I dread getting bloodwork done and don't like needles AT ALL, but I was diagnosed with a vitamin D deficiency last summer and I requested a recheck at my latest wellness checkup to see if my levels were improving or not. My primary care provider couldn't do same day bloodwork at their office because I had already eaten beforehand, so they ordered tests and I was advised to fast for 10 hours. Alongside this vitamin D recheck, I also received a lipid panel. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I wanted to get in first thing in the morning so I could fast overnight, but all early morning times were booked up over several weeks.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Normally I visit the Quest on Mountain Vista, but then I learned that this Quest is across the street from my boot camp gym and I decided to book my appointment in the early morning right after getting my workout in. Quest on Horizon Ridge and Carnegie is located way in the back of the parking lot. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Note that they do not have a front office receptionist, just a check-in screen. For a quick check-in, scan your driver's license and insurance card at this screen.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The waiting room is a little tiny with about eight or so chairs total, however. If it's busy, you can choose to leave and come back 10 minutes prior to the start of your appointment. Right after I got myself checked in, I was called back about 15 minutes before my scheduled appointment time. Talk about speedy right there. The phlebotomist I saw was extremely nice and helpful, plus the big window they had in the room she was in made my procedure easy and comfortable. It took longer than I was used to because multiple tests were being done on me, requiring multiple test tubes. Towards the end, I did start feeling squeamish because my blood started making these weird squishing noises as it was being loaded into one of the test tubes. And before you know it, my procedure was finished and I was sent on my way. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I was very satisfied that I've officially decided to make the switch from Mountain Vista to Horizon Ridge. On the downside, it's a very tiny, very dingy office. No receptionist, just a computer screen to check in on. Waiting area is very cramped, and the hall to the couple of rooms is super narrow. Honestly, I'll probably go back to the Green Valley location, much more spacious. However, in spite of all of the negatives about what should be a nice location near 7 hills, there was one huge positive. The gal that took my blood was named Roxana. She was pleasant, professional, and very efficient. Found my vein immediately, one very painless jab later, retrieved the vials she needed in less than 2 minutes. [[HIGHLIGHT]]She, was amazing. If I have the ability to request her by name for the next time, I will go back, in spite of the cramped quarters.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I don't know who out there from Quest reads these things, but Roxana was A+ In a Las Vegas that has changed from a very nice place in 1990, to Baltimore West in 2025, it was refreshing to actually find a skilled technician that didn't look like she was pulled from some alleyway. I don't know what you are paying this woman, but it's not enough. You need a hundred more just like her. read more

The shades hanging over the door is in shambles and needs to be removed and replaced. Entry waiting room is very dark. I would never come here again. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The phlebotomist was nice, I even asked her which arm looked best to draw from. She used two tourniquets.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] however several hours after my blood draw I experienced pain. Now a week later I can barely use my arm, nerve pain, muscle weakness, etc. I have been diagnosed with paresthesia and now I have to take two medications to combat this pain. I've had to take time off work and visit two doctors. Absolutely neglectful care! Am I am now suffering, and she only took three vials! Also the office is very run down, did not expect that given the area. read more

Helpful tip for walk ins: You need to sign is a walk in on the tablet even thought the sign says "appointments sign in here" Both phlebotomists, or whatever the role is called here, clearly make a habit of not greeting people. They hid in the rooms until they need to call a name, they are cordial but unfriendly, and when I mentioned that I was confused by the signage and lt would have been helpful if one of them maybe asked if I needed assistance, the lady said "Yeah, they got rid of the front." No apology, didn't even look me in the eye, just bold faced not caring. Didn't get her name, but she was a middle aged white woman with dirty blonde/brown hair. Stick was horrible too, I'm sure she made it hurt on purpose - either way it was not pleasant in any form to be here. Very sad. read more

Cliffs Notes: Insufficient parking and incredibly rude staff make this an absolute must-avoid lab. First off, there is literally one space that is reserved for Quest in front of the lab. It is adjacent to many other medical suites that all have multiple reserved spaces and there are few unreserved spaces on this side of the complex. So of course there were no open spaces nearby when I arrived. I was "lucky" enough to find a single open space in unreserved parking near the corner of Carnegie St and Horizon Ridge. The only other spaces were on the north side along Horizon Ridge, but because there is no way to walk through the complex from north to south (due to elevation change and no stairs) that makes for a really long walk because you'll have to go along the perimeter of the complex. The only employee in the waiting room was the tech (Marina?) who also eventually took my test sample. She was incredibly rude and confrontational from the get-go. She was one of those who simply assumed I was not supposed to be there and that I did not have an appointment, so treated me as if that was the necessary conclusion instead of listening to anything I had to say. She kept insisting I had to check-in even though I already checked-in using Quest's SMS system. Eventually she asked to see my original appointment confirmation e-mail and when I pulled it up on my phone, she just grabbed my phone out of my hands to use my phone to look at it! What really bugs me is that when she finally allowed me into the testing room, my name and appointment time were clearly both listed on the computer screen right there. This leaves me with no other conclusion than that she was just hassling me to hassle me. I've had what I considered bad experiences with LabCorp but this Quest experience made me wish I'd gone to LabCorp! I'll certainly never return to this location after this type of treatment. read more

