I went to this clinic yesterday because it's right down the road from me. I went around noon and I wanted to get tested, maybe even meds if I have the flu for sure. I went to check in and was told that the wait was around 1 hour 45 minutes to 2 hours. I said that's fine, I'll wait in my car and asked if I could get a phone call when it's my turn. The receptionist said they don't call people anymore and you have to wait in the waiting room. I decided to go home because my head was pounding and it felt like it was going to explode. I took a nap and decided to return around 6pm. I walked in and went to check in. The employees working at that time were extremely rude and said they weren't taking anyone at the moment. She said "Didn't you see the sign on the door?" I just walked out. I see why this place has so many bad reviews. The workers are super rude and the whole policy of sitting in the waiting room while sick, possibly exposing your germs to others is so inane. I would've preferred to go to straub Kapolei urgent care but I don't think I would've been able to handle the car ride. Straub or someone else needs to open another urgent care clinic in Ewa Beach cause this place ain't it. read more

Today I was assisted by Roderick. He was very kind, patient, helpful, and informative. Overall a caring individual. Jaime took care of me afterwards. The fact that she remembered me from a previous visit already says a lot. When she listens, she actually listens. She lets you express yourself & shows genuine concern. You can tell how much she cares. I went to the urgent care feeling very worried & scared. When I left, not only did I walk out w/ all the helpful information that was provided... Took my daughters to get their throats checked because it was sore. The Dr. didn't look at their throats or swab it to test what it might be. She just prescribed them cough medicine and that was it. I asked for a Drs note because I brought them to the Dr, and the Dr said I should ask my PCP for the note.Ridiculous!! I contacted my girls PCP and told them what happened and now we have to go and see our Dr in person. What a waste of time and money. The Medical assistant was very rude and rough. I could hear the staff talking loudly and laughing. The staff should remember that this is a place where people who come when they are sick and they should show some compassion and not be so rough and rude. The Dr. didn't do anything! Definitely telling everyone not to come here. Now I'm going to get charged twice to having my girls get looked at because the urgent care Dr failed to do her job. read more

Visited to check on my right knee, that suddenly act up two days ago. I observed and felt it's getting worse. I was greeted by friendly staff, and checked in quickly. Wait for today is 45 minutes, and hoping it would be a lot shorter as my pain is getting a little worse. My wife was here before and the quality of care was good enough for her to quickly recover. I'm hoping to get a similar or better experience. I would recommend this place if you're in the Queens system as all of your records will be visible and easily accessible. read more

The facility is really nice and clean. Love that. Every time I have gone, there's not a long wait which is a plus. Front staff is nice, nurse and doctors are nice and friendly. They don't seem over bearing. But they also don't seem like they care to much as well. If you need a doctors note go the day you need a note for, don't wait a couple days like me. I needed one for the past two days because I rolled my ankles and couldn't walk but he only gave me the note I got treated. So if you can't walk, or your dying go get checked anyways. Let me just start by saying that I am SO very reluctant to write this review because I don't want this place to be blowing up the next time I'll inevitably have to go... HOWEVER, when you have this high quality of care like we did, you just HAVE to share... *Especially* if you have children and are desperate for them to be seen by a doctor with an issue that isn't urgent enough for an ER visit (and bill) but urgent enough that you won't sleep until you have answers and meds or remedies for their symptoms... Why, YES! I AM that type of mom! #neuroticmomandnotashamed Besides, taking your kids -or yourself- to urgent care is safer than googling your symptoms... cuz an ingrown toe nail eventually leads to some rare type of cancer and you could only have 3 days left to live!! Yeah, don't Google... just drive to Queens Urgent Care in Ewa. Perhaps call ahead to ensure that they're still taking patients that day. That's what I did as we were turned down from QIUC Pearl Kai for high volume of patients. So as not to make the drive and risk to be turned down a second time, I called and spoke with a lovely woman named Jacky. She assured me they could take us but informed me that there could be a wait as there was only one doctor on site at that time. While I'm not super ma'a to the newly developed Ewa side, satellite navigation a.k.a Google maps got us there with no problems. Upon arriving, the establishment looked closed despite it being 6:45pm and they close at 8pm. If this is around the time you'll be heading there, fear not! For through the double doors of the building and to your immediate right down the hall is the entrance to the clinic! Catherine and Jacky greeted us and not only were they kind and professional, but they were also very compassionate for our situation. We were there for our 4 year old with our 3 month in tow. They made my daughter feel special instead of treating her like a walking illness and they offered to contact me when it was our turn so that I could step out to nurse my newborn. It's not pleasant having the need to go to an urgent care clinic- especially for your child, but if you find yourself in that situation, you won't find Aloha spirit at this level anywhere else. When our room was ready, we went in and were quickly seen by a nurse who took my daughter's vitals and info. The wait for the doctor was not long and he was very gentle and thorough. They ran tests for the flu and the results were ready within 10 minutes. Upon receiving the results, we were prescribed medication for her symptoms, a doctor's note for her school for return and discharge papers. Before leaving, they gave my little girl stickers and a fun little bracelet for being so brave for the swab! She was ecstatic and even left saying "I had fun, mommy!" From the mouth of babes... Though I do not share my child's sentiment, I for sure will not go to any other urgent care location. The staff is amazing, the clinic is spotless and the entire establishment looks brand new. The seating is ample and parking was not an issue at the time we went. Mahalo, Jacky, Catherine, doc and staff! You guys are great and though I do not hope to require your services any time in the near future, I will be back... eventually... but hopefully not for a while! read more

