My first time here, and I picked up food to go so I haven't experienced dining in yet. There are several great Mexican restaurants in the area but I thought I would try Queso's since I drive past all the time but had never tried it. I ordered enchiladas with veggie mix. I also ordered guacamole and chips for an appetizer. My entree came with beans and rice. The beans had good texture but were lacking in flavor. I stirred in some salsa which improved the taste. The rice too lacked flavor. The enchiladas had a nice presentation and were tasty. Salsa was good, and the guac was ok but didn't taste like it was freshly smashed. Service was fine. read more

Had dinner on a Wednesday night when the special was a Burrito Fajita for $12.99 and a 24 oz Margarita for $8.99. One margarita was enough for two of us to split. Great value! We sat at the bar and the service was good. Bartender was friendly. Food was served promptly. The margaritas were very good. They served free chips and salsa. The salsa was ok. The burrito came with a choice of two sides. We selected black beans and cilantro lime rice. Both were good. We were disappointed in the Burrito Fajita. The chicken was few and far between... and smaller than the size of your pinky nail. See pictures. Therefore the flavor was mainly onions. We were told there was tomato in the burrito but there were none. Predominantly onions in a flour tortilla with some queso on top. We would not get again. The portions were large. My wife and I both had leftovers to take home for lunch the next day. We've been here twice now in 2024. Would we come again?? If we were close by ... and for the margarita special. However, there are other Mexican restaurants we prefer (and have actual fajita strips of chicken in their burritos). So, since it's a drive for us to get here ... no, not just for dinner. I want to update my review with two, new, huge disappointments. First, they stopped serving Coke and switched to Pepsi. Secondly, and more importantly, they now only serve the lunch menu Monday through Friday. My families two favorite dishes are on the lunch menu. It's the only thing we've eaten here, until now. We can't even order them. The waitress showed us it's not an option on her point of sale device. We don't work anywhere near here, so we won't be back. If they bring those items back for the weekends, we'll never know. How sad. We went ahead and ate here anyway since our drinks and chips and salsa were on the table. I ordered the guacamole molcajete appetizer which had a funky taste to it. It's as if they didn't use fresh limes but citric acid instead. We couldn't eat it. My wife got the tortilla soup which was lukewarm. The Queso dip was hotter. So disappointed. We were regulars here and the Huevos Michoacán's and Chilaquiles are so unique to this place. read more

I used to LOVE this place. It had everything--delicious food, a warm and welcoming ambiance, and great specials that made it a perfect spot for families with kids. It used to feel like a hidden gem where you could relax, enjoy a meal, and not feel like your wallet took a hit. But something has changed--dramatically. The prices have shot up without any noticeable improvement in quality. The inviting vibe is gone, replaced by a colder, almost lifeless atmosphere. And worst of all, the family-friendly deals that made it such a draw have completely disappeared. It feels like a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde transformation--and sadly, it's become a place I no longer recommend. I hope they find their way back to what made them special in the first place. read more

I've enjoyed dinner here quite a few times and it's definitely one of my favorite Mexican spots in Noblesville. The margaritas are tasty and they have a nice selection of them (and frequent specials), and I love the enchiladas and if I'm hungry I always get the Pollo Purepecha - it's super yummy! There is often live music which is fun, and the service is usually good. Finally they have a great rewards program so check that out when you visit. read more

February Visit - I visited Queso's for the first time in Noblesville. It's different from what I expected. The service was slow and a little different/awkward. There was a small language barrier but it was okay to deal with. The food is a little on the pricier side of Mexican Restaurants. I went with a salad the needed just a little bit more flavor. The salad was okay. My sister went with a chicken dish and she enjoyed both the chicken and the beans. I may give them another try. read more