This is the only Quest location that I will go to. I live in Mtns Edge and I drive all the way over to this location because of how efficient this office is. Yes, as many previous reviews have stated, this location is APPOINTMENT ONLY- which I'm sure has a large part in why they are so quick. The woman who works at this location is rude and nasty just for the sake of being rude and nasty. Her unprofessional behavior began when I walked in and she called out my name from a back room without coming out to greet me or even stick her head out of the door so I would know where her voice was coming from. My visit spiraled from there as I dealt with rude comment after rude comment. I also received a lecture because my doctor did not send the order correctly (apparently my fault). When on the phone with my doctor's office, the woman demanded that I sit down, "SIT DOWN," while I was trying to end the call. When she realized I had a balance on my account, she was visibly annoyed and demanded card payment (I was expecting to pay, the issue was her attitude). As a healthcare provider, is Quest not in the business of providing care? Perhaps an ounce of respect to those who come in for assistance? Do NOT under any circumstance visit this Quest location. In fact, switch to LabCor altogether if possible. read more

Went to this office office recently to have some bloodwork done. Did not have an appointment and was rudely questioned by NADINE as to why we didn't make an appointment. We were not aware this facility is by appointment only. We had called the appointment phone number as we were having an issue with the website on the computer and the phone system still did not get us to a scheduler. Had a 12:20 appointment for a blood draw. I looked at the map ON THEIR WEBSITE. It showed them in the medical complex on the north side of the street. Went there, couldn't find them. Figured out the building numbers were all even, but the lab address was odd. Had to exit to the main drag, go to the next light, turn around and come back. Found them (on the backside) in the building on the south side. Get in, go up to kiosk to check in, even though it walked me through "check-in" online. I presented me with a 6 inch by six inch screen full of what appeared to be size 4 font. Switched my glasses to be able to read it, clicked the button to scan my q-code and say "I am here". It informed me I was more than 10 minutes late and needed a new appointment. The clock said 10:30 and a few seconds. Literally 2 seconds and they insist I rebook and come back later. Followed the instructions, picked a new time, scanned my insurance card and license, not happy but I think I am done, and it says I am more than 10 minutes late and need to rebook and STARTS OVER asking me to pick a time. I waited until a person came out, explained it and, since there was LITERALLY nobody else there, asked if she could get me in and not make me come back in 2 hours. She replies "But you have to make a new appointment, then walks to the kiosk and starts exactly what I just did, and starts asking for the info on the screen. SHE DIDN'T LISTEN TO A WORD I SAID, SHE JUST ASSUMED "OLD GUY DOESN"T KNOW HOW TO USE THE COMPUTER" rather than "old guy hasn't eaten since yesterday for this fasting blood test". . TLDR: People are idiots, if you want to really piss me off, assume that because I am old I must not know anything about computers. The most unprofessional quest I've been to. So rude both times I've had appointments. The last time I had an appointment -which I was 10 minutes early to, realized I didn't have my paperwork, offered to just reschedule. The staff told me to grab it and come right back since I live close. I was back in 17 minutes. Sat in the waiting room for 10 minutes for them to speak to me and tell me I was too late. Why not just let me reschedule in the first place? No need to have a pregnant woman rushing around to then just act as if I'm inconveniencing them. No parking also doesn't help either. read more

The quickest visit yet. Place is clean, the staff is friendly and professional. The process was painless. 11:25: Pulled into parking lot on Horizon Ridge/Carnegie. TIP: Access the parking lot on Carnegie. Quest will be second building on your left. Check in with front desk: they'll ask if you have an appointment and have you sign in on clipboard. Present your medical card so they can pull up any lab orders or give them any paper work you have, 11:26: After they verified that I had an appointment, the phlebotomist led me into the back, had me sit in the chair. "Your in Good Hands" in bold letters,.,that's what the side arm of the chair said....yeah, that put me at ease...ha ha 11:27: The nurse pulls up my order on pc, gets the tray ready, meanwhile Im on my phone taking a selfie for SnapChat.. 11:30: I knew it was that time because my alarm reminder for medical appt, went on. The phlebotomist asked to make a fist, I look the other way (Im a scaredy cat) didn't even feel the needle prick me, We had small talk. ,,and boom! Before you know it, I was being taped and nurse says I'm all done. That's it! 11:31: That's what the time said when I got back into my car and checked in on my Yelp app,,, So there you go, five minutes. If you want your visit to go as smoothly as mine book your appointment online or call Quest Diagnostics. Regarding the hangry review(ers) see tip via Yelp app. This is one of the few offices that does NOT take in walk-ins whatsoever. And that's great! Everything ran so smoothly. read more

Clean office in a fairly quiet medical/business plaza. It was my first time at this location and I will go back. It's appointment only so they run on time. Lisa Marie is AWESOME. People usually have a hard time drawing blood from my grandma but Lisa Marie quickly found a good vein. She didn't cause any bruising. She drew my blood as well. Quick and painless. I'm glad we came here today. If you're fortunate enough to have Lisa Marie as your phlebotomist, know you're in good hands. :) Very warm personality :) Oh and they move these professionals around to different offices at times just so you're aware. read more

