Was told to do a blood test so I could get BP medication that same day, it's been over a week & no medication sent to the pharmacy. I've been trying to call their number for over a week as well & no answer, when it picks up it hangs up!! TERRIBLE!!!

MY Knee is GREAT!! I was finally able to get some sleep AND take a walk this morning
    Rhonda G.

Went yesterday as a walk-in for a swollen knee. It has been very painful and swollen for three days for no reason at all so I was a bit concerned. I did have to wait 20 minutes, but then I went to the back and was seen by Dr. Harry. This Dr was extremely professional, very nice and relatable. I explained to him that I have to go on TDY and take a very long flight Saturday morning, which was two days later. He understood and since he works I. Orthopedics, he knew exactly what was needed. He took x-rays and recommended a drainage. I was extremely scared to have a needle near my painful knee. He saw the nervousness so explained his background and how many times he's done this procedure to keep my mind at ease and it worked!! He was very gentle and he took great care of me. I felt 100 times better walking out the office. Thank you sooo much Doc!! He's amazing

I came here because I needed a doctor's note. Wasn't expecting to see a doctor but good thing I did because I got medicine to treat my congestion. I caught a cold yesterday so I needed a doctor's note to extend my sick leave off work. I have body aches, congestion and stuffed up nose. Checking in was easy. I showed my HMSA card along with my id. The lady told me to have a seat while waiting to be called. The doctor listened to my heart and my blood pressure was taken prior to seeing the doctor. Was glad it was normal. I have been having high readings in the past. My doctor sent out the prescription to the Walgreens in Waipahu. It took awhile for them to get it so I waited only 5 minutes or so. I'm glad I went to urgent care for a check up to see i have nothing serious. I got pretty good customer service. Parking is up front

They staff is great. Friendly and very helpful. Most of them let you know about how long you'll need to wait. For me it was about 2 1/2 hours. Once you go in and are seen it went fast for me. I only had a head cold but want to make sure it wasn't something else. Would be a good idea to call the location you want and check wait times. The doctor and nurses were very helpful and friendly.

I caught a cold and had pretty bad symptoms but all I needed was a doctor's note so I could recover at home for a few days. I first visited the location in Pearl City and they gave me an estimated wait time of 2.5 hrs. I then tried this location at Pearl Kai shopping center and I wasn't given an estimated wait time but it did take about 2 hrs. before I was seen. The medical facility itself was clean and nicely laid out. The parking lot had a good amount of room but can get crowded because they share the parking with many other facilities in the area. The facility's sign is large enough to be seen from the main road when driving past so it's not hard to find. Upon entering, the front check in desk is to the left and patients waiting could sit along the wall on the right side. There were 2 receptionists working at the time but I wasn't greeted until one of them were finished with what they were doing which is fine because it looked like a busy Monday for them. When I was finally checked in, the lady that helped me was very patient and polite. She asked a few questions for her intake form since it was my 1st visit to this location. I handed her my ID and insurance card and they take United Healthcare Insurance. After that, I asked if I could use the restroom, and she had a buzzer on her side of the window that unlocks the bathroom door for you. I took a seat in the waiting room when I was finished and just played on my phone until my name was called. I did wait for a while and many other patients came in and out. I think you're able to call ahead and make appointments because I did see a few patients walk straight in and get called to the back right away. I did a walk-in appointment like the rest that were waiting for a while so I understand the wait time. When I got to the back, I was put in a medical room and my vitals were taken. The nurse asked a few questions then said that it'll be a few minutes before the doctor would see me and she left. It was about 6 minutes or so before the doctor came in. She reviewed my record and listened to my breathing and heartbeat. I said I only came in for a doctor's note and nothing else. The process was quick with her and I received the documents I needed. I was out within 15 mins of being seen. Overall, my experience was good and I didn't have any problems. Although they advertise Urgent Care, your wait time can vary depending on when you come in and if you have an appointment. I'm glad the patients in the room with me didn't look like they were in dire need of medical attention so the environment was calm and controlled.

The receptionist said they don't call people anymore and you have to wait in the waiting room. I decided to go home because my head was pounding and it felt like it was going to explode. I took a nap and decided to return around 6pm. I walked in and went to check in. The employees working at that time were extremely rude and said they weren't taking anyone at the moment. She said "Didn't you see the sign on the door?" I just walked out. I see why this place has so many bad reviews. The workers are super rude and the whole policy of sitting in the waiting room while sick, possibly exposing your germs to others is so inane. I was MISdiagnosed there 2 YEARS when I had lymphoma UNDER shrapnel from an Iraq War wound. I was told, "You are getting OLD, and it's an old war wound..." The docs at St. Francis radiation center were GREAT. But nothing worked as it's a rare cancer and it didn't respond to radiation, and kept coming back. Finally, with MY research (I'm a retired surgeon) I found a treatment that may work for me and they referred me on after my oncologist AGREED. MAHALO PRES. TRUMP for 'Care in The Community', as we can now go to outside docs if we live far away--and they took me seriously, I got treatment the V.A. doesn't have anyway--and they listened to me, treating me with respect as a fellow doc. PALI MOMI WAS THE LATEST DOC TO SEE FOR BONE SURGERY--a big surgery, a VERY long 18 month recovery=MAJOR. I saw Dr. Aratani, who is highly specialized in ortho and oncology--one of only 2 on island. The only other is my friend @ Tripler but he was deployed so unavailable and he got me in to see Dr. Aratani. She was enthusiastic about my research, said YES--and referred me on to Queens for one treatment before she operates...but PALI MOMI WAS A BREATH OF FRESH AIR. I was pretty lost there as I never go to Aiea, living in Kahalu'u, and it's grown so much all my old landmarks are GONE--but after finally finding it, employees directed me every step of the way as to where to go, what building/floor/etc. OMG! That NEVER happens @ the V.A. I was totally--no lie--slack jawed by the time I got to her office! EVERYONE was so FRIENDLY--and not put on--I mean genuinely friendly, helpful...as my leg HURTS and walking HURTS...so so many folks there offered to help..I am BLOWN AWAY. It is BY FAR, the BEST medical facility I have EVER been in--and after getting wounded, I've had 15 surgeries, multiple scars/shrapnel/debility...etc. I just am very impressed=PERIOD. Much aloha to all you guys!!! Your assist and help was SO appreciated! I've been really down about all this, the time I lost getting treated and where it's at now--needing major surgery, possibly crippled for life...yadayada. But you guys there really cheered me up. He texted me needing a lift from Pali Momi Medical Center (PMMC) to his home just off Kinau Street. PMMC opened its doors in July 1989 and has been servicing Central and West Oahu. It was originally opened as Kapiolani Medical Center at Pali Momi until rebranded as PMMC in 2010. They are conveniently located in Aiea just down the road from Pearlridge Shopping Center. It was my first time here and was impressed with the upkeep of the grounds. Because my friend just had a procedure to the day prior, a hospital staff wheeled him via wheelchair to the pickup/drop off area. I was amazed by the hospital's attention to patient's condition, consideration and service extended. Although the pickup was a fairly quick process, the setback I encountered was leaving. There were 2 parked cars in front of me and it didn't seem the cars would be leaving soon. Furthermore, the right hand lane was too narrow where I couldn't pass them. My only option was to back up and exit via the far left lane. Thank goodness there was no car behind me otherwise I would have been in a standstill. Overall, impressed with my first visit to PMMC, with the exception of their pickup and drop off area. 2026 #60
