This is the only Quest we will go to. Starting with the cons and the issue some one-star reviews report: yes, the parking is difficult, there is no receptionist, you can check in via the text they send if you have made an appointment online and chose updates via text. Check-in is easy if you are used to current technology. If you have difficulty with technology (signing in on a touch-screen) I recommend bringing someone with you. The pros--they have always been extra nice and helpful, gentle and patient. The atmosphere with the phlebotomists has always been cheerful. The Quest closest to our house never knows whats going on, never can figure out our insurance, has zero patience for kids and never uses butterfly needles. We drive to the Museum District location because someone recommended it and that is where we will always go. We've had a few different phlebotomists and they have all been excellent! Minus one star because it is a good point about the parking, but 20 stars for the staff! read more

I recommend you try any Quest but this one because if the lack of affordable parking. There was no on-street parking and I pulled into what I thought was the 1200 Binz garage (I needed to have gone around the corner to find the correct garage, but I didn't see any signs.) The garage immediately south of 1200 Binz is also a museum and zoo parking garage. I was in less than an hour. This Quest's service was fine and efficient. Lots of people in the tiny waiting room. Parking is by app with no prices listed. I had to wait for my card's app to show the cost. It's double the Med Center parking price: $28.31 for less than an hour. I'm disgusted. read more

I recently visited a Quest Diagnostics location for the first time, and unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. There was no clear way to ask questions unless an employee happened to come out to call a patient. When I inquired, I was told there was no one available to answer questions. Since my doctor sent the order electronically, I did not have any paperwork with me and was simply instructed that I could go to any Quest location for testing. However, important information such as cut-off times for certain tests was not listed on the website or shown when booking an appointment online, which made the process confusing. While I would not have minded rescheduling if necessary, what made the experience especially negative was the attitude of the staff. Rather than offering assistance, they seemed dismissive and unwilling to help. I observed one employee (the black lady) serve multiple people who arrived well after I did, while I continued to wait. She looked right at me each time she called a new patient-- and she knows she had an attitude. This created the impression that I was being ignored intentionally. Ultimately, I left without being seen and scheduled at a different location. (Which I'm sure the staff didn't care since they didn't want to work anyways. It's disappointing to feel treated poorly simply for asking a question. Patients often come in during limited time windows--sometimes rushing from work, dealing with parking, or trying to locate the facility for the first time. A little courtesy and clear communication would go a long way. read more

This is the worst Quest diagnostic I've ever been too. I just left the facility today the dark skin unfortunate faced attendant clearly hates her job. They have some idiotic policy where they have a 24hr wait for a FAX. What office does that? I had to leave my reservation to run and go print out my paperwork because they also don't allow printing. This is ridiculous I've never been to an office that waits 24 hours for a fax from a doctor. That sounds INSANE. I have suspicion to believe she just didn't want to do her job. I come back and check in at 4:50 and she closes down and tells me and another lady who were patiently waiting that they're closed EVEN THOUGH WE WERE THERE 10 minutes early. She called her manager Myra who was no help as she started lying saying we checked in at 4:58. Another lie. It really sucks when you can tell when people hate their damn jobs!!!! read more

Time to update my review! After receiving my lab result -- note that I said "result," and not "results" (plural) -- it's come to my attention that the tech only processed the last page of my four-page lab order, meaning I have to do this all over again. When I went in, I even asked her if the one vile of blood was enough for all of my labs. She said, "yup!" Complete waste of my time and money. I fasted, took time off from work, waited an hour in the lobby, paid for parking... all for the staff member to review a single page in a four-page lab order. Note to anyone: ask to review your order or take printed copies to ensure they full understand why you are there. read more

Had to do a drug test for my nursing program and came in after class to do it. Didn't get to do it as a walk in so had to come back two hours later. Lady wouldn't accept my ID for a drug test. I had a temporary license from the state of Texas and she was just standing there smiling and almost laughing at me as I struggled to find another ID. She did argued and told me the state always prints a picture with your temporary ID which is not true. I kept telling her what I had was from Texas and she kept laughing and saying I had not idea what I was talking about so I turned around and just walked on out while she was laughing sorry. Thankfully lapcorp next door saved me and that will be for other review. They probably do ok with lab orders but drug test you better have your physical ID with you read more

