I rescheduled an appointment and the staff was quite unpleasant, very little customer service, and definitely not friendly. Not my first time here, but today Irving checked me in and my phlebotomist was Marian. She was very easy going and charismatic.Had an appointment and waited maybe 10 15 minutes. Every time I've been here all employees I've interacted with are very nice. Haven't seen anyone getting mistreated in any way. If anything I've seen employees put up with patients catching attitudes and getting all in their feelings. Today an older gentleman snapped because he didn't have his glasses therefore, he refused to check in at kiosk and rejected all help to reschedule his appointment. He literally was there no more than a couple minutes and all he did was give the girl at the door a hard time. She handled the situation very well. Really felt bad for both. read more

If I could leave no stars at this Quest, I would. One of the lab techs in the facility, Teresa , is extremely confrontational and disrespectful not only to healthcare professionals who are dropping off lab work for patients, but the actual patients that come into the building. She is condescending towards patients and speaks very low to them Including and nurses that come in to deliver blood. She has a very rude tone of voice when speaking with her and will deliberately make you wait longer. If you come to this lab, be prepared to be spoken to like a child. They also never have their ducks in a row when it comes to dropping off lab work. They misplace paper work , they don't check people in correctly, and they basically tell you you're SOL if you don't have everything in line. Extremely unhelpful and lazy. I waited almost 45 mins once just to drop off blood!! Teresa Jeffers also criticizes and belittles staff in front of patients, out in the open where everyone can hear. It's embarrassing. She will answer your questions with questions which is very disrespectful as well. She speaks to everyone like they are children and acts like she is allowed to speak to people the way that she does. Came in today as a walkin for fasting labs. Arrived at 7:45am they open at 8am I was like 9th person in line. Once they opened the doors everyone signed it they called you up individually to get your paperwork and insurance card info. It took about an hour total but at least the Phlebotomist was good and didn't hurt me. read more

Worst experience ever. I made a mistake on the date of my appointment. Since they were Completely Empty I asked since my paper was already there could they please see me as I had a doctors appointment Monday. Get this again there was no one there and the parking lot was almost empty, I did see people go into urgent care next door. I came to get bloodwork done here, when I arrived I was checking in. The receptionist was so rude when she asked for my insurance card. She started snapping her fingers when I was looking for it in my purse. I wanted to tell her to stop being rude but I just ignored it. I swear this was the worst receptionist ever. My family and I have been coming to this Quest since it's the closest, always had an appointment. I completely understand that everyone is understaffed and I sympathize with workers. However, the amount attitude these workers have towards everyone that walks into this facility, appointment or not is unbelievable. I've witnessed elderly people walk in and are clearly lost and unaware what to do and get short rude answers. Patients who are rude deserve that kind of treatment but don't dish it to everyone else that walks into your facility. I've had to go to other Quest recently due to limited availability of appointments and those Quest are also understaffed but the staff has always kept their composure and still managed to be cordial and helpful. Never coming back to this location. If you come here except to get rude attitudes and unhelpful staff regardless of whether you're nice to them or not. read more

