Disappointed is an understatement. I came to Queens Nail Spa for a soak-off, tips, and acrylics, but the experience fell far short of expectations. To start with a positive, they were able to get me in for service without an issue, and I was offered a cold soda, which I appreciated. The biggest issue was communication. My technician and I did not speak the same language, making it difficult to explain what I wanted. Another customer even tried to help translate, but I still wasn't able to get my point across. Eventually, I stopped speaking up and let the service continue. The overall atmosphere was also off. Instead of relaxing spa music, the TV played a continuous loop of Korean food videos, which made the experience feel anything but spa-like. The appointment took nearly two hours, and unfortunately, I was not satisfied with the quality of the work. Despite my disappointment, I still paid the high price for the service. When it came time to pay, I voiced my concerns and was asked why I hadn't spoken up during the appointment. I explained that communication had been difficult throughout the service, which was the main reason I struggled to express my concerns in the moment. Looking back, the results did not match the cost or the time spent. Overall, while I appreciated being accommodated quickly and offered a beverage, poor communication, an uninviting atmosphere, lengthy service time, and disappointing results made this a frustrating experience. read more

I came in as a walk-in for a manicure and pedicure, and they were very accommodating despite the short notice. They offer a wide selection of colors and services at highly competitive prices--much lower than similar places. The service was excellent, and the staff was friendly. The location is conveniently near the medical center with plenty of parking, and the salon is clean with comfortable equipment. The only reason I'm not giving it five stars is that it's not a luxury, high-end establishment, with many of the higher end products I tend to prefer (Opi, Essie) but for the value, it's fantastic. read more

It's fine. The last time I was here was several years ago and didn't have a great experience. I was in town and my mom and I were looking to get our nails done and our usual place had a very long wait and when I called they said no wait. They had only one customer, but we still waited. My mom didn't have any polish on her nails, but they started on her first, even though I had gel that needed to come off. The manicure itself was ok, but they don't have OPI polishes and that's what I usually go for. read more

I'm honestly sad to leave this review because I genuinely love supporting small local businesses, especially with these taking such a big hit with COVID. I saw some time ago a post from the shop asking to give them an opportunity as they were under new management and the bad experiences were from previous owners; this stuck with me for a long time. Today, 4 of us decide to go in...2 manicures, 1 pedicure and 1 full set. We arrived at 6:15, they close at 7:30 but called before getting there to make sure they were ok with these 4 requests, they said yes. FIRST, NOTHING IS SANITIZED. The tools are full of old nail dust, not cleaned at all. WAIT UNTIL I TELL YOU ABOUT THE BLOODY PART. Pedicure was fine other than getting a 20 second massage instead of the 6 minutes. Tony did my manicure to which he was rushed and sad to say -- sloppy. He only clipped the middle part of my finger nails and I thought, ok maybe he's going to file the sides to shape them nice and round....that didn't happen. The hand/forearm massage was more of rubbing lotion than actually massaging. Overall, most nails look shiny from the clear polish but not a clean manicure, polish is coming off on other nails. I came home and shaped and filed my nails. Lee did my brother's manicure. The overall work is fine other than cutting him while cleaning the cuticle, which accidents happen, not mad about it at all. HOWEVER, the bleeding would not stop so he brought a blue bottle with a solution that I guess is supposed to help with the bleeding. He takes out the dropper and touches the actual cut and gets blood on the tip of the dropper, AND puts the bloody dropper back in the bottle and stores it away...for future use I'm assuming. How much blood is in that bottle from other accidents??!! THEN, when applying clear nail polish, the brush also touches his blood to which Lee proceeds to continue to dip it in the bottle over and over again, and stores it away when done!!! Who will be the next person to get a bloody clear polish on?! Lastly, the full set on my niece was done by Lee also. The nails are super chunky and wide and he didn't even clean the cuticles. Sloppy work all around. My niece already made an appointment to get them fixed tomorrow somewhere else. We regret not saying anything while still there but I think we were still shocked at everything that just happened. Maybe they had an off day today and I would not mind giving them another shot if it wasn't for their lack of sanitation! read more