I had to drop off a sample - not even be seen - and I was told I had to make an appointment and could not give it to an employee. I asked if I could use the bathroom and was denied. So I went upstairs to another floor in the building to go to the bathroom. Plus you have to pay a lot to park. Someone in admin from Quest needs to come and observe this location. Don't plan your visit based on other poor reviews. This location was great! I was able to grab a meter right out front and put a few coins in. I came straight from my doctor's office on a Friday during lunch time as a walk-in, in hopes I could possibly get in before the weekend. Lunchtime on a Friday is obviously one of the busiest times, but Mariam said she would squeeze me in! I waited less than 5 minutes and she promptly got me back. Not only was the service quick, but she knows exactly what she is doing and had no issues getting blood out of me! (Something that other phlebotomists usually have a hard time with.) This place is trash. They have no one working the front desk to help patients check in, the have no phone number to call if you're having issues finding their office, office was a bit trashy as well. In order to get to this place you've gotta park in the parking garage which isn't easy to find, then you've gotta park 4th floor or higher, then elevator down to the first level and follow the quest diagnostic signs. When I finally was able to park and make it down to the office, their "front desk" window was closed and no one ever came to help me. How are you supposed to check in for an appointment? DO NOT GO HERE. I had the worst experience at this facility. For starters they were over an hour behind schedule (and that wasn't even the bad part). The lady drawing my blood was new and had no idea what she was doing. There was another lady coaching her but it wasn't much help. She had trouble inserting the needle, then when she finally got the blood flowing it was moving so slowly and my hand started turning purple. I voiced this but they kept going. I started feeling terrible, my vision was darkening and spotty, I was sweating profusely and my head started aching. I told the lady I was feeling this way and she kept going even when I told her to stop. She finally stopped after my blood stopped flowing. I have gotten my blood drawn so many times and this has never happened before. I felt absolutely horrible and they didn't listen to me. NEVER returning to this facility. read more

Note: I am an easy stick, and have never had so much as bruising during blood draws in my entire life. I came here for the first time because my new doctor is a few floors above this laboratory. When I walked in, I was surprised to see the waiting room was entirely empty minus one man, as compared to the adjacent Labcorp which was full and bustling. Less wait time, I thought happily. And I was right. They called me in within 30 minutes, and I was led to a room with two technicians, A instructing B (clearly very new and inexperienced). B was also extremely sleepy and was cracking multiple yawns within seconds of each other. When it came time to stick me, B had only one finger gloved and began poking my inner elbow with her long, fake fingernail (ungloved). It began to ache very slightly from the pressure. She told me to make a fist and keep it. Then she pricked me and began drawing blood. Some time later, a strange sound erupted, air bubbles filled the tube, and blood stopped coming out. I, horrified, asked if this was normal. "Yeah, you just need to drink more water." Then A, the instructor, took over and pushed the needle deep into my arm. No blood. I tentatively suggested we do the other arm. They were like, yup, it looks like we're gonna have to do that. So A did my other arm, without event thankfully. Ever since I left, my arm has been in pain. It's been 11 hours and it hurts to even pick up my phone. I do not know WHAT they did to my arm. I did some research on what causes air bubbles to form in the blood tube, and contrary to what they told me about dehydration, the cause for it is improper technique, not only running the risk of hemolyzing the blood sample (resulting in falsely elevated values), but also risking such deadly and life-threatening complications as air embolisms, though it is uncommon with blood draws. I guess there's a reason the waiting room was empty. And my arm still hurts. read more