I don't like to leave unfavorable reviews, but I see that my experience matches all of the reviews for the past two years. I have nothing against Quest, because my only other experience with one of its testing centers was great. It's too bad that this location has such rude workers, because its location is incredibly convenient for me. I thought I had an 8:30 am appointment (it was for 8:40 am). Because, it was my first time at this location and, as other reviewers have described, the office location is a little tough to navigate within the complex after parking, I arrived at 8:28. There was no receptionist, but you could hear chatter from a side room. I waited patiently for someone to come out. Meanwhile, a potential walk-in came in and tried to join a walk-in list on a computer set up for that, but was informed that there was no availability even though the office appeared basically empty. At about 8:34, a woman came out and asked if I had an appointment. I said "yes" and she asked "what time"? When I said "8:30" she asked "what location?" When I said "here" she rudely answered "we've already done all of our 8:30 appointments." When I said, "but I arrived at 8:28", she argumentatively answered "we did them early" and asked for the code that I received when I made the appointment in case I needed to cancel. I didn't have the code with me, so she had to look at the computer. Finally, she found that I was in the next "group" of appointments, which was probably not hard since I was basically the only person there for an 8:40 appointment. She chided me for giving her the wrong time for the appointment and then proceeded to take my blood. When I left, I thought to myself "I wonder how bad those 8:30 appointments were to put this poor person in such a bad frame of mind so early in the day, but after reading the other Yelp reviews for this location, I can see that it is just par for the course. read more

Been here three times in the last two years and they are always on time for my appointment when I arrived and they are quick and efficient. I need blood draws four times a year and I come here when my doctors office can't do it right away. Clean, friendly, and by appointment. By appointment which was great. Walked in on Wednesday (Horizon Ridge) had blood drawn in 5 minutes. Needed results for visit with my doctor for Thursday the following week. Get a letter in the mail on Tuesday saying that due to unforeseen circumstances, I had to return for another sample. Now I have to reschedule the doctor appointment and have blood drawn again. The letter was dated Thursday, the day after I had blood drawn and was postmarked on Saturday. Thanks for sitting on it for two days. How about a phone call or email on that Thursday, or a notification on their "great" iPhone app, which I kept checking to see the results, telling me they messed up. I would have understood and could have taken care of things that Friday and kept my original doctor appointment. read more

I'm just wondering if it is mandatory that you must be rude in order to work here: I was waiting for the office to open, an employee told me that they did not open until 7 (it was 0650) then asked if I had an appointment; when I told her that I did not she said "We're appointment only"; when I then stated that I was having difficulty making one, she stated "We're booked 2- 4 weeks out" while walking away from me. Would it have been too complicated to state "If you'd like to wait until we open at 7, I'll help you make an appointment"? I've been to some pretty shady Quest locations but this one was very nice. The waiting room is small but very clean and comfortable. It was not crowded at all but this is an appointment-only location. I'm helped right away and in and out quickly for a basic blood draw. The last time I went the phlebotomist was friendly, but very loud and talkative. I think he had one too many cups of coffee that morning. This location is in the back of the office complex, not on the Horizon Ridge side. read more

This location for Quest is absolutely amazing! I would not get my blood work done from anywhere else. The staff is so friendly and they make you feel so welcomed. There is no wait, if you made your appointment and you are on time, you will get in right away. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. Highly highly recommend it!!! read more

I came in here (the Horizon Ridge location) to have some blood drawn and to get a container to collect 24 hours worth of urine. The man working seemed frazzled. I had my blood drawn, he gave me the container, and I left. I collected my urine a few days later, which if you've never had to do this, you are lucky! It's especially awful for a female. You also have to refrigerate it after going each time, so my point is, it's a giant pain in the butt. I go to drop it off at a different Quest location and thy inform me that the guy at this location gave me the WRONG container!!!!!!!!! The one the idiot gave me had been sprayed with a chemical. So I had to redo the test!!!!! How was I supposed to know I'd been given the wrong container???? I was furious and I expressed this at the other location. I was told I would receive a phone call from a supervisor and that never happened, so I'm now turning to Yelp. Make sure you ask them multiple times if they have done their job correctly, because clearly they are too incompetent on their own to do it. Disgusted. read more

The "by appointment only" is certainly a great feature--as long as you show up on time. Due to the extremely POOR parking situation (all the businesses seem to have their names on designated spots which are usually empty) it is difficult to even find an unmarked parking space (let alone one for a handicapped person). So, after trying for ten minutes to nab a space, I finally pulled into one of the "reserved" spaces for a tenant other than Quest, and hung the handicapped parking tag. (Go ahead and try to tow my car--I'll be sure to file a lawsuit against the owner of the property). Finally able to get into Quest, only to be told we were "late". I told the person at the desk that we wouldn't have been if there was adequate parking available to their customers. Apparently, no one cares enough to try to DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. As a result of our tardiness, we had to wait for all the patients whose appointments were after ours, but fortunately there were only two others waiting. read more
