    Saturday Brunch Menu
    Cortney W.

Saturday Brunch Menu has so many options to choose from! Let me back up. Queenz Bakery Cafe was a great addition to South East Queens. We needed a good place to get good food, desserts and service. The restaurant has a weekly menu that rotates and there's something tasty everyday. The brunch was another great addition with the jerk turkey wings. Delicious and tender. Seems almost impossible to do but they did it. There's a seating on the side of the section to pick up food. It doubles as a venue that can be rented out. Check them out if you're in the area! You won't be disappointed.

Everything looks good. The Cherry Mini Cheesecakes were good and the Dulce de Leche Mini Cheesecake was good too.

Not sure why I didn't take pics of my stuff. But we enjoyed the baked products. We ordered the mini cherry and dulce de leche cheese cakes, they were on sale. I bought a bottle of sea moss for my drinks. Sea moss is good for you. I'll try that place again and take more pics next time. I enjoyed the dulce de leche mini. But all their desserts look good.

My family and I have intentionally supported local black businesses, especially as Rosedale & Springfield Gardens residents for over 50 years. So, of course, when planning a baby shower for a family member, we decided to contact Queenz Bakery Cafe since the mother-to-be LOVES their coconut cake. We spoke to the owner on Saturday, 2/19, who confirmed we could pick up our order (cupcakes, cheesecake, banana pudding, and oxtail patties) at 10am on Sunday, 2/20. I also checked the website to confirm that the bakery opens at 10am since we had other stops to make before the shower. We arrived later than expected (10:20am), and the shutters were down to our dismay. We called the bakery, hoping that someone was inside, but no one answered. We sat and waited, and finally, at 10:36am, someone arrived to lift the shutters. Once I was inside, the order was not ready, and we needed to wait another 20 MINUTES (until 10:56am) for the oxtail patties. The hours on Google indicate that the bakery opens at 10am (see photo attached), AND a pickup time of 10am was communicated to the person who placed the order, so why wasn't the order ready? They should have been honest and realistic if the order would not be ready until 11am. Also, the Google hours should be updated so that patrons know exactly when your business is open and closed. When a business inconveniences a customer, they should offer something as an apology--whether discounting the order or providing additional patties/cupcakes. Instead, the baker offered ONE CUP OF COFFEE, which was insufficient for an order that should have been ready at 10am but was not ready until 10:56am. Lastly, while the desserts were delicious, the oxtail patties had bones in them, which in my opinion, was dangerous considering folks of all ages were partaking in the patties. Every business cannot accommodate catering orders (especially when starting out) and should acknowledge their bandwidth to meet customer needs and expectations. I hope Queenz Bakery Cafe recognizes this and makes the necessary adjustments as soon as possible so that another family will not have the same experience as us.

The banana pudding cup was mmm good but that Strawberry crunch cheesecake pudding was a heavy hitter, that was by far my favorite but I can't speak too soon until I try them all lol.

The orange has a base made of chocolate Rice Krispies. All of them have more fruity filling than the mousse. They are very fragile. I recommend eating there if you can. While Salswee is not on my list of top bakeries, I would be willing to come here again to try their more colorful items - things with mango or yuzu. Worth checking out if you're trying to tackle all the dessert spots in NYC!

This used to be my favorite Italian bakery. I haven't been to this bakery in years like ten years…read moresince I was a teenager. Today I decided to make a special trip to go here to grab a few goodies. I forgot how small the place was and how low the ceilings were. That wasn't an issue though. The place was nice and cakes were stacked neatly. What was surprising to me is that they don't have any cookies laid in the front display. It's all placed in the back almost hidden. I was deeply disappointed with their cookie selection. It was deeply surprising that they don't sell the butter cookies that had jam in the middle and dipped with chocolate on one side with sprinkles. I did ask the clerk and even showed him a pic of what I was looking for and he said they never sold them. They only had the linzer cookies and they didn't look so good. They also did not have the lobster tail. They did have the sfogliatelle which they also called a lobster tail. I thought they were not the same? Some bakeries sell both and they are definitely not the same. I did end up buying one of their sfogliatelle with cream and some rugelachs. The sfogliatelle was good but the rugelachs tasted slightly underbaked. It did taste fresh though unlike many I've had in other bakeries. However, for $28 per pound, I wouldn't get it again. For those not having lobster tail and not having the Italian cookies, I will have to give Veniero's a low rating. I never thought an Italian bakery would not carry staples. Very disappointed. I need to find another Italian bakery now.

I had to run to work after an appointment so I ordered for takeout. The person taking my order was friendly. I opted for the Lumberjack and a black cold brew. I received the drink very quickly, with a short wait for the sandwich. While waiting, one member of the staff stocking up supplies on the side started chatting with me and then she offered to check up on my sandwich. She came out with it shortly thereafter. She was very friendly and helpful. The sandwich held up well during my 15-minute commute to the office. It is a really indulgent sandwich, with each bite revealing the sweetness and butteriness of the maple crueller, the saltiness of the thick cut bacon, and the savoriness of the cheese and the eggs as the yolks popped. I sipped the cold brew in between bites to cut the richness. It was a very satisfying meal. The Lumberjack is not something I would recommend you eat every day, but it's good as an occasional treat. In the past I've ordered lunch from Daily Provisions via delivery (the "Chefy" salad and the chicken milanese with arugula salad are my favorites), but I might start adding other breakfast sandwiches to the mix.

I had never heard of the place before, but I was happy to give it a try -- and I'm so glad I did. From the moment you walk in, the experience feels special. The store has two beautiful double doors that create such a grand entrance, and once inside, you immediately feel the energy. The place was bustling with people, and everyone seemed happy and excited -- from the customers to the team behind the counter and the baristas. The cookie case was overflowing with so many amazing choices that it was hard to decide! I ended up getting the Rocky Road cookie, a Double Chocolate Chip cookie, a Two Chip Chocolate Chip cookie, and a blueberry muffin to enjoy for breakfast the next morning. The service was absolutely impeccable, and everyone I interacted with was warm, friendly, and delightful. When I got home, I had half of the Rocky Road cookie with a cup of tea, and it was incredible. The cookie was large and chunky but still perfectly enjoyable -- not heavy or overwhelming. It literally melted in my mouth. The chocolate was rich and smooth, and every bite was just delicious. The next morning, I tried the blueberry muffin, and it was just as impressive. It was light and airy, not overly sweet like many blueberry muffins can be. It truly felt like a breakfast pastry. The blueberries tasted fresh and burst with flavor in every bite. I will definitely be back for more cookies. This was such a wonderful find, and I'm so happy my coworker introduced me to this place!