Came here as soon as they opened and they had a line but I believe, if I counted correctly, I was 8th in line. I'm no stranger to the medical field so I understand how busy it can be and how long the wait can take. While waiting in line, I was feeling quite nauseous. I made it to the check-in, provided my ID, insurance and reason for visit, but I couldn't hold it in anymore. I notified the MA that I needed to run out to the bathroom to throw up, and she said she can finish checking me in when I came back. I was gone for no more than 5 minutes. When I returned, there was no longer a line. After a while, the person that was in line before me was called in, so I knew I'd be next -- WRONG. 5 patients standing behind me in line, got seen before me. So it seems like I was moved to the back of the line, because I needed to throw up, literally something I had no control over. Aside from that, I was expecting to be tested for flu/covid/strep. Nope, just a quick exam and said I have a sinus infection. Didn't even ask if I was pregnant/breastfeeding before prescribing me certain meds. Stupid me forgot to ask if it was safe, since I still breastfeed my son. What a waste of nearly 3 hours of my time. Felt even worse after visiting. I should've just self tested and stayed home. read more

I hate going here but many times it's the most convenient option in terms of time but in terms of quality and professionalism...the worst. Story time.. Today I was required to go by my job and my pcp recommended it since she can't see me till Sept. I also was curious about a sudden onset of dizziness, fatigue, headache, and trembling. I also had some stomach discomfort. They pretty much only offered am excuse note. . . He brushed off any questions I had about what might be potential causes and recommendations. I should've known because he did the same last time. Very confusing and now I'm still here wondering why I have this headache, nausea, dizziness, fatigue, and morning shakiness all of a sudden Once my son was sick, which they confirmed, however my son is anxious and kept worrying about additional symptoms to which the provider commented that my son was a hypochondriac. That's not even the definition of hypochondriasis Another time I came for flu symptoms and the Dr simply offered an excuse note for work. No education on what could be the cause, recommendations, tests etc. Another time I had a female issue and the female provider looked irritated and refused to check. She also lied in her progress notes which was weird. Another time my son had difficulty walking. Turned out to be pulled muscles. The provider wanted to check for hernia or fracture and asked me if I checked. I told him I checked but can't confirm what he's asking. He gave me a shocked look and commented about me not being able to tell if there's a fracture or hernia. I explained it's because I'm a parent and not a doctor. He calmed after that. The staff are nice but the providers appear like they hate their life and don't want be there. Plus they always assume you're going just to get out of work. If they asked they'd know that I'm still working today and other times ive come . If only the providers would do their job and remember that people go to them because: 1. They want more expert information on what may cause symptoms because google isn't legit 2. They want recommendations...I doubt tylenol helps dizziness but hey that's what I was told so we'll see. 3. Because their job or pcp is telling them to go They seem to only be on it if they feel it's important. I had only one good experience and that's when the provider checked my cardiologist notes and informed me of a diagnosis I wasn't aware of. He took the time to educate me about it then provided recommendations. That was helpful because my cardiologist suddenly left and it's been hard getting a followup. From the reviews this seems to be the case. It seems like the positive reviews are those with more "exciting" concerns. . I really hate going here but when I'm told by my job or dr to go I listen. Hopefully something else open or waianae comp can start having faster service because I really hate this clinic. read more

They are quick to turn you away. Their closing time of 8pm means nothing. I even gave them a heads up on the phone that we were coming in and the rude, unpleasant lady at the front told us to leave and it wasn't even close to 8pm. It's clear they aren't interested in helping the sick and injured. read more

