I called ahead specifically to ask if they perform wisdom tooth extractions, and they said yes. It was a complete waste of time and money. 1. Outdated Equipment: Their X-ray machine is ancient. The sensor kept falling out of my mouth, and they ended up taking a Full Mouth Series (FMS) of small individual shots instead of a proper Panoramic X-ray needed for wisdom teeth. When I went to the specialist they referred me to, those X-rays were useless, and I had to pay for new ones. 2. Questionable/Lazy Medical Advice: I have two lower wisdom teeth that are growing horizontally, literally pushing into my adjacent teeth. Any decent dentist knows this causes long-term damage, yet the dentist here claimed they "don't need to be pulled." It felt like he just didn't want to deal with the procedure. 3. The "Bait-and-Switch": For my upper wisdom tooth, he suddenly claimed they don't perform extractions there and referred me out. Why tell me you do extractions over the phone, charge me $120 for a consultation and bad X-rays, only to tell me you can't help me once I'm in the chair? 4. Poor Service: Getting my own digital records was a struggle. I had to call multiple times just to get the images I paid for. They are clearly more interested in collecting consultation and X-ray fees than actually helping patients. If you need honest dental work and modern technology, stay far away from this office.

His consultation is a rush job it is always about 15 minutes in and out of his office. Any Orthodontic Dentist or Doctor would take their time and listen to your concerns and not rush you out. I'm Vietnamese and I know most Asians are about financial gain and not about health. We took the dentures to another Orthodontic Implant specialist and were told that the dentures were not aligned properly my Mom was in pain due to being poorly made. It is about quality, not quantity. Your health should be more important than someone who is trying to make a profit.

I very much appreciate Dr. Kim's detailed dental check since my teeth have been sensitive on one side. Previously, Dr. Kwon suggested that I would need a root canal and crown sooner or later, so I was so glad to know that I didn't need to have any special treatment done this time and that I just needed to brush lighter and with a softer brush. Dr. Kim is also very caring and observant of issues and needs I may have. The dental hygienist Esther also did a great job cleaning my teeth. She has been cleaning my teeth for a couple years now. She friendly, gentle, and patient. The receptionist was friendly as well. She booked my next biannual cleaning rig HR when I checked in. They can be hard to book sometimes, so booking in advance helps a lot. Got a goodie bag with a toothbrush and toothpaste after my cleaning. Glad they had toothpaste for sensitive teeth available.

I used to see Dr. Castellanos when I was a kid with my mom, roughly between the ages of…read more12-15(2004-2007). Now as an adult I've realized how horrendous of a doctor he was. Our family eventually stopped seeing him after 3 years of being under his care. We went to him because it was hard to find doctors who spoke Spanish in our area at the time. I'll start with the worst. My mom used to be really concerned for her health. Over time we realized her concerns were signs of what she's now developed, diverticulitis and other digestive issues. She often came in with pain and explained her concerns. Dr. Castellanos would tell my mom that she was fine and to take ibuprofen. Any time she came in it was the same thing even though her symptoms progressed - continue to take ibuprofen. Eventually she told my mom she was too worried and was a bother. We finally stopped going to see him when she used the restroom and found blood in her stool. She developed ulcers in her throat and stomach that were very painful when eating. After we stopped going to see him we found out all of her symptoms were the beginning of diverticulitis. In 2009 she ended up going to the ER because she was heavily bleeding when she used the bathroom. A diverticula had burst open and it was discovered she has 3 total that had developed. She was taken to emergency surgery. She's suffered through diverticulitis ever since with multiple ER visits. Dr. Castellanos was negligent as a doctor when presented with symptoms. He could have referred her to a gastroenterologist but never did. We had HMO at the time and eventually switched to PPO but it was after dealing with him. For my own case, I developed gastro issues around 12 and realized I had sensitivity to certain foods that lead to a lot of gas and odd noises in my intestines. I felt shy about it as a kid but was worried because I didn't want to sit in class having those noises come from my intestines because well... it was awkward. My side of the classroom could hear my gas issues and I didn't understand what was causing it. When I told him he blew me off and told me to eat more fiber. I didn't bother more about it or ask because I was too ashamed to ask more. Years later I realized I had food sensitivities and that I need to be careful to avoid dairy. All of this to say - I would absolutely NEVER recommend anyone to see Dr Castallanos. My mom could have sued him for negligence but decided not to. Seeing him still in practice now and talking to family about health made me 20 years later have to go back to write this.

During first visit, my daughter and I waited more than two hours for my initial assessment. After the appointment, I was given paperwork that should have been completed beforehand, causing even more unnecessary delay. At my third visit today, I called ahead to ask whether I could still be seen if I was about 10 minutes late. Unfortunately, I arrived approximately 13 minutes late because it took much longer than expected to find parking. I respectfully asked whether there was any way I could still be seen, especially considering the unusually long wait I experienced during my first visit. However, I was immediately told "no." Only after I repeatedly asked for help was I offered an appointment three hours later. Veronica was rude, dismissive, and seemed to have complete control over patients' time without making any effort to help. I then spoke with another front desk, who was able to offer me an appointment from same system with 1.5 hours wait. This showed that there were options available. I understand that the clinic has a policy of canceling appointments if a patient is more than 10 minutes late, and I respect the need for policies. However, I felt there was very little effort to assist me or explore any possible solutions. A little kindness, flexibility, and willingness to help would have made a significant difference. Instead, I was met with repeated, blunt refusals that left me feeling dismissed rather than cared for. I was so upset by the experience that I asked to cancel my next five appointments. While I was still speaking, Veronica canceled them immediately without showing any concern. The receptionist's attitude caused me stress and frustration. After I left, I happened to look through the window and saw her suddenly laughing, which I found extremely unprofessional given how upset I had just been. Thankfully, another staff member was able to accommodate me much sooner. I don't understand why Veronica was given the authority to treat patients this way. She never attempted to help, show empathy, or offer any reasonable solution. I hope this feedback encourages a review of how patients are treated at the front desk, because every patient deserves to be treated with respect, kindness, and compassion.