Queso's in Noblesville is a Mexican restaurant with standard fare that might come at a premium price. If you want inexpensive Mexican food, keep looking. Queso's has a large space as well as a bar area with a few tv's. We had a small party that walked in within just minutes of our being too late to place a take out order. The staff at Queso's was pleasant and assured us it was not too late to place an order. They seemed to have our order ready to go in only a matter of minutes. There was plenty to select from on the large menu and the fact that it was a to go order everything was still prepared and packaged with care. The prices though did seem a little steep. There are not too many other Mexican restaurants close by so maybe that is why the prices seem to be a little higher than what I would expect. There wasn't much memorable about Queso's: 1) We had to beg for refills of drinks, salsa and chips. 2) They were also rationing napkins. To save trees (?!?!?) There were three in our party. We received exactly three more napkins. No more, no less. 3) I ordered the Molcajete. I had to repeat that word 3 times to our server, and then I still had to point to it on the menu. (Ella no habla...) 4) There were lots of flies and gnats buzzing around. None in the food, thankfully, but a few of them might have moistened up the over-cooked chicken. So anyway, sometimes you're just so hungry that you forget about how the restaurant experience has worsened so much after Covid. In fact, I think I've already started to forget Queso's, and we were just there a few hours ago. If you're reading this, maybe my visit was just a fluke, and you'll have a much better time. Stopped in for lunch today for the first time. We tried a house margarita, guacamole molcajete, quesabirria tacos, and chicken chimichanga. Service was very fast and good. There was only one server for all the tables. She also seemed to be manning the bar. Our food was good just bland. Could have just used more seasoning. There was some sauce on my quesabirria tacos- it had no smell and no flavor. I still don't know what it was. The restaurant overall could use some love- deep clean bathrooms, reupholster booths, fresh coat of paint. This facility has a sports bar feel to go along with the Mexican food. The facility is large, open and clean. We were quickly seated. The hostess was friendly. The chips and salsa server didn't say a word to us in the three trips he came to the table - not even a smile and your welcome to our thank you's. The waiter was a bit pushy and seemed preoccupied with other things. We didn't feel like he was very attentive to our party of three. The chips that came with the meal were light and crispy. Not much of a greasy taste. It was difficult to get refills on chips. The salsa was kinda there. No real distinguishing tastes or consistency. The queso was a bit thin and struggled to stay on the chip. The severing size was pretty small of the price. It also came off somewhat bland as it didn't have much seasoning. For dinner I had the steak fajitas - which were very good. There was plenty of steak strips. The steak was nicely cooked and moist. The add-ons were fresh. The whole fajita dish was pretty good. Stopped by on a Tuesday night to satisfy my craving of veggie and cactus tacos. Yes I said cactus for those of you who haven't heard of this Mexican cuisine. Both the veggie and cactus tacos are delicious! You can get soft tacos or crunchy. Let's not forget their yummy salsa and homemade tortilla chips. I will say it was very busy therefore the wait was long for my carry out order, the place was packed so I took that into consideration. Tucked away in Noblesville, I wandered in to grab a late dinner here and was very pleased. The place is clean and the staff is friendly. I sat at the bar to grab a drink and promptly was given chips and salsa to go along with my beer. That was clutch. The salsa was great as well. Went and ordered the arroz con pollo. This was our first time here and we came on a Thursday night which has live music. The musicians were great!! The food was so so and the service not so great. My wife ordered the 3 street tacos 2 veggie and 1 grilled cheese. The veggie tacos were great!! The grilled cheese was odd to say the least. I thought it was tofu when it came out. It was a brick of cheese which has an odd consistency. Neither my wife or I enjoyed that. I ordered the 3 street tacos also. 1 carnitas, 1 grilled steak and 1 pastor. The carnitas was flavorful but some of it was hard like it was old mixed in with fresh. The grilled steak was dry and the pastor has some good flavor. All of the tortillas were cold which made them difficult to eat and dry. We both really enjoyed the sampler appetizer where we chose the guacamole, queso cheese and chipotle salsa. The sampler was enough to feed 3-4 people. We will be back and next time I will give something else a try...the burritos looked good. read more

Went on a Saturday night. For me this was my second visit as opposed to a week day lunch last fall. On this night, they had a man and woman singing. I do think this might have affected table availability as people tended to linger after they finished eating. We had a long wait to be seated after having been estimated 10 minutes when we checked in. After at least 10 minutes, we were told by hostess 5 more minutes if we would sit in bar. I then watched a server give the bar table to couple that came in after us. Moving on told another 5 minutes for table main dining area. We were seated pretty promptly brought chips and a good salsa. And then we ordered queso dip while we looked at menu and requested a drink menu. When we placed order dining companion ordered burrito bowl, I got burrito and we added a starter of street corn. Her burrito bowl is brought by someone from kitchen. Then street corn arrives in a bowl. Looks like 2 cups of frozen corn with butter on top. A few minutes later I was told my burrito had been given to another table. Food review street corn wasn't very good she liked her burrito bowl and my burrito was large and tasty. My burrito came with fries that I really didn't realize were part of order. Fries were over brown and tasted to me like oil needed to be changed, when I tried one. Even if, I had wanted to eat fries no ketchup was on table but did not ask either. At some point we realized drink menu never arrived and took that as sign we weren't supposed to drink. Maybe they were short staffing but kitchen was slow. We did see several take out orders go out. And table service was friendly, pleasant but also slow. Bottom line I would recommend for lunch but not a Saturday night. Avoid the street corn and no fries. read more