Our experience here has always been great!! I love how we can wait in the waiting room outside of the urgent care in the lobby and the bathrooms are clean and the staff are on it. My 5 year old has a major crush on of the nurses at the urgent care she made him feel so comfortable and was so kind. The doctors and nurses listen to you and take the time to explain everything to you. Everything is new and clean we love that they are open seven days a week 8am to 8pm. We really feel taken care of here at this location. read more

Arrived at 11, knowing there would be a wait, checked-in and was advised there would be a 2 hour wait just to get a "seat" reserved for a room. I asked if I was able to wait outside or in my vehicle as I was dizzy, coughing, and congested and trying to be considerate of others and looking out for my self as well. I was strongly advised not to leave the premises and it was fine with a 2 minute grace time to return upon their call, which I had not problem with as I had no desire of leaving the premises. I also confirmed hat they had the correct number on file as my area code is very similar to 808. Received the call while I was in my vehicle at 1:06pm, in less than 2 minutes I was checked back in and was told to take a seat. Thirty-eight minutes in waiting, I needed a drink of water, I told the receptionist of my intent to get a drink before doing so, no longer than 2 minutes I was back in my seat. Another 30 minutes lapse and I overhear from someone in the back that I was cancelled, receptionist looks me in the eye and calls me up to confirm that was the case. I queried why, and was told that they had seen me sitting there for a while, but I was not present when my name was called and was left a voice message. That couldn't be. I showed my call logs and voicemails (present/saved/deleted). She looked at my logs and even pointed out a outgoing call from my self at 9:34am insinuating they called me at that time. Wait, I didn't check-in until 11am, so how did you call me at 9:34am I asked and she pointed at a number that was not even their number. I was asked to sit once more for them to consult each other only for their return to say I was not present when my name was called in the main waiting room and lobby area and the MA waited for 5 minutes. She did not call me or wait for FIVE minutes Blew my mind as I looked around the room. I was at a loss for words, as was those waiting in the main waiting area with me, we all waited there and myself sitting in front of the receptionist. Receptionist, "Would you like to be put back on the list, but it would be the same as when you first checked-in, but now a 2 1/2 hour before I get a "seat" for a room?" That question and reaction would be so comical if hadn't been ill and waiting. This is absolutely illogical, wildly unreasonable, and highly inappropriate. Let's escalate this to the next level and call for or even subpeona their logs and camera footage. I have my GPS, call, and voicemail logs. read more

One morning, I ended up taking my 2-year-old daughter to Queens Island Urgent Care because our pediatrician didn't have an opening until the afternoon. I was recommended by Queens Hospital to go to Queens Island Urgent Care because it was just a few minutes away. I was warned by friends and family not to go to an urgent care that doesn't specialize in pediatrics because they may give a wrong diagnosis, but I was desperate to get her seen by someone before her nap so I settled on bringing her here. My daughter had a rash, sore throat, and previously had a high fever a few days prior. When Dr. XXX tried to look into my daughter's mouth, my daughter resisted so he used a popsicle stick to pry her mouth open a little more. He used a light to look inside her mouth (which was at maximum, slightly larger than the thickness of the popsicle stick!), and did not attempt to open her mouth up any further. Dr. XXX diagnosed her with STREP THROAT and SCARLET FEVER (and "some thrush" although the thrush was not documented on my printout). He apparently also said that she had swollen lymph nodes which supported his claim of strep and claimed that the back of her mouth was red. (At that time, I was quite impressed with his ability to see all the way in the back of her mouth given such a small opening). He prescribed her amoxicillin and sent us on our way. I left the office and started my car. After sharing the news with my spouse, we were unsettled with the diagnosis, so I went back to the office to ask Dr. XXX to confirm how he diagnosed her with strep because he did NOT do a rapid test. His response was that for young children, a test was not required and he diagnosed her by "looking into her mouth." (And I'd like to remind you that her mouth was barely open). When I shared Dr. XXX's diagnosis with other parents, they were shocked to hear that she had SCARLET FEVER, STREP THROAT, AND TRUSH all at once, so I made an appointment with my pediatrician for the following day. She conducted a rapid test and confirmed that my daughter did NOT have strep throat and that it was just a viral infection. She also looked into my daughter's mouth, creating a larger opening, and found that the back of my daughter's mouth was not red and that her lymph nodes were not in fact swollen. I was so angered by Dr. XXX's negligence in not conducting a rapid test. I called the office and spoke with a manager named Onica. I shared about our experience and she said that someone would get in touch with me within 2 days. This was right before the Easter weekend, so I figured I'd give them a week to respond. It was been over two and a half weeks and I have not heard anything back. Moving forward, I will make the drive to Kapiolani Peds Urgent care even though it is a much farther drive. I do not recommend this place to anyone, and I regret not looking at the reviews before coming here. I am writing this post in hopes that I will help another parent in making the decision to come here as well. read more

