We loved the water park at Quest! We took three pre-teen boys to the park and they had a blast. The "blob" was so fun to launch them skyward, and they loved the giant obstacle course. The slides and the swings were great, too. Being able to bring our own food helped us save some money, and all the people there were extremely friendly and supportive. The "big kids" were so nice to our kids and it made for a really nice environment. Will definitely be back. read more

We came here for a birthday party, and it was about $27 each (including tax) for unlimited access to the blob, stand up paddle boards, and 1 hour of the inflatable obstacle course. I did not think this was worth the price. If you decide to do this, I would highly recommend wearing shorts and water shoes because the inflatable obstacle course was super hot and dry and tons of people had their skin peeling off when they went down the slides. It would be awesome if the obstacle course could be sprayed down every 30 minutes or something so there wasn't so much friction/the soles of your feet didn't feel like they were burning off. They only had one set of stairs to get out of the water (they were near the blob), and the stairs were super broken. Decided to pay the extra $40 (not including tax) for wake boarding ($25 for 2 hours, $15 for helmet/board/life jacket rental). It was my first time seeing wake boarding with just cables. This was totally worth the price!! It was a lot of our first times trying and we all managed to stand and wakeboard all the way across the lake on the beginner course. The staff member controlling the cables gave good tips. Some of our friends went to the advanced course as well! Kind of concerned about the age/wear of the equipment though, because the rope just completely snapped the first time one of our friends tried, and a staff member said she noticed the rope fraying earlier and was wondering how many more uses they could get out of it. They had shady areas with benches. You can bring your own food and drinks. They also have a food truck with burgers/hot dogs/chicken and waffles and shaved ice, but service was pretty slow. They had showers in the bathroom. You drive up a dirt/gravel road for about 5 minutes to get in. Plenty of parking. The staff members were friendly! read more

We sent my 16 year old and his friend there for a week of Summer Wake Board Camp. They came home the first day and said it sucked. They were stuck with 10 year olds and didn't have fun. I suggested that my Wife contact them and she did. Apparently they took to heart that their job was to entertain these kids and give them a FUN experience. They came home the second day and both agreed that it was much better. They had been separated from the younger kids and had much more fun. Apparently they helped send off some of the younger kids and found it funny when one hit his head (hey, that's how kids are). At the end of the week they were both sore (which is great, it got them doing something physical) and had some blisters on their hands (even though we got ski gloves for our kid). They also both want to go again sometime for a day visit. This an example of a facility taking constructive criticism and using it to make everyone happy. Quest Waterpark and Wakeboarding is a lot of fun and quite the workout! I've been 2 times and really enjoy the obstacle course. That's actually the only thing we did this time. Some of the inflatables could use a little more air but you'll have a great time. They also have a giant slide and wakeboarding that you hold on to the cables above the water. As a concerned parent, I wasn't comfortable with continuing the camp I set up for my son during covid. My son has asthma and they weren't social distancing. They weren't understanding to my concerns and needs. They wanted me to take a credit and use it next year . I don't know what next year brings. I wasn't happy about how it handled and how they approached this . I understand this is hard for all us and all of us are experiencing our own struggles as a result. However , being customer forward and listening to the customers concerns is important regardless of their contract and policies. Beware, when you book this camp, there are no refunds no matter what you are experiencing personally or any devastation occurs such as this pandemic . I won't be returning to this outdoor water park. There are too many business's out there who are grateful to have your business and understanding when there is a devastation that occurs and your plans and concerns change as a result. read more

Everyone in Austin needs to go here. Such a great water park, with such a great staff, at very reasonable prices. It's about a 20 min drive outside of town, down a dirt road - look for the business sign. It's a cable wakeboarding Park, and the staff is very helpful and great teachers. They can get you up on the board in one or two tries even if you've never wakeboarded. They also have a blob, a giant water slide, and a water obstacle course. For a full day pass on all the activities, plus all the gear rentals - $60! Unbeatable for some good clean fun. You can also bring drinks or food, and they serve a few there as well. Would really recommend to the business marketing it to bachelor parties, maybe get a food truck out there on Saturdays. Would love to see them excel out there! read more

Super fun! It was me and my 8 yr old daughters 1st time wake boarding. They were super helpful and we had a blast. We got a great deal on Groupon and would definitely go again. I was very impressed with Quest ATX. They were extremely courteous, professional and helpful. They have a beginner course for wakeboarding with instructions from the staff. The main wakeboarding course is awesome and goes almost all around the lake. They have ramps to jump or you can go around them. The water park with obstacle course and water slides were great. We brought a picnic lunch and ate at one of the 3 covered picnic areas. Our kid's loved it. They will remember this for the rest of their lives. We will definitely be back again!! Booked this for a week for 2 kids. Started out when I called and was told I was going to get a call back asap because I wanted to book next week and never received the call. I finally called back and booked everything myself and was told explicitly and repeatedly how much they lather the kids with sunscreen. Now,, In my experience when someone volunteers information about an unsolicited topic it's usually because they have had problems in the past. I wasn't wrong. Both kids came back sunburned. The younger one didn't want to return as a result and they wouldn't refund the money. I was offered credit... after explaining i am from out of town and that would be useless to me. So if you have younger kids 10 and under just be aware that no one monitors their sunblock "lathering". Anyone who deals with kids understands that a 10 year old would be unable to keep monitoring and putting on their own sunblock. I will say the concept is great and my older kid had a great time. They also accommodate allergies, hence the two stars. read more

