I have mixed feelings about this place but let's get a couple things clear up front. This place was recommended to me through Humana, so I figured since it was in their Network it would be a standard deal. I am definitely going to reach out to them and see what the heck is up. Secondly, the place is very easy to find, and has plenty of parking. The waiting room is huge like there was at least 50 chairs. The lady at the front was very very kind, walked me through the process and made it easy to get checked in Getting into the room, the attending nurse was great, very friendly, treated me like a human being, got all my stats, we chit-chatted, and got everything done that I needed before the doctor showed up. It wasn't long after that that the doctor came in. Now I got to say, I'm somebody that likes to ask questions about their health. And from the get-go I felt like the doctor came in, maybe spent a total of 3 minutes with me, really didn't listen very well and kept bulldozing over me while I was trying to talk. Now I don't know if she had a another patient that needed more care than I did, or what the deal was. But I really felt dismissed, and not listened to. I get it, urgent care is a get in get out situation, but still, especially with a $65 copay, you would expect a little more bedside manner. Bottom line?, I would probably go here again, but only when I didn't have time to go see my primary physician. read more

The front desk employee was very kind. But I felt my entire exam was rushed through. I presented with intense throat pain. Tested negative for all of the usual. I feel like the practitioner that did my exam barely looked at my throat. I was told I just had a sore throat and to try honey (even though i'd been doing that for a week already). I presented to a different care now today and was told i have multiple infections and was put on antibiotics and steroids. I am not happy at all with the care I received. I highly recommend this CareNow location. The medical assistant, Cynthia, is truly kind and has excellent customer service. The nurse practitioner, Elise, is amazing with kids, she honestly should be a pediatrician. My daughter has autism, and she does so well with her. That means everything to me as a mom. I would give this place a zero if I could. Avoid at all costs. They don't care about you. I've gone before and never had anissues besides the wait times and the staff being sicker than I was at the time. Today I went for pink eye and I was seen at 10:13 and they sent my eyedrop prescription to Walgreens at 10:26 and I was on my way. Doc said it should take an hour. Tell me why it's now 4pm and I just got my eyedrops. Everything about this process is great! Check In is moderately easy. The nurses are awesome! Except for one thing. The doctor or a nurse practitioner that came into do the exam was incredibly rude. I wasn't feeling well and found this spot close to my work. I made an appointment online (which takes into account drive time) and waited until I received a text message to come in and check in either with the receptionist or on a kiosk. I was also able to upload my license and medical insurance information to speed up the process. There were a few people in line ahead of me, but I eventually was seen. The waiting room has plenty of chairs, a restroom, and a tv on the wall. There is also plenty of parking in the vicinity surrounding the venue. After a few tests (roughly said to take 15 minutes or so), the DO got back to me, gave me my results and discussed the next steps/medications. The assistant verified my preferred pharmacy and called in my prescriptions, gave me my paperwork and sent me on my way. I received text links to give me access to my chart online (after setting up my account), and I also received a follow up phone call regarding my care and checked on me/asked how I was feeling. They also let me know that I could call back with any concerns or updates. I actually don't think I have had this type of care when visiting any other Urgent Care in the area. I had the best experience at CareNow this morning. I have an ear infection and despite my doctor saying I should be seen within the next day or two, they couldn't get me in for over 2 weeks. I strongly recommend registering online. They let me know there were 5 people ahead of me and they'd be able to see me in an hour. I arrived about 20 minutes before my suggested time and didn't need to fill out any additional paperwork. Everyone I encountered was masked (disposable surgical masks), which is great to see as we enter flu season. Masks and hand sanitizer are also available at the registration counter if you need them. I was seen shortly before my suggested appointment time. The nurse was very friendly and helpful. Just a few minutes after she took my vitals, Dr. Elise came in. Since my ear infection was pretty straightforward, she was able to prescribe antibiotics, steroids, and a nasal spray to help with the pressure I was feeling in my face. She even asked if I needed a work note. She called in my meds and gave me a discharge sheet to summarize my visit and medication instructions. I was in and out within 20 minutes. My fiancée came in for a visit and we paid the visit that had an xray included. Later on we got billed another payment because "apparently the doctor put a splint on his finger" which they did not do. The doctor during the visit was telling him to put it on and he HAD to do it. He said no many times and she kept on insisting. She said that he couldn't leave without them putting it on. She didn't even tell us that we would pay extra for it and was forcing it upon him. She ended up not doing it and made us take the splint home. The bill mailed to us was $115. You can buy the same splint for $7 at CVS. I called in the first time and they said they'll help me dispute it. I called in two weeks later (yesterday) to check in on the bill and their billing services did nothing for us. She was rude and not helpful at all. Honestly the lady I talked to on the phone should be fired. Basically telling me there's nothing she could do to help me. She said the manager already decided. She didn't let me talk the whole time and was interrupting me. Told me the bill was for the Xray but I mentioned we paid for that in the beginning and then she said it was for the splint. I told her we never got it done. Then she was confused and said again it was for the X-ray and not for the splint. She didn't even know what she was talking about. I asked why didn't the doctor tell us we will be charged and she said "sometimes they would forget". I'm sorry that's the worst excuse because that's something they should be mentioning when we are paying out of pocket. Hospital bills are not cheap. I told her I'm paying for a bill when I didn't even receive or want the service and she said yeah basically. Horrible customer