This was the first time I ate here. The passion fruit margarita was amazing I could keep drinking if I didn't have to drive 30 minutes back home. The trio dip was good especially the mango salsa and the Ceviche. My main course was not pleasant ‍ I do not eat meat, I'm a pescatarian and the waitress didn't know the menu very well to help me find something to eat, but was able to go back and ask for suggestions. So I got the burrito bowl with shrimp. It was so bland and gross and the shrimp tasted funny. Yes I did say something to her and she went and got me some sour cream, avocado and two different salsas. That didn't help the taste of the bowl. My party who all eats meat was very happy with their food, just sad that I didn't get to enjoy it, I never finished the bowl it was still a full uneaten bowl when I left (should of taken a picture), I did eat all the avocado that she gave me. If you don't eat meat, I do not suggest this restaurant as it's not appealing to non-meat eaters. read more

Avoid at all costs! They will up charge to steal your money. First time we went was today because of the Facebook deal for a free large queso. We arrived and the restaurant was empty not one person, and the waiters didn't even notice us walk in sitting at a table. We asked to sit outside because it was freezing inside. The waiter was clearly annoyed and vocalized it. Pretty odd when we're your only customers. We noticed a sign on the way in that it was taco Tuesday and street tacos would be $2.99 each. We ordered six tacos and 2 things of rice and beans. So the bill comes, and I'm charged full price for everything on top of 10$ per two tacos because of "rice and beans" with no mention of the up charge. Then I show the waiter the coupon, he literally snatched my phone and looked at it and disregarded it completely and then disappeared and charged me full price for every single thing when he ran my card. Tacos weren't discounted for Tuesday, queso was full price, and the service was awful. Food is pretty good, portions are good, staff and management are worse than most gas stations. As my husband said when we walked out...it's just another Mexican place. Mind you nothing was wrong with our food it's just nothing was outstanding either. We had the street tacos and arroz con pollo. Street tacos were grilled steak, grilled chicken and the queso fresco they were all good but not good enough to bring me back. Overall a good meal. It's a very run-of-the-mill Middle America Mexican diner experience. The usual fair of fajitas and enchilladas, etc. The staff were eager to please, if a little discombobulated. I got the impression they meant very well, but also weren't entirely sure how a restaurant works yet. That was OK, though. Enthusiasm sometimes trumps experience as long as what needs doing gets done well enough. The food was ok. I had a chicken chimi. The chicken wasn't anything special. But it also wasn't bad. Just some average little strips. Really all the side dishes were about the same. Not outstanding and not bad. I'd eat here again if I were in the area. No real complaints. This was our first time here. They had a special on the loaded fajitas and I loved them! The amount of meat and veggies was perfect. You get to choose your sides. I got rice and beans. The beans came in a tortilla shell. Loved that. The food was hot and tasteful. It was a great portion. The queso tastes good as well. My wife got carnitas, steak, and pastor tacos with cilantro line rice. She likes them but said they needed a crème added as they were a little dry. The atmosphere was good. Sadly I wasn't too impressed with quesos. I have friends that love it and recommended it to me. Everyone except me got the arroz con pollo so maybe that is where I went wrong! I decided to get the chicken fajitas. I ordered mine well done on the veggies, which I wouldn't say I got. I did like how much chicken was given for the fajitas. Sadly they didn't come out smoking and fragrant as most fajita skillets usually do. The toppings were also a bit on the skin side. Maybe a tablespoon of guac and sour cream, if that. Had dinner here tonight with some friends after a soccer game. Make sure to bring your kids in their sports uniform and you'll receive a free small Queso for the table and what's better than free queso! Everyone one in party enjoyed their entrees - I really like their Fajita quesadilla with chicken. It had big chunks of chicken and veggies and black beans with onion and cilantro have a ton of flavor. My friend and I had the house margarita and we agreeed it was delicious.