My boys had a blast for 4 hours here today. We bought the day pass for $50. They were able to do the new slides which they loved, the obstacle course and rope swing with blob unlimited throughout the day. Everyone who works here is so friendly and interactive with the kids. Came here with a few friends this past Thursday to try the "waterpark". We bought our waterpark tickets online for $15 + tax per person for a 50 minute session. Staff were friendly and moved our session time to the next hour for us because we were running late (we called). Waterpark inflatables: We had to swim out to it and the water was not the cleanest (bugs, weeds) but it's not something they can really control. Not the largest obstacle course yet it will keep you busy the whole time. Life-jackets are provided and required, as an avid swimmer I really didn't want to wear one but soon I was thankful because you do tire out really quick from constant falling and swimming back up (in my case)- it's nice to just float a bit in the water to rest between activities. Quest ATX: We were pleasantly surprised with the restrooms, very clean and there was showers with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash! There was also a food truck near the water and seating areas. I heard you can rent a paddle-board for $9 but the waterbody isn't that large so we didn't opt in. Overall: Solid place, we will definitely be coming back to try the wakeboards. read more

Brought my youngest for a week of camp...which he loved; however, when I said I was planning to purchase day passes for his brothers ($59/kid...so almost $120) on the last day, they said I could bring them at 12pm...but that my camper would have to pay for a day pass to stay beyond 3pm on that day. I sent 2 of my kids to summer camp. By end of day one, they were working on wakeboading already. Place have shower and restroom with sink, shades with bench. Cordinator for camp is laid back amd approachable, kids liked him alot. My younger one had misunderstanding during first day, and started crying saying he does not want to do it anymore. Corninator addressed the issue and helped my younger one to better understand that the issue was just misunderstanding, and made sure kid can come to him if any problem. Cordinator took care of it, and my kid was back to happy kid. This is additional, but I had flat tire on the way to come pick up my kids oneday (off road, it is rough gravel road to get to the site) and 2 of staff helped me change flat tire... it wa hot, too far to call for AAA, I started to try my own...and I was not doing it right... so that was plus from me. Make sure to bring plenty of drink (they do sell it too if you forget) and sunscreen. Rush gard is a plus to avoid sunburn. If you wear bikini, shorts on top of it may help painful bottoms at the end of day after falling in your behind on water. Everything else is there, you do not need anything else. Knee board, paddle boat also available. For first timer, they will teach you of course, and can try at cable that runs straight, going back and forth. Once confortable, you can move on to circle cable. If you go in the morning, He said it is camp speed which is slower than later day (full speed). This is update from my previous review. This place is improving, more shades, more table, etc... matter of one week, its been improved alot. From parents view who send kids to camp, it was awesome!! Very laid back, on kids own pace, Jerry will encourage kids, but not forceful at all. One of my kid loved it so much, asked to come back next day after 5 days of camp. Other kid who is not so much athletic compared to the other kid, still she gave this whole camp experience 200%!! She is slow to pick up skill, but with Jerry, I feel comfortable even in future because he is really approachable for kids, and has heart, yet encourage to work on. Jerry even got my kid birthday cake since it was his birthday the day before, and all kids had a sw eet break with cake. I appreciate his kindness with kids. I learned there are more wakeboarding place near me, but I will recommend this place for everyone and I myself take this place over any closer location. read more

NOT the same as behind a boat, but that's not why it's getting 2 stars. And not saying I didn't have a good time (but I'm very easy going), but definitely did not meet expectations. So the bad: First off, not great directions since it's on an unmarked road on Google Maps and there's no signs to continue on it all the way to Quest. Some folks working there (blonde hair, camo shorts on 8/14) were just not very helpful or welcoming. During mid-day summer, the kid campers there slow down the entire line, you'd think they would give priority to the ones who aren't there all day, all summer. There's no clear system of order - we walked up to the dock, not knowing how to get on the cable and the employees (blonde girl and tatted guy) just kinda looked at us without saying anything - maybe they assumed we had done it before? They shouldn't assume anyway. Majority of the time, you're just trying to actually get up from the start or trying to hold on around the whip lashing turns, then you wait in the water to get picked up. The cable kept getting stuck so for 30 of our 120 minutes, we couldn't even keep the line moving to wake board. Yes, you still pay full price. The good: When you get up, it's exciting! MOST (Kristina, Carlo, and the brunette girl) employees were very friendly and gave us great tips. They have $15 for Ladies night including the rental. $15 seems more reasonable, if only it were that all the time. Especially not worth the $25 uber/Lyft each way. So don't make the trip if you're visiting Austin. It was recommended to us by two super stoked guys - not what I'd recommend to anyone. All in all, not worth $100 for two people to get up on a wake board, have no wake to play on, go in circles, and have a stiff neck for three days from all the yanking and falling. Weird experience, probably never need to do that again. read more

