I really like this imaging center! Excellent location in Green Valley/Anthem area, with lots of parking, plus a lighted intersection at Sienna Heights and Eastern. The desert landscaping is cute and well-maintained! Inside, the building is spacious, clean, plus staff is friendly, and always willing to help. Most recently, I had a CT scan with dye and this was my first. The CT scan dye is different than an MRI with dye, so FYI. Part of the prep was to drink lots and lots of water starting an hour before the procedure and then again more water afterwards, including bringing a water bottle with me. Since I was wearing stretchy clothes, I could keep them on and only needed to take off any metal, including my bra. There are numerous lockers in the imaging waiting room, that I could lock away my bra and water bottle, then take the key with me. I always take my purse/valuables into the imaging room. Once in the room, I signed some paperwork, and the attendant asked if I had allergies and on rare occasions, a person could be allergic to the iodine dye used on the CT scan. She administered an IV on my selected arm (right) and when it was time, ran a little contrast into my vein to test and all was good (if there was a reaction, an itchy feeling in my throat could come up). When the full contrast is injected, I experienced a warm feeling all over. It faded within a minute or two, and then I just felt myself again. The CT machine is a donut vs an MRI tunnel. The CT machine is very fast; the whole procedure took about 15 minutes. There is a computer voice that talks and tells me what to do as the table gets pulled in and out of the donut. "Breathe in and hold it", then release. I had to do this multiple times. Also, the attendant guided me to put my arms above my head before everything started. I had a headrest and a leg rest. It is almost 10 PM on Tuesday, June 30th, and I still don't have results. when I called to find out what was going on, I was told that they are behind and they are sorry and they have no timeline yet for when I might get my results but I could address any concerns at a 'comment' email address that they gave me. 3D Mammogram review If you're highly anxious or just like knowing what to expect, here's a walkthrough of my experience. It was incredible and trauma-informed, just like every experience I've had at Steinberg. My doctor sent a referral to Steinberg. They reached out within the hour to get me scheduled. They had lots of availability, which I appreciate. Since you can't wear deodorant and it's 110 degrees out, I wanted to get in as early as possible. There's a simple breast health and history questionnaire to complete as part of the process. You'll get a preregistration reminder a few days before your appointment. I can't stress enough how much time this saves! I spent less than 2 minutes at the registration desk. Everyone here is incredibly kind. The sign-in person will call your name and direct you to a registration desk. If you preregistered, you won't be at the desk for very long. I only waited a few minutes to be called to the mammography area. The mammogram area is private, behind a locked door. First, you'll get a locker to put your things away and change into your gown. Thankfully, you only have to remove your shirt and bra. If you're worried about coverage, I'm a size 20/22 and 5'7". The gown was very roomy and went down to my knees. There's a small waiting room with a TV. The mammography room is private, dim, and cool. They'll confirm your info and then review any history that you shared. In my experience, the staff are incredibly trauma-informed. My tech told me everything she was doing and why, and tried to make the best of it. As someone who had a very negative mammogram experience elsewhere, I really appreciated the kind, upbeat atmosphere. Steinberg does 3D mammography so the process is a little different. First, they do the traditional top and bottom views. It was super easy because they let you keep your arms down. You just have to turn your head to the side. Then came the side views. For these, they angle the machine. You do have to reach forward and hold onto the machine, but your arm rests along a plate so you don't have to hold it up. The machine rotates around and takes 10 images. In total, I was in the mammography room maybe 5-7 minutes. From there, you go back to your locker and change. There's no check-out required. As my tech said, "Walk out like you own the place." My appointment was scheduled for 8:45 but since I didn't need the full 30 minutes for registration, they took me back early. I was in my car by 8:47. read more