Today 9/25 was my first trip to this urgent care. I'm fortunate that I don't have to use urgent care often. As the name implies it's for "urgent care." I was referred by my Dr at Queens for a couple of tests. Rather than go to ER I went here. We got there about 30 minutes after they opened. The facility was spotless. We Checked in...very friendly service. Several people in the inside waiting room. We sat in the bigger waiting room. Nice chairs with plenty of "social distancing." After waiting for about 30 minutes we were called in by nurse Kathy. Very friendly. She escorted us to exam room: Spotless(check). Hand sanitizer right by entrance(check). Both nurse and doctor used it. Sanitizing soap near sink (check). Exam table clean (check) Kelly reviewed my meds, conducted the intake and took my vitals. She apologized for the wait and it was genuine. She conducted the tests. After conducting the tests we waited for the results. Dr. Briceno came in and spoke with us and conducted a thorough exam and reviewed my history and meds. He was very familiar with the speciality drugs I was taking. After reviewing the 2page list of meds my wife handed him he resanitized his hands before examining me. (Ever wonder how many times a day a health care professional sanitizes their hands)A lot I'm sure! He returned a few minutes later w the results of one test: good news, the second had to be "sent out" to DLS. The lab is right next door. We left completely satisfied and impressed. Great care! Great people! Great facility! I guess if I were going there late in the day I might call first as there was a steady stream of people coming in and waiting. Took the grand kids here for an unexpected urgent care visit while they came to visit us in Ewa for spring break. Staff was respectful of our time and told us upfront it would be up to two hours wait, made sure paperwork was complete and took the time to make sure we were comfortable with the outcome before discharging us. The practitioner and the medical assistant who helped us in the back were amazing and had so much patience with the crabby babies. Our daughter who lives here also uses this U/C as her primary backup location if she can't get into her PCP and has nothing but good things to say about her past experiences. read more

The front staff are amazing. The nurses are amazing. The last time I went before this time, the doctor was absolutely amazing and helped me a lot with whatever I was suffering with. This time around, had an MA come in and just rushed me. We came early so I can go to work but she just came in, no greetings very rude and acted like a huge know it all. The entire time whenever I asked questions she would continuously roll her eyes as she answered. I got discharged shortly after far more confused then when I came in. Just very ignorant and just not someone who should be in patient care. She didn't seem to care about anything I said and basically just rushed me out the door. read more

Do not call yourselves urgent care when there's a 3 hour wait time! Walked in and they automatically turn you away saying "sorry Doctor is not seeing anymore patients." If you say you're closed at 8 pm then you should receive and accept patients until 8 pm. Not everyone works a 9-5 Monday through Friday. Put up a sign in the front! I give this place 1 star because I came here thinking I would get diagnosed and treated as if I was a regular patient going to see my pcp. Being that I work in the health care industry I know how it goes. Anyway the dr came in jus ask me my symptoms checked my lungs and thats it. Didn't even bother checking my ears nothing. And prescribed me a bunch of meds that I'm not allowed to take because I'm breastfeeding. Long story short good thing I went to see my PCP I was diagnosed with sinusitis and my ear drums are retracted. Now I'm on antibiotics. read more

Do NOT go there. Unfriendly, makes copy of your credit or debit card even though you already have insurance. Won't see you if you don't provide or have them make a copy of credit/debit card. I needed to get a Covid test to travel to neighbor island. The lab DLS was close, went to Queen's Urgent care and was told to come back at 11 and was handed me forms to fill out. Went back on time, took a copy of insurance card, ID, and my credit card. Was told "You're only going to be charged for the test" So why make copy of my credit card, "It's policy and needs to be on file" I needed the test done in order for me to travel. I still had to wait 30 minutes or more. When I got put in one of the treatment rooms, the girl asked me to review my label to make sure information was right, my name was spelled wrong. When she did the covid test, BOY did she really go way up & I squinted, she tells me "Don't squint" seriously! and didn't ask me in a nice way not to squint. When I left there was no take care, bye, nothing. My opinion want better service, go to STRAUB urgent care in Kapolei. read more

