allowed us to pick where we sat and quickly brought menus for our group. I ultimately ended up on the chuck wag burger as I love caramelized onions on anything! When the food came out it was nice and hot, but I felt like there was something missing with the flavor. My burger I think needed to be seasoned as it didn't really taste like anything without ensuring I had onion in my bite. The fries were seasoned and very crispy which I loved! We stopped in for dinner Bryan and Gina took care of us and they were great. We started with the wings: garlic parm and buffalo. I'm super picky about having my wings cooked enough and these were nice and smoky. Like twice baked, not fried? I had the filet and he had the sirloin. Both had a lot of flavor and were cooked just right. The Broadway strip in Historic Kissimmee has gone downhill since we were there last, but 1881 was definitely a delicious bright spot. read more

I decided to take some friends after church Sunday, it was 6 of us. I us we arrived too early and they were not ready for guests. I ordered ribeye steak medium, it arrived with no pink in the middle. I was told by the waitress they had seasonal vegetables and asparagus. I ordered asparagus and received string bean on my plate. I dare not send my plate back. Wings were very dry. We had to request eating utensils after we received our food. Our food was fair. We are new to the community and I was planning to have my birthday dinner there because the ambiance is really nice. We ordered the Caesar salads which were good, chicken was a bit dry for me... and tooo many croutons I ordered the lamb kabob with the Roasted potatoes My husband ordered the strip steak, and an order of lamb chops ... Everything came out on one platter/ which was kinda awkward ( we only had bread plates to eat off of ) His steak that came out was Done... he had ordered medium Rare... his order of lamb chops which were ordered as medium Rare were "Done" My lamb kabob was ordered medium Rare and was on the cusp of well done... We had reservations for six people at the restaurant for 7:30pm and were seated in the bar area for some reason and not the dining area we expected. At the beginning of the evening it was fine, though we didn't get the restaurant experience we were hoping for; but as the evening went on the noise from the outside area and bar made peaceful dining and conversation impossible. Our server was wonderful, and afterwards I realized why we didn't see her that much; there was a whole dining area behind us that she was serving as well. The food came out hot and was very good! Unfortunately the placement of where we were placed for our meal minimized the whole experience. The food was very good but you don't get a second chance at making a first impression. The whole place seemed a bit disjointed. The bar area also led into a wine bar that closed while we were eating, and then the dining area which was somewhere behind the bar out of sight. I was looking for good American food in the area to celebrate my birthday so I stopped in. When I entered, the staff was inattentive and sitting. Since it was my birthday, i wanted an adult beverage. I was told that brand i wanted was out of stock. I suggested something else to be told, yet again, that they are out of stock. I settled on something I didn't even want because my choices were limited. I ordered the Fish and Chips. When it arrived to my seat, it looked like everything was fried in week old oil. The fries, as well as the fish were black and greasy. Not very flavorful unless you count grease as flavor. I had to retrieve my own napkins and wait quite a while for ketchup. (They werent busy). My server did not even check to see if I needed anything while I dined. She took my plate and tossed me the bill. No interaction with me at all. The outdoor ambiance is very pretty which is what drew me in and the price wasn't bad for the amount of food you get, but the quality could be better. With a name like 1881, you would think the food and service would be top notch, but I got dive bar treatment. (The fish and chips are better in dive bars, and they have more drink choices by the way). read more

Probably the worst service I've ever received. The bar tender assigned to my private party was rude, only checked on the adults ordering alcohol never once refilled the non alcoholic drinks. My son had to go find someone to refill those a few times. Totally unprofessional. And booking the venue? A joke. Three weeks to get communication from the owners daughter who is in charge of the venue. Not recommended. And it's sad the venue itself was perfect! The rest of the staff I dealt with was pleasant and helpful as much as they could be. The kitchen staff even apologized at the end of my event for the poor service. read more