I returned for my annual checkup at SDMI, and everything went smoothly as always. The online booking process was convenient, and completing the forms ahead of time made check-in quick and easy. I arrived and was called within a couple of minutes. This year, I had a new mammogram technician named Katie, absolutely excellent. She was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. Katie was thorough and attentive, explaining each step and taking the time to ensure a complete and careful examination. After the procedure, she explained the next steps and wished me well. The entire appointment was efficient, I arrived at 7:30 and was finished by 7:50, which allowed me plenty of time to get home before my 8 o'clock online class. I couldn't have asked for better timing. I consistently love this location. The service is always great, the facility is clean, and the staff is genuinely friendly. I have been trying to make a appointment but I was told they dont have enough radiologist. I have been put into a queue and could take 7 weeks for me to get an appointment and then once I am able to get an appointment possibly another 4 to 7 weeks. There are a lot of people waiting and this is just not acceptable. This could be life or death for some people. I am praying for everyone who is affected by this delay. I am assuming the breakdown of this formally smooth running organization is due to another corporate takeover. Which generally translates to cost cutting. Staff is great and not to blame I would think. Use to be, I would have results over the weekend. Now over two weeks and counting. I can't wait for the "manager" to reply as to how it's better to respond at this e-mail or "can't discuss HIPA stuff". We already did all that wasted energy. Just be honest to people and say some personnel left due to cost cutting or unreasonable job expectations..and we're on our back heels because we changed things because of unbroken stuff we "fixed". I'm just in pain. I really feel for patients whose lives are truly in the balance waiting for results that will determine the future course of their days. Absolutely the worst medical experience I've ever had. The staff was rude, dismissive, and acted like helping patients was an inconvenience. When I requested copies of my paperwork, they refused to provide it, making an already stressful situation even more frustrating. It took 18 days to receive my results, which is unacceptable for diagnostic imaging. To make matters worse, the report was incorrect. My physician actually had to contact Steinberg Diagnostic and explain how the imaging should have been interpreted because the results were wrong. That level of inaccuracy is alarming and completely undermines confidence in the care they provide. Between the rude customer service, refusal to provide requested paperwork, excessive delays, and inaccurate results, I cannot recommend this facility to anyone. Patients deserve professionalism, timely results, and reports they can trust. Unfortunately, this location failed on every level. I will never return and strongly recommend looking elsewhere for diagnostic imaging. read more

I recently had a CT scan of my pelvic area and kidneys at SDMI, and my experience was excellent from start to finish. When I arrived, I was warmly greeted by two exceptionally kind staff members at the front desk. After checking in (I had already completed my paperwork online), I was directed to the back for my scan. The technician who assisted me was very friendly, humble, and professional, even though she appeared to be dealing with allergies and a heavy workload. She made me feel comfortable, clearly explained the process, and guided me through holding my breath during the scan. The entire procedure was incredibly efficient--I was in and out in under 25 minutes, making it the fastest CT scan experience I've ever had. THREE visits scheduled with Steinberg Diagnostic on Siena Heights Drive -- the appointments were incorrectly scheduled all three times (SD scheduler's fault each time) so I was unable to get any of the imaging done even though I showed up. Fortunately I decided to book with Desert Radiology right down the street -- they got me in faster and with zero issues and all imaging was done within a few days. Avoid Steinberg ... it is total chaos and a waste of valuable time. read more

Got a MRI on my brain on August 1st it is now the 16th of August and still haven't received my results. I think the level of care has gone out the window, if the practice doesn't have enough radiologist they need to refer out so people can get the care they need. It's just imaging which is the crazy part. If they are back logged so far already they need to stop taking patients. I have heard people not getting their results back for 3 weeks which is ridiculous and is terrifying. Next time I have imaging I need to do I will definitely be going to Desert Radiology or SimonMed. read more

I have waited 15 days to receive a report on a CAT scan that I had. They told me they are running behind. Well after doing research I learned that Steinberg has been sold to inter mountain health in January 2026. They are retaining the Steinberg name which is misleading . They also now have several complaints regarding late reports. This is totally unacceptable especially if you are waiting for report to have surgery. Also when I called the girl was rude when I asked why report was taking so long .She told me they are running far behind. You were very helpful and greeted everyone with a smile. Everyone was very nice and efficient. Had a 7am appointment and did not wait for more than 5 min. I've visited this location a couple of times and have had good experiences each time. Ample parking and a huge main waiting area. The staff is pretty quick, efficient, and want to get things done in a timely manner. I've had annual stuff done here, and for a few procedures where I needed imaging, they were quick and easy to work with. For my most recent experience, I had a 7:30am appointment, then an 8am appointment. The instructions stated to arrive by 7am to get checked in, billing done, and make my appointments. I was sent a link to fill out my paperwork online to expedite the process and it really did make kt quick and easy to check in and be seen. I was able to skip the first waiting room and go directly to the second one. We were called in and separated according to our need--I was grouped with a few others to get an ultrasound of my abdomen. Afterwards, I had to switch to a gown for my annual imaging. They had lockers (with locks) in a separate waiting area. After changing, I was quickly called in and went through with the imaging. Afterwards, I changed and discarded my used gown. The bathroom in this waiting area was pretty clean one. Honesty, the few experiences I've had are positive and I would definitely return should I need to. read more

Please be aware that Steinberg Diagnostic was sold to Intermountain Health a huge company in October 2025. I have had x-rays, MRIs, CTs and other studies done at Steinberg diagnostic prior to the sale and the staff and timeliness of obtaining scheduling was very good. This past month I had a repeat MRI ,and this time what I found very disturbing is that it has been nearly 3 weeks since the MRI, and I am still waiting for the results. I am waiting for this MRI to assist in pain management, and so this delay is delaying potential treatment and prolonging my care. The last time I had this exact study it took only 2 days to get the result. I suspect that this huge increase in delay in obtaining results is due to MONEY; ie, staff cuts or cuts in hours of staff. Beware of delays in getting results. read more