Quest ATX, My family and I celebrated my daughter's 10th birthday at Quest and it was a blast. From start to finish everyone was excited and had such a great time. The owner's/staff were very accommodating and made sure we were happy. The restrooms were nice and had a rinse off shower for after the water. It is such a great family-friendly environment and a bonus---you get to be surrounded by adorable dogs :) You can bring your pet, enjoy the inflatable park, rope swing in the water, bounce on the blob and learn how to wakeboard and get pulled on the cable (if you do well and feel comfortable after the training cable). One of the cool activity places in Austin that I still consider a hidden gem. There is a lot of great things to do in Austin, but as the city grows there is a lot of overcrowding with certain activities. Quest has managed to stay off the radar though, but I am not quite sure why. Their water obstacle course is the main draw for us, but when attending on 4th of July they told us for $25 more we could get a day pass that included the slides, paddle boards, the blob, and rope swings. $40 per person for the day was certainly not a bad deal considering everything we go. Even though it was 4th of July and we got a firework show included in that price it was still not crowded in the least. I waited about 3 minutes for the slides and that was the longest wait that could even be considered. It also appears that they have been expanding and working to improve the facility so that is something that I always like to see. read more

I came here with a Groupon my sister-in-law got my boyfriend and I. I have never been wakeboarding before so I fell a few hundred times before I finally got it down. I had 3 different people instruct me on how to wakeboard properly and Josh was definitely the best. He was a great instructor he gave advice to my boyfriend and I on how to do better. This place is very easy to miss, so make sure when your getting close to pay attention. They should have a better walking path because in the wood there are holes and nails sticking up. The floating obstacle course is pretty fun but can get hot. I understand that this is Texas weather we are talking about here but maybe they could have some water run on the slides when it is hot, just a suggestion. I do really like how the adults can wakeboard and other stuff while if the kids don't want to do that can go on the aqua park. I have been in the floating obstacle course and found that the life jacket is of course a great way to stay safe but can get hard if you are trying to get back up, but that being said I am not a child so I can not judge how that works out for kids. I really like the whole concept of Quest I just wish there were better signs getting in, they are small and pretty easy to miss. Otherwise I think that all the staff are nice to people who come here frequently and to new-comers. I just really wish that the path was fixed up a little bit and not have so many wholes in the wood. Also I noticed that the floating obstacle course was in the middle of the lake. I don't see why there isn't some sort of path that is part of the obstacle to get over or if the obstacle course was moved closer. Otherwise they staff that are at cable lake are super friendly and give you tips. This place is super laidback and great for families who like the outdoors and water. Quest ATX is one of those places that is easy to miss. In way south Austin off of 183, it's very unlikely that you would drive down this stretch of road unless you lived there, or were traveling through, in which case you'd say 'Oh, wakeboarding - I've always wanted to try that', as you drive on by and promptly forget. Nay, nay. You would be missing out. So when you do go, here's what to expect...first, in case you don't know the difference between wakeboarding and wakesurfing (I didn't), wakeboarding is the kind that uses the same triangle-shaped handle you'd use in waterskiing, but you're pulled by a motorized cable, not a boat (pulled by a boat = wakesurfing). To get there you'll be driving down a gravel driveway, so now is not the time for low-low rides and fresh car washes; it's down and dirty time. Entering the main building, you'll see several TVs showing extreme sports, gear for sale, and the front desk. As with any extreme sport, you'll be asked to sign your life away on a waiver, but then you're given a helmet, so it kinda evens out. If you forgot your sunscreen, there's a variety of community sunscreen you can choose from, which was cool. If you're new, as I was, you'll be routed around the corner for a life jacket and board fitting. Then you go to the there-and-back cable, the bunny hill of wakeboarding. You walk through some ishy-squishy mud until you get to the dock, and you learn (by explanation, trial & error), how to get up on that crazy board, either straight from the water or from the dock itself. The instructor controls your wakeboarding speed, and will likely challenge you to faster and faster speeds, as you show that you can hang. This is good, because if you want to graduate to the big-kid cables that start from a dock, go round in circles and have lots of crazy [optional] obstacles, you'd better be able to go fast. I was there with a large group of newbies, and every single one of us got up on that board. The instructor was encouraging and explained things well. We all cheered each other on, while watching all the nearby hot shots go around in circles, doing any number of different insane tricks. It was fun to do, and fun to watch. Afterwards, the shower room was a highly welcome way to clean up, change clothes, and get ready to go out for drinks with bragging rights. The pricing has a lot of options, similar in marketing to many yoga studios: You want a punch card, monthly, or yearly options? Done, done & done, so take your pick. Private or group beginner lessons? Ditto. They even have a Ladies Night. I had so much fun, I will definitely go back (though on warmer days, 'cause it's all outside). If the idea intrigues you, definitely give it a shot. read more