I brought my husband here for a pretty bad ear infection and when we arrived, I discovered that my newly enrolled insurance hadnt processed all the way yet! Talk about stressful.. Thankfully, Nicole is the embodiment of what a healthcare professional should be and guided me through what steps to take and never made me feel embarassed or worried about a huge bill. She was patient, kind, and thoughtful and we appreciated her so much that I felt compelled to write a review! Thanks so much, Nicole. If you want your HIPAA PRIVACY to be VIOLATED, COME HERE! Absolutely no patient privacy here! Upon checking in, the receptionist asks why you want to be seen? I found it very uncomfortable knowing everyone in the waiting room would hear my reasons. Sitting in the waiting room, I heard many patients reasons for wanting to see the doctor. Examples included diarrhea making her anal hurt, pneumonia, fever, wheezing, etc. Change it to where the patient fills out a form. I've been to few urgent care facilities and this is how they conduct their business. ABSOLUTE NO PATIENT PRIVACY HERE! The receptionist also needs an attitude check. If your gonna represent the Queen Emma Way, it's best you find someone else to represent it! read more

Took my daughter into clinic on 5/28/2024 wait time was at 2 hours which was expected so not complaining there. Receptionist was very nice and fast with checking us in. Nurse and Doctor that i saw went over and beyond to make sure i was okay. overall staff and care was great! i see a lot of negative reviews but every time i come here it's always a great experience. As i was waiting to be called into a room a patient was checking in to see a doctor. she just started going off at the receptionist and started giving attitude after hearing about the 2 hour wait time and was being extremely rude and receptionist was very understanding and apologizing but then i heard her say she works for queens and that's when everything made sense she just felt entitled and also because she's a RN. she also didn't want everyone to know what she was checking in for and made a big scene about it but she could've just asked to write it down on a piece of paper like the receptionist told her to. just because you work for the same company and because your a "RN" it doesn't mean you can get special treatment and get to skip the line you have to wait your turn just like everyone else. These employees work 12 hours a day and see 80-100 patients a day they deserve some type of appreciation. read more

Very clean and quiet in the waiting room which is what I like, but what I don't like is definitely not the young receptionists attitudes lol. Waited my turn for her to take my info, she stared at me while on the phone, which I get yes, she's speaking to someone else but didn't have the decency to tell/ask me it might be a bit and to take a seat while she speaks to someone, THEN she can take my information. Hence, why the -1 star but I can tolerate it because they're not going to be the ones that give me the diagnosis. While I was waiting, it's standard for the receptionist to ask the patients what they're coming in for, and why. I noticed a different receptionist helped an older woman and I liked how kind that receptionist was towards her, the older woman was too embarrassed to say her symptoms/why they're going in for, so she was very patient and kind to let her write it on a piece of paper (tbh i never thought of that because i wouldn't want everyone in the wait room to know that i'm having diarrhea lol). Meanwhile, when I got taken in to a room, the nurse I got was nice, too bad I didn't get her name. But not really I can say much about them, but I do quite have a lot of good things to say about one particular person, the doctor that tended to my care. I am SO THANKFUL that I got him, I would hate going to see a doctor whenever I get really sick because I feel like most of the time they wouldn't take me seriously. I want Mr. Williams (aka Dr. Frank Williams), to know how much I appreciate him for explaining everything very well to me from my symptoms, down to my possible diagnosis's, and follow up/checking in by calling me the day after. He did everything he could and truly cared, because he called in the ER for me that I would be coming down because there's only so much they could do. And remember how I said doctors tend to diminish how I felt when i'm sick? Well ER said nothing was wrong, BUT here's the best part. The urgent care doctor, Dr. Williams called me to follow up, NOT the ER Doctor.. Dr. Williams called and told me he LOOKED at the results from the ER that was sent to him and Dr. Williams prescribed me with some antibiotics because there was something that was growing in my body that will cause an infection (UTI) soon if not treated right away. Dr. Williams is the best, i'd definitely ask for him if anything ever happens if I need to come to this location again. read more

Worst experience EVER! I should have heed the warnings from seeing that they were 2 stars! First off the girls at the reception are super ghetto and sassy. No profressionalism what so ever. Then the dr assistant clearly hates her job (pic attached). Hated when I asked her questions and her responses were as if I was wasting her time asking her. Then the dr comes in (heavier set japanese male) with no personality as well! Zero empathy for why we were there! Like we were just another number. Wow.....Queens....your expectation for customer service here at this location is well below par and it really shows! All the employees could care less about the patients who walk through that door and are clearly there just for their paycheck! Sad! First time visiting this urgent care. Came here on a Saturday after going to Kapolei Minute Clinic and they had no appointments until Monday. I had an awesome experience here! When I arrived around 10am there was no one in the waiting room. After I checked in then people started to trickle in. They saw me within 10 minutes! Friendly and communicative staff.