It was our first time dining at 1881 and we are so glad we decided to eat there! I loved how they named different dishes after parts of Kissimmee and some of the people that were an integral part of growing Kissimmee to what is today. As a local it brought back a lot of memories. It is located in an old historic hardware store that finally closed after over 100 years in business. Now to the important part! The food! We had the Kowboy Jake (named after the local high school's mascot) 12 oz Strip Steak. It was absolutely delicious and cooked exactly as ordered. We thought the quality and size of the steak was outstanding for the price that was charged. They had several different sides to choose from which were also pretty good. So happy I stumbled across this place while exploring downtown. Josh and Jen were amazing bartenders and made some great drinks, definitely recommend the smoke old fashion and loved they have lots of passion fruit drinks I could order as well. I was surprised at the middle Eastern and Asian fusion food list they had. Ordered the fresh bread, borscht soup and pelmeni beef dumplings which were so flavorful. Great addition to the downtown food scene. They had lots of indoor and outdoor seating and parking wasn't too bad since there is free street parking close by. I went to this restaurant last night to celebrate a friends birthday. This turned out to be such a wonderful place to celebrate. The restaurant was pretty empty because it's fairly new and I don't think a lot of people know about it yet, but this meant that we had the pick of our seating, we snagged, a raised platform filled with cushions. We took off her shoes and sat crisscross applesauce. This was already fun. Restaurant is decorated beautifully and transports you to a different country all together. Uzbekistan to be precise. I never had Uzbecki food before and this was delicious. We started off with some pastry filled with chopped beef served with a tomato sauce. These were very delicious and the pastry was very flaky. We then got the mixed grill for two and some rice pilaf along with some potatoes, this was a feast and more than enough food for the three of us. We ended with some desserts. One of them was a meringue roll, filled with pastry cream, and the other was a chocolate cake cup out of the to the meringue roll was my favorite, it was light and airy and melted in your mouth, the service was top-notch as well. Our waiter was very pleasant and helpful. Everyone at the restaurant was pleasant and welcoming. We really enjoyed this dining experience from the decor to the delicious food to the wonderful service. This was perfect. The restaurant also looks to be very huge with an outdoor portion as well that we did not get to explore. They'll definitely be a next time. read more

Double check the gratuity they add. We were charged a $48 tip on a $138 bill. Which seems unusually high

The atmosphere is great, however the service and food quality are terrible. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon which was not busy, maybe 4 tables total. The sign said please seat yourself, so we selected a table at the front. Around 15 minutes later an employee noticed us and found our server. We ordered one of our steaks well done, both steaks were undercooked so we sent one back. The cook himself brought the well done steak to the table and apologized for it being undercooked. That steak was also undercooked (medium to medium rare). 10 minutes later our server returned and we were able to send it back a second time. The next steak was cooked properly, but neither had much flavor with almost no seasoning. The mashed potatoes were consistent with instant, but tasted fine and the house salads were good. I had asked the server for another drink when he returned the 3rd steak, but he never returned to the table. 30 minutes later we had to go to the bar to ask if our server could bring the bill. Our server still never returned, but the assistant manager did give us a 20% discount for our inconvenience. They did attempt to make things right and we were appreciative throughout, but they just don't seem to have the basics down for us to return. read more

Went to 1881 today for lunch. What a great find in downtown Kissimmee! The food is an eclectic mixture of Mediterranean and Eastern European. We were seated very quickly by our server/bartender Josh, who made delicious recommendations. It is such a pleasure to have a server who is familiar with his menu. After splitting starters of samsa (a flaky pastry filled with lamb and spices) and chiburek (almost like an empanada filled with beef, onions and spices) I had a chicken kebab and a vegetable kebab, while hubby had lamb kebab. The kebabs were served with pickled onions and fries. Everything was well prepared and delicious. My only regret was I didn't take pictures, but I do have enough leftovers for dinner. What an amazing lunch at 1881 while visiting Orlando and Kissimmee from the West coast of Florida. This place is beautiful and has different areas, more traditional Uzbek , other one is with the bar, the patio area was simply gorgeous. The service was on point and very friendly, met one of the owners -he was lovely to chat with, the food was soooo good . Lagman (noodles w beef, veggies in a rich broth) was flavorful and delicious, as Manti (traditional Uzbek large dumplings or soup buns with beef, onions, broth inside), served w sour cream and spicy Adjika on the side. My brother and I have come here twice via the Sunrail- highly recommend because the restaurant is on the same block as the Sunrail station. Both times we've been blown away by the food. Unfortunately didn't take many photos the first time, but their steaks are all incredible. They have a MASSIVE indoor/outdoor bar with cigars available, if you just want to hang out and get drinks. Also the Friday fish fry deal is a huge amount of food for $18. The side items are all giant, and fantastic. There needs to be more photos of their food on Yelp! read more

Had lunch here last week and the food was disappointing. Wings were okay - pre-cooked and reheated since they arrived at the table five minutes after we ordered. Fries were cold. Halved tomatoes on salad were slimy and wrinkly. Best thing about the chicken Caesar wrap was the grilled tortilla. I do not recommend this place. The service was adequate. read more