The young man that took me didn't say much but he was able to draw from the first stick. Pleased with visit. After waiting in the lobby for almost an hour, some snappy woman who clearly didn't want to be there called me for my appointment. She had a snarl on her face and blamed the others patients when they didn't get up for their appointment after being called "Dave" instead of " Magdalena". When I finally sat down, I wanted to print the bill since the charges came to 300$ which is absurd considering what insurance would cover, and this despicable woman refused to print it, stating that this was not her responsibility and that I should call my insurance. It is, in fact, her responsibility to give me the invoice which I would need to provide to my insurance in order to dispute the charge. Although these events were problematic, I found most issue in the actual blood draw. She began with shoving the needle into my vein at an alarming angle, then as she began collecting blood, she pressed deeper into my arm, telling me to stop moving, as if I was the problem. I had to suffer through 3 more vials, biting my lip to avoid voicing the pain. I still felt my arm hurting for hours after, and I've never had a bruise this large from a blood draw. This is my second visit to the Binz location. Both times, I went as a walk-in and the entire process took just over 10 minutes. Self check-in could not be any easier. I went today, on a Friday at 12:30 pm, and it was not at all crowded. The staff are always professional, friendly and efficient. I will definitely use this location for future lab tests and recommend their services to everyone in the area. I usually get my lab/blood work done at my PCP's office, but my womanly doctor wanted a blood test run and she said it would be simplest for me to go to the nearest Quest diagnostics to have it done. So, I went to this location, as 1200 binz and it was a nightmare! I walk in, sign in, and sit down. Nobody is at the desk, I wait for 10 minutes, 20 minutes, 30 minutes. Finally, I decide to ring the bell, my car was metered and I didn't want it to run out of time. This was supposed to be a simple blood test, in and out. This surly woman says (very rudely) "what do you want?" I tell her, Mam, I am going to put more quarters in my meter downstairs real quick, but I am not leaving, I'll be right back." To which she said, "you can take your time, you no longer have an appointment." Taken aback, I asked her what she meant- and she handed me the clipboard, and said "when did you sign in?" I looked at it, said "8:03". She said, VERY sarcastically, "Was your appointment at 8:03? NO. It was at "8:00". You were late, so I canceled your appointment." SERIOUSLY?! 3 minutes! and was she ever going to tell me?! she just let me sit there 30 minutes... Then she suddenly decides I can come back real quick, where the abuse continues!! She barks a series of orders at me, where to go, where to stand, etc. I comply quietly. The she tells me she needs my license and insurance card, I reach in my purse to get it out for her and before I pull it out she YELLS at me "not your phone sweetheart, your insurance and ID card!" HELLO, PSYCHO- that's what i was getting out of my purse!!! The she tells me to sit down in the chair. My purse and lab paperwork were on the chair, I pick them up to sit down and she again yells at me "I Need that paperwork hon!!".....OMG i was going to give it to her- I was just trying to sit down like she told me too first! Finally, she does her job, and draws the blood- and I've had blood drawn a thousand times, it usually doesn't hurt, but that psycho-freak pricked me so hard, I now have a HUGE black bruise covering the entire inside of my arm where she stuck me. She was so freaking scary, i was shaking, and really upset by the time I left. I will never come here again. And on exiting, I heard her yelling at another patient! Had an appointment at 11am for a drug screening. I got there around 10:45, signed in, and sat down to wait. There was one person ahead of me and one that came in after. All three of us were simultaneously taken to the back by three different staff members at around 10:55. The staff member that I was paired we was very nice and professional. She explained the directions clearly and made sure everything was sanitized and clean before I went in the restroom. I was a little weary of coming here before because I read a lot of negative reviews, but my experience was actually pretty good. I used the online method to schedule my appointment and had no problem with it. It also works fine over the phone - just make sure you write down your confirmation code. I paid $5 for parking for less than 30 minutes in the parking garage - so maybe park somewhere else. I think there were other lots that were less than $5, and there is metered parking. read more

I asked them, if they could please call someone who had more experience and they kick us out of the lab! The easy rules: walk in, sign in, sit, and wait to be called. It's that simple. If you have a question, wait for one of the phlebotomists to come out, because they do not have a receptionist. There seems to be only phlebotomists on staff. This is a lab located in a medical plaza, so 90% of the time it is going to be fairly crowded and busy. The speed at which they see patients, depends on the number of people staffed. They call people in the order they sign in, unless they have a scheduled appointment. Appointments trump walk-ins. Although my physicians, send me right down from their offices, I've learned to make appointments online. I can usually get one the next day or two. The staff is friendly and caring and that's big for me, because not only do I have to come all of the time, I am not an easy stick. read more