A MRI of my abdomen w/ contrast was ordered recently because of several suspicious areas in my liver. As you can imagine this has brought me a some anxiety. First off it took over 2 weeks for them to even schedule the test and I had to travel to a more distant location at that. On the day of my appointment they were backed up which delayed my appointment time, however the staff were very professional and did their best to make me feel comfortable and expedite the test for me as much as they were able. I have now waited a full 7 (business days) for results and when I called today yet another very nice person told me they are very backed up and it will probably take 10 business days to receive results. I am a retired RN and find it ridiculous that a radiologist can't read a test like this in a more timely manner. My husband experienced the same delays recently for a knee MRI. No matter how great your staff are, if you don't hire enough Radiologists to read tests in a timely manner - your service will get a one Starr - UNACCEPTABLE review every time. This is JUST NOT OK! read more

Do not use this company yourself, or allow family to do so, unless you are willing to risk your mental and physical health ... and possibly your mortality. They are full of excuses as to why they are not able to provide results in a timely basis. "Oh we are short staffed.. we have 12 facilities that the radiologist has to support." Of course that doesn't mean that the medical issues that people are getting the scans for suddenly go away while waiting endlessly for the results. I don't know what has happened to Steinberg. It used to be the number one place to go for quality and patient care. Twice now I have had imaging done for stage 4 pancreatic cholangiocarcinoma and waited over 2 weeks for results. Had to reschedule a procedure because they needed the imaging and it had not been read yet two weeks!!! the last one was even marked urgent, not stat. I understand there is a difference, but it still took over two weeks for results on that with that said I will never ever return to Steinberg diagnostic. Everybody gives the VA a bad rap, but I have never had to wait more than three days for test results. However they did send me out to Steinberg because they were backed up for appointments. I should've stuck with the VA I would've had my results by now for sure. The wait time for the MRI was over an hour. They definitely need to hire more and radiologists if they can't service the community in a timely manner. read more

I've used Steinberg once before for an ultrasound at their Sunset Way location many years ago, but this was my first time at their Siena Heights location. I was admitted to the ER at St. Rose Siena for a kidney infection back in August 2023 and had to see my urologist for my ER follow up. My urologist referred me to Steinberg for a renal ultrasound and I needed to be seen before my 6/14/24 follow up. Trying to schedule an appointment with them was the hardest part because they didn't handle my referral right. Because of this, I couldn't be seen until my return from my two-week long trip to Europe. If there weren't any problems with my referral, I would've gotten in earlier. I called Steinberg the day after my urology appointment for an update on my referral, and the lady on the other end told me that a doctor's signature was missing and they had to send it back to the urologist. Thankfully, I had a hard copy of my referral with me and was able to take a picture of it and send it to them via email, because the doctor's signature is literally right there. After emailing them the referral, I tried to schedule an appointment with them again over the phone. I was on hold for a very long time but the automated caller said that I could save my place in line and someone else could call me back, which was extremely helpful. A receptionist ended up calling me back and I was able to make an appointment on 6/6/24 for a 2:00pm check-in, 2:30pm ultrasound. It was two days after I came back from my trip, but I desperately needed to be seen before my urologist follow-up. My prep instructions were as follows - drink at least 32-36oz of water and eat a light meal an hour prior to my ultrasound time and my bladder must be full during the ultrasound. The waiting room was packed when I arrived, which made me concerned that I would have to stay way past my appointment time, but more people were being called back within at least 20 minutes after my arrival. First, they had to take my copayment in a separate room and I was told to go back to the waiting room until I would be called back to the ultrasound room. They called me back at exactly 2:30, my scheduled ultrasound time. I had filled out my forms online prior to this, which saved me so much time here. I was taken into a separate waiting room with several other ultrasound rooms around me. Laura was my doctor who did my ultrasound, who did three separate tests on me. She got pictures of my bladder when it was full and empty and then pictures of my kidneys afterwards. It was interesting to see what some of my major organs looked like. The ultrasound process took me only 20 minutes and just like that, I was done and out of there. Despite the referral issues in the beginning, I'm giving this review a solid 5 stars. Steinberg is the place to go for your ultrasound needs and I was super impressed with my visit. read more

