Went to this place because I saw the high star rating. Let me just say it did not disappoint. She really takes her time to make sure you get what you want. My last eyebrow place left me with one eyebrow thinner than the other, but she was able to fix that. It's located inside the Indian Store in the back corner. I have been a lifelong eyebrow threading customer and because of my constant travels, I have literally tried dozens of eyebrow threaders to know that they are divided into 3 main categories: (1) amazing ones who deliver consistently good service. These threaders could be fast or slow but they are very good at what they do. The shape always ends up being as good as you could have imagined or even better and they don't tear out your skin to get you the results. 2) are those threaders who appear to know what they are doing and may even do a painless job but the shape leaves you wanting more. They just do a good cleanup but in no way do they try to reshape the brows to achieve the "wow" factor. And finally 3) those are the ones you never ever want to see again. They not only mess up your brows but do so while either causing you pain and/or tearing your skin in the process. I have encountered very few people who fit into #1 and thanks to yelp have also been able to avoid a lot of encounters with #3's as well. Paru I would say falls into the middle of 1 and 2. She is very fast and she does a very painless job. For most of the time, she does deliver a good shape but from others I have tried, I know that the "wow" factor is not always there. I have left with a few pieces of hair that I notice afterwards and that's primarily because of the super fast job she is able to do. So why the 5*'s? In San Antonio, she had so far been my best choice. She is incredibly fast. She has never made me bleed or caused pain. For the most part she did try to work on the shape during the session and she is quite accommodating. If you've never tried threading before, she is definitely a good choice to start with. read more

Parul is the best threader I've ever been to. She's been my go to for about a year now. I've never had a bad experience going to her. She's even helped me fix my eyebrows from thinning out. Just know that her location has moved further down Evers. When you go see her enter the " India Store" and then go right towards the freezers. Ladies this place is the BEST in town for eyebrow threading, believe it or not! What?! At an indian grocery store? You ask. Yes! You heard it right. I'm so happy I discovered this hidden gem after a horrifying eyebrow threading somewhere else. Prior to that, I left my eyebrow untouched for a year b/c I was new in town and hadn't found a trusted place to do my eyebrows. Overly thin terrible looking eyebrows is one of my biggest fear! So I'd rather leave my eyebrows alone and let them grow like wild grass. Finally I saw this five star rating indian store eyebrow threading on Yelp. It's not far from work so I went in to try it out during lunch hour and had been coming here ever since! The price is more than reasonable (current price for eyebrows is $10) and the indian lady Paru does wonders to your eyebrows making them look so natural and polished. The line can get very long sometimes especially during lunch hours so that says a lot about how good she is! Now I'm moving again to another state and I have to find a trusted eyebrow threading place in the new city. That makes me so sad. I wish I could take her with me. She actually lives in New Braunfels and drives back and worth everyday for her business. She also has a store up there but it's by appointment b/c it's much slower than the business in SA. So if you happen to live close to that area, check out the "aesthetic beauty care" too. When she heard I was moving, she didn't want to charge me! How sweet was that?! I went in there this past week and noticed that they went up on their prices by an extra $2. I think they went up on the upper lip price - so now the total is $14 for eyebrows and upper lip. Authentic Indian market with an excellent threading shop inside but I do not shop at the market. I come here for threading and she does a great job. $5 lip, $7 eyebrows last time I came I asked for her recommendation for eyebrows and she said I should wait until my next visit. This place was very sketch when I arrived. I was told the brow shop was in the back, kind of off to the left side when you walk in side.. There were white patio chairs lined up.. I was thinking "this cannot be legit.." and "wtf have i got myself into" - there were fruit flies a-buzzing near due to the area being near the produce and what not.. Definitely NOT what I had expected for such high reviews.. After about 10 minutes of waiting (I came early because I read she gets paacckkeedd) - other girls started to show up and wait as well so I knew I had to be in the right place. There is no uniformed line or way to wait so make sure you get there early because there will be a small crowd waiting. Finally this petite lady came in, was greeting people and unlocked this small, almost bathroom sized room in the back corner and the madness began !! This lady - named Paru (I hope I spelled it correctly) is THE TRUTH with some strings. She can thread like no other. Anytime I've gotten threaded here - it takes 3-4 weeks before I have to return to have them re-done. Which is awesome because at my last waxing place, they saw me almost every other week. She is very precise and WILL set those brows on fleek ! I haven't used her for any other services other than brow threading, so I cannot speak on anything else but the treading is immaculate. My review is for the eyebrow threading they offer here. I read a review for the great threading they do here so I decided to give it a go. The lady was so nice but it seems as though she's not there as often as she was before so I suggest you call to make sure she's there before you go. She was so nice and the eyebrow threading was only $7 (plus tip). She did a better job than other ladies I have been to so I will definitely be going to her from now on. Minus one star because one of the girls that worked at the grocery store seemed a little annoyed when we walked in and asked for the lady who threads. Maybe she was having a bad day, who knows, but she just wasn't very nice. As far as the store goes, it seems to have a pretty good selection of indian food. I ended up walking out with some Chick pea masala and I'm pretty excited about it because its so good. They also have freshly made chicken and veggie samosas for $1 each so definitely pick some of those up when you're there. read more

I usually would go to Just Stringz over at La Cantera but always felt like they would rush and were sometimes rude. The first time coming to get my eye brows threaded by Paru she was AMAZING!!! For $7, I received an excellent eyebrow threading. The lady was very meticulous and thorough, asking me how I wanted my eyebrows shaped while also giving her own opinion of what looked best. My review is for Parul who does the threading there. She is AWESOME! I literally had crazy looking eyebrows because a previous place that waxes had messed up my eyebrows. I decided to try this place because I passed by it every day on my way to work and I figured why not. That was the best decision ever! Not only did she fix the shape of my eyebrows but she was insisting that I not pay her the first time because they were so badly messed up. I of course paid her because she did such a great job of fixing someone else's crap job. And she only charges $7(plus tip) but in my opinion her work is worth way more than that. I've been going to her ever since so over a year now and now my sisters and friends all go to her as well because I recommended her and she really does a great job. You won't go wrong if you go to her. But make sure you go to India Store and not that place next door. I tried them too and they charge more and don't do as good a job as she does. Also you're better off calling her before you go because she's got certain hours that she's there. I absolutely loved Parul and her work. I read her reviews on Yelp and ventured out to her studio. I live & work downtown so it's not the most convenient location but I don't care!! I will be back to see her. She has a very gentle touch. She removed my lip hair by threading. I'd asked for waxing as I had my lip threaded in the past and it was very painful. Parul explained why threading is best and asked me to give her a chance. I did and I can honestly say I did not feel any pain at all.