Do not go to this lab. I went on a Friday and had blood taken. On Monday my doctor's office said they had no test results and Quest said they did not have them. On Monday I went in to Quest again and spoke to Natalia (manager) and she looked on her computer and said they had all test results except one. Today, my doctor's office called and said that they ran the wrong tests and that the voice mail is full and she cannot even leave a message. So I won't be getting my spinal injection that was planned for tomorrow. The level of incompetence is truly astounding. I'd like to sue them. read more

DO NOT GO HERE! What a disgusting placed staffed with lazy people who have very little education. We should have left when we came in and no one was upfront but we could hear two women gossiping in the back. Someone came in while we were waiting and waited so long that she just left because no one came to the front. We finally just walked in the back and asked for someone. Some lady finally wandered out said she could see us. We took our 9 month old baby back there to find just two employees playing on their phones. They took our information and started the process to take blood from our baby. The place was super dirty. Like dirt built up in the crevices of chairs and the desk. Those rubber straps they use around your arm when you give blood were strewn about the floor after being used. No one picked them up. One of the ladies began taking blood from my baby but she couldn't find a vein so she poked around in his arm forever. I'm getting choked up typing it out - she just clumsily kept digging in his arm with a needle. He was screaming in pain. She had the nerve to blame us and ask us when the last time we gave him water was. We both answered that you don't give babies water to hydrate them - they drink breastmilk or formula. And he had had plenty of fluids that day. She said she had never heard of that and we should have given him water and that's why she couldn't find his vein. Unbelievable. That is extremely dangerous information and there is a reason babies aren't given water except for very small amounts. This person was uneducated and should not have been giving any advice on baby nutrition. I couldn't stand to watch her dig around in his tiny arm with a needle so I told her to take it out. She snapped at me that she was. She was SUPER professional. But what could I expect, eh? She didn't want to be there. Her shift was ending and she left while we were still there. The other lady ended up taking his blood by doing a finger prick. It looked equally as painful but it wasn't her fault. I was sick from worry after visiting that place. I'm pretty laid back and I understand not everyone loves their jobs but this was my baby we were dealing with and when you work in the healthcare industry you have an obligation to treat your job with the cleanliness, seriousness, and respect that it deserves. This place sucks. Save yourself the stress and go somewhere cleaner. And don't listen to the advice of everyone and anyone in scrubs. Scrubs doesn't mean that person is educated. It just means they are wearing scrubs. Trust your instinct! read more

This location was great. They have definitely upgraded from their previous location in the building. The new location is on the first floor of the building and it has been a renovated recently. It was very busy when I went in to get my blood taken. It took a little while for someone to show up at the front window, but when he did he gave me an accurate estimate of how long the wait would be. I opted to wait in the crowded sitting room. Fortunately they were showing the Little Rascals on TV so I was entertained enough. I am a big a baby when it comes to needles. I gave the ladies fair warning that I would need somewhere to lay down when they drew my blood. The technician did not seem to too worried as they had a room at the end of the hall with a place to lay down. I was absolutely thrilled. The place was cleaned and neat and organized. The technicians were not overly friendly but they were efficient and they did the job quickly. They gave me the time I needed to collect myself and did not rush me. Granted I came in with very low expectations, but I was very pleased with the experience. They even give you a card with the technician's name on it to provide a review to Quest should you have any comments. I will continue to come here as my doctor is right around the corner. read more

Never had any issues coming here. Staff is always friendly. The wait can be up to 30 minutes, however it goes by really quickly.

The staff is lazy, incompetent, and they don't seem to know what they are doing. It took nearly an hour for them to take my urine for testing. I had read other reviews about this location, but discounted them because you can't please all of the people all of the time. I should have believed the negative reviews. I arrived at 10:30 without an appointment and was greeted at the window, where I was told that I would be called. I left after 40 minutes, never having seen the person who greeted me and not ever asked about my needs. Either Quest is seriously undermanned, they have a seriously flawed training program, or their people do not care about customer service. Lab Corp has always been a better choice for me, and I am sorry that I took my PCP's recommendation to use Quest read more