Very rude to elderly people they took so long to call people a lady asked they can have a chair for the elder people that have been standing for so long the technician rudely said "no". I have been coming here for about a year. I come every 3 months, unfortunately. With that said, this is a great location. Place is always clean, receptionists are efficient, wait time is relatively short; I've never waited over 20min. And, technicians are kind, efficient, and seem genuine/personable. This is the worst inefficient lab place EVER! For walk ins they took 1.5 hours to ask for your lab work and then proceeded to tell me that my labs would take 2 hours and they cannot accommodate me! If they didn't take 1.5 hours to ask for lab work then I would've came back early in the morning. They are lazy and inefficient and slow! Do NOT come here for labs! Not a fan of this location. These phlebotomist need more training. I had to bite my tongue watching them butcher my kids arm. This guy just stuck the needle in his arm without finding a vein, and he wondered why no blood was coming through. He kept pulling and twisting the needle in and out of my sons arm. If you couldn't find the vein why would you still do it. He didn't even bother to check his other arm to see if that would work better. And the bathrooms were filthy, with no toilet paper. Facility was clean. Apparently they fixed thier appointment issue. As a walk in i waited well over and hour and watched countless others arrive later and be seen sooner. So i assume all the complaints about not needing an appointment are invalid. There were no names on walk ins when i came in. About 3 names on appointment. But countless people were seen before me that arrived later. So on this date, appointments win. So make an appointment. I don't know what to say. Everyone said it didn't matter if I had an appointment but with no names ahead of me I saw quite a few people arrive after me that were seen before me. All current reviews are 100% real; and generally I trust Yelp enough to either do business with said company or I can somehow manage to give them a chance based on the type of industry the business is in etc. In this case, I decided to bypass Yelp reviews and go for the kill assuming that no one likes waiting reasonable wait time or getting blood work etc. PLUS I live right down the street, so this is local to me. HOWEVER; the actual wait times were horrible! I arrived around 9:30AM and left nearly around noon. I did not have an appointment, and I was fasting so I had no choice but to swallow it and wait. I waited, and observed how inbound customers were treated, and sadly to say it's bad! Bad customer service, it's certainly a rude approach to everything. "There's a sign here, stating so" -- "Your doctor should of told you" -- "Your doctor should of told you our hours" and so on. There's no customer service in this place when it comes to greeting/meeting and working with inbound customers, and the employees in the back are neutral which is the only positive side to it, as such I've allocated two stars. This place could improve only if, they improve on their customer service and up the speed of service. There's no reason an operation with such known brand has this many negative reviews/experiences, nothing is positive for this location. Fix it! I've been to this location twice to get my blood drawn. Checking in was easy and the lady at the front was helpful and polite. Right now during Covid it seemed clean and sanitized inside the lobby and where they drawn blood. I've always been terrified of getting my blood drawn. Tess was the one who drew my blood both times Ive been there and she is very comforting and talked to me to keep me distracted the whole time. Tess did great and I hardly felt anything. read more

