I needed to get my glucose test done, so I booked it here anyway. I was able to book it online and book it for an appointment first thing in the morning which was nice because I didn't want to have to fast for too long. For the glucose test, I had to sit in the lobby for a couple hours. I thought it was a bit odd they had me sit in the lobby for it and not in a back room, but it was fine cuz I ended up being okay. The guy that took my blood each time was so nice and friendly. He was great! And did a great job finding my veins. Sometimes that can be hard cuz apparently I have small ones and when I'm fasting it's even harder haha. But he was really nice and encouraging. Probably one of the best experiences I had here which was nice since I had to sit out in the lobby for a couple hours.

Fair warning, this place fills up pretty quickly, when I pulled into the parking lot at 6:30, there was already four or five people standing in line. I went in at 6:45 and the line was nine people deep. They're very prompt, and the doors opened right away at 7:00 a.m., and everybody lined up in front of the check-in kiosk. Process went pretty quickly and names were called right away to head back. I think I was seated for no more than 5 minutes before my name was called, they asked for driver's license and insurance card and then gave me a piece of paper and told me to head back. The ladies in the back were very nice and professional. Honestly? This was one of the most painless blood draws I've ever had. She was very skilled and made the process very simple. I had to give a urine sample, as they only have one restroom in the blood draw room. I had to go across the hallway, not a big deal, although I don't like wandering around with a cup of urine in my hand. But I went back in and dropped it into the little white basket and how it was on my way. Bottom line? I don't know about the other LabCorps in the area but this one is at the top of my list. Bonus points. It's in the same medical building as my doctor, so I can kill two birds with one stone when I need to. Need to get blood drawn and are a patient of that facility. You are in luck!

And this quest was definitely one of them. I had an appointment for 12:30. I got there about 15 after and about 12:35 they were able to take me. The whole thing went less than 6 minutes. It was crowded, difficult to find (inside a hospital) and the staff is clearly stressed. The woman who did my blood draw (a younger woman with glasses and fake lashes, I don't know her name) messed up on my first arm and my vein collapsed. NEVER had that happen before. I'm healthy and vascular, medical staff usually say it's easy to draw from me because of it. I've never had a vein collapse before. She then tried to insinuate that I must be dehydrated when I'd been fasting for 12 hours and had drank three bottles of water since waking, and even walked in to the draw with a bottle of water. She then switched to my second arm to finish the draw. She failed to tape the cotton properly to me after. The tape kept trying to come off and blood was running down my arm as I went to the elevator. I had to use the tape from the first arm (which luckily didn't bleed) to shoddily tape down the other side. About 12 hours later appear, I have small hematomas forming. I'm pissed as hell since this might interrupt my workout schedule. Both my arms are sore and I iced them immediately after getting home. Do NOT go here. Go to any other Quest. I've never had this happen at their other locations around Vegas. Spare yourself.

Phone number is (702) 382-4522. It didn't take long to drive my brother to the new location. A staff member was present at the front check in desk area. She was pleasant and helpful. Once providing identification and proof of insurance, it didn't take long for my brother to be called back for phlebotomy services. I ensured that the walk in lab draw was going to be sent off and was ordered STAT. My brother suddenly had lost his vision and it was imperative for the surgeon to have the lab results prior to initiating. The phlebotomist was courteous letting me know that she was labeling the test tubes STAT as ordered. This CPL experience was definitely a positive one!! Patients are able to log in to a portal to access their lab results. This particular new location at 3007 W. Horizon was clean and organized, with pleasant, efficient professional staff members that accommodated a walk-in client in less than 30 minutes start to finish! I personally would utilize and recommend this CPL location for future phlebotomy needs. It was definitely reassuring being able to access and track lab results through the patient portal over a weekend prior to surgery.

My doctor needed updated lab work, so I went with the closest location after seeing Labcorp listed…read moreon my paperwork. Finding it was easy because the giant letters on the building practically scream, "We're over here!" Unfortunately, once you walk inside, the enthusiasm ends there. The office is tucked into a tiny section of the building, and it definitely looks like it's seen better decades. After checking in on the touchscreen kiosks, you're directed to a waiting area that is unbelievably small. It feels less like a medical office and more like being trapped in a very awkward elevator with strangers. There's nowhere to look except directly into everyone else's face, so naturally everyone avoids eye contact while pretending the walls are fascinating. While I was waiting, a poor lady was getting frustrated because they couldn't find her lab orders in the system. Thankfully, I brought my paperwork, which apparently qualified me as the prepared student in class. The reception staff were genuinely kind and professional. You can tell they deal with a lot every day, and honestly, the cramped waiting room probably doesn't help. When patients are packed together like sardines, everyone's stress level goes up--including the employees'. Labcorp should consider investing in better facilities. The staff deserve a workspace that doesn't feel like they're trying to break the world record for "Most Patients Fit Into One Tiny Room." Then came the urine test. You walk through another door into...an even smaller waiting area. I honestly didn't think that was physically possible. The room looked even more worn down, with missing trim around the doorway and plenty of cosmetic damage. As I stood there waiting for the only restroom to become available, my brain started wandering. "If they're cutting corners on the things I can actually see...what corners are they cutting that I can't see?" Not exactly the comforting thoughts you want before handing over a specimen cup. After successfully completing my Olympic-level urine sample, I turned it into what looked suspiciously like a Dollar Tree plastic basket lined with paper towels. Functional? Sure. Fancy? Not exactly. I half expected someone to ring me up at the register. Back in the main waiting room, I was called surprisingly fast. This is where the experience completely turned around. My phlebotomist, Lena, was fantastic. She greeted me with a smile, introduced herself, explained exactly what she was going to do, and had an energy level that could probably power the entire building. She found my vein almost instantly, handed me a stress ball to help calm my nerves, and made the blood draw quick and painless. She was professional, friendly, and clearly excellent at her job. While she was drawing my blood, though, I couldn't help noticing stained ceiling tiles that appeared to have water damage--and possibly mold--and a blood draw room that looked as tired as the rest of the facility. It honestly made me feel bad for the employees more than anything. They deserve a clean, updated workplace that reflects the quality of care they're providing. The people working here are doing the best they can with what they've been given, and it shows. My criticism isn't directed at the staff--it's directed at corporate. Spend a little less on cost-cutting and a little more on giving your employees a facility they can be proud of. Patients notice these things, and more importantly, your employees deserve better.

The desert landscaping is cute and well-maintained! Inside, the building is spacious, clean, plus staff is friendly, and always willing to help. Most recently, I had a CT scan with dye and this was my first. The CT scan dye is different than an MRI with dye, so FYI. Part of the prep was to drink lots and lots of water starting an hour before the procedure and then again more water afterwards, including bringing a water bottle with me. Since I was wearing stretchy clothes, I could keep them on and only needed to take off any metal, including my bra. There are numerous lockers in the imaging waiting room, that I could lock away my bra and water bottle, then take the key with me. I always take my purse/valuables into the imaging room. Once in the room, I signed some paperwork, and the attendant asked if I had allergies and on rare occasions, a person could be allergic to the iodine dye used on the CT scan. She administered an IV on my selected arm (right) and when it was time, ran a little contrast into my vein to test and all was good (if there was a reaction, an itchy feeling in my throat could come up). When the full contrast is injected, I experienced a warm feeling all over. It faded within a minute or two, and then I just felt myself again. The CT machine is a donut vs an MRI tunnel. The CT machine is very fast; the whole procedure took about 15 minutes. There is a computer voice that talks and tells me what to do as the table gets pulled in and out of the donut.