Had she understood what her computer read, she would see I have met my individual deductible. She wanted me to pay what left of the family deductible. So she told me I need to pay $140 plus whatever services are rendered. That was upfront! I hadn't even seen the doctor yet. I knew I I wasn't responsible to pay for the office visit in full. As soon as I got in the car I called Blue Cross who told me that I was right. They put me on hold and called her and explained to her how it worked and that she should not have asked up front and taught her what she should have done. I did not return as I did not trust this office anymore. So please make sure you speak to your insurance company first and ask reception at the office to check:understand your insurance benefits BEFORE you drive all the way down there.

It had been years since I had visited this place. Unfortunately, due to financial struggles, I was forced to look for care else wear. Let me just say.... big mistake. The old place I visited for my dental work did a horrible job with my teeth. The fillings in my teeth kept breaking apart after only a few hours of having them in place. I decided to pay a visit to this place again to see if they could fix the damage that had been done. Not only did the staff fix my teeth to the best of their abilities, but they made my experience a positive one. The entire staff was kind and understanding. The doctor's were attentive and made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire procedure. I highly recommend this place. We all know dental work is expensive. If it's going to cost you, then you might as well invest your money somewhere it will count. Don't be like me and go to some other place where the dental work is cheaper, because sometimes they can do more harm than good. read more

I needed to have upper and lower partials made, so I checked out a couple of other dental offices before deciding on Queens Dental. I was completely satisfied by my decision! The partials that were made fit perfectly and I didn't have to schedule any follow-up visits for adjustments. Since first trying them on, I was able to slide them on and off easily, could chew well and don't even notice that I am wearing them. My daughter even said the partials look like real teeth! Both Dr. Joy and Dr. Suchak are very caring and their staff is very nice and friendly. Just keep in mind that you might have to wait a while before being called in. In my experience with Queens Dental, you wait because the dentists are taking their time with each patient to answer questions and make sure we are getting good care. Queens dental is the best dental office in west covina, the entire team is so caring, informative and professional. Choosing them as my provider was the best decision I made. I went in to have my two lower wisdom teeth removed and was really nervous that I almost cancelled. My anxiety was really high and they were so understanding and patient with me. I've been coming to this dentist for as long as I can remember and I gotta say, they're super friendly and the best part about that friendliness is: they remember your name! No matter who you are, they'll remember you. I love talking to Adriana and Irma in the front. They never cease to make me laugh. Sometimes I want to change offices for transportation conveniences, but something wont let me. I couldn't say I trust anybody more than I trust Queens Dental. If you're in the search for a new dentist, dr. Suchak and his staff are amazing!!!. Unfortunately i had to get a few fillings done and a crown. but to my surprise everything was quick and easy! I saw two doctors, dr. Joy and dr. Suchak. They did a great job at explaining everything and listening to what I had to say. Jelly (the assistant) kept me calm through all of my appointments and answered all of my questions. The only reason I didn't rate 5 stars is because I had to wait an hour. Most of the time i have to wait. I arrived half an hour early hoping that I could get out early to pick up my daughter from school at 5pm. At 4:30 I had to text my husband to pick her up because I was still waiting. Other then that the staff is very friendly, patient, and informative. When I first walked in there was a new staff and that made me a little more nervous but when I saw Dr. Joy, Dr. Shusak (sp?) and Sylvia I felt a little more at ease. Dr. Joy is the best!!! Te ayudan con todas las preguntas ..él doctor es muy amable y les tiene pasiensia a los clientes.. a mi en lo personal me encanta ese lugar.. Came here for a cleaning and ended with discovering I had a cavity that needed taking care of!…read more Dr. Bisha took care to check-in on my comfort level the entire time and was very patient in explaining what they were doing, before and after the procedure. Richard, their hygienist, administered the numbing shots and did a great job keeping me calm the entire time even though I hate shots. This all took place in under a week, as it was very easy to schedule another appointment with the Dolores and Sylvia. Would highly recommend coming here for dental issues!

In other words "Quantity over Quality " Which I hated , bc I prefer quality over quantity . Also get prepared they will go into the room while ur on the chair and ask u about your upcoming bill which is a pressure tactic , why in the heck should anyone sell / pressure u while your on the dental chair ? Idk i do not like that, that was very uncomfortable, I've never had that. And they also tried to tally a regular cleaning charge , I have good insurance that I'm fully covered twice a year and I was so confused when they tried to say 80 dollars for a reg clean, that's always always been covered , which I questioned I've never been charged cleaning bc my insurance covers it , they re checked and said oh 0 dollars . Which I thought was shady work . So many ppl and long wait , for everything , meaning xam wait long, cleaning wait long, dental work another increment of waiting, everything was choppy . But the main reason I wouldn't go back is BC they charged to tally a cleaning fee when my insurance covers that, secondly their service of quanitity over quality . They wana make as much money from as many ppl over quality of service and having great service .
