I had a good experience here. Checking in was very easy. I was able to use my phone, although they do have a kiosk that allows check-ins in the office. I was able to track my place in line from a screen that showed all of the checked in patients. The staff members worked together well. While my phlebotomist was going through my papers, a coworker needed help, and shortly after, she had a question, which he helped with. My phlebotomist did a good job with my blood draw--hit the vein on the first try (thank goodness!). She was also friendly. The location was clean. And there is ample parking in front. read more

Checked in at 3:01pm by the time I was finished, it was 302pm They would not let me do a urine test. All I needed was to pee in a cup for a drug test for a new job. read more

Had a drug test. Showed up 10 minutes early but got in 17 minutes later. Process was fast. No complaints

This place is run on a shoestring budget! There was no paper towels or soap in the restroom. After doing a urine specimen, this was not very sanitary, especially for a woman. No cleaning toilet cloth was given either, so you can get a clean catch. And they use masking tape after the blood draw instead of a bandage. The last time I was at this location I caught Covid so be careful. I don't think they clean the waiting area very often. read more

I originally went to the cedar park location, which appeared to have staffing issues this morning and was sent to this Leander location. Jessica was my tech and was phenomenal. I am a very very difficult stick and I did not even feel her blood draw. She was very welcoming and also checked in with me to make sure I was comfortable! Definitely will only get blood draws at this location going forward. Quest should consider allowing people choose who they book with as well! I'd pick Jessica again in a heartbeat. read more

Quest Diagnostic Blood Draw on Wednesday 11-08-2023 651 N US Hwy 183 Ste 155, Leander, TX 78641 Clarissa needs training on how to properly draw blood. She prodded with the needle for two minutes causing me continuously high pain in my right arm just to tell me she did not draw any blood. I was well hydrated and my veins in my arm are highly visible and easy to draw blood from. It has now been over two days and my arm still hurts at incision point from Clarissa probing me with the the syringe needle. The picture is of my left arm two days after the blood draw that Clarissa went to after being unsuccessful drawing blood from my right arm. I never had any bruises or issues from dozens of blood draws over the last 30 years. In fact I been complemented many times on how visible the veins in my arms are and how easy it is to draw my blood. read more

The staff are all friendly, despite watching them have some difficult interactions with unreasonable customers/patients. The waiting area is nice and clean. My wait is typically 30 min past my appt time, but i accept it and factor it into my schedule. This will remain my go to local stop for testing. read more

Tried to schedule an appointment online and literally could not so it was the last day of my employer paid drug screen and I showed up. There was barely anybody there, and I still waited on idk what? There was no one working the front so I couldn't ask questions or explain my situation. The ID scanner did not work. The check in process was confusing. In addition, there was only one person calling people back so it was taking about 8 minutes a person. When all I need to do is a drug screen this is frustrating. All that needs to be done is printing a label for my cup to pee in yet i'm spending time waiting. Needed to bring a fecal sample by. I cannot drive and I'm on surgery recovery. I sent it with my daughter and no one even acknowledged her. They had several people waiting and they refused to take the drop off sample so it's in the trash outside the front door as my daughter didn't want to take it to work with her and they already made her extremely late. Has the window for help covered so you can't see they're not doing anything in the back. Kudos to Quest Diagnostic for having a convenient location on the north-west edge of Austin. The advantage of this slightly out-of-the-way area is that it'll be less crowded on most days. Even if you don't have an appointment, the wait time for walk-ins should be under an hour. Their lounge area is strictly functional, and frankly a little depressing - it felt like I'd been sucked into an Edward Hopper painting. However, the staff there are friendly and efficient, so you'll spend a minimal amount of time in Hopper-dom and have your test done in a jiffy. Pro Tip: When you arrive at this shopping center you'll see it's dominated by a huge HEB Plus. Drive around to the right (as you face the supermarket) and you'll find the Quest location around the corner. read more

Terrible policies and aloof, uncaring staff. Redirected by my doctor's office to use quest so that Aetna's profits can be increased due to the negotiating they did (anti-trust) with Quest. Told by my doctor that they open at 8am and to get there as close to 8am as possible. With it raining, I needed to take my kids to school, first the middle school then the high school. Then after dealing with morning school traffic made it by 8:25am. I checked in on a tablet and after 20 minutes somebody came out and said my name and said sorry no walk-ins. I said I am not a walk-in my doctor sent over the labs. Lady said "oh well you were 15 minutes late so the appointment was cancelled". I see. I will do whatever I can, pay 10x the costs of the labs in cash if need be, to avoid using Quest ever again. Terrible policies, uncaring staff. Here's what a real service professional would have said: "It looks like we had you scheduled for 8am. Let me take a look and see if we can get your blood work done after this next appointment." Or, perhaps just OFFER to reschedule when you see that I am visibly dumbstruck by your asinine policies. But no, you just basically told me "too bad so sad goodbye". read more

Tried to book an appt but all were taken for several days. Showed up as a "walk in" at 7:10am and was told to expect a 5 hour wait....there were two people ahead of me. I waited an hour and none of us had been seen. So i left and went to the next location listed on the Quest website only to be told "we don't do blood draws here." Seriously? I thought that was literally all that Quest did. Dealing with Quest is always frustrating. So i called my doctor and switched my referral to CPL....No wait, no issues. read more

Made an appointment for new job drug test over the phone automated system for 3:15pm. Never got a confirmation email. Went to their website to see if appointment would pull up and it didn't. So I went in as a walk-in at 9:55am and waited for more than one hour. They were taking in walk-ins that came after me. Finally, I asked one of the employees when my turn would be. She said your appt is at 3:15 so the system pushes you to back of the line. So wouldn't the employee check or ask the person with an appointment at 3:15 why they are here 5 hours before the appointment. If I hadn't spoken up, they would have me sitting there for 5 hours!!! Where is the common sense or customer service. Also they did not have anyone at the front desk to help. read more

Terrible place. Waited and waited. They said their computers were down. No one at the window to change an appointment with or even talk to. Ruth was fabulous. We had a few problems as my doctor hadn't sent my order over yet but she got it handled quickly and efficiently. I also forewarned her that I often pass out when having my blood drawn. She didn't argue with me, but listened and made sure I was absolutely comfortable. She did a great job. It's never fun having lab work done but Ruth was an absolute professional and made the whole process as easy as possible. read more

Just arrived at quest diagnostics Leander on North 183. I was dropping off a sample for my wife. There was no receptionist and I just stood in front of the window waiting for someone to show up. When the technician showed up he said sign in. I told him I was just there to drop off a sample. The next words out of his mouth was SIGN IN ! I'm not an idiot and I don't like to be spoken to in this manner. Very rude and argumentative. I let him know that he was rude and should not be talking to me like this. Very disappointing. One person was in the building ahead of me and it is now over 15 minutes since I arrived. I'm guessing my way it's gonna be a lot longer. Sorry, not my fault this person is having a bad day. read more