It's Not that the staff was unfriendly or didn't attempt to fix the issue. Cause the woman did try to square my nails but they were so slanted I had to stop service. They do have flys that have gotten in the building and we're landing on the ladies hair in front of me then trying to land on me I watched the lady getting her nails done shew them away from her as well. The shaping was just so poorly done and she seemed as if I was being maybe demanding wanting my acrylic toe nail shaved down it was so thick it look like a clump of clay was on my toe. Not to mention she cut me with the drill on my toe didn't even say I'm sorry just continued. What they didn't know was I'm a license nail technician I didn't wanna go to my job on my one day off to go get a pedicure. I wanted to go somewhere else relax and get it done for me plus my salon doesn't do acrylics so I am more or less know that the shaping was extremely bad it's just not a place I would recommend. I decided just your gonna have to go home do it yourself and I didn't let her finish. Sorry I just been to a lot of spots and I thought they used to be so good but it's been a while since I been in and the whole atmosphere feels dark and dirty unsanitary when looking at the floor where the couch is at the front and even behind the chairs I could see clumps of dust with nails dust and people hair. The sanitation is so minimal I'm surprised state hasn't come in and tagged them yet. read more

Since my first review, I've gone in at least 4 more times! Twice to get my eyebrows, lip and chin waxed, and the other two times for manicures and pedicures. Pedicure was amazing! They were able to remove calluses and make the skin on my feet feel very soft. They'll also massage your calves and feet, as you relax with a magazine or watching TV on the screen they have on the back wall. The manicures were also nice and they can do them in a variety of colors. They were able to let me come in 30 minutes early one Sunday, because I had to be out in time for work. First I got there 30 minutes before closing time and I thought oh no they are going to say no and make faces at me. The complete opposite they were super friendly said yes to a shellac pedicure and manicure. They never rushed they took their time had a massage and it was really nice after a long day at work. The man that attended me did really good he made sure it was how I liked it and concentrated and took his time. They always kept asking me if I was needing any water or any soda. I love to support local small businesses especially this time during Covid. I have visited this nails salon a few times. They offered a 30% discount which made it very nice and the price was fair. I went today and the sign is still out on the street 30% off but they did not offer the 30% off. I feel like this is false advertisement. When I asked about the 30% discount the owner said he didn't know the sign was out there and he didn't put it out there!!! I am not sure if I'll return. I don't like to be fooled. Nothing is sanitized. They overcharged me and they had already started my nails so it wasn't like I was going to leave when he told me the price. A full set with pink and white is supposed to be 50 and he told me $75. It was a bit awkward but no hand washing nothing. I left with dusty hands. Literally nothing is sanitized. This place is bomb!! Okay I usually dread getting my nails done because 9/10 times the people do a job that is below my expectations, but Henry and Ann are so amazing I have to give them five stars! I would probably call ahead to make an appointment if possible. They're only two of them so it gets busy. I got a pedi and shallac mani. Ann was so thorough with my pedi my feet felt as smooth as a baby's bottom when she finished. Also, she was so detailed oriented and made my toes look adorable! Went on to do the shallac mani and same thing! She even gave me three coats because I wanted the color to be darker. This place is super affordable too! The owner was extremely rude. The place was empty. First didn't respond when I asked if I could see a color pallet. He rolled his eyes when I asked him for a color pallet. Didn't ask me what I wanted. He rudely gave me a bunch and walked into the backdoor. Then his wife came to work on me. I noticed the only thing playing in the TV was exceedingly inappropriate for a sequestered audience. it played girls in scanty bikinis showing their bottoms right up to the camera. aAs I sat right in front and I was to endure this offensive display, I asked if she could change the station. We went back and forth about her not being able to change the channel and not understanding that it was offensive. Her husband came out and said I could go somewhere else for my nails. I said it was no wonder the place was empty. The next nail place was extremely welcoming with an atmosphere of love and respect. Both husband and wife were joyful. What a difference!