When I arrived a man greeted me at the door and was very kind but the receptionist was yelling across the room saying my sister and I were not allowed inside because we didn't have an appointment. The man had proceeded to give us numbers and let us in because there was literally NOBODY IN THE WAITING ROOM!! But then the lady kept saying if we ever go back we have to make an appointment or we can't go inside. Her name is Jackie but she would give me a lot of attitude when asking me for paperwork. And I would hear the phone ring a few times and she wouldn't answer it, she would just ignore it. This place is terrible, something always goes wrong. The ladies on the front who conveniently have their name tags facing the wrong way were no help. First time I came they lost my insurance Information that I didn't carry on me so another day then... This time I needed to have a glucose tolerance test done and you have a child in kindergarten they'll basically tell me that I'm SOL there's nothing they can do they can't see me after lunch either. The heavy white lady at the front desk needs to check her attitude. It's not fun having your blood drawn so you should at least have some compassion for patients and not roll your eyes, the attitude is not necessary. She was very condescending, another patient checking in asked where to put their name and she pointed to a tablet and said 'uh where it says name' and rolled her eyes. Let me start off that this place doesn't even deserve 1 star!!! Yes, I will highly agree with everyone's reviews about customer service!! I hope with this review they will do a change or I will just take it to corporate. This review is due to observation and how they treated my mother. First off I get it that they are trying to catch up with technology and putting kiosk to check in but here is where they lack on their customer service. First of all we all know that 80 percent of the patients that go are Middle age, elderly and hispanic that have some or no experience on how to use a computer and most don't own one at home and I have seen kiosk are being used in doctor's office, labs, dmv, and at fast foods but as I observe the times that I have taken my mother that I walk in go straight to kiosk put the info what they are asking and it checks you in and you see your name on the tv screen with all the others that are there waiting to be called. I observe two middle age couple up at the kiosk (tablet) trying to put there info into the computer (kiosk) and they look so confused they would look at the girls that were behind the counter to see if at least one would help but nope not one didn't even bother they just went on doing whatever they were doing and this couple was standing there with frustration in their faces. I don't even recall if the couple said a word to the girls in the front because they were at the computer doing something some were running from the back to get papers or calling other patients but that couple stood there for quite sometime probably trying there best to fill the info that was required. I mean c'mon quest lab employees if you see somebody having trouble with the kiosk at least have the courtesy and help those that can't. You know that the majority of your patients have no clue on how to use the kiosk even if they have been there multiple times they are still going to have problems have a heart and help those in need!! Now here is where my mother comes into the picture she went to get her labs done the other day and this time I did not go with her and she is one that knows some what how to check in but still struggles to put the correct info so of course she filled all the info the best she could and sat down and waited for her turn now mind you she went in at around 11 something before the techs went to there lunch break I guess at 12 and there wasn't that many patients waiting so she notice that people were being called in and she wasn't so she patiently waited to see if they would call her and some techs were getting ready to leave to lunch and still nothing I mean I'm sure these girls behind the counter knew that they had a person in the waiting area which was my mother and she was the only one there and you would think that they would say something to her but nope they just continue doing what they were doing before going to lunch so my mother said to herself what's going on why are they not calling me in seems that they are about to close for lunch and don't care if I'm here so she went up to the counter told them she was waiting and whatever employee that said to her did you check in at the kiosk and my mother said yes and she took a look and said to her oh you put something incorrect so my mother corrected and that's when they took her in. But you mean to tell me that because my mother typed in something incorrect your not going to check to see why she is sitting there while your about to close to go to lunch!! Damn does this place even give a s**t about people I know that QUEST DIAGNOSTICS Owner/President of the company must care on who they hire to represent their company because some of the employees at this facility need to be examined and retrained them on their customer service skills!! I have dealt with quest diagnostics before, but apparently this time they have failed me. The only reason for me to write this review is to inform others that they may be trying to pull a scam. I recently had a procedure a few months ago with my doctor who used Quest Diagnostics as their lab. My medical insurance has a contract with QD. Which means that QD charges for a procedure done at a flat rate amount. But the contract between the two parties shows an amount for that procedure at a different amount and they cannot bill for the remaining balance. For example, today I get a bill from Quest Diagnostics telling me that I owe a balance. I call their 800# on the invoice and the customer service rep is trying to tell me that the amount owed is this is my copay for my secondary Ins. When I tell her that I don't have two insurances I only have one. I also explained I don't have to pay anything for this procedure. She begins to look up my info and tells me she didn't show any of my medical Ins info. However, she does see that my insurance did pay a portion (which is the contract amount) and it's my responsibility to pay the remaining difference. I told her again that I should not have pay anything. Now instead of her doing her job and calling my insurance to verify information, she tella me that I have to call my insurance myself and figure out why. When I called my insurance company, they notified me that there is a contract between them. The insurance representative also informed me that it is against the law (in CA, not sure if it's period or just my state) for QD to bill me for the remaining balance, because of their contact. So, instead of QD CSR actually doing her job, I had to do her job for her so I don't get billed and more and cleared up this matter without be not getting paid for all time I did. I cannot begin to express how frustrating it is when people do not do their jobs efficiently and correctly. When you are getting paid to do a job you should be able to do your job effectively without at the expense of somebody else's wallet and time. Hopefully, this is the last time QD pulls a fast one like this! read more

My mom and daughter both went in to Quest Diagnostics for a unique lab work on Sierra Lake Parkway. The receptionist fail to tell us there should be no eating or drinking an hour prior of the lab test. After we found out the tests on both patients were done incorrectly, I connected Patty Sanchez via several text, phone calls and left messages. Ms. Sanchez failed to return any communication with me. Based on not returning my calls and text, I went to the lab in person and the receptionist called Patty Sanchez and immediately Ms Sanchez picked up the phone. I gave her the name of the lab work and explain both patients ate and drank before taking the lab work. Ms. Sanchez basically stated it was not her problem and I needed to contact the doctor and the insurance company. The behavior of Ms. Sanchez should alarm any patients who goes to the lab. I am planning on report her to the state because medical issues should be taken seriously and in a timely manner. read more

Waited almost 2 hours to get called in and there wasn't even a lot of people there. The phlebotomist jammed the needle in and kept moving it and twisting it around. it was hurting the whole time. He was clearly nervous because he was sweating so much and it was freezing cold in there. He took out so much blood from one arm and decided to jam my other arm because my "blood was coming out too slow". I started feeling really lightheaded and dizzy because it was so much blood taken out already and thankfully he stopped. He just walked out the room for 10 min, came back and said they might have to call me to come back and get MORE blood work done. I went exactly a week ago and I'm glad I haven't gotten a call!!