service. I hope carenow sees this and listens to our whole conversation on the phone. Give her some advice about listening and actually doing her job to help. I called carenow about it and they said that I wouldn't have gotten extra fees for the xray unless it was for the service for splint, which he did not want or get. They said I couldn't even talk to the doctor about it so here we are having to pay for a a service we didn't get. CareNow is just trying to take your money and charge you for whatever they can. We got charged for a service that was forced upon us and no one could help us out. I would never recommend coming here because not only do you have to deal with the bills but also with the terrible billing service. They will not tell you what they will be charging you for. I brought my son to this urgent care for what was clearly ringworm, and the doctor prescribed Nystatin and Triamcinolone. At the pharmacy, we asked if these medications were appropriate for ringworm. The pharmacist immediately said neither treats ringworm, which was very concerning. I called the urgent care to clarify, and the doctor told me the medications "don't treat ringworm individually, but together they do." That made no sense, so I researched the medications myself--sure enough, they do NOT treat ringworm, separately or together. Now I'm out $55 for a completely useless appointment and $25 for prescriptions I can't even use. I left feeling like the doctor didn't understand the condition, and I seriously question their knowledge and ethic. I will not be returning and cannot recommend this clinic to anyone seeking competent care. read more

I'm a CANCER PATIENT with stage 3 Pancreatic Cancer (my file had this information) and I came in for congestion in my lungs/ possible upper respiratory infection & sinus infection. As stated, I got the text saying they were "READY". I checked in at the front desk and then waited for over an hour and 15 minutes to be seen. WHY DID YOU SEND A TEXT SAYING WE ARE READY FOR YOU THE MAKE ME WAIT AN HOUR AND A HALF. No way to run a business or an office. Several others are in here pissed off too. The service from the doctor and staff was good. We got the help we needed at the time with the little information the doctor had to go on. The problem is the billing. Instead of billing my insurance as I requested, I paid a co-pay that day for insurance, the company keep a copy of my debit card and took the money out of my bank account three days after the services happened. It has now been 45 days since they took the money (without notice) and I still do not have my money back. My insurances EOB says the company received payment for the services that day. All customer service can say is they will look into it and submit it for refund, and to call them back in 7 days. This is my third call for the refund. I was originally told it would be processed and in my hands in 45 days. I don't like the new system they have of signing paperwork without seeing it. I don't like that they kept a copy of my debit card information even after I stated I didn't want the company to. Receptionist was rude to me from the moment I walked in. I'm Hispanic. She helped numerous Caucasian people after me pleasant as can be but was nothing but attitude when I had to deal with her. I told her I couldn't take photos of the front and back of my insurance I only had it on the app and I had been here previously. She told me change to self pay and she would manually enter my insurance. I changed to self pay but the registration still would not allow me to go forward. I informed her it still wasn't letting me continue and she got annoyed saying you're saying you can't change to self pay? I informed her I did change to self pay and even tried to show her but when I click continue it doesnt take me to the next step. She sighed at me and then finally hands me a tablet. I showed her my kids insurance cards and told her we all have the same numbers she asked to see them, handed one back to me and when I told her she only gave me 1 and I didn't have my sons she proceeds to argue saying well i dont have it so look again. I looked and guess what I don't have it. She then says oh you found it I said no I didn't and she just walked away. Some people really shouldn't be in healthcare when they have poor communication and people skills. Definitely won't be coming back to this location, driving to the green valley location next time. As a healthcare worker I would never treat someone like she did. She's over here talking to the other receptionist saying yeah there's always one that just tries you. No professionalism what so ever. I'm genuinely appalled at the quality of care I received from this location. I have been to CareNow clinics in the valley before and been happy with the care, but this visit was horrid. I went in for COVID19 symptoms. Two members of my household had been sick with a virus for the last week and it finally made it's way to me. I have chronic sinus issues and am immunocompromised so the moment I felt symptoms I went straight in for care. I waited in the waiting room for 2 hours to be seen by a doctor. Pretty standard stuff for an urgent care so I tried not to get upset but I was feeling really awful. The entire time I was in the waiting room every person who attempted to check in on the tablet device at the front desk had a problem and had to ask for help. The people at the front desk were all very helpful and patient with myself and everyone who needed help. 10/10 to them! When I was finally let back in to see a provider the nurse took my BP, temp and got a mucus sample for a COVID test. She was very kind and talkative. I waited another half hour for the doctor to come in and ask me what I was coming in for. When I told him I was worried I may have COVID he cut me off mid sentence with "well you don't have COVID." He told me my chest pain was from coughing and didn't seem to care that I had not been coughing very much at all. He looked in my ears and said I had a pretty bad ear infection. He gave me 10 days of antibiotics and sent me on my way. Never once did a provider ask me if I had any allergies, if I am taking any medications or if I have any conditions they should know about. Every provider you see is supposed to ask if you have allergies. The nurse, the doctor, the paper you fill out in the beginning. Even if you have seen that exact provider before, they are supposed to ask at the beginning of every appointment because allergies are subject to change! Today I woke up with hives on my hands, feet and neck. I googled to see if any of the medications I was given at CareNow contain anything I am allergic to and what would you know? The antibiotics I was given contain my allergen! Great care guys. That is medical negligence. This clinic is lucky that my allergy is mild compared to others. read more