A few mths ago I had to get a CT with IV contrast & the CT tech was funny. Once she found out that I'm a nurse she was like "I hate starting IV's on nurses." LOL I said "You should have asked me what I did for work after you started my IV" LOL It can be a little intimidating when you work in the healthcare field & take care of other healthcare workers but she did a great job & got it on her 1st try. I have veins, not big whomping ones but they're there. I wasn't there for very long. I was even able to go & pick up a copy of my CT disc for my own personal records. It's kinda a PIB to have to fill out the same paper work everytime you go. The registrtion lady was an old fart. When I asked her "why?" her stupid reason was "I don't know, I just work here." Well ain't she special.....like what kind of answer is that?? LOL I wish they just have you review your info & let them know if there's any changes. They will text you/email you your forms to fill out prior to your appointment which helps. Can't say I've had to wait long periods of time when I've been here & I've gone here a few times for my mammograms & once for a CT. I just went Thursday AM & their computers were down & there was a line when I got there @ 8am. It moved quickly. My US tech was very friendly, gentle & sociable. I didn't catch her name but I liked her. I was in & out. Quick process. I was impressed to see a few other women in here to get their mammogram. Kudos to you all for taking care of yourselves!! read more

Spent quite a bit of time here over the last 5 1/2 years! The place I get most of my imaging at however I have been to other locations as well! It is hard to get appointments unfortunately and very long hold times when calling. They do not take walk ins for MRIs and you do need a referral. If you're in a rush for MRI you would want to find another place. I will say wait time is minimal depending on the day and location, you basically check in at front desk, wait for the pay reps to call you back to make your co pay, then wait for the imaging techs to get you. The process they have in place works pretty smoothly. Once you are taken back for imaging, you change and wait your turn to get it done. Imaging techs have always been nice in my experience and if requested they will give you a copy on a disc to take to your doctor which I always do since reports can take a week to reach the drs. office. I have had MRIs, CT scans, XRays, and other types of imaging and testing done here. They are a reliable company and would recommend them. read more

Time efficiency . Every time I come here and especially this time , patients time is not respected . I don't know if they legitimately have one MRI machine in the entire facility that is literally an imaging facility but people are waiting HOURS . It is unacceptable , they expect you on time but have zero respect whatsoever for the time you alott in a day for this. They have called one person back into the MRI room in the last 45 minutes and people cheered .. out loud . Pathetic excuse for a medical facility . Terrible wait times, terrible waiting room (dirty, noisy, and no one at the desk seemed to pay attention. The desk staff are curt, rude, and not at all interested in the human factor. After getting my blood taken, I elected to go elsewhere for all other testing my doctor had ordered. If you can get a different option, take it. read more

I do like Steinberg and this time I again completed my incoming patient paperwork online but this time I didn't have to wait long (last time 1.5 hours!) to be seen. Only little inconvenience was the bank of 4 dressing rooms, each with 2 lockers. You can observe unused based on keys in slots. So, at my appt, I was given a dressing room and I was the only patient using any of the rooms. When I returned from getting Xrays, my dressing room was locked, because someone was changing in it. But the other 3 were open...all with keys hanging from locks meaning no one else was using them. I had to wait several minutes for the occupant to come out to get to my belongings and change. Why did they NOT notice that a locker was being used in my dressing room and give the other person a locker in another room rather than have us both use the same space so I had to wait several minutes to get changed? read more

I have had numerous testing done at Steinberg over the years and the service and staff have always been great. I had an appointment on July 29, 2025 and three staff members stood out to me during this visit, Maria, Mike and Tina. They were all extremely nice, made me feel like I was a very important patient and made sure I was comfortable and didn't need anything. I could tell that they all love their jobs and the patients are a priority to them. read more

They were good for my mammogram but the way I was treated today would have resulted in a 1 star review if they weren't good the first time. I came in for an xray and the overweight lady in the front said they are not doing walki-ins for xrays right now. So she made me an appt at 3 for another location and said to go right over there and they'll take me right in, that it will be well before 3 when they take me back. So I drove 20 minutes on an almost empty tank of gas, no appointment and was told that it would be over an hour. So the lady in the front had no clue what she was talking about and wasted my time and my gas. I'm going to see what else I can go now because I don't want to deal with someone who doesn't know what they are talking about or how to do their job. read more

They do not share information amongst staff. They do not add notes to appointments. They called me 7 times to try to reschedule my MRI because they could not do a contrast MRI at night. I cannot have a contrast MRI, I have a stage III kidney. They keep saying that they have multiple referrals for different services. I've already scheduled a service with an appropriate referral. Allow me to offer some advice that every child should learn between the ages of 7 and 11... Follow your last instruction. read more

I had a recent visit and I was pretty impressed. I had an appt at which I thought was at 230 but it was actually scheduled for 4pm. I didn't even realize it until I went to check in. I ask the receptionist if she wanted me to just come back and she said no it was ok to wait but it might take some time. Maybe about 10 minutes later she called me up, took me to the other waiting area and within minutes I was being led to the mammogram area. That process was also seamless and the technician who assisted was great. By the time I was done maybe a total of 30-40min with an appt scheduled for later in the day , I was a satisfied patient!